"I hope these will be enough. Whoa!" Alexis says as she is carrying some cookies toward the school doors only to slide on ice and nearly fall before she is then caught by someone.
"I got you." A voice says revealing to be Charlie.
"Thanks Charlie. I owe you one for that." Alexis says as she smiles shyly.
"What are best friends for?" Charlie asks happily.
"Yeah. Friends. I'm a little surprised to see you here. You seemed really over the mishap at the talent show." Alexis says.
"I'm okay. I'm not gonna give up though." Charlie says determinedly.
"You're still trying to impress that girl?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. Why?" Charlie asks curiously.
"Never mind. I'll see you inside." Alexis says as she goes inside and into the gym where everyone else is.
"Okay ladies. It's time for you to show off your best moves. Which one of you will win the first half of our competition and take home the trophy. Let them hear it!" Franklin shouts as the dance competition starts.
"How you doing?" Linus asks as he comes over and sits with Alexis.
"I'm okay I guess." Alexis says sadly.
"Alexis I really think you should tell him. You won't know unless you try." Linus says reassuringly.
"I'm just scared Linus." Alexis says as she looks at Linus.
"Listen to that noise. I think it's safe to say we know who our winner is! And now it's the gentlemen's turn to see who will be our lovely winning lady for the final dance of the night." Franklin says.
"Alexis just try. If you really can't do it do you want me to talk to him?" Linus asks.
"No. He's too interested in the red haired girl." Alexis says before the fire alarm goes off and the sprinkles go off.
"Let's get outta here!" Franklin shouts as everyone races to get out of the school.
