Chapter 56 is here and got this up faster than I thought I would. Thanks to being inspired again to work on my other stories and finishing some of the ones I wanted to get done. Now I can focus on trying to get these stories done. All while trying my best to make sure to balance out my classes, job, and personal life.
Last time we saw the Power Rangers arrive on Kashyyyk where they are trying to save the Wookies. Will they be able to save them? Will they run into more trouble? And will they be able to stop the Cerberus Ranger?

The Cerberus Knight Part III
Kashyyyk
The Power Rangers gathered together at the city of Kachirho. It is a coastal settlement located in the Wawaatt Archipelago of Kashyyyk. Made up of several inhabited wrosyr trees. It also has two piers and docks extend out from the city into the freshwater lagoon.
It is also where the Wookie oil refinery is located. The Separatist have attacked the city many times in the past, but they couldn't break through their defenses. However, with a much larger army approaching and Damien's monsters assisting them the Wookies are in danger. Fortunately for them they have the Power Rangers and the Jedi.
The Jedi are with the Power Rangers, Tarfful, and the other Wookies as they go over the plan. The Green Ranger already explained the proposal one of Damien's monsters told him and he plans to go through with it. Mostly to see if he will keep his word and to buy them time before the fighting happens. He knew the Separatist wouldn't attack until the Hunter gives the word.
"I'll be fighting him here…" Nathan shows on the hologram map of the lagoon where he will fight. On this island, which lies in the middle. Between our forces and theirs."
Obi Wan sees where they are at and begins stroking his beard. "And we're sure this isn't some sort of trap? To cut our numbers down?"
Nathan shook his head in response. "I'm sure. If he wanted to kill us he would have already tried back in the jungle. If he wants to fight me I'll give him what he wants. This should also buy you all time to get the shields set up."
"We'll need it to get the defenses ready. Knowing the Separatist they will attack with or without the approval of the Hunter" said Barriss recalling how the Wookies explained the new shield generators will take at least half an hour to set up around their home and the oil refinery. "We should also be prepared in case they send any of Damien's robots to attack us."
"Agreed," said Obi Wan who knew Damien will most likely be watching the fight if what they were told is true. "We'll set up some traps to help alert us if they show up."
"Know this land well I do," said Master Yoda as he spoke up next. "Help the Wookies I will. In the meantime, prepare the army, Master Kenobi."
Obi Wan nods in response as he turns to Ahsoka. "You and your friends will be our last line of defense if Damien sends any more of his monsters or his knight to fight us."
"We know," said Ahsoka knowing what is on the line. "We'll do all we can to make sure nothing happens to the Wookies or the oil refinery."
Obi Wan nods as he leaves with the Wookies to discuss their plan. All while the Rangers begin looking over the map.
"Dad, you sure you want to do this?" Rachel asked who didn't trust the Hunter or what he is up to. "We can summon the Zords to help us fight against the Droid army if they attack."
Nathan shook his head. "I know what I'm doing. This monster seems a lot like what Jake told us about Warrior. If so then I will fight him and make sure he keeps his word. My only concern is if Damien is aware of this."
"If he's aware of this then he'll launch the attack," said Rick figuring that's what he has plan. "With or without Hunter knowing about it. The attack will happen and we have to be here to stop it."
"Then there's the other problem with this Cerberus Knight," said Ahsoka recalling their last encounter. "If Damien wanted to he could send him to attack us while you fight the Hunter. We'll need to be careful."
Jake nods in agreement knowing he doesn't want to risk anyone else getting hurt. "Dad, you sure you don't want of us there with you in case the Cerberus Knight shows up to attack you?"
Nathan smiles at his son and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. I've got this. And if the Cerberus Knight shows up I'll show him that this old man still has a few tricks up his sleeve."
Nathan checks the time and sighed. "I better get going. If anything happens or if you do fight the Cerberus Knight remember…work as a team. Don't lower your guard and give it all you've got, okay?"
The five Rangers all nod in response understanding the plan. After what happened last time and what happened to Lux they'll need to be careful. Nathan soon begins to leave as the Rangers are left alone in the room. All knowing they've got a big fight on their hand soon.
"So, what are the chances the Cerberus Knight will show up?" Rachel asked getting silence from the others. "Good, I'm not the only one who knows he will show up. So, we got a plan for him this time?"
Jake sighed as he looks at the map and knew this is not going to be easy. They not only have to defend the oil refinery, but they also have to protect the Wookies as well. He also knew if the Cerberus Ranger did show up they'll need to be careful when they fight him. Otherwise they'll be injured like Lux.
Jake then turns to the oil refinery and begins thinking of the possibilities of what would happen if the enemy did get through them. He then came up with an idea as he turns to Rick. "Hey Rick, didn't your dad used to know people who worked at oil refineries?"
"Yeah? Why?" Rick asked.
Endor
Meanwhile, Alpha is seen going over the new upgrades he is making to the Dino Zords. Zane warned Alpha that the Cerberus Ranger has other sorts of arsenals at his disposal if Damien's followers brought them here. If they did then they can't take any chances. Alpha didn't know what these weapons are, but if Zane asked him to upgrade the Zords then he has an idea what they are.
He hears some noises behind him and finds Lux walking into the command room with a cane. "Lux, you should be in bed resting. You're still injured."
"I'm fine," said Lux as he waved off his friend's concerns. "I also am tired of lying in bed doing nothing," this was a lie.
After getting injured his work was sent to his holopad so he can continue doing his job. Luckily it wasn't too much work and he wasn't needed for any meetings in the senate. It didn't mean though he wanted to do his work. There was so much going through his mind that he couldn't focus on it.
He couldn't do his work knowing his friends are off fighting without him. He felt useless. He wanted to be out there fighting by their side. As long as he is injured though that isn't going to happen.
"I know you want to be out there, Lux. Helping your friends and making sure they will be okay…" said Alpha who understood all too well what it is like not being able to help his friends. "But you need to understand that you are injured and if you try going out there like this you will only endanger your friends and yourself."
Lux sighed as he sits down on a nearby chair and held his cane. "I know. It's just…ever since my mom was murdered I've tried all I could to get stronger. So I can protect the people I care about and not be rescued so much. That's why during the Onderon rebellion I worked hard to do my part to free my planet. Even if I never fought before in my life I didn't care and I wanted to show I wasn't weak."
Lux knew that was easy though. Even when he tried to do his best to help he was getting heat from Saw. He didn't like him, but Stella didn't care and helped defend him. Even then Lux knew Saw was right at times about him. That's why he always tried to get better, to help his friends, and not be useless.
He turns to Alpha and sighed. "I take it though you've felt the same way?"
Alpha nods in response before he replied. "I wish I could be out there to help fight with you Ranger. I know I can thanks to Zane and what he equipped me with. However, I choose to stay to help Zane protect the Command Center. Knowing that everything Damien needs to get in here he can get from me."
Lux was not surprised to hear this. The information that Alpha has would make him useful for Damien if he ever finds out where they are at. Using Alpha to destroy everyone he cares about is the last thing he wants. He would never want to put them in any danger…just like he wouldn't want to put his friends in danger by going out to fight while injured.
Alpha approached his friend and continued to speak to him. "I know it is frustrating not being out there to fight, but it doesn't mean you can't help your friends. We can find other ways for you to help out from here…" it was then Alpha came up with an idea. "In fact, why don't I show you how everything works around here?"
Lux turns to Alpha surprised with his idea. "R-really? You would do that?"
Alpha nods in response. "Certainly. It's been a long time since I had anyone to teach on how things work around here. I also think this can also help you when you need to use the command center if Zane or I aren't around."
Lux was glad to hear that and nods. "I would appreciate it. Thank you, Alpha."
Kashyyyk
Nathan soon left the Rangers and begins heading to the island. As he heads towards the island he found the land has grown and there are more trees than there were before. He knew the Hunter must have done this somehow. He didn't care how he did it though since he knew he'll be prepared for whatever he is planning.
As he arrives on the island he begins walking around slowly. Looking out for his enemy using his helmet to help him detect for any sort of trap. Slowly he takes his time knowing that this monster wasn't given the name Hunter for nothing. If he is a hunter then he'll be bunting him down.
He stops when he quickly noticed a long thin wire near his foot. He stopped realizing if he took another step he would have set off this trap. So, he begins looking to where the wire is set to. He could just back away and throw something to trip it, but then the Hunter might predict this and have the trap set up in case he tries setting it off from a distance.
He was right. He found where the wire it connected to. Unseen sharp arrows set up around the trees behind and in front of him.
"I see you found my traps!" Nathan turns towards the path in front of him and saw the Hunter waiting for him on the other side. "Good. I would have been disappointed if you didn't find my traps."
Nathan checks to see if there is another trap over the wire. Once he saw it was clear he steps over the wire and stood in front of his enemy. "I thought you wanted to fight me. Not set traps to waste my time!"
"No, Green Ranger. I said I wanted to hunt you and that's what I am doing," said the Hunter as he took off into the jungle where Nathan lost sight at him. "This jungle reminds me of the ones from Earth. There I fought the Jungle Fury Rangers. A worthy group, but they couldn't defeat me. I didn't kill them though thanks to the Wild Force Rangers. But this time there will be no one to stand in my way to kill you."
"Good luck with that," said Nathan as he keeps an eye out for more traps before he begins following his enemy.
As he ran he stepped on something that felt like a device going off. He leaps out of way as drones emerged from the ground and opened fire. They begin chasing him as they continued to fire blaster shots at him. Nathan ran through the jungle where he set off another trap.
A large piece of log came crashing down and almost landed on Nathan. He leaps forward before it hit him and lifts it up. He swings the log and hits the drones destroying them. He then tosses the log away, which triggered another trap causing spikes to suddenly appear from the ground.
Nathan runs up a nearby tree, which also caused spikes to emerge from it. Nathan keeps running up from the tree as the spikes got closer to him. Nathan leaps out of the tree just as the Hunter opened fire and shot him in the shoulder. Nathan falls towards the ground, where there are spikes waiting for him.
He manages to grab a vine and swings across the ground towards a safe spot. He lands on the ground as he hears another shot being fired. He takes out his Dragon Dagger and deflects the attack before firing his own attack at where the shots were fired. The Hunter is seen leaping out of the tree he was hiding in just at the attack hit his hiding spot.
The Hunter landed on the ring, but Nathan ran over using the trees to avoid the ground and came down with his dagger. The Hunter sees the Green Ranger and blocks his weapon with his own. Nathan pushes him back and kicks him right in the chest sending him to the ground. The Hunter rolls over and swings his gun, but Nathan caught it and breaks it in half.
Nathan goes to stab him, but the Hunter caught the dagger and kicks the Green Ranger away before tossing his weapon away. Nathan kicks the Hunter in the gut knocking him back allowing the Green Ranger to kick up. Nathan rushes over and goes to punch him, but the Hunter sets off another trap.
Nathan's foot gets caught by a wire and lifts him off the ground. The Hunter summons a spear from his back and goes to stab the Green Ranger. Nathan caught the spear just before the tip could stab him. He then pulls him in close so he can punch him in the face. The Hunter staggers to the ground as Nathan uses the spear to cut himself free.
Nathan rushes over, but trips another trap. He looks up to see multiple arrows being shot at towards him. Nathan uses the spear to block the arrows and leaps up into a nearby tree. The Hunter pulls out a detonator and presses the button on it.
Nathan soon hears the bombs around the trees beginning to activate. Nathan leaps out of the tree as the explosion erupts. The force of the explosion knocks him away along with the Hunter. Nathan begins to slowly get up as he sees the Hunter getting up as well. Nathan gets into fighting position as he waits for his foe to make his foe.
The Hunter got up and summons a sword as he uses it to stand. "Well, I'll admit Green Ranger…you are far better than what Vampira told me. She claimed with how old you are and you wouldn't be much of a challenge."
"The strength of any warrior isn't determined through power. It is through experience and I've got plenty of it," said Nathan who knew he has been through a lot with and without his powers. "You can lay as much traps as you want, but I will defeat you."
The Hunter begins to laugh as he swings his weapon around. "Yes, yes…YES! This is what I've always wanted. A true warrior who can give me a great hunt and can give me a proper challenge. Come on now so I can take your head!"
Nathan sees his Dragon Dagger nearby and picks it up before gripping it tightly. "Sorry, you won't be taking anyone's head today. Instead, I'll take your head."
The Hunter laughed again before he stops swinging his weapon and tightened his grip on the handle of his sword. "Such threatening words, but let's see if you can back that up. I still have some surprises of my own ready for you, Green Ranger. And they will help me defeat you."
"What a coincidence…" Nathan begins to glow as his suit's armor appears to have been upgraded, the color turned darker shade of green and the helmet with silver trims appearing on the top. "Because I have a few surprises of my own."
Meanwhile
Jake watched from the other side of the beach as the explosion erupted. He was with Rick and a group of Wookies as they were setting into motion his plan. The others were off doing their part as well. To help cover more grounds as they hear the explosion nearby.
The explosion could be seen and heard by both armies. The Wookies, the Jedi, and the Power Rangers saw it all from their side. While the Droid army saw it from their side, but stood their ground since they weren't ordered to fight. At least, not yet.
Jake and Rick see the explosion. Both concerned for what is happening. "I should be there. Dad needs us."
Rick however knew there isn't much they can do. "If we go there the Droid army will attack. I'm sure your dad can handle it. He's a tough old man who I wouldn't want to go up against in a fight."
Jake knew his dad is tough and can handle his own. But he's still worried this might end up being a trap set by Damien. He knew the Warrior was different and appeared to be someone who wasn't evil. But he wasn't sure if the other monsters are the same.
"I guess I just want to make sure no one else gets hurt," said Jake not wanting to risk someone else getting injured when he could have done more.
"Unfortunately someone will get hurt…" the two Rangers turn towards the beach where they see the Warrior standing there. "And it will be one of us, Red Ranger."
The Wookies noticed the enemy and got their weapon. Jake however kept them back and motions for them to continue with the plan. The Wookies back away and went back to finish the job. All while the two Rangers confront the enemy.
"Okay, seriously. Is this guy your stalker or what?" Rick asked as he summons his weapon.
Jake summons his sword as he sees the Warrior has his out already. "I should have known you would come. Where is the Cerberus Ranger?"
"Not here…yet," said Warrior as he thrusts his sword down on the sand. "He will be here soon to make sure the oil refinery is destroyed. But before then I wish to fight you, Red Ranger."
"Why? So you can leave him exhausted for the Cerberus Ranger?" Rick asked. "Well, forget it. You want a fight then you fight us both."
Jake however moves his hand up to his friend to keep him back as he took a step forward. "You told me before you're different from the other monsters. That you weren't like them. I believe you and I can tell you don't want to do what Damien wants. Yet, didn't he make you?"
The Warrior closed his eyes and shook his head in response. "Nay. He did not make me. I was…it doesn't matter though. I only wish to…"
"Fight me," said Jake as he interrupted the Warrior. "I know that, but I want to know why. You said he didn't make you and yet you won't tell me why it doesn't matter. I'm sorry, but I won't fight you until you tell me the truth."
The Warrior grips his weapon tightly and sighed. "I…I cannot tell you, Red Ranger. I wish I could, but I am not allowed to tell you."
Jake figured whatever he wants to tell him must be because of Damien. Whatever he did to him is keeping the truth from being told.
"Fight me Red Ranger. Fight me now before…" suddenly they heard a loud explosion coming from nearby. "That didn't come from the island."
Rick begins getting a message from Alpha. "Rick, the Separatist have launched their attack. They are heading to the beach."
"Shit, we aren't finished with the defenses yet," said Rick as he turns to Jake. "It looks like it was all a trap. They lied to us."
Jake turns to the Warrior and held his sword. "Is this you're doing then?"
The Warrior lifts his sword and shook his head. "No and I know the Hunter didn't give the word to attack either…" he took out from behind him a small controller. "He gave this to me and told me this will send the message to the Droid army to attack."
"Wait. If they didn't send the army then…" it was then the two Rangers were attacked by two crimson blasts that knocked them to the ground.
The Warrior turns to the source of the attack and sees the Cerberus Ranger has arrived. "I gave the command."
Jake and Rick begin slowly getting up as the Warrior grips his weapon. "I thought the master told you to wait until sunrise."
"He decided this couldn't wait," said the Cerberus Ranger. "He also has ordered you to go back. I'll take over this mission. Now, go."
The Warrior didn't want to go as he turns to the Red Ranger. He then turns back to the Cerberus Ranger and gripped his weapon tightly. Out of anger and frustration, which the Cerberus Ranger took notice off. He turns away from him and then slashed his sword across the Warrior's chest knocking him down.
The Cerberus Ranger kicks the Warrior's weapon away and moves his blade near his neck. "I can sense your anger, your hatred, and your rage. A pity it is not directly towards the Power Rangers, but instead our master."
The Warrior didn't seem worried when he saw how close the weapon is to his neck. He just continue to glare angrily at the Cerberus Ranger.
"You are lucky the master still has use for you otherwise he would have me kill you," the Cerberus Ranger moves his sword away from the Warrior. "Now, leave before I…"
Rick grabs his weapon and opened fire hitting the Cerberus Ranger in the shoulder causing him to back away. Jake leaps over and brings his weapon down slashing the Cerberus Ranger across the chest knocking him away. Jake then turns to the Warrior, grabs his weapon, and returns it to him. And without saying a word Jake rushes over to attack the Cerberus Ranger.
The Warrior turns to the Red Ranger as he watches him fight the Cerberus Ranger. However, despite catching him off-guard the Cerberus Ranger recovered and blocks Jake's attacks before slashing him with his sword. The Warrior gets up and prepares himself to attack the Cerberus Ranger, but Rick stopped him.
"We've got this," said Rick as he opens fire at the Cerberus Ranger causing Jake to counter attack. "Jake seems to trust you. I don't, especially how you refuse to tell us the truth. So, I suggest next time you tell us everything or you won't get your one-on-one fight."
Rick soon took off to join Jake, while the Warrior gets up and sighed. He knew the Blue Ranger is right. He owes the Red Ranger the truth. He will tell him next time…if he makes it through this fight.
Jake regroups with Rick as the Cerberus Ranger turns his attention to the Rangers. "The two of you cannot defeat me. Accept your death."
"Not gonna happen," said Jake as he got into a fighting stance with Rick. "This time we're ready for you. We know the power you have was made by Damien and Zane."
"So, the coward himself has told you the truth," said the Cerberus Ranger as twirls his weapon. "It doesn't matter what he told you. The fact is even when all six of you worked together you couldn't defeat me. Not even the Green Ranger will be able to stop me. I will destroy you all and…"
He turns around and deflects the arrow shots from the Pink Ranger. "Shit, that didn't work," said Rachel as she joined the others with Ahsoka and Barriss. "Sorry guys. I thought we could hit him while his attention was turned to you guys."
"It's okay. It was worth a try," said Rick as the five Rangers get their weapons. "Still, this time we can take him and we'll win."
"As much as I like the idea of cutting you all down one by one like I did to the Black Ranger, I'm afraid I am press for time. My master wants to destroy you and your Wookie friends so…" the Cerberus Ranger moves his sword up to the sky as it begins to glow. "I call upon the Cerberus Zord!"
The sword unleashes a bright red light into the sky. On Rhen Var the light hits the snowy mountain where three loud howls can be heard. Soon something bursts through the mountain and heads towards the planet of Kashyyyk. It isn't long as whatever came from Rhen Var arrived to the planet.
It was a large ruby red with dark stripes three-headed canine. It was the same size as the Tigerzord, but appeared bulkier. The three heads all lifted their heads and let out a loud howl. All while their eyes begin to glow.
"Power Rangers, prepare to meet your end!" said the Cerberus Ranger as he begins laughing evilly.
That's the end of the chapter and it looks like the Power Rangers are in for another fight against the Cerberus Ranger and his Cerberus Zord. Will they be able to stop them this time together? Will they be able to save Kashyyyk or will they fail? Or will the Cerberus Ranger and his Zord be too much for them?
I bet many are wondering why the Green Ranger didn't use this power boost before huh? All will be explained next time. Next time we'll see how the fight for Kashyyyk will go. So, tune in then to find out how this arc will go.
