I don't know if I made them ooc here but I hope I didn't.
Reviews are much appreciated and it will be really helpful since I didn't read the novel
They have now arrived at the Miload territory
Kenichi and Naoko together with felt and Reinhard are now walking towards the door of the huge mansion as the Natsukis look around in amusement
The garden is well organized and the huge mansion looks outstanding, this put a lot more unnecessary pressure to them as they thought that their son is now living in luxury and doesn't need them anymore
Of course they fully well know that their son isn't like that but they felt so self-conscious and out of place as the people around them wore something really formal while they're still only wearing the clothes that they had before they got transported here
The nervousness only gotten worse as the huge door slowly open showing a tall young maid with long pale gold hair, green eyes and mouth with sharp fangs
"Please, follow me our dear guests" the maid said as she assist them in a huge room with painting and decorations hanging in the walls
There's a set of four sofas facing each other while in the middle was a not so tall table, they then all went and sat as the maid talk "I've been informed by the sword saint here that you're Subaru-san's parents, I'm Frederica baumann a maid in service to Roswaal L Mathers. it's my pleasure to meet both of you, I'll call Subaru-san now" she then bowed and walked out of the room
Reinhard being the observant guy he is. noticed the couple's nervousness as they both hold each other hand while slightly shaking preparing themselves for the worst
"Don't worry Kenichi-san and Naoko-san, I don't think Subaru really change that much, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to see his parents again after such a long time" Reinhard said confidently
The couple smiled at this as they appreciate the Knight's reassurance "thanks, we're just really nervous to see Subaru again after so long" Kenichi said while calming down
They then heard a familiar voice coming from outside the room, it was from someone who they know since the day he was born, they loved him so much that their world crumble because of his disappearance
The couple are now standing as they wait patiently as every second felt like minutes
The door opened to show a nasty-eyed boy with black hair and is still wearing the tracksuit jacket that they last saw him wore, he then talked with his usual energetic tone as he looked around the room "Okay, so who's the guests that came specially for me?"
At first he only saw Reinhard and felt sitting in the sofa who is slightly visible in the view from the doorway, then he looked as he noticed that there is two more person that is standing in front of the other sofa
Then he saw them, he can't help but froze as he can't believe what he is seeing and it left him completely speechless, the two familiar figures that he's been wanting to see is just right there, his parents is now standing in front of him
He subconsciously walked towards them as his tears started to fall down in his cheeks and he can only hear the loud sound of his heart pounding so hard
Kenichi and Naoko we're trembling as they're completely frozen at their place seeing their son walks towards them looking rather healthy but looking tired and depressed as well
Then finally he got near them with enough distance for them to hug each other as tight as they can as if they want to break each other's bones
The three then cried and cried, so loud to the point that it can be heard even outside of the room, Reinhard and felt looked at them smiling and tearing up too as they witness the heartwarming scene unfold but they know that they need to give them the alone time they deserve so they quietly walked out of the room as they were content from what they've already seen
Of course none of the Natsuki noticed them as they were too focused hugging each other while the burst of emotion overwhelmed them
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I.. I left you both alone without saying anything" Subaru said as he felt extreme pain in his heart, not because of some curse but just because he felt guilty for being happy that he was transported in this world instead of thinking about his parents
"No, it wasn't your fault Subaru, don't blame yourself" Naoko said as she tighten her grip holding her son's back, she didn't like how he blamed himself for something he didn't intentionally did
"When I was transported in this world, I didn't even thought about how worried you two will be or even think of a way to come back, I'm so sorry" Subaru howled as his heart is overwhelmed of mixed emotions
"It's ok now, you don't need to beat yourself for it anymore, we understand" Kenichi said while patting his son's back "and we're responsible for it too, we wouldn't even notice that there's pressure weighing on your shoulders if you didn't stop coming to school, it was too late when we realized since you already given up"
There's a moment of silence again, they just hugged each other while savoring this precious moment
"Are you okay here? Did you manage to make friends? Are they kind to you?" Kenichi asked as he wanted Subaru himself to tell him his stories and make him open up as he feels that he have more to say than what Reinhard and felt told them
Subaru wipes his tears off and raised his face up to look at his dad's calm worried face, he noticed the visible tiredness in his eyes and he's not that muscular anymore than what Subaru remembered
His mom wasn't any better as she looks thinner and her usually intimidating eyes looks so tired and depressed, he then started to tear up again as he felt like shit for being such an ignorant son, he should have thought more of his parents,
Kenichi and Naoko again hugged their son as they felt his pain, they all look tired, their eyes are now a little swollen and reddened as the tears just keeps on falling
It took them a little while to calm down as all of them just keep on crying while all the stress slowly fade, the past few months was depressing and hellish but it's now over as they finally found their son, this isn't the time to be sad as they now reunited, Kenichi thought to himself
"So... Subaru, we heard you're treated like a hero in this world but you didn't really look like one" Kenichi jokingly said as he tries to lighten the mood
Subaru slightly laughed at this, he knows how exaggerated the rumors had become "well... I didn't really done that much, it was all because of the help from the friends and strong comrades that I made along the way" he said with a smile on his face
"Is that so? Well we're just glad that you're safe BUT ~Subaru, we wouldn't let you do any of those dangerous things anymore, DO-YOU-UNDERSTAND?" Naoko said calmly with a fake smile as she's obviously pissed for her son's recklessness
Subaru shivers as he felt his mom's cold stares "yes, ma'am" he said while saluting like a soldier "but..." Subaru said as he turned away his gaze
"But what? Subaru?" Naoko said while still smiling
"Um... I can't" he said as he started sweating like crazy "Well you see, mom, dad. I'm actually a knight here" Subaru shyly said "and I have the duty to protect the future king of this country, Emilia-tan"
"Oh ho, looks like friends aren't the only one that you found here, Subaru" Kenichi smugly said while holding his chin as he looks at his son with interested eyes
Subaru then blush slightly "ah yeah, I have someone I like. she's really pretty like an angel that came down from the heaven" he said as he kneeled down as if he was Romeo of the scene where he was looking at juliet that is standing in the balcony
Naoko sighed as she saw her son's energetic side again after such a long time, it warmed her heart and now she can't argue with him anymore "Okay, fine but Subaru just be careful cause if you don't. I'll make sure to stop you by any means necessary" she said furiously while pouting cutely
Kenichi and Subaru just looked at her with stunned eyes before laughing really hard as they hold their stomach
"Hey you two, what's so funny? Did I say something weird?" She said sheepishly
"Ah sorry hon, it's nothing" Kenichi said as he just stopped laughing
"Hmph, you both are really father and son" Naoko said bashfully
"What is that loud noice, I suppose" a cute voice said coming from the doorway, there stood a cute adorable-looking young girl with blonde hair tied into frilly vertical drill-shaped twin tails and blue eyes that have pink butterfly patterns
"Aww so cute, what's your name young girl" Naoko said with a now genuine smile. "Betty is certainly cute but I'm not a young girl, I suppose" She said shrugging off the woman's question
"Is that so? how old are you then?" Naoko asked while adoring her cute response "Hmph, why should betty tell you her age when betty don't even know you, I suppose" she rejected
"Beako don't be like that, well you see, they're my parents" Subaru happily said then turned to face them "mom, dad this adorable girl here is beako, she's a contracted spirit of mine"
"Your parents? Didn't you say that you left them in your world when you suddenly got transported here" Beatrice said with a really serious tone, this then struck Subaru as the realization rush into his mind
there's no way!! this can't be, Subaru thought to himself as he began to sweat "Is the witch of envy the one who transported them here? Are they under the curse too? Why did satella did this? Too many questions flooded his mind
"Subaru are you okay? you look pale" Kenichi asked worried
Naoko hurriedly touched Subaru's forehead to checked her son's temperature "Are you feeling fine? you should rest for now let's just continue this tomorrow"
Subaru had now regained his composure and not wanting to worried them he simply just smile "I'm okay mom, I just got a little bit dizzy and I really want you both to meet my friends" Subaru said as he scratch the back of his head, he decided to shrugged it off for now
"Well, if you said so then let's meet them" Kenichi smiled back at his son, "wait! before that... I just have something I want to say" Subaru said embarrassed
"What is it, Subaru?" Naoko said confused while holding the side of her face, "Mom, Dad... thank you for all the things you've done for me and... I love you both" Subaru said with a really reddish face
Kenichi and Naoko is struck by this but is also happy to see there son being honest, Beatrice on the other hand is left speechless as she never seen her contractor this flustered before, Betty need to burn this into her memory, Beatrice thought to herself while looking at her contractor
"We love you too, Subaru" Naoko said, Kenichi nodded in agreement, "so... Shall we go now" Kenichi asked
"Wait, I'll still need to introduce myself, I suppose" Beatrice said stopping the other three in their tracks as they're about to leave the room "oh sorry beako, I forgot that you're here" Subaru said apologetic
"Hmph, you're a really hopeless contractor, betty will forgive you but in exchange you need to headpat Betty later, I suppose" she said with her usual cute tsundere tone.
Subaru then walked towards Beatrice and lifted her "of course, I'll headpat you as maaaaany times as you want" Subaru said happily
"Su-Subaru, p-put me down Subaruuuu" Beatrice stutter
Kenichi and Naoko just chuckles as they see Subaru being really close with this little girl. they look like siblings, Naoko thought to herself
and that's chapter 3, to be honest this was a really hard chapter to write than what I expected it to be.
Betty finally made her appearance and the others will be in the next chapter.
unfortunately, it might take a while before the next chapter again cause I'm really stressed out because of my studies but I'll make sure to update before October ends.
