-blaaah lol I really don't know what to put here today lol-

After school Bubbles decided to go for a walk around the school area before she drove home for the evening. She still had Brick on her mind and couldn't really get him out of there. She remembered that his newest painting was nearby and thought maybe looking at the art would maybe bring her closer to figuring out the artist.

She got really close to it until a group of kids caught her attention.

"Miss! Miss! Please help us!" A little boy with chocolate brown hair came running over with a little light brown haired girl. Bubbles was a very kind person, so these children instantly became her first priority.

"What's wrong guys?" Bubbles asked, crouching down to their level.

"Our kitten climbed up the tree over there!" The little girl was pointing in the direction of the tree.

"Take me to it!" Bubbles nods and the little boy grabbed her hand and led her there. Bubbles looked up the tree to see a little black kitten meowing from the middle of the top of the tree.

"Come here baby..." Bubbles tried to coax the small kitten out of the tree but the little guy wouldn't budge.

"What's his name?" Bubbles asked the kids.

"Midnight! He's new! He doesn't know his name yet... I accidentally let him out and he climbed up there..." The little boy frowns, looking at the tree with worry.

"It's not your fault... I'm glad you didn't try to climb up and grab him yourself, but it looks like I have to unfortunately..." Bubbles looked up the tree nervously, she hasn't done this in years and she was also in a skirt...

She thought to hell with it and made her way to climb up and a retrieve the frightened kitten. She had to run up and jump to get a hold of the nearest branch to her. She, after three attempts, finally grabbed it and started to hoist herself up. She already felt nervous, but motivated by the need to save that poor little baby in the tree. She finally stood up on the branch and her breath starts to shake, she never really was a fan of heights. Steadying herself, she starts to climb up towards the kitten and tried not to focus on the face that she was now 25 feet off the ground.

She finally got close to the kitten and tried to grab a hold of him. Out of fear, he hissed and swatted at at her a little bit. Bubbles couldn't grab him like this... She needed to wrap him in something to calm him... She took off her sweater and shivers a little, she should have worn a t-shirt instead of the spaghetti strap crop top she currently sported right now. She covered her hands in the sweater and quickly draped it over the kitten, wrapping him up in it securely. She sat for a sec steady herself, the kitten was meowing and squirming in her arms under the sweater.

Bubbles took the time to calm him down, petting him and stroking him. She held him closer and uncovered his face, he stopped freaking out and looked into her eyes. "Hi little baby..." Bubbles smiles at him and the kitten looked around curiously now. Bubbles took this opportunity to look for a way down that wouldn't hurt her or the small fragile little ball of floof in her arms.

She became nervous again, because getting down with both arms was already difficult and now she had only one arm. She built up the courage and started to make her way down. She tried to focus instead of letting the fear take over, she was doing really well until one of the branches broke under her foot and caused her to lose balance and hang there with only one arm. The children were now freaking out and panicking, Bubbles tried to remain calm... Well as calm as she could possibly be in her situation right now. She knew that if she fell from this height she could easily break a bone.

Bubbles unintentionally let her grip go as she thought that and let out a startled scream. The kids were now shouting under the tree, panicking even more about the possibility of both getting hurt. "Sir! Sir!" The little girl was screaming and Bubbles' arm was getting tired. Bubbles tried hold herself up but her arm gave out and with a scream she fell, but like out of a movie, someone caught her just in time. The arms felt very strong easily held her.

Bubbles took a minute to regain her equilibrium, she was shaken up. She quickly checked the kitten. Thank God he was okay... Thank God she was okay... But who the hell caught her?

"Hi..." Bubbles instantly blushed, oh lord that voice! Bubbles head turned in the direction of her rescuer and low and behold, she was starting into red eyes for the third time today. Her eyes widened and she was instantly flustered.

"Um... Hi..." Bubbles blushed, she was relieved that he caught her, but God damn was this making her anxiety trip... She could practically smell him... He again smelled unique, like wet dewdrop and a chilly rainy morning... Like crisp November air...

"People who play the hero should be a little bit better with their coordination... Don't you think so darling?..." Brick says, putting her down finally.

"The kitten... I was trying to get him down..." Bubbles said shyly and hands the kitten to the little boy who took him into his arms.

"I was on my way to continue work on my painting until I heard a bunch of screams in the distance... I thought I'd check out the commotion and what do you know, I'm saving your ass for the second time today..." Brick's smirk was back, but it was in full view this time.

"I um really appreciate you saving me... Again..." Bubbles was still flustered, Brick's playful gaze returns and he lightly pushed a few strands of hair out of her face. His hands, regardless of how hard they worked were soft and gentle.

"No problem..." Brick tilts he head, his expression was neutral.

"Thank you Sir and Miss!" The kids told them, hugging Bubbles' legs before running home. Bubbles was still looking at Brick in almost disbelief... This was a coincidence right? There was no way this happened just out of luck? Was this guy psychic or something? (AN- Nope it's all just plot line my dear! :P But we're not gonna let her know that ;) right?)

"It was nice of you to drop in... I gotta go..." Brick poked her nose again and turned to walk away.

"Wait!" Bubbles didn't know why she didn't want him to leave. Brick turned to look over his shoulder, raising a brow at the blond.

"Yes?" He asked in his usual monotone.

"That's it you're just gonna leave?" Bubbles blushed, he was just gonna leave like that

. "I've gotta check on my painting... You can tag along... I don't care..." Brick shrugs and continues walking, Bubbles automatically begins following him.

When they almost reach their destination, Brick rolls his eyes. "Of course..." Brick sighs, Bubbles looks at what he was talking about and instantly frowns.

There was bright yellow paint splattered across the entire wall that Brick chose as his canvas. "How disrespectful..." Bubbles frowned even more, why did people do that to his art like this.

"It happens more often than you think..." Brick chuckles dryly and goes into his backpack and pulled out a small bucket and two beat up scrub brushes. Brick automatically goes to the spout for the hose on the building and fills the bucket with water. She watched as he then started to scrub the paint off the wall.

Bubbles looked at the second scrub brush and picked it up, starting to help him scrub the paint off. Brick noticed and cocked a brow in question.

"You don't need to do that..." Brick says in that monotone again. Bubbles then felt herself smile playfully, remembering what he said to her this morning when she asked him why he was walking with her.

"Yeah but whoever said that I couldn't?..." Bubbles reiterated and noticed a tiny little smile appear on his features.

"Point taken... Baby blue..." Brick says and Bubbles looked at him in confusion.

"Baby blue?" Bubbles questions and Brick smirks again.

"Your eyes match your sweater... The colour is baby blue... It's a very odd but inspiring eye colour..." Brick continues scrubbing the wall, watching the paint starting to break down and reveal the original piece underneath. Bubbles blushed, did he just subtly complement her? Then she realized that he said her eye colour was odd, how ironic for him.

"My eyes are odd? Haven't you seen yours?" Bubbles lets out a shy giggle.

"Yes I'm aware of my eye colour..." Brick chuckles, Bubbles bites her lip to surpess a smile. Brick was actually really fun to talk to, she wondered why she hasn't actually tried to until today.

"I think your eyes are really unique, but they're still very nice..." Bubbles said trying to scrub the paint off harder. "Nice huh?..." Brick says looking in her direction, there was another intense stare that left her almost breathless. Brick could just capture her in seconds with a simple look, it was almost freaky how he could almost control her with his gaze.

"You're the first person to keep eye contact with me..." Brick says and that caught her by surprise.

"Why is that?" Bubbles asked him curiously.

"People say my eyes unnerve them, like I can pick them apart with my stare... You obviously have nothing to hide..." Brick's smirk returns.

"Hiding in the dark can make you afraid of the light..." Bubbles didn't know where the hell those words came from. Brick looked caught off guard for a second...

"That's something I've never heard before... Insightful..." Brick says and Bubbles nods. T

hey then grow silent, just almost enjoying each other's company while they scrubbed away. When the painting was finally revealed, Bubbles saw it was a single black and white flower in a field. The painting was almost relaxing to look at.

"Your work is very beautiful..." Bubbles says and Brick nods. "Thanks... I just wish people would leave it alone..." Brick sighs, dumping the water out off the bucket and drying it, putting it back in his bag.

"Can I watch you paint when you come here from now on?" Bubbles asked and Brick hums in acknowledgement.

"Sure... If it doesn't bore you..." Brick chuckles again.

"I'm sure it won't..." Bubbles says and Brick lets another smile reach the surface.

"If you say so..." Brick jokes in his usual monotone.

"I know so..." Bubbles smiles and sits to watch him...

-Their dynamic is so darn different! But cute!-
