"Aaaahhh" Yang yelled as her fists made contact with the door, which normally would be blown apart by her abilities but unfortunately now did not budge a single inch.

"Spare your strength Miss Xiao Long, I'm afraid it is of no use" Oobleck said, stretching his muscles after Ruby had untied him from the chair he had been strapped in for close to two weeks.

"Ugh" Yang moaned frustrated "I do not understand how he does this or why I cannot break open this damn door."

"Please calm down Yang" Ruby said trying to calm her sister down but to no avail.

"It appears that he has created a device that can shut down our semblance as long as we are in its vicinity, meaning it's still here in the house, hence why Miss Xiao Long's powers do not activate as per usual. A marvelous ingenious invention, if only the circumstances where different" Oobleck observed.

"The moment I get out of here Carlisle is mine and I'm kicking him six ways from Sunday. He locked us in here, took you prisoner for two weeks, played with Weiss' feelings and put Pyrrha in a coma over a stupid cat!" Yang yelled frustrated as she once again connected her fist with the door, once more to no avail.

"A cat you say?" Oobleck looked up surprised.

"Yeah, apparently Carlisle's…or whoever he is, his cat became trapped here in our world and he has traveled all this way just to rescue her" Ruby said.

"Really," Oobleck pondered in his usual eccentricity, though without the hyperactivity "that is quite interesting. So much dedication, this cat must mean an awful lot to him."

"Who cares! He has locked us in here and put people into comas, he's a bad guy and deserves to get his ass kicked" Yang yelled.

"Into a coma?" Oobleck questioned.

"You really missed a lot professor" Ruby replied.

The next few minutes where spend trying to fill professor Oobleck in on the events of the past few weeks. How "Carlisle" took over his job and in his zealous mission to retrieve his lost companion has put both Cardin Winchester and Pyrrha Nikos in a vegetative state. How Weiss and Blake had fallen in love with the new professor and had recently fought over him and how Jaune had assaulted him, which as it now turned he was totally in the right to do so.

"Oh my…I certainly have missed a lot" Oobleck noted, sitting down on the ground.

Yang was angrily pouting on the floor at the situation they were in. Angry and upset that she couldn't do anything to stop "Carlisle".

"So what do we now that we are stuck in here?" Yang asked frustrated.

"Well I assume you girls informed someone before you went here, I'm sure they will be looking for us any minute" Oobleck spoke up optimistically.

"I messaged Jaune before we got here but he never replied. He's been really downwards since what happened to Pyrrha. I hope he is alright" Ruby muttered worried.

"He will pull through Ruby he always does," Yang replied stoically "I just hope we don't get stuck in here as long as Professor Oobleck."

"I must say if you hadn't told me I was here for two weeks then I can assure you I wouldn't know, time becomes difficult to keep track if all you see before you is darkness and the same four walls" Oobleck replied.

The three said in silence for a while, taking the opportunity to calm down as much as possible and assess the situation properly.

That was until light entered the area.

Heads where raised as they looked up to see the door slammed open and Jaune Arc stood in the open doorway looking flustered at the three sitting on the floor. As if saved by a miracle Ruby jumped up and embraced Jaune deeply, sending both of them to the floor.

Yang and Oobleck stood up and walked to the open doorway, now meeting eyes with Ren and Nora as Jaune was held in a vicious embrace by Ruby.

"I'm so glad you're here!" Ruby yelled as she held Jaune tightly.

"No problem Ruby but could you please let go of me? We are kind of in a hurry" Jaune replied.

Ruby embarrassingly got up while blushing as Jaune stood up and the entire group joined up together, Nora smiling at finding her friends and looking up at a surprised Oobleck.

"Professor you have been here all this time?" Nora asked.

"It's a long story," Yang interrupted "we have to keep moving and there is a lot we need to talk about."

"Yeah, Jaune you were right, professor Carlisle is…" Ruby said before being interrupted by Jaune.

"Behind it all, yes we know. Ozpin just called us and we just met him, and it's bad so he told us to search the house to see if we can find something and we just happen to find you, but that's not important you need to come with us now."

"First things first" Yang said as she strode up from the rest of the group and walked over to Carlisle's study.

"Jaune what is so urgent? Did you get him?" Ruby asked.

Jaune sighed looking down in disappointment and frustration, his fists clenching.

"Jaune…."

"Ruby," he said taking her hand "he got Weiss. He put her into the same state as Pyrrha."

Ruby's heart sank upon hearing this, but her emotional response was broken by an angry outburst coming from the hall as Yang came out of the study with the Semblance Inhibitor in her hand and violently slamming it onto the floor and into pieces.

"That felt good" Yang said as she felt her semblance return to her. "Now let's go."

At the school grounds:

The two teams alongside professor Oobleck ran their way towards the school grounds as in the distance they saw figures appearing. The figures of Ozpin, Goodwitch and Ironwood all huddled around the floor over something.

"What happened!" Ruby yelled as she pushed past the rest to see a dead-eyed Weiss laying on the floor and complete silence.

"Weiss!" she screamed worried as she broke down next to her partners form, shaking her around trying to get a response but to no avail. Goodwitch silently pulled her away.

"Pull yourself together Miss Rose there is nothing you can do for her" the headmistress told her.

"But…but" tears began to form in Ruby's eyes.

Ozpin glanced over at Jaune as the scene unfolded "thank you for finding them Mr. Arc, I do owe you quite the apology but I'm afraid this is not the time nor the place for it considering the circumstances" he said.

Jaune nodded in agreement as Oobleck made his way through the small crowd towards Ozpin.

"Professor Oobleck what a surprise? Did they find you?" the enigmatic Ozpin asked.

"Yes headmaster! Two weeks ago I was just taking a stroll before I was knocked upside the head and locked into a basement. But luckily Misses Rose and Xiao Long came to my rescue and found me and filled with me on the situation, I cannot believe all of this, all that has happened while I was away."

Placing a hand on Oobleck's shoulder, Ozpin spoke up "it is good to have you back friend, though I wish the circumstances weren't so dire."

Ruby had broken down over Weiss' body, crying tears as she tried in vain to get a reaction but only to be met with an eerie silence as her eyes where open but no movement was visible. Yang stood in stunned silence, but everyone could tell rage was bottling up inside her.

"Headmaster what has happened here, Ruby and I went to Carlisle's house to investigate but he got us and locked us in, and now Weiss is in this state. What happened?" Yang asked crossing her arms.

Ozpin sighed and turned to Ironwood, who nodded in response.

"You are indeed indebted to an explanation of the events," Ozpin said as he turned back towards the entire group "the man we have called Firen Carlisle is not who he who claims to be. After the altercation with Mr. Arc I invited general Ironwood here to look into him to see if the Atlesian Military had some info on him. Turns out that the man in question incapacitated a retired professor and took his name for himself."

"The man's real name is Alector Nirvana," Ironwood continued "he claims to be from another world and that he has traveled here with a mission. A mission to find his lost companion, a cat."

"That's what he told us too" Yang said.

Jaune looked at both of them in surprise "seriously are you kidding us. Your saying he came all this way and put Pyrrha and Weiss into this state all for a cat!."

"It may sound ridiculous. But if what he said is true then the man was very dedicated, so dedicated he put the lives of the student at this school at risk just to find his cat" Ozpin said.

"That man is completely messed up" Jaune crossed his arms in response, his anger visisble.

"I think it's quite sweet" Nora said, and Jaune looked at her angrily.

"He put Pyrrha and Weiss into a coma for a cat! That's not sweet that's crazy" he shouted angrily, causing Nora to back down and Ren to step in front of her. "Calm down Jaune, this is not the moment to start shouting at others."

"Your teammate is right Mr. Arc, there are bigger things to worry about," Ironwood said as he stepped forward "our priority should be to find Nirvana and make him tell us on how to reverse this process."

"But where could he be?" Ruby asked.

"I often saw him and his manservant snooping around in the forest. If he was looking through that for someone it would make sense why he was always there. It is the best lead we have" Goodwitch said.

"Very well then," Ozpin replied "students I know I'm asking an awful lot of you right now. But you need to chase him, we'll try to get as much help as possible to join you very soon. Be very careful, we are dealing with a dangerous man who possesses technology we are unfamiliar with."

Yang immediately jumped "I'm in, I've been itching to kick that guys ass."

"I won't let him get away" Jaune replied confidently.

Ruby looked up as Ren and Nora joined Jaune's side and with one final glance at Weiss she stood up and joined Yang.

"We need to find him and fast" she said determined.

At the Cliffside…

A hand reached over the edge of the Cliffside begging to be pulled up.

Vadim ran towards the hand and grabbed it, pulling with all his might as the man known as Alector Nirvana was pulled on top of the cliff with one hand, while in the other he held a white kitten in his hand.

As soon as he had found solid ground he yelled "Vadim, grab the bag quickly."

The manservant scuffled towards the bag and opened it up and without hesitation Nirvana fumbled through to find a clear bottle of water, opening it with his fingers and placing it at his cat Milena's mouth, causing her to lap up the liquid with her tongue.

"That's it, you must drink my dear" Nirvana said softly as he looked at his cat, happily gulping down the water like she hadn't drank in ages.

"You found her sir" Vadim said.

"Yes I did Vadim, at long last she is safe" Nirvana replied looking down at his beloved companion with a smile.

"So what do we do now?" Vadim wondered curiously.

"Now," Nirvana said as he stood up, throwing the empty bottle aside and keeping Milena tightly in his arms "we go home."

Vadim looked up in shock as Nirvana walked past him.

"But…but sir…you do realize the danger that poses to us. The Superiors won't be happy if they find out your portal technology worked and you did not inform them. If they haven't already found out about it, returning could pose a great risk."

Nirvana stood still upon hearing this, and turned to face Vadim, his face unmoving and stoic.

"You are correct Vadim, they will indeed not be pleased. That is why upon my return I will have to inform them that I had to chase an operative gone rogue who went to hide in another world" he said.

Vadim looked at him confused.

"Sir…I don't understand?"

"Then allow me to explain. Sooner or later, probably sooner the Conduit will discover that we have left and that the portal works. And your record is not exactly…spotless…so convincing them that you went rogue and tried to flee to another world using the portal technology I created well…I'm sure they will be pleased to here when I return that I have dealt with the traitor and my absence can be explained by chasing you throughout an unknown land, until I finally found you and dealt with you" Nirvana told as stoic as ever.

The realization sunk into Vadim as to what his employer had been referring too.

"You….you were planning to use me as a scapegoat" he yelled in surprise.

"It is nothing personal Vadim, but you know this as well as I do, disobeying the Conduit is an obituary waiting to be written. Plus you're not exactly beloved within the Conduit, I've seen your records they don't paint the picture of a model employee."

Vadim was breathing heavily, his eyes where alight with fire, anger was building, anger that Nirvana failed to notice.

"Goodbye Vadim" Nirvana said as his right arm was engulfed in metal once more until a sharp pain shot through his left arm. Looking up he saw a seething red faced Vadim with a knife in his hand that was now plunged into his left arm, the shock caused him to drop Milena who landed on her feet below him.

"I WILL NOT BE YOUR SCAPEGOAT!" Vadim yelled as he pulled the knife back and prepared to stab again.

Nirvana quickly dodged aside and kicked Vadim in the back, knocking him a few feet away, he then stood in front of Milena and told her "keep your distance Milena!."

The cat took a few steps backwards as she saw her owner being attacked again by his furious manservant.

Vadim was quick on his feet as he tried to reach Nirvana with his small but effective knife, with the man trying to parry or block his move but not being able to get a hit in. On his right hand the metal had disappeared and the blood was draping from his other arm, the adrenaline making him somewhat numb to what could only be searing pain.

As the knife came forward, Nirvana grabbed Vadim's hand with his right one and gave a big pushback.

"You can't do this to me!" he yelled at his manservant.

"You were about to betray me! After everything I've done for you, everything I did to help you, YOU UNGRATEFUL…"

His sentence was broken by a screech as Milena jumped up and set her sharp teeth into Vadim's arm, causing him to reel back.

Nirvana took a few steps back as he saw Vadim slinging his arms in anger trying to get the cat's teeth out of his arm.

"Milena!" Nirvana yelled worried as Vadim continued to sling his arms around until the kitten let loose and she was launched at Nirvana, who grabbed her in his arms, causing him to tumble over and drop the Eliphas Code from his pocket on the ground.

"Are you okay?" he asked as the kitten purred softly at him and he saw an angry Vadim, small blood droplets coming out on the marks of his arm, walking towards him but not before grabbing the Eliphas Code of the ground and stuffing it into his pocket.

"All this for that little fur ball…..why did I even agree to this…you're completely unhinged risking everything for that stupid creature!"

A sudden bang could be heard as a heavy object made contact with the back of his head. He lunged over screaming in pain and Nirvana saw Blake Belladonna appearing behind him, Gambol Shroud in her hands.

"Stay away from him!" she yelled.

"You little filthy animal!" Vadim yelled he rubbed the back of his head, only for him to be lifted suddenly in the air without effort. Looking down he saw his employer with his mechanical arm active holding him tightly by his collar, still holding Milena in his other bleeding, before flinging him the other side towards the edge of the cliff.

"No…no.." with a scream following as Vadim was flung over the edge of the cliff, his screaming echoed as he dropped down the rapid waves below.

Breathing heavily, Nirvana turned towards his savior as he fell to his knees and the pain from his wound began to seep through him.

"Firen!" Blake yelled worried, rushing towards him.

"You saved me…" he said, holding a tight grip around Milena in his hand as the cat meowed at him with worry.

Blake quickly put her hands around the cut on his arm, looking at it wasn't a major cut but she kept her hand tightly secure around it as she took in the scene of the man before him, his right hand being made of metal and more importantly…the kitten in his hand.

Nirvana took notice of her expression.

"Blake…this is who I was searching for…who I came here to find…" he mumbled out, his head heavy and leaning against her chest.

"This kitten is who you lost?" she wondered curiously.

"Yes…her name is Milena. She is my closest companion and when I lost her I…..I couldn't stand it…I needed to find her, I needed to save her. That is why I came here, that's why I did what I could…Blake.."

His head fell down deeper against her chest as he tried to not think about the pain coercing through his arm, the worried purrs of Milena and Blake's words as she tried to help him.

"You did all this just to find her…oh Firen," she kissed his forehead "I am so glad you did, she means so much to you and you finally found her."

She looked at Milena who gave her a confused look in return, her green eyes greatly visible as she purred and snuggled against her owner worried.

"He is going to be alright I promise" Blake said smiling to Milena.

"Blake….you said…I was out of this world, you were right," Nirvana said looking up at her "you might think I'm crazy for saying this. But I am not from this world, I'm from another dimension…I created the technology to create a gateway to your world, but during my test I lost Milena so….so I came here to find her no matter the cost."

Blake looked at him without saying a word, she was dumbfounded in ways indescribable.

"Firen…what does this all mean?" she asked confused.

"It means…I need to go back to my world, I have no choice. I only came here to find Milena, and I had no desire to get involved or get personal with anyone but then….then I met you…and now everything is different."

"But…you can't leave…" Blake said somberly, removing her hand from the wound.

"I have no choice Blake…but things are different now…now that I met you. Come with me" he said, his bleeding hand holding the sight of her face.

"What?" Blake asked surprised.

"Come with me to my world Blake Belladonna" he said as he kissed her deeply as Milena looked at both of them with big curious eyes.
