Chapter 54 is here and now here we are with the first part of this long arc. I tried to think this might go up to ten part, but it might go longer if things go like I think they will. Also, yeah net neutrality got taken down. However, we are fighting it guys.

Calling up congress to tell them to reverse this decision and suing the FCC. Hey, they owe us for not revolting for that bullshit tax plan they passed. Anyways, I hope everyone who lives in the U.S. is helping fight back. Without resorting to death threats please.

Anyways, last time we saw the debut of the Cerberus Ranger. How are things going to go? Will the Power Rangers be able to stop this new foe? Who is it? And for those who figured it out thank for not spoiling it for everyone else who are still figuring it out.

The Cerberus Knight Part I

Coruscant

The next day, news of the prison break broke out across the planet. The Chancellor called for an emergency meeting to discuss about what happened and what they are going to do. Meanwhile the Jedi are also reeling from the attack and helping gather as much information as they can. All while making sure the citizens do not find out the full truth of what happened.

Word of Vampira escaping has already spread across the Republic. They heard that a new monster appeared to help her escape and that the Power Rangers couldn't stop it. This caused the people to become afraid that this monster is powerful enough to defeat the Rangers. The Jedi made sure though that no word that this monster was in fact another Ranger.

Fearing if the people knew that a Power Ranger is working for Damien then it will cause more panic. They also did this to make sure the people did not lose faith in the Power Rangers and still believe in them.

Master Kenobi finished giving his report to the Jedi on what he saw and what he found. He explained that they found the two injured Jedi and some of the wounded Clones. However, the rest were killed off during the fight or died from their wounds. He also told them the Power Rangers left to recover from their injuries, but they reassured him they had no idea of this Cerberus Ranger.

"I have no reason to doubt them," said Master Kenobi as he continued to speak to the Council. "With everything that have done for us, I don't see why we should not take them at their word."

Master Yoda nods in agreement knowing that if Zane knew about this he would have warned them. "Know this we do, Master Kenobi. Figure out we must on who this Cerberus Ranger is we must."

"Whoever it is must be someone who is very skilled," said Master Luminara as the Council had watched through the security footage the way this Ranger fought. "He was skilled enough to not only defeat two of our own, but also defeat all six of the Power Rangers."

"Is it possible that this was Count Dooku or perhaps someone who was taught by him?" Master Kit Fisto asked thinking it must be Dooku.

"I didn't feel his presence while we fought," said Master Kenobi who knew Dooku well enough to know if it was him. "I also doubt it was Ventress or Maul. Ventress no longer serves the Separatist and if it was Maul he would have tried to kill me."

That much was true. The Council knew it couldn't have been someone like Maul who they know has a deep hatred for Obi Wan. Despite Kenobi's claim though they suspect it might be Ventress. Perhaps she is working for Damien without Dooku knowing about it.

"Whoever this Ranger is must be someone who knew how to get into the prison," said Master Windu as he shows the prison layout. "None of the alarms were triggered, got passed our security cameras without being seen, and appeared to know his way around the prison. Whoever this is must be someone who used to work for the Republic…or perhaps still does."

The Council all turned to Windu knowing what he means. A traitor within their own rank? In the past they probably wouldn't think much of this. However, with what happened with Count Dooku and what Krell did they knew it might be possible that one of their own could turn.

"If this is true then there is no telling who it might be," said Master Shaak Ti who suspects it must be someone of higher rank than Padawan. "How do we find out?"

"Hmm until know more we do. Great care we must take to uncover the identity of the Cerberus Ranger," said Master Yoda as he turns to Master Kenobi. "Keep this information of the Cerberus Ranger hidden we must. If the people know a Ranger works for Damien, lose faith in them they will."

"I understand," said Master Kenobi as he goes to take his seat as the Council continued with their meeting.

"We received word that the Separatist has reinforced their blockade over Kashyyyk," said Master Windu as he shows a hologram of the planet. "The Wookies are holding their own, but are low on supply and need reinforcements immediately. However, the Senate doesn't want to send more reinforcements to the planet after losing much of our forces on the blockade alone."

"How do we get to the Wookies then if we can't get through the blockade?" Master Shaak Ti asked wondering how they can help their allies.

"Hmm find a way we must to get to the planet without getting through the blockade," said Master Yoda as the Council turns to him knowing what he wants to do.

"It might work, but will they help us? I thought they said they wouldn't get involved in the fighting?" Master Plo Koon asked.

"Sure I am they will help," said Master Yoda who knows the history of the Power Rangers and the Wookies.

Endor

The Rangers are in the Command Center to regroup after what happened last night. Lux is in the infirmary, where Rachel is sitting down next to his bed. Barriss is helping care for him after Zane and Alpha helped care for his injuries. Rick is in the corner on the floor, with bandages around his head, and appeared deep in thought.

Jake and Ahsoka are in the control room. Waiting to hear from Zane after letting him know about the Cerberus Ranger. Zane left the room and told them he needed to be alone to talk to Alpha. For the Rangers this left them confused on what Zane knows about this Cerberus Ranger.

"How is he?" Rachel asked as she asked her friend once more about Lux's condition.

Barriss understood Rachel being worried and again reassures her. "He is fine. Thanks to Zane and Alpha they managed to get him out of critical condition. He'll need to be bed-rested for a few days though. Good thing for him is it could have gone worse."

Rachel sighed in relief and thanks her friend. She knew this was the fifth time she asked this, but she was just worried about Lux. She was really worried about him when they brought him back from the fight last night. He was breathing slowly, he was in pain, and was not responding to them.

Zane, Alpha, and even Barriss worked all night to help him. Barriss helped keep him stabled, while Zane and Alpha healed as much of his injuries as possible. Rachel was relieved to know they saved Lux, but refused to leave his side. Despite being told he will be okay.

"Thank you for saving him," said Rachel as she thank her friend.

Barriss smiled softly and nods in response. She turns to Rick and gets up to go check on him. She could sense what he is feeling and sat down next to him. To help lighten him up after what happened.

"Zane told me you almost suffered a concussion. Good thing for you is you have a hard head to act as a second helmet," said Barriss as she tried to make a joke, but failed miserably at it. "Sorry, not good at this."

Rick turns to Barriss and shrugs his shoulders. "I'd be laughing, except the guy's attack hit me hard in the chest, and so it is hard for me to laugh," he said reminding Barriss of his injury, but then turns to her and smiled. "But thank you though."

Barriss was glad to see if she did snap him out of his thoughts and tries again to help him. "Listen, I know you feel responsible for what happened to Lux, but you shouldn't. You didn't know how things were going to go. None of us did. You shouldn't take any of the blame for what happened."

Rick turns away from Barriss and looks towards Lux. "I'm not…I just wish it was me instead of him being in that position. I tried to lead us to stop him and because of me someone got hurt. I should be the one on that bed instead of Lux."

Barriss shook her head as she placed her hand on his shoulder. "We all make mistakes, but don't blame yourself for what happened. We all thought we could beat him, we thought there was no one we couldn't beat, but we were wrong. Lux doesn't blame you for what happened and I'm glad you aren't on that bed. I would never want to see anything bad happen to you because…"

Barriss stopped herself when she realized she was going somewhere that might reveal too much of how she feels about Rick. "I mean…I care about you and don't want to see you ever get hurt."

Rick turns to Barriss and knew what she wanted to say, but knew she was still stuck with her code. "I know and thank you. I appreciate it, but still wish that I didn't feel like I could have done more."

Barriss nods understanding Rick's feeling. "I know and next time we fight the Cerberus Ranger then we will defeat him."

Rick liked that idea and next time they will be more ready. "Thank you," he said as he leans over and gives her a kiss on the cheek.

Barriss blushed a little as she turns away while putting her hood over her head. Rick noticed this and chuckled softly but then groaned a little as even chuckling still hurt.

Meanwhile

Jake began pacing around outside the infirmary after he told Ahsoka he was going for a walk. He was not happy with how things went last night. He took the blame for his team getting hurt and for not helping them when they needed him. He was warned by Warrior about this new foe, he could have gone over to help him, and he didn't until it was too late.

He felt like he failed as he rests against the wall and looks up at the ceiling. Ahsoka came by after finishing talking to Alpha. He reassured her that Zane will be coming out soon. However, it will take some time.

"Jake, want to talk?" Ahsoka asked as she sees Jake not reacting and just continued looking up at the ceiling. "It wasn't your fault what happened. We couldn't have known how things were going to turn out. But you shouldn't blame yourself because you didn't know how strong the Cerberus Ranger was. I didn't know and the others didn't know either."

Jake lowers his head and still felt like he should take some of the blame. "I know I shouldn't and the others told me the same thing. But I still feel this way because I wanted to stop Vampira from escaping. I wanted to keep her from returning to her master and cause more harm. I knew we should have stuck together, but I didn't listen to my gut."

"I didn't listen to my master and Obi Wan on Felucia or while liberating Ryloth," said Ahsoka recalling those missions and how she failed in both of them. "I got my men killed while trying to break through the blockade and on Felucia I was let my stupid pride get the better of me. Believing we could have stopped the Separatist and not seeing I was walking into a trap. If it wasn't for my master and Obi Wan I would be dead. All leaders make mistakes Jake, you aren't the only one."

Jake remembered Ahsoka telling him about Felucia, but this was the first time he heard about Ryloth. He just knew that she was involved in liberating the planet. However, he never knew about what happened. He soon felt bad since he knew the others all are alive, but the soldiers Ahsoka led did not.

"I'm sorry," said Jake feeling bad for having Ahsoka remember this.

"It's okay," said Ahsoka as she lets out a small sigh. "My master helped me see through my mistake and I was able to make it right. You will do the same thing, Jake. As long as we learn from our mistakes we can work to make sure it won't happen again. But only if we do it, together."

Jake listened carefully to what Ahsoka said and knew she is right. Yet at the same time he isn't sure if he is ready to get passed this yet.

"You sound like something Qui-Gon used to say," said Nathan as he walks by and approaches the two teenagers. "For someone so young you have the wisdom of a master."

Ahsoka couldn't help but accept the compliment, especially when she is told she sounds like the former mentor of Master Kenobi. "Thank you, sir."

Nathan nods before turning to his son. "Jake, I know you feel bad for what happened and that as leader you should take responsibility, but Ahsoka is right. As leader we have our bad days and accept our mistakes. However, instead of mopping around and blaming yourself all the time you should try getting passed this. You should learn from this mistake and make sure it won't happen again."

Jake now listens to his dad and what he is saying. "You all got your butts kicked because you all thought you could win like you have done before. It happens, believe me. It happened with the old team and we got our butts kicked. We came together though and made sure we wouldn't get our butts kicked again."

"Really?" Jake asked surprised to hear his parents and their old team got beaten like them before.

Nathan nods in response. "The next time we fight the Cerberus Ranger. We will defeat him and we will do it together. Okay?"

Jake turns to Ahsoka who nods at him. Jake turns to his dad and began smiling. "We will."

"Not until you know more about you enemy," said Zane as he walks by with Alpha beside him. "Sorry for taking so long. I was just…thinking.'

"About the Cerberus Ranger?" Jake asked.

Ahsoka looked at Zane and could sense something is on his mind. "Zane, is everything okay?"

Zane turns to the others and shook his head in response. "I am truly sorry for not telling you all about this sooner. I really am and you all deserve to know the truth."

"The truth about what?" Nathan asked wondering where Zane is going with this.

Zane was silent for a moment as Alpha kept silent before his friend responds to Nathan. "About the origin of the Cerberus Ranger and how it was made."

Rhen Var

Damien is in his throne taking a sip of his wine as he rewatches the fight with the Power Rangers against his Cerberus Ranger. Oh he has been enjoying watching his knight defeat the Rangers in a brutal way. Not only did he take them out, but he appears to have injured them during the fight.

If he is then that is fine with him. One less Ranger to deal with. He also watched his knight use the skills he learned over the years to now serve him. He has proven his worth and has done more than any of his worthless monsters. All who failed him as Mother Talzin appeared in the room.

"Enjoying the show?" she asked as she watches the fight.

"Magnificent isn't it?" Damien asked as he took another sip of his drink. "I can see why there was such an interest in him. The rage, the hatred, and the power he possesses. It makes him a perfect host for this power. A good thing too since there would be no one else in this galaxy that could control this power.'

Mother Talzin turns to Damien after hearing his story of the origin of this Cerberus power. "I can think of a few who might be able to control this power."

Damien knew who Mother Talzin means and smiled. "While Maul is powerful, I'm afraid this one is far more powerful."

Before Mother Talzin could say any more they begin receiving word from Dooku. Mother Talzin disappears as Count Dooku appears in the room in hologram form.

"Damien, I heard about the prison break last night," said Count Dooku who received word of what happened.

"Yes and I heard the old man is not pleased," said Damien as he took another sip of his wine. "I heard he was mad that I not only attacked the prison, but I killed more of his soldiers."

"The making of the Clone army is not cheap and it takes time to make more of these soldiers," said Count Dooku who knew the Republic is in financial problems.

"If it is cost of money he is worried about then I can make sure the people of Kamino make the army or risk being killed," said Damien as he snaps his fingers as Torus enters the room. "I can send my monster to make sure they work on making the army without any problems."

Dooku knew that would be a useful idea, especially to keep the Kaminoans under control. However, there was something else he needed to ask.

"I am curious. If you had this powerful monster just waiting around, why did you not use it earlier?"

Damien smiled as he got up from his seat and moved his hands out. "I confess. I had hoped to wait to use this monster on Zane when I find his base of command. I wanted to unleash my monster to destroy his precious home and then bring him to me. On his knees as I make him watch as I destroy everything and everyone he loves."

Damien then moved his hands down and picks up his glass as he swirls the wine around. "But, because of the failures of my monsters I was forced to bring out my new beastie to free my general. I know I was told not to do it, but the result was worth it. Not only did the Power Rangers fall before my monster, but even with all of them working together they stood no chance against him."

Dooku only heard of what the monster did to the prison, but didn't hear about what this monster did to the Power Rangers. This was good news indeed.

"Impressive. I am sure my master would like to see this monster in action. In fact, perhaps sooner rather than later," said Count Dooku as he brought up now what he wanted to talk to Damien about. "I require your assistance. As you know we have control over a planet called Kashyyyk, home of the Wookies."

Damien heard of these creatures and what they can do. "Giant furry creatures with the strength to rip a droid apart. Impressive."

"Impressive and troubling," said Count Dooku as he shows the planet on a hologram. "Our blockade has prevented any supplies from getting to the planet, but we are still dealing with the resistance from the Wookies. There is an oil refinery that the Droid army discovered, but we lost contact before we can get an exact location. I want you to send your new monster to find this refinery and take it."

Damien looks down at his drink liking the idea of testing out more of his knight's skills against such strong foes. "And the Wookies?"

"Wipe out any that get in your way," said Dooku before the hologram disappeared.

Damien continued to smile as he walks over the get a vial to release another monster. Mother Talzin appears in the room as she watches what Damien is doing.

"You are not going to send your knight to the planet?"

Damien shook his head as he picked out the perfect monster for this mission. "Why let him know about my knight? I can just wait for the right time to unleash him. For now though…" finds the monster for the job and pulls out the vial. "I will send the hunter to hunt me down some Wookies."

"I see," said Mother Talzin as she sees Damien prepare to use his magic to free his monster. "You never did tell me about how you acquired this power."

Damien stopped summoning his monster and turns to the witch. "I suppose it is fair for you to know, considering right now I am sure Zane is telling his Rangers the truth. The truth about where this power came from, how it was made, and two mortal enemies were once best friends."

Endor

Zane entered the infirmary where he promised the Power Rangers he was going to explain everything. Explain about the Cerberus Ranger and how he seems to know about it. The others recalled when they told Zane the name he seemed disturbed. As if he knew about this and didn't want to say anything about it.

However, their focus was more on helping with their injured comrades and trust that Zane will tell them the truth.

"I am sorry for keeping you all in the dark. I wanted to wait for the right time to tell you all about this," said Zane as he sees Lux has woken up. He wanted to wait till Lux was awake so he can know what is going on. "I know you all have questions about what happened. About this other Ranger and where he came from. I also know many of you believe I know something about this. Right?"

The Rangers all looked at each other as some didn't want to admit it, but some did feel that way. However, with everything Zane has done they had no reason to doubt him, but with what he is saying it seems that is not the case.

"If you know something, please tell us," said Jake as he is the first of the Rangers to speak up.

Zane turns to Jake and sees the look of trust in his eyes. He knew he should have done this long ago, but wasn't sure how it was going to go. He also didn't figure Damien would do this. Wasn't even sure if he could or not.

Still he took a deep breath and then confessed. "Yes. I knew about the power of the Cerberus Ranger and yes I knew Damien had this kind of power."

The Rangers didn't look surprised or shocked by this since they all felt Zane knew something. However, it didn't mean they didn't like that they weren't told about this before.

Before any could ask why he didn't tell them, Zane continued to explain. "The reason I didn't say anything is because I didn't think Damien would be able to use this power. Not without a proper host to use it."

"Wait, so how did Damien get this power? Did he steal it?" Rick asked.

"If he did how could he use it? I thought you said Zane that the morphers you brought back couldn't be used by those who are evil," said Barriss recalling what Zane told them before.

Damien lets out a long sigh and shook his head. "Because this wasn't a morpher I brought back. It was never used by any of the original Rangers. This was a new morpher that…that Damien and I made together."

"What?!" all six Rangers shouted at the same time in shock.

Nathan too looked shocked at what Zane just said as the older man continued with his story. "I told you all about how Damien came to be. How his father was Dark Spectre, the Monarch of Evil. However, what I did not tell you or at least told you accurately is that he was destroyed by a former ally of his. After his death, my father sacrificed himself to save the galaxy."

"Destroying Dark Spectre's army of evil and saving everyone," said Zane as he recalled that day how his father's pure good energy saved their home of Eltar. "However, Damien was not destroyed thanks to the barrier that was protecting him. At least, protected him from being destroyed. It turns out the pure good energy destroyed half of the evil within him and made him appear human. So, when he was born he was neither good nor evil he was just in the middle."

The Ranger were shocked to hear that there was a time that Damien was actually not a bad guy. This was really hard to believe. Considering all the terrible things his monsters have done. However, they still wonder how this guy ended up how he is now.

"I found him all alone and confused. Against the advice of my friends, I took him in," said Zane recalling that day how he met Damien and how he felt he wasn't evil like he was told he was. "I knew if my father was alive he would have wanted me to give him a chance to prove he could be good. To be given that choice to use his powers to help protect the galaxy. I knew he wouldn't be accepted by everyone, but I wanted to take that chance and help him earn their trust. Something I am sure you all would do yourselves I bet."

The Rangers looked at each other all with mixed feeling. On one hand Ahsoka and Barriss were taught to help give those a chance to show they can be good. Rachel, Lux, and Rick though were unsure if they could have done the same thing Zane did. Jake though, having seen how different the Warrior feels he would have given him a chance.

"I trained him and taught him how to be good. Use his skills to help other people and together we fought against the forces of evil. Over the years we fought alongside one another. To the point…to the point I called him my brother," said Zane as he remembered the good times he and his friend used to have.

One day, we came across a planet that contained a powerful Zeo Crystal," said Zane as he explains how the Zeo Crystal are an enormous power source that in the right hand can be used for good. "We too the crystal back and began creating a new morpher. One that would be even stronger than any past Ranger. Damien chose for it to make the power coin in the form of the Cerberus. A three-headed canine that on the old world I was from was the guardian of the underworld."

"And you thought that was a good idea?" Ahsoka asked wondering how makes the Ranger sound like a good guy.

Zane chuckled softly knowing how bad it sounded. "I told Damien the exact same thing. He then explained the Cerberus would be the guardian of peace and justice. It made sense after that and once we finished I gave him the morpher. So he could become the first Cerberus Ranger."

"So, back then you gave a powerful morpher to someone who would one day be our enemy? Why didn't you just give him an army of Zords while you were at it?" Nathan asked who didn't like how Zane kept something this important from them.

Zane understood Nathan's anger, but continued on with his story. "At first, everything seemed to have gone well. 15 years passed since he joined us and we helped protect the galaxy. However, as time passed more and more evil forces continued to appear. Trying to take over and harming innocent people."

Zane hesitated to continue knowing what happened next is something he will never forget. "Damien got frustrated because of this and wanted to use his power to stop destroy them all. I told him though that's not what we do and our powers are meant to protect the innocent. However, that all changed. We were summoned to Earth to unite with other past Rangers for a fight to save the world."

"I take it things didn't go well?" Jake asked figuring where this story is going.

Zane nods in response. "After we defeated the army, Damien disappeared. It turns out another evil empire was forming and so while I was on Earth he left to fight this empire. By the time I found out what he was doing it was too late. I went to where he was at and…"

Zane lets out a small sigh as he looks away from the others. "He managed to defeat the empire, but he also made sure there would be no one would be left alive to rise up again. He killed the men, women, and even the children."

Rachel gasped in shock at what Damien did, while Rick, Barriss, and Ahsoka were in shocked at what he did. Lux just lays on the bed closing his eyes trying not to imagine what Damien did. Jake though was in disbelief that someone that Zane trusted would do something like this.

"I asked him why he did what he did and he told me he was trying to send a message to anymore evil empire that if they try anything we will show no mercy. I told him that's not what we do and he tried again to claim our way made us look soft. Explaining that's why so many of us lost our powers and we had to acquire new power to fight our enemies. That we did whatever it took to win, no matter what."

Zane's breathing began picking up as he tries to control his emotions. "I knew I couldn't let him get away with this. So, I fought him for control of the Cerberus morpher. The battle lasted for hours and by the end of it…" he stops for a moment before turning the Rangers. "I defeated Damien, but I couldn't kill him. I left him beaten and walked away."

"Allowing him to come back and the war between the two of you began," said Barriss figuring where the rest of this story goes. "I don't get it. Why didn't you kill him back then when you had the chance?"

"Could any of you have done the same thing? Kill someone you once called your best friend, your brother, your family?" Zane asked as he got his answer when the Rangers all looked at each other and realized they probably couldn't. "I thought if I spared him he would leave to find himself. I thought of doing what my father would have done, but I was a fool to think he would do that."

"And in the end you left him with a powerful morpher that could end up kicking our asses," said Nathan who didn't like that Zane didn't take the morpher when he had the chance."

Zane turns to Nathan and had a smirk on his face. "I never said I didn't. I trust many of you saw the power coin the Cerberus Ranger possessed was only half?"

The others didn't pay much attention to that small detail at first, but they all did nod their heads in response. Wondering where Zane is going with this.

"During the fighting the power coin got severed in half. Damien took one half of the coin with him and corrupted it with his evil. I took the other and purified it. Thus cutting the power in half," Zane explained as the Rangers now get what he is saying. "I also made it so Damien couldn't use its power again, but I didn't think he would be able to find someone to use it. Due to the power of the morpher he would need to find someone with a lot of hatred, rage, and can handle the power without being killed from it."

Nathan thought about what he said and began thinking back of something Vampira once told him. But he was having a hard time remembering what it was she said. Then again that fight left him so beaten he spend most of his time trying to recover from his injuries. But he has a feeling he knows who the Cerberus Ranger might be.

"So, with his power cut in half can we beat him?" Lux asked as he struggled to get up from the bed, but Rachel and Barriss kept him down.

"You would need to work together to do it," said Zane knowing that might be one, but not the only way. "You will also need to be careful. Whoever this host is using the Cerberus power is someone who is very skilled and powerful."

"Is it possible it is one of Damien's monsters?" Rick asked figuring it must be one of them.

"No. Damien and I made sure no other monster would be able to use this power," said Zane knowing Damien would need him to help unlock the security for the monsters. "I don't suppose the Jedi might have some suspects in mind?"

Ahsoka thought about it and has some in mind. "To be that powerful. Ventress, Dooku, Maul, or his brother."

"From what Master Luminara told me, Ventress and Maul would have ended up taunting us during the fight," said Barriss recalling what her former master told her. "Dooku is possible, but Savage I doubt it since he is too tall."

"Until then we will need to get stronger so we can stop the Cerberus…" Jake is interrupted when Ahsoka and Barriss receive word from Master Kenobi. "Everything okay?"

Ahsoka shook her head in response. "Not exactly. Um Zane, Master Yoda wants to speak to you."

Zane wonders what the elder Jedi needs him for. "I will talk to him in a bit. For now, get some rest. We will resume training later when Lux is fully healed."

Rachel turns to Lux as he knew he won't be going anywhere anytime soon. "If it's all right with you. Mind if I stay with him?"

Nathan knew his daughter should return home to get ready for the festival, but he also knows she wants to stay with Lux. "Just for today. But tomorrow you are going home."

Rachel nods in response as she turns to the others who all decided they will head on back. Nathan and Zane left the room as the two head to the control room.

"So, any particular reason why you didn't tell us about this power sooner?" Nathan asked who is clearly still upset with Zane.

Zane could sense the anger and tries to explain himself. "It was my fault. I wish I told you and the others the truth sooner. I just…I didn't want to relieve something that I know was my fault. I am truly sorry and I promise I won't hide anymore secrets from any of you."

Nathan knew Zane meant it, but was still not ready to forgive him. "Just tell me if the Green Ranger power is enough to kick this punk's ass."

Zane sighed as he began shaking his head. "I don't know. Maybe, but I wouldn't take the risk. Right now we can't afford anyone getting hurt. If I know Damien that's what he will be counting on. Weakening us to the point that he will be able to wipe us all out."

"Let him try," said Nathan as he began walking away to head back home.

As soon as he left he begins heading to another room in the facility. He goes inside and finds his daughter still in the cryo-tube. He placed his hand on the tube and sighed. Recalling that day when Damien infected his daughter and tried to use her to stop him from joining the fight.

The fight to stop him from getting in his way. It made him wonder what would have happened if he didn't spare Damien. What would have happened if he did the one thing everyone told him to do. Kill Damien, would he have done it?

He knew though it didn't matter now. He knew he had to help the Rangers stop him and if things get worse…

"If I must I must, but only to stop Damien and keep the galaxy safe from his evil. That way no one will have to go through what you went through," he said to his daughter as he gives the tube a kiss and hopes one day to hold his daughter again. "Sleep well, my Serenity."
