The Prologue: What Is The Multiverse?

A journey often begins with a question, whether it was asked or never thought to consider. It sparks a story, a quest to find the answer. When the answer is exposed, another question arises: what to do with the answer. But this story that is starting to unfold is similar but vastly interesting. A few things I should mention is that the story is uncanny, not like most typical stories. But first, I should teach an essential lesson to make sense of this story. Any questions you will gain, forget about them because the answers are something you will not understand. This lesson I am about to tell will change your perspective of what is possible. Never mind logic or facts that root out outcomes. Instead, try to see for what is and never for the reasons of the results. Be open to everything you hear, no matter how insane or unbelievable it is; Because you are about to witness a lesson of possibility and chance. The question of what is possible begins to change into what is there to discover?

The search for discovery will not help you understand what I have to say. Not even I know half of the spectrum of it. What you will find is beyond your imagination, for the waves are always creating a new ocean. That ocean, ladies and gentlemen, is the Multiverse.

The Multiverse and its appearance are similar to a tree, almost coincidental. The tree begins with the seed, the beginning of time. Once the plant has unleashed its root, it is ready to grow its path. As the tree matures, bring branches that stick out from the trunk. The trunk is the original timeline, the prime universe; The Branches are alternate universes, when one simple change was made to the prime universe, continuing off from that path. Finally, the tree decays once it has finished growing its branches and sticks. That is where the difference strikes: The Multiverse never dies, for it never reaches its limit nor end.

Limitless and Endless, best to remember these words.

The Multiverse can show how powerful one change can rewrite an entire story. The heroes you grow in love with can be someone you hate; The bullies that tormented you can be your best friend; The weak, thought to be worthless, can be more valuable than any hero. Unbelievable, but the Multiverse is never about what is possible, but what is there to find. Always be surprised, and remind yourself what you never thought of happening can happen in another universe.

One example I will be using is one that gained my interest. I call it My Hero Academia. This Dimension houses many types of people with unique power, also known as quirks. With the rise of this new genetic came an upsurge of crimes and vigilantes. As a consequence, new rules were necessary to halt unwanted results. The new rules were to forbid the use of quirks unless warranted or an act of self-defense. To be given the right to use a quirk must undergo special training. It was an opportunity for people with it to be who they were to be: a hero.

As time passed, one thing became noticeable in their new society. There were three types of people: the hero, the villain, and the quirkless.

A nobleman, who became the number one hero in Japan, closely represents the definition to be a hero. His quirk helps him fight for the cause, smiling at whatever obstacles he faces, restoring the peace by his presence alone. Without his good intentions, without his quirk, there would be no symbol of peace. His goal, like many heroes, is to save as many lives as possible. Although, as great as the writing on paper says about heroes, not all heroes can be a hero to everyone, even to lives in need of a hero the most. As great as the Symbol of Peace is, not even he is immune to betraying his goals.

Then, there is the weak, the Quirkless. Limited to their five senses, never given the gift of a quirk, left to defend themselves. One important boy with green hair, freckles upon his face, and mesmerizing green eyes is quirkless. As a consequence, he was betrayed, forgotten, and abandoned by all except his mother. His teachers discriminated against him. His friends had become his bullies. But, what broke him the most was his loving father abandoning him at a young age. Because of his quirkless statues, He was considered useless and a helpless ant in society. His chances to become something more was no more; However, chance is never certain of the outcome. No matter the situation.

Finally, the villains with quirks leave a lasting impression. Their powers are often considered villainous by their peers since their quirks can do more harm than good. A young girl, abandoned by her parents, had blond and messy hair with two buns behind her hair and golden eyes, pale skin, and sharp fangs for her quirk to drink blood. Blood lust, hunger, and a change in personality, all because of her genetic. Everyone that knew her became afraid of her. Her parents had to restrict her from using her quirk to make her look normal. However, it only further her drive to insanity. Her quirk changed her destiny to become a villain.

The hero, the villain, and the quirkless were given their roles by the universe. But, in some worlds, the paths they had can change in an instant.

The quirkless boy dreamed of becoming a hero but needed to know if a quirkless child could become a hero. Who was better to answer his question, All-Might, of course. When he managed to find his hero, the answer he found was not what he was hoping for. Left alone, he walked aimlessly and utterly hopeless. Soon he found himself in a crowd watching heroes stand and watch an angry boy suffocate. Without thinking, the quirkless boy ran and saved the angry boy from dying. All-Might saw the quirkless boy and his heroics, so All-Might gave him a gift, a quirk.

But, In another time and place, the quirkless boy took a different turn, away from the danger.

In one universe, he walked away from the eyes of society. More tempted at the idea of a shift death, he was atop of a building. He prayed and hoped for a quirk in his next life; However, he found something better than a genetic advantage. Instead, he found a girl with a villainous quirk and gave him a new dream. She led him to become something else than a hero, but it saved him. In the end, an unlikely person helped him, a villain.

The hero becomes the victim, the victim becomes the villain, and the villain becomes the hero. All it takes is a different turn.

As I have said, this short lesson is essential to know how this half-written story is about to spark a new hero, better than any hero, a legend in the making.

There is also another reason why I choose My Hero Academia. A few months ago, I picked up an abundance of energy sparkling across one universe I was keeping an eye on for reasons I will not reveal. This energy spike managed to not only cross a new universe but an entirely new dimension. Jumping across The Multiverse is easy, simply because it is all connected to one root, like neighbors in the same city. However, a new dimension is another story. It is as if you are trying to cross the border to another country. Only a few special people I have come to know are the only ones that can do that. I would call them and ask them to help me cross the border, but we all just won a war for all of life. They deserve to rest; And, I do not think an anomaly who created a new branch is enough to disturb their problems, especially when its intentions are unknown.

So far, the anomaly has remained hidden, not any signs of energy signatures or spikes that revealed its location, making my job difficult. I could browse The Multiverse, but when millions of lives create billions of options, thus creating an infinite amount of branches, you can see why finding the target is beyond difficult than it looks. Not to mention when I find which universe the anomaly is living in, it could be surviving on any city, any country, and any planet. And that is only assuming it is not cruising around space. Space travel is tricky, and the only thing guiding me is myself.

The anomaly managed to do the impossible, so it gained my interest. If it is an object, it is better to confiscate it and study its purpose and origin. However, if it is a person, I have an offer that I believe the individual would be curious to accept. Whatever happens next, the anomaly created a whole new universe.

As I said before, all it takes is a different turn, off course. But, it needs a beginning and an end. It all began with the anomaly; And how it ends, I am not too sure.

This is my first time writing for something online. Not sure what to expect or learn, but I am glad to do something with my writing. So, I think I should start off with how I plan to keep up with my first fanfiction. This prologue you read is short, all other chapters are going to be long. Not sure how long they will actual be, all I know I want them to be more than 3,000 words. I hope that is enough. How long will it take me to update my work? Hmm...Maybe three months. It's hard to tell right now, considering that I have responsibility and other issues I have to deal with.

My goals and reasons for why I wanted to create a fanfiction? Okay, I want to improve my writing. Later in the future, I want to be an author and become a journalist. I can't improve without someone to give me advice or help me understand what my writing is lacking in. The main reason why I wanted to publish fanfiction, is simply that, writing stories. I believe writing or telling stories is the best thing anyone can do. Stories are motivators, reasons, and full of lessons that can inspire others to do great things.

I'm not sure what to expect, but I hope I gain something from writing to anyone that reads this.

Until next month, we will start with the first question for my first chapter.
