-Hey guys :) I got the urge to do a chapter for this one :)-

Bubbles sat there watching him paint for the past 3 hrs, she never took her eyes away. He was using different shades of black and grey to paint soft blades of grass, Bubbles had never seen someone put so much detail into a piece of work. Brick turned to her, she noticed that he had small specks of paint on his face and to her that looked kinda cute. "Shit... I'm surprised that you're still watching me... With how quiet you've been, I thought you left already..." He said raising a brow. "No... I'd never just leave like that..." Bubbles' blush was already back, "I was quiet because watching you work is very mesmerizing... You paint so sure and confidently..." Bubbles began to fiddle with her skirt.

"Sure yes... But confident certainly is a choice word... If you knew me well, that's the last thing you'd want to describe me as Blue..." Brick chuckles and began to work again. "You love art, there's definitely evidence of that..." Bubbles didn't know why she wanted to say that. "The reason I look that way to you is because I've been painting for 9 years... I just know what I'm doing..." He looked focused. "I know what it's like to have no confidence, my friend Buttercup trys to bring it out of me... I just can't..." Bubbles frowns now. Brick stops painting and turned to her again, he looked like he was contemplating something.

"That's... Unfortunately not hard to see... I can tell..." He frowns. Bubbles sighs, "I've never really had the stuff to pull that off... I am good at some stuff... It's just that very few people know... Since I've been watching you in your artistic element, I'll tell you mine... I play piano..." Bubbles says, that revelation was something she didn't share with many. Brick looked surprised for a second, "That I would have never guessed... That's interesting..." He nods, putting down his paint to take a break. "I don't know if I'm that good, I've never shown anyone..." Bubbles gives him a half-hearted smile.

"You definitely intrigue me... You're so different from the other girls at the school... They try to get noticed, but like myself you keep yourself as inconspicuous as the eye can see... That's why I'm talking to you..." He smirks again and Bubbles heart slams in her chest. "I've never been one for the spotlight..." Bubbles said, she never really liked being that way. Both are thrown out of their conversation by a rumbling of thunder.

"That's just great... I forgot to check the weather, now I gotta walk home in this..." Brick says with an annoyed sigh. "Would you like me to drive you?" Bubbles asked timidly. "Are you sure? I'm pretty far from here..." Brick looked skeptical. "I wouldn't make someone walk home in a thunderstorm..." Bubbles insisted. "I guess it couldn't harm anything..." Brick shrugged, getting his stuff as Bubbles got up and walked where her car was. She stopped to get Brick, who dove in just as the downpour started. "Thanks for offering to do this Blue... It's pissin rain out there... I'm sure i would gotten soaked..." He had an appreciative glint in his eye, even if his expression was neutral.

"Of course! Where is your adress?" Bubbles had a shy smile. "567 Avery St. it's by the pizza shop..." Brick says lowly and sinks into the carseat. Bubbles nods, she knew where he was talking about, and started driving in that direction. He was silent, but he never took his eyes from her. Her grip on the wheel tightened, him staring at her was almost too distracting. ""Umm... Ye-... I-... Uh..." Bubbles tried starting conversation but horribly failed. Brick raised a brow, "I don't bite blue... That kitten you rescued earlier is far feistier than myself..." He chuckles. "Umm... Ye-yeah... You're right..." Bubbles said in embarrassment.

"Why are you so shy?" Brick asked and caught her off guard. "I don't really know..." She blushed tenfold. "I'm just curious..." Brick sighed, they still had quite a bit of a drive. "I could say the same thing..." Bubbles mumbled under her breath. "Hmm?" Brick questions, Bubbles stiffened, because he might have heard her. "Nothing!" Bubbles squeaked and he looked at her with a "What the hell was that" look.

They were silent for the rest of the ride until Brick spoke up. "Drop me off here, i can walk the rest of the way..." They were near the pizza shop like he said. "Okay..." Bubbles said before pulling over, the rain let up a bit. "Thanks again Blue, I'll see you around..." He said opening the the door. "See you soon..." Bubbles shyly looked away. "Yeah..." He said in a teasing way before getting out and shutting the car door.

Bubbles sat there for a few minutes just watching him walk, before starting the car again and turning around to head home. When she got in the door she was in almost a trance like before, what threw her out of her head was her cat circling around her legs. "Hey Zepher you lil trouble maker..." She smiled and picked him up in her arms. She pull out her cellphone and saw a message from her mom.

-Hey sweetie, your father and I can't make it to thanksgiving this year because the hospital is so busy! We'll call you soon! Love mom...

She sighed, they live 2 cities away and paid for the home Bubbles lived in to let her go to school. Unfortunately for her, they were constantly busy and didn't see her a lot of the time. She spent last Christmas and this easter by herself, making dinner for herself. They just started sending her card with mony in it for a gift, that felt kinda lonely...

"Come on Zephie... Time for practice... I need me time..." Bubbles smiled half-heartedly and carried him to the piano in the living room. When she put him down on it, he circled around until he flopped down and got comfortable. She played when she needed to clear her thoughts, it was the last thing her parents did with her before they moved away when she turned 14. They used to have her in recitals and were proud of her, now they were proud of their work.

She brought her fingers to the keys and played the song that usually helped her relax, Yiruma- The River Flows In You. It's one that she played for a crowd before, but now her only audience was herself. She put all her emotions into her fingers and closed her eyes. After a short while, Brick's eyes popped into her head and threw her completely off. She wondered what he was doing right now, what his life's story was. He seemed like a really complicated person to get to know, like he had a guard up by not showing emotions like everyone else. He kept to himself, just like he said today...

She started to play again, trying to distract her now nerve filled mind, but her efforts were all short lived. She was so distracted that she jumped when her phone went off, an echo of mismatched keys bellowed through the living room. She gathered her equilibrium, looking at the caller ID. It was Buttercup, Bubbles' mood brightens. She answered, she will never ignore her friends calls.

"Hey Buttercup... What's up?" Bubbles smiled. "Yo Bubs! I have a huge proposition for you!" Buttercup said, her voice was full of mischief. "What?" Bubbles raised a brow in question. "There is a huge party tomorrow, you know because Saturday! And I was wondering if you would finally come to one with me!?" Buttercup pleads. Bubbles let's out a groan of discontent. "Buttercup... I don't do well at parties and I'm not in the mood for it... I just found out my parents are skipping thanksgiving..." Bubbles said sadly. "Oh that sucks to hear, they need to see you more... But i think this'll be good for you, I really do... It's better than being alone all the time in your house... And if it helps I got Bloss on board..." Buttercup wasn't budging.

Bubbles gave it some thought, she really did spend a lot of her time alone and did need to go out and at least Blossom was going. "I guess it couldn't hurt then..." Bubbles admitted reluctantly. "Awesome! By the way I'm heading over there with some Chinese and we're going to watch My 600 lb life as well as horders and laugh tonight! We're having a sleep over and I'm cheering your little ass up!" Buttercup said and Bubbles giggles. "Okay Buttercup... That sounds awesome I'll see you in a few I guess..." Bubbles hung up, she was thankful for her friends and their lengths to keep her happy.

The party made her nervous though, because she's never been to one and heard that they could get crazy really quickly. She hoped she got out of there alive by the end of the night without a scratch. She didn't even drink alcohol, let alone partied. But if Buttercup thought she could have fun then she'd trust her friend's judgment and suck it up for one night. Maybe her going this once would keep Buttercup from asking again.

She got up and walked to the couch and sat down to wait for Buttercup to get there.

-So sad /-
