"So you're gonna dance for your talent in the show?" Linus asks as he is watching Alexis practice backstage with other kids.
"Yep." Alexis says bluntly.
"I didn't know you could dance Alexis." Marcie says as she comes over.
"Oh hey Marcie. Yeah I can." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Marcie!" Peppermint Patty shouts.
"Coming sir! Good luck Alexis." Marcie says as she goes over to Peppermint Patty.
"Whoa. Look at that!" Frieda says as everyone sees Charlie appear in smoke dressed as a magician.
"Who. It's Charlie Brown." Violet asks as other kids show amazement.
"You look good Charlie." Alexis says as she goes over to Charlie by the curtains.
"You too Alexis. You should do great. You're really good at dancing." Charlie says.
"Thanks." Alexis says as Charlie looks out the curtains.
"She's here. I've a really good feeling that tonight she will see the new Charlie Brown." Charlie says as he looks at the red haired girl.
"Why do you want to impress her to the point you're going out of your way? I think the you that you are is perfect." Alexis says.
"Alexis this is my only chance to make a good impression. I want her to see me for something other than a loser and a mess up." Charlie says as he walks off.
"But you're not a mess up." Alexis says sadly as Linus comes over.
"Still haven't told him have you?" Linus asks.
"How can I when he is so interested in that red haired girl? I don't know Linus. Maybe it's best I just don't tell him. It's my turn. I should go out. I'm gonna leave after so let me know how things turn out." Alexis says as she sighs.
"I think you should tell him. Maybe he will feel the same." Linus says.
"And what if he doesn't? I'll have made a fool of myself. You two are the only ones who know me for who I am but you're the only one who knows how I feel about him. I just rather not say anything for now. Least till I can find the right words." Alexis says as she goes out onto the stage.
