All right, here is chapter 43 and hopefully you all like part three of the Almora arc. I'm glad that we got here to this chapter, especially with a scene that my friend worked on. We will also get to see some more parts on Almora. Now again yes there will be some fighting soon guys, but be patient.
Last time we saw the Rangers reunite and go over what they can do to prove the Republic is innocent. We are also introduced to Tiberous who dislikes the Jedi and will have some more time in this chapter. So hopefully you all will like it, especially how my friend who has been helping me with this story wrote the scene but I edit it a little. Still, thanks dude and I hope everyone likes this chapter.
So what is going to happen here? Read on to find out and time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything of Star Wars or Power Rangers just my OCs, while Tiberous made by my friend. Enjoy the chapter everyone and hope you like this.
Almora part III
Almora
Alexis looks out from her balcony at the city with a concerned expression. She's glad that Padme and the others arrived safely, but is worried that things might not go well unless they find a way to prove the Republic is innocent. Thankfully she knows her dad would never side with the Separatist and neither would she. Her brother though, if he agrees with the Separatist then it might end up in a civil war if the people are torn to choose a side to be on.
"Could that be what Dooku wants?" she asked herself guessing that was the plan. "Hmm no, even my brother wouldn't do something that would risk the lives of the people. Still, Dooku might try doing that if possible."
She just hopes Padme and the others will be able to try convincing her brother that they are innocent. At least enough to convince him so that he won't join their enemies. She doubts after this meeting they will ever be allies with the Republic, so even if they succeed in telling the truth it won't matter. Almora will never be on the side of the Republic or its leaders.
"Alexis," she turns around and sees her husband walking into the room. "You okay?"
She nods in response. "Yeah, just trying to be alone with my thoughts. How are things out there?"
Nathan lets out a small sigh. "Same as always. The guards are doubling in security and your brother has the royal guards be ready when Dooku arrives."
She knew her brother would want their best guards on standby when the Sith Lord arrives and in case he tries anything. "I guess this means he is arriving soon," she looks up at the clock to see they still have three hours before dinner begins, and then an hour more before the meeting starts. "Where are the kids?"
"Doing their part to help out as best they can," Nathan replied as he sits down on a nearby chair. "I would go with them, but I am needed so when Dooku arrives I'll be there."
"I take it Nathan will be there?" she asked.
"Yeah, but he asked you to stay here so you can talk to your father about the meeting," he replied glad his wife won't be joining them when Dooku arrives. "I would have said no since I know how he is when I'm around, but it would be best for me to be there just in case the old man tries something."
Alexis wanted to go with her husband and brother, but knew he was right. The two of them can take care of themselves, even against Count Dooku. Still, she hopes the two will be able to get along before and when he arrives they'll be able to get along. They'll need to if they are to help keep their world safe.
"By the way, how is Numa doing?" he asked as they look over at the sofa where their daughter is sleeping.
Alexis walks towards her daughter and begins petting her head gently. "Her nightmares seem to have died down a little, but I'm still worried they might return. Let's not forget at the dinner all the members of the family must be at attendance. If she sees Dooku it might remind her of all the bad things he did to her home."
Nathan knew that was true. Numa knows who Dooku is and how he was responsible for the first invasion on Ryloth, where she lost her parents. If she saw him again it might bring back more bad memories. If she sees any of Damien's monsters as well it will hurt her even more.
"Don't worry, we'll make sure she stays safe and be away from Dooku," he replied reassuring his wife all will be fine. "We just need to get through dinner and then we'll have the kids take her to her room where she'll be safe."
"Thanks," she replied leaning forward and kissing her husband on the cheek. "Well, I better go get ready then. Also be careful with Tiberous. I don't want you two to get into another fight. Otherwise my dad might do something about it."
Nathan nods in response knowing his wife is right. "I know, but you know him and how he can be like."
"I know," she knew all too well how he is like, especially earlier today. "It's a shame he turned out like this. All because of…well you know."
Nathan lets out a small sigh and nods sadly. "Maybe if things turned out differently he wouldn't be like this."
"You think so?" she asked.
"Yeah, I do," he replied as he gives her one last kiss before heading out the door. "I'll see you for dinner then, take care."
He walks out the room and closed the door leaving his wife alone. "Yeah, you too." She then turns to her daughter and kisses her on the cheek. "I'll keep you safe, I promise."
Endor
The Rangers arrived at the Command Center where they look around to see no one is here. "That's strange, where is everyone?" Rick asked.
"Maybe they're busy?" Rachel suggested.
"If they are then should we come back later?" Barriss asked not wanting to disturb them if they are doing something else.
The door nearby opened and in comes Alpha. "Oh, hello Rangers. What are you doing here?"
"Hey, Alpha. We just came to see if you guys found anything or got something for us to present to or friends," said Lux hoping they got something.
"Well, it's too soon to say but Zane said he is working on something that should prove who was behind the attacks," Alpha walks over to the computers and shows the green magic that he recorded before it vanished. "This was inside the bodies of the Clone soldiers and was the reason they did what they did."
"Great, we can present the sample and have it look like the Republic found it," said Rachel knowing when it comes to magic, the people of Almora has a history with it and would believe them.
"I'm afraid the magic disappeared before we can present it to you all," Alpha however, had a backup plan. "We did manage to get some of the small remains, which we plan to use to summon the one who used these Clones. However, I did have another sample of the remains here in case you want to present it."
Alpha hands Rick the vial, but it didn't seem to be enough. Barriss took a look at it and lets out a small sigh. "I'm afraid even with this I'm sure it won't convince the people of Almora without more of it," she then came up with an idea and turns towards Jake. "I remember the Council said you kept some of the bodies. Do you still have the ones that Zane didn't take?"
Jake wasn't sure himself since he didn't ask his parents where the bodies are kept, but knew someone who did. "Rick knows, he's been where they kept the bodies, right?"
Rick nods in response. "Only twice with your father and to see if it was true we were attacked by the Clones. I think I might be able to get us in there to maybe get some more samples, but that's if they are still in the bodies."
"All right, we'll go in and get the samples then present them to the Republic," said Ahsoka figuring doing all of this will be easy.
"Not right now," said Rachel as she explains why. "Security is tight right now on all levels. The only time that will be best to get any kind of samples would be around the dinner meeting and the guard shift."
"Even then we would only have probably a minute or two to get the samples," said Rick knowing that is a tight time to get what they need. "Alpha, is there a way to get all the samples in time?"
"Well, I think so," Alpha pressed a button and from a nearby table and out comes what appears to be a blaster with a vial attached to it. "Press this against the body of the Clones and it will suck up any of the magical residue left inside. This will also keep it from vanishing and should be able to help prove the Republic's innocence once it has been tested."
"How can we test something like magic?" Lux asked knowing that is not possible. "We don't have anything like that back home."
Ahsoka nods in agreement knowing they don't have anything like that at the Jedi Temple. "That is unless Almora has a facility that tests magical items."
Jake, Rachel, and Rick froze then began looking around nervously. Their friends noticed this and figure out why they are acting this way.
"Y-you guys have a way to test magical items?" Barriss asked while shocked to the news.
"Yeah," Jake replied feeling a little embarrassed for not telling them earlier. "We were going to tell you guys, but it was to remain a secret since well a lot of the items that were tested were considered dangerous."
"He's right," Rick agreed. "The items are locked up in a safe place that even we didn't know about. However, we know they have the tools needed to test out any items that can help us prove the Republic is innocent."
Ahsoka turns to Barriss who nods her head. "All right, we'll join Padme and the others at the dinner party while one of you will have to help get the samples needed to test them."
"Rick can go," Rachel suggested recalling a conversation she had earlier with her mom. "Since Rick is not blood-relative he doesn't have to go to the dinner with us. We actually thought he could use that to gather some evidence, but we needed to know where to start."
"He can start with the bodies," said Lux as he turns towards Rick, "You okay with this?"
Rick shrugs his shoulders. "I'm fine with whatever we decide on, but as long as it helps us find proof the Republic is innocent and if I can get a little assistance with the guards. Alpha, can you hack into the security system to help out?"
Alpha knew he had to help Zane, but the Rangers needed his help also. "I'll talk to Zane first, but I think I can help you get to the bodies."
"All right then, for now let's head back home and go over the plans with the senator," Jake then turns towards Rachel. "Tell mom and dad what we're going to do, but make sure our uncle is not around when he hears this."
Rachel nods in agreement knowing if their uncle finds out what they are planning their plan will fail. Thankfully they have someone in the research of magic that can help them get the information they need and is loyal to them.
"Jake," Ahsoka called out. "I was wondering, would it be okay to tell Obi Wan? I mean I know we decided to wait to tell him, but I feel if he knew this information he could help us a lot when he speaks to the Council."
Jake was still unsure about having them tell the Jedi Master the truth, even if he is a close friend. However, he recalls a talk his dad had about Obi Wan's master and their connection with one another. He decided that maybe it is best to tell him, especially if Ahsoka trusts him. Still, he needs to be sure the others are okay with this.
"Guys, what do you think?"
Barriss was the first to speak, since she had talked about this topic with Ahsoka before. "Master Kenobi is loyal to the Council, but he is also loyal to his friends and I'm sure could keep this from them. He trusts the Power Rangers and if he knew who we were he would help."
Jake then turns to Rick who agrees with Barriss. "He doesn't strike me as like the other Jedi Masters and is like someone who can keep a secret. Yeah, I think we should tell him."
Rachel and Lux both agree with their friends. Rachel recalling the same story her brother told him, while Lux trusts him because of their last encounter and how he helped them during the rebellion on Onderon.
Once Jake sees all his friends are all in agreement, he turns towards Alpha. "Do you mind telling Zane we're going to tell Master Kenobi about our secret?"
He nods in response. "Of course and I'm sure he can trust him too with the information."
"Thank you," Ahsoka replied. "So, shall we get going?"
Jake nods in response. "Let's get back home and get ready."
Almora
Meanwhile in another part of Almora a special citadel could been seen outside of Almora's City.
The citadel itself was infused with the nature having walls being connected to hills and a the rest of the circle gate outside with yellow bricks making the rest of the wall along with vines covering the walls with a river flowing through the area as a moat along with a giant silver door with Almora's symbol.
But what was interesting was the inside of the citadel. The inside was a training ground with different cadets training to be in a higher league of Guard or Solider this was the training ground for the silver guardians.
The arena was circular with yellow golden squares on the path, but over the arena was a huge gap that would make anyone want to stay on high ground for one false move and one would fall 1o feet to the water which had deadly spikes inside.
The arena was connected by four roads, one leading to the gate, two other leading to a left and right archways for people to go inside and the 4th road led to some stairs that would take a person straight up the hill were a throne was waiting.
What made three of the areas unique was the statue's put up in memory of the Silver Guardians ancestors. On the right archway stood a giant silver statue of what appears to be an armored figure with two blades in front of him. Another statue stood nearby with another armored figure with a blaster in his hand. The last statue was a golden large creature in all its glory and power as it towers over the other two statues.
Meanwhile back to the arena Tiberous was in front of four cadet's two girls and two boys all wearing a brown GI uniform to show they were training.
Tiberous was checking his list "Tomcat Daniels?"
"Check."
"Pan Goko?"
"Check."
"Derby Luna?"
"Check."
Tiberous checked his list again for the last name "Janek Benison?"
"Yes Tiberous."
Tiberous stopped looking at his list. For the next couple of seconds everything went silent.
"What?" Tiberous asked very slowly.
"Beg your pardon, my lord. I mean yes, Prince Tiberous." Janek apologized.
Tiberous walked slowly to Janek "Tell me boy on the list it said you were a force user is that true?"
Janek mumbled his lips "Ye…" But before he could finish his answer Tiberous showed his face the back of his hand.
Janek wobbled for a while till Tiberous repeated his question "Tell me boy on the list it said you were a force user is that true?"
"My.." Again Janek was slapped by Tiberous but this time with much stronger force enough to force Janek to drop.
Tiberous walked closer to Janek's body to inspect him "Now I want you to say these words boy."
Janek looked up to Tiberous with pleading eyes, but this did nothing for Tiberous "I want you to say I'm a force user. I am scum, I deserve to die, I am the mistake of my power, if I died today for my planet no one would miss me, I am the curse of my parents I am the suicide that is going to happen. Say that for me."
Janek mumbled but he looked straight at Tiberous with hardened eyes "I don't care who you are I will not say that. You can beat me, you can insult me you can even kill me but I will never say that."
Tiberous studied Janek again before sighing "As you wish." Tiberous kicked Janek in the stomach again causing some blood to come out of Janek's mouth.
Tiberous took out the black box which contained the lightsabers of the Jedi he took from earlier. He activates it and swings it around to get a better grip of it. The lightsaber belonged to the Jedi, Obi Wan and was a fine weapon to use. He goes to strike the poor boy down, till Nathan arrived blocking his weapon with the Dragon Dagger.
"That's enough! You had your fun, now stop this," he replied pushing Tiberous back, before grabbing the lightsaber, deactivating it.
Nathan turns to Janek and bends down to check on him. He then turns to three cadets nearby and motions for them to come to him. "Take him to the infirmary. I'll check on him later."
"STOP." Nathen had ran straight to the interception and punched the lightsaber out if Tiberous hands.
The three cadets nodded as they helped Janek to stand and started to walk him to one of the archways. Nathan then turns towards Tiberous who was glaring at him.
"Insulting your cadets and punishing them with harm is one thing, but trying to kill them because they are force-sensitive now that is going too far," said Nathan.
Tiberous casually walks towards where the box is at and closed it. "It's to make them get strong, especially the boy. I've done this plenty of time and have seen doing this would help them tap into their powers."
"And those that can't?" Nathan asked not liking what the answer will be.
"None have ever failed," Tiberous replied keeping his back turned from Nathan. "That is why they are all strong and why we held our own against the Separatist."
"What they need is a teacher that won't torture or try killing them," Nathan spoke in a firm tone, not letting his brother-in-law get the better of him.
Tiberous turns towards Nathan. "My training has resulted in making our guardians and soldiers a force to be reckoned with. Why else would so many worlds fight for our alliance? Why else would our enemies like the Republic and Separatist try to destroy us? Because even they know how much of a threat we are and how our knowledge of the Force is greater than the Jedi or the Sith."
"The same Force knowledge you wish to use against the Jedi I taken?" Nathan asked getting a nasty grin from Tiberous. "That's not funny or something you should do. They are not our enemies."
"They became our enemies the moment they turned their backs on us and attacked our home," said Tiberous as the two begin walking down the stairs. "Hell I wouldn't mind testing the guards their abilities against that Jedi whore your son is dating."
Nathan's eyes widen in shock. "How did you?"
They stop in front of Tiberous's chair below the large golden statue before he took his seat. "The way he talked about her in front of father made it obvious he loves her and I could tell she felt the same way. It's bad enough you two adopted that child from Ryloth, but now your letting your own date a Jedi?"
"Who they date is their choice, not mine," Nathan replied letting out a small scoff. "I see you haven't changed, which is a damn shame."
"Neither have you, Green Ranger," Tiberous replied as his eyes turn towards the Dragon Dagger. "I would have thought you had retired after getting your ass handed to you by Damien's monster. But I guess you still want to prove you can still fight."
Nathan puts his weapon away. "I am doing this to help protect the people and make sure the new generation is ready."
"Right, putting your own kids in the front-line is such a great way to help protect the people," Tiberous replied in a sarcastic tone. "Oh no that is good parenting also."
Nathan didn't seem surprise Tiberous knew the truth, especially with everything that happened before. He looks up at the golden statue and the other two smaller statues as well.
"For someone who quit being one of us you don't mind using their image."
Tiberous looks up at the statues. "It helps with propaganda to get more cadets and the people off my back. I know it was because of the Power Rangers that our world stayed safe long ago," he expression changed a little to anger when a memory of the past popped into his head. "And the lies we were shove down our throats during those times."
Nathan knew what he was talking about and didn't want to get into another argument about it like last night. He made a promise to his wife and was going to keep it. "I came here to let you know Dooku will be arriving soon and wanted to know who's side you will be on during the meeting."
Tiberous's attention turns back towards Nathan and his anger begins to cool off. "Side with the group who can get killed easier."
"What?" Nathen asked.
"The Republic and Separatist are like Sand people. Put some meat in front of them and they will follow. Palpatine and Dooku their all the same just hungry idiots playing a game of Armageddon. Let them play their game, Almora will be the true victor as the two sides wipe each other out," Tiberous explained.
Nathan felt disgusted with his friend's logic. "Almora became neutral for a reason. To stay out of the fighting, even your father agrees with this."
Tiberous slowly went forward from his seat. "Neutrality is a falsehood for cover ups. No one is neutral, especially someone like Jabba who claims he is on the Republic's side, but only to do whatever wants in his system. Then there is Mina Bonteri who claims to be a Separatist, but she wanted to help the Republic by betraying them. Everyone lies in war, like you, father, and even my own sister. Just like you all lied to our own people to cover up the death of one of our own."
Nathan knew this topic was going to be unavoidable. "You know why it had to be done. It was to protect everyone, including our family, Tiberous. Anyways, I don't know why you keep bringing up the past like this, especially with everything that is going on. We need to let go of the past and focus on what is going on right now."
"You mean involving this Damien monster Zane told us about?" Tiberous asked recalling the story from long ago. "I really don't care much about him or what he wants. My concern is this planet only and nothing else, especially the whore your son is dating."
"She's not a whore!" Nathan replied angrily. "She isn't like the other Jedi we knew back then and is better. You need to let go of this hatred you have and focus your concern on your family."
Tiberous stares at him blankly. "I don't have a family. I don't have a sister, niece nephew, or a father."
With that act alone Nathen just shook his head in disgust and walked down the stairs. Before he leaves though he turns towards his brother-in-law. "You know, Zane misses you despite all that has happened. He still cares for you and hopes one day you'll be the man that you once were. And be the Ranger you once were as well."
With that said Nathen left the battle grounds without another word.
Yavin IV
Zane arrives on top of one of the temples of the planet as he begins getting thing ready to try summoning the one helping Damien. He managed to get some small samples of the magic from the bodies of the Clone soldiers. The spell is risky though since whoever he is summoning is as strong as Damien or has spells that could hurt him. Still, he is willing to take the risk in hopes of helping the Power Rangers.
"Zane, you there?" Alpha begins contacting him through his communicator.
"I'm here," Zane replied. "What's going on? Is everything okay?"
"Everything is fine. I just had something to tell you about a plan the Rangers have to help the Republic," Alpha explained.
Zane is glad to hear that the Rangers have something up their sleeves. If his plan had failed he will know the plan the Rangers have will be their backup.
"What is it?"
"They are going to try getting another sample of the magic from the bodies of the Clones and have it be send to a friend who can analyze it," he replied. "I know we can analyze it here too, but I am confident they have a way to contain the magic without it escaping like it did with our samples."
Zane had to agree with that. He remembers Alexis once telling him about the facility that was made years ago to investigate magical items and test them. If they did get any sample of the magic, he is sure they'll have a way to keep it from vanishing. If they can then they will have a way to prove the Republic is innocent.
"All right, how do they plan to get the bodies?"
"One of them is going to sneak in, while I help them," Alpha decided to ask him about this. "Do you mind if I assist them? I mean I know you'll need help in case things go wrong with the spell, but the Rangers need my help too."
Zane smiled knowing his friend wants to help the others. "Help them out, I'll be fine. Just be careful and keep them safe."
"Of course and good luck Zane. I'll be here if you need anything," said Alpha.
"I know," said Zane as he turns off his communicator and turns towards the sample of the spell. "All right, time to see if this works or not."
Almora
A Solar Sailer ship appears out of hyperspace and heads towards the planet with four military starfighters flying near the ship and escort it towards the palace. At the palace, Nathan is waiting for Count Dooku to arrive. The silver and golden guards are standing by getting ready for the Sith Lord. Nathan knew Tiberous wasn't going to show up, especially after what happened earlier.
He didn't care though, especially with how he was acting earlier. He sees the ship heading their way as it begins landing, with the guards surrounding it. The ship finally lands and the landing platform opens as Count Dooku appears. No guards by his side and does appear to be alone.
That was until Nathan noticed something from behind. What is that? Nathan thought trying to get a good look at the figure.
After a moment he finally got a good look and sees it is General Grievous, but he looks different. He is much taller, his body looks like it got upgraded, and his face looks different in some areas.
"Greetings, Nathan," Count Dooku greeted. "How are you?"
Nathan turns his attention back to Dooku and kept a straight face. "I am fine, although I know you don't care much for that," he then turns towards Grievous. "I see you brought your cyborg general with you. Just so we're clear though if he tries anything then these men have orders to put him down."
Count Dooku nods in response. "Yes I am aware of the rules. I also am aware you request our weapons," Count Dooku hands one of the guards his lightsaber and motions for General Grievous to do the same.
General Grievous moves his hands within his cloak causing the guards aimed their weapons at him. He slowly pulls out the four lightsabers, including his blaster to the guards. Nathan got a good look at his arm to see it looks more like the cybernetic prostatic arms they are making. The kind made for their veteran soldiers and to use for combat.
"Anything else?" Count Dooku asked.
Nathan didn't like how Dooku was awfully calm about all of this, but decided to figure out later. "You will be wearing a Force restraint bracelet to keep you from using the Force."
Count Dooku nods. "Very well, I don't see any harm in that and I'll make sure General Grievous remains on the ship if you're also concerned about him."
Nathan felt uneasy about all of this. Dooku was acting too calm about this. I mean granted he knew he would if it helps him get on Almora's good side. But a part of him felt the Sith Lord was up to something.
One of the guards walked up placing the restrained on Dooku's right wrist, while General Grievous went back on board the ship. Once the device begins to work the guard begins speaking to Nathan.
"Sir, everything is set."
Nathan snapped out of his thoughts and nods to the guard. "Take him to his room and keep him there till dinner."
The guard nods as he calls for others to join him and escort Dooku to his room. As Dooku left Nathan watches him leave and couldn't shake this feeling he had.
"I don't know what you or Damien are up to, but we will stop you both," he whispered before heading to the palace himself.
That's the end and it looks like there are some issues going on huh? From Tiberous and Nathan going up against one another, including something that happened in the past. How will affect things as the story continues? And how are things going to go when Dooku's allies make their move?
Check out the next chapter to find out. Also sorry guys again for taking so long to update, because of my classes and because of my work. Still, I want to thank all of you guys for the support and how the story has been going. I appreciate it guys and glad things are going well here.
