Chapter 71 is here guys and I hope everyone is ready for the new chapter. So glad to be working on this again since I was busy during the holidays. I apologize guys, but I am happy to be back working on my stories. All before I go back to taking my classes.
Still, I hope everyone is ready for the chapter. The fight for Almora has finally begun. Our heroes will now face off against Damien and his army. Will our heroes succeed in stopping Damien? Or will Damien be too much for our heroes, especially now that he has his full powers back?

Fight for Almora Part I
Almora
Alarms can be heard going off all around the city as the people are seen running to get to shelters. The people of Almora though didn't panic or pushed against one another. They were calm and got to the shelters without a fight. All while they were being protected by the Almorian security force that were sent out to protect the people from the invading army.
That army is Damien's robot army and ships that began attacking the city.
Once the machines that kept Damien from teleporting into their world the portals began opening. Three opened up at first, but soon seven more opened and out came Damien's army. Large dark ships that were the size of a Republic Starship. With dropships flying down to release the robot army. The army emerged and began attacking the people, while fighting against the security force.
Almora's military began scrambling to send their forces to engage the enemy, but there was a problem. Their communications were down so they couldn't contact their forces to coordinate their defenses and counter-attacks. This prevented them from contacting their ships in orbit, which left them with the ships they have on the ground. Even then the ships were taking too long to take off since something infected their systems.
So, this left with the Almorian security force and the small army that stayed behind on the ground to fight against the robot army.
All while the people ran for cover and hope their army will stop the enemy. One of the people was a mother holding her daughter. She ran with a group of people as they head for one of the nearby shelters. However, one of the robots leaped over and jumps in front of her.
The robot takes a step forward causing the woman to take a step back and fall to the ground. The robot goes to attack the woman and her crying daughter, but is stopped by the Red Ranger. The Red Ranger pushes the robot back and blasts its head off with his blaster. He then turns to the other approaching robots and takes them down with his blaster.
Once they are gone he turns to the woman and extends his hand to her. She hesitates at first, but soon took his hand as he helps her up.
"Thank you," she replied as her daughter stopped crying and thanks the Red Ranger.
"Your welcome. Now, get to safety please," said Jake as he sees the woman take off with his daughter who waves goodbye at him. "And please be safe," he said as more robots begin emerging. "You guys weren't invited to the party. I'm going to ask you all to leave now."
The robots continue to grow in number as they charge at Jake. Jake shrugs this off and soon moves his hand to his chest before he charges at the enemy. He soon transforms into his Battlizer form and has his Power Sword glow. He uses his wings to help him accelerate and slash through all the robots taking them all down.
Once he took them all down he looks behind and sees them exploding. "Okay, about 30 down and…" he looks up to see the ships releasing more of the dropships. "About a thousand more to go."
Jake knew this is going to take long for him to take down these robots until he hears a familiar sound coming nearby. He looks up see what appears to be several Starfighters heading his way. Jake was about to take off when the White Falcon Zord flew by and blasted the fighters out from the sky. Jake looks over and sees Ahsoka leaping off a nearby building and lands near him.
"You okay?" Ahsoka asked already in her White Ranger form.
"No," Jake replied as he looks around to see his city under attack again. "I hate seeing this happen to my home and we need to end this soon before it gets destroyed."
"I agree," Ahsoka replied as she turns around. "That's why Zane told me to tell you not to hold back."
Jake looks behind him and sees the White Tigerzord along with his Tyrannosaurus Rex Zord standing there. Jake smiled from under his suit and turns to Ahsoka.
"I guess we should go all out. Are the others doing the same too?" Jake asked as he sees the Pterodactyl Zord flying by them and opening fire on more of the Starfighters. "Guess that answers my question. Okay, I'll join the others to make sure the city is safe. Meanwhile, go find Obi Wan and get ready to bring Padme out once we find Anakin."
Ahsoka nods in response. "I was just on my way to go to the palace. Just wanted to make sure you got this first and also…" she leans over and gives him a big hug. "Tell you to be safe and don't do anything crazy."
Jake returns the hug and nods. "I know and please be careful too. I want us all to make it out of this without dying."
"Deal," said Ahsoka as she took off on her Tigerzord to find Obi Wan who she knew is probably regrouping with the Jedi.
Jake meanwhile sees the Mastodon, Saber-Tooth Tiger, and Triceratops arriving to his location with his friends in the cockpit of their Zords.
"Guys. Status update. What do we got?" Jake asked as he heads to his Zord.
"So far the security force and royal guards are holding the robots back," said Rick as he gives the first of the updates. "Communications are still down, but hopefully whatever you and Sarah worked on will be ready soon?"
"It will," said Jake knowing his friend won't let them down. "How about the citizens? Have they been evacuated?"
"So far yes," said Rachel as she contacted her brother while fighting in the sky. "The shields on the buildings have also been activated. Looks like they are still working."
"But why are the communications down? If this was a sabotage then why aren't all the defenses down?" Lux asked who like the others believe this was an inside job.
"Maybe he didn't want to leave our home completely defenceless," said Jake knowing who is behind all of this. "Barriss, did the Jedi get the senators and our family back to the palace?"
"They did, but…" Barriss sighed before she tells the others what else happened. "The ship carrying the Clones was destroyed. They're gone."
Jake closed his eyes and feels his hands balling up in a fist in anger. He wonders if Ahsoka knows about this. She must have if Barriss knows about this before the others. He just hope she'll be okay.
"Then let's make these assholes pay for what they did," said Jake as he turns to the city. "Okay. Dad said he is on his way to the palace. Obi Wan will be there and so will Ahsoka. Zane is around here somewhere so our job is to beat this army until Damien shows his cowardly face."
"Then let's make some noise," said Rick as he has his Zord begin charging at a nearby tanks that began shooting at them. "Let's kick these assholes off our world!"
"You said it!" said Rachel as she flew beside the Falcon Zord and began opening fire on the enemy ships.
Jake sees his friends taking off as he turns to his Zord. "You ready to fight then buddy?" he asked as his Zord lets out a loud roar indicating it is ready to fight. "Just wanted to be sure. Let's go kick these assholes off our world and save everyone," Jake leaps up to his Zord and enters the cockpit as they go to join the others.
Meanwhile
In the palace the king is seen wearing his battle uniform as his royal guards help get the citizens inside. There were people that weren't close to any shelters so the king told them to come to the palace for safety. The energy shield activated and he got word the shields began activating around the city. Protecting the citizens and keeping them safe from harm.
Once they got the people inside the king has them be taken to the shelters they have in the palace. All while the king got ready for combat along with the old guard who once served him. They retired long ago, but have returned to fight alongside the king. All wearing their old uniforms and weapons.
"Alexis, where is your brother?" Ronin asked as he looks around to notice his son along with some of his guards are missing.
"They took off to find out what is going on with our defenses," said Alexis recalling what her brother told them. "The Jedi also left to fight against the enemy. I gave our soldiers orders to fight alongside with the Jedi and make sure not to kill them."
King Ronin nods as he turns to his daughter who is with the other senators. "Please, escort our guests to safety. Make sure they are all safe and if you see your brother tell him I want him here to fight."
Alexis nods as she turns to the others. "Follow me. And let's be quick."
The others begin following her. As they head to safety Padme walks beside Alexis who is holding her daughter in her arms.
"If they do find a way in. I assume the backup plan you came up with is ready?" Padme whispered.
Alexis nods in response. "It is. Don't worry. Let's just make sure everyone gets to safety first before anything happens…" suddenly the palace began to shake as the alarm began going off. "Oh that's not good."
"What's going on?" Riyo Chuchi asked wondering what else is happening.
"That alarm is letting us know the shield is failing. But that's impossible since it can withstand a bombardment," unless what she suspected is true, which if it is then that explains why the shield is down. "Everyone, run like your life depends on it. In this case, it does!"
Alexis begins leading the senators down towards the safe room. They managed to arrive to the room as they look out the windows to see the shield is indeed disappearing. Something caused the shield to go down and Alexis knows it couldn't have been from the outside. It was from the inside.
"Alexis!" Bail called out from behind his friend. "Once we get to safety what then? We just wait in there until the fighting ends?"
"That's all we can do for now," said Alexis who hates doing nothing while the fighting goes on.
"It isn't like we can do much at all anyways," said Mon Mothma. "We need to leave this to those who have been training for these sort of situations."
Alexis knew Mothma is right. Sure, Bail and her know how to fight, but they don't have the sort of weapons or equipment the royal guards have. If they did tried to fight they would only get in the way. For now they need to get to safety and then…oh shit!
"The door is closing!" Padme shouted noticing the blast door is closing down on the entrance to the safety room.
"Not yet it isn't!" Alexis hands Numa to Padme and begins running off faster than the others.
She grabs a nearby solid pillar and despite how heavy it is she used the adrenaline rush to help her lift it up. She got to the door and places the pillar to keep it halfway open. But not for long as she sees it cracking. Another a minute before it breaks completely.
"Run faster you lazy sloths!" she shouted getting the others to pick up the pace.
Once they arrived Riyo Chuchi was first to go under the door to the other side. Next is Mon Mothma and before Bail Organa could go under the windows got shattered. The robots got inside and found their targets. Alexis took out her two blasters that were attached on her legs thanks to the holsters she kept under her dress.
She gets a look from Bail, Padme, and Numa before shrugging off her shoulders. "Never go anywhere without protection."
She got up and begins opening fire at the robots. Going for their heads as she managed to shoot some down. Two charged at her, but Alexis charged at them too. She jumps to the wall, pushes off, and kicks one of them through the door into the next room. One grabs her arm, but she flips over and then trips the robot.
She then held its arm and then opened fire at its head. One robot goes to swing at her head, but she ducks and hits the robot with the back end of her blaster. She then opens fire taking it down before the last one charges at her. It kicks her blaster away, but Alexis ducks its punch. She
She grabs a vase and smashes it in the face of the robot before leaping away to pull out two gloves from under her top. She puts them on just as the robot charged at her. It grabs her by the neck and prepares to choke her out. Until Alexis grabs its head and soon volts of electricity begin going into its head before destroying it.
Alexis landed on her feet before she begins walking back to the others. Padme, Bail, and Numa rush over to her with Numa hugging her mother.
"T-that was amazing," said Padme who never saw Alexis fight like that before…in fact she never saw her fight before.
"I'm not just a pretty face," said Alexis before turning to Bail. "You didn't want in on the fight?"
"I would, but I knew you had it under control," said Bail who knew yes he could still fight, but damn not like what Alexis just did.
Their victory was short-lived though as the pillar began cracking even more. Alexis kicks Bail in the chest and sends him sliding across the floor to the room on the other side just before the door closed. They rush over to the door to see if they can manually open it.
"Bail! This might take a while," said Alexis as she tries using her gloves to shock the door open. "Get to the safe room. Put in the codes: 12312018 and you'll get in. Once we open this door there is a button inside that will open the door to let us in."
"All right. Just hurry," said Bail from the other side of the door.
As Alexis works on the door she sees her daughter looking scared. She kneels down in front of her and smiles.
"Don't worry. Nothing bad is going to happen. We'll be safe soon," said Alexis as she reassures her daughter.
Padme nods in response. "She's right. Your mommy and I won't let anything bad happen to you."
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep," the two women and the young girl turn around to see someone walking towards them from the shadow. "None of you are safe with me around."
The figure moves her hand up to the wall and begins scratching against it with her long sharp nails. Numa begins feeling tears form in her eyes as her expression turned to one of complete fear. Alexis took out her blasters and knew who this is. Thanks to the images her husband and the others showed she recognized this foe.
"Vampira, I presume?" said Alexis as she aims her blasters at the monster.
The figure soon reveals herself to be indeed Vampira as she begins laughing evilly. "Hello there, ladies. Shall we play?"
Meanwhile
In another part of the palace, Nathan managed to fight his way through the army of robots that were attacking the city. He didn't have time to fight them all since he knew his family are in danger. So, he used his Dragon Dagger and sliced his way through Damien's army. Taking down as many of them as he can before making his way to the palace.
To his surprise the army there isn't as large as the ones attacking the city. In fact, there appeared to be only a few hundred robots. He knew something about this didn't feel right and continued heading his way. He is stopped by a group of robots as they stood in his way.
"Out of my way!" Nathan didn't have time for this as he prepared to attack.
The robots though stood their ground and revealed electrical staffs. They prepared to charge to attack when several grenades landed near the robots. The grenades went off sending a powerful electrical explosion that began short-circuiting the robots. Destroying them all and leaving Nathan with an open path.
He looks over to see to who just helped him. To his surprise it was Tiberous as he begins walking over wearing his combat uniform.
"Tiberous," said Nathan as he watches his brother-in-law appear to help him…or so he thinks. "Thanks for the assistance. But now I need to go inside and make sure everyone is okay."
Tiberous however, didn't move from his position and instead began twirling his sword. "I'm afraid I can't let you do that," he replied before he grips his weapon by the handle and aims it at Nathan. "I only got involved because I didn't want you wasting any energy before we fight."
Nathan sighed under his helmet and tries to walk past him. "I don't have time for games."
Tiberous though grabs Nathan's shoulder and pushes him back. Nathan kicks him in the chest sending him into the wall. Tiberous pulls out his blaster and opened fire. Nathan blocks the shots with his Dragon Dagger before redirecting the shots back at Tiberous.
Tiberous dodges the blasts and charges at Nathan with his sword. Nathan blocks the attacks as the two weapons collided. Tiberous pushes Nathan back and swings his weapon, but Nathan thanks to his suit was much faster and is able to dodge the attacks. He even grabs the sword with his hands and then slashes it in half with his weapon.
Tiberous though elbows Nathan in the face knocking him back. But Nathan returns the hit with a roundhouse kick knocking Tiberous to the ground. Nathan got up and stood into a fighting stance. All while Tiberous got up and tosses his broken sword away.
"We done now?" Nathan asked knowing this is a waste of time. "I hope so since I got more important things to do than to fight your sorry ass."
Tiberous spits out some blood from his mouth and stood up straight. "Oh. I'm not even close to be done with you."
Nathan sighed knowing this is pointless. "We both know you can't beat me. So, just give up and let me through," said Nathan who knew without his old power Tiberous can't beat him.
Tiberous knew Nathan has a point. In his current form he doesn't stand a chance to beat Nathan. Hell, even with the new suits he is working on he knew the power of the Power Rangers are too much.
"Luckily for me I always have a backup plan," said Tiberous as he pulls out a device from his belt and places it on his left wrist.
The device appears red/black with seven buttons with strange symbols on it. Nathan stares at it confused on what it is, but could tell this isn't good.
"What is that?" Nathan asked.
"The tool to help me take my rightful place as ruler of Almora…" Tiberous moves the device near his mouth and speaks into it. "Quantum Power!"
The device begins glowing and soon engulfs Tiberous in a bright. Nathan backs away as he sees Tiberous transforming. The light begins to die down and Tiberous is seen wearing a red/black armored suit. He appears to look like a Power Ranger suit, but it was much different than the ones the Rangers use.
Nathan looks on shocked at what he is seeing and couldn't believe it. "H-how is this possible? What is this?"
Tiberous pulls out a blaster, which appears to look like the Tyrannosaurus Rex, except the color matched the suit. "This is one of the many morphers that Zane has locked up in his command base, which I took for my own. I…am the Quantum Ranger. And I will destroy you and all those who get in my way."
Meanwhile
In another part of the city, there is a group of children who are seen driving a large bus with injured adults inside. The children were all playing some games during the festival when the invasion occurred. The kids were all hiding, but they saw many of the adults were injured.
So, they took a vehicle and the oldest of the kids drove to safety. They also took the adults with them so they wouldn't die from their injuries. As they drove they are stopped by a battalion of Damien's robots. They stopped the kids and prepared to open fire on them.
The older kid thought about driving through the robots, but he knew they were be killed if they did. So, the kid began reversing the vehicle trying to get away from the robots. The robots opened fire, but the kids managed to avoid any damages to their only ride to escape. As they attempt to escape a large robot appeared and grabs the vehicle keeping it from escaping.
Try as much as the older kid tries he couldn't get their vehicle freed. The robots soon begin approaching the kids and prepared to fire, when a bright gold light appeared from behind the army. It begins passing through them until it stood in front of the vehicle. The kids look in front of them to see it is a cloaked figure who stood in front of them as the army of robots fell to the ground and blew up.
The giant robot that stopped the kids frees the vehicle and goes to attack the figure, but the figure swings what appears to be a staff and the robot was cut in half. The robot soon exploded and the figure goes to the door before the older kid opens it.
"Everyone all right?" the stranger asked getting all nods from the kids. The stranger then points down the street towards a large building. "Go straight to the parking garage of that building. There's a shelter there. I told some of the officers there to be ready to bring you kids in and help the wounded. Once inside stay in there until this whole thing blows over, okay?"
The kids all nod again before the older kid begins speaking up. "D-do you need a ride?"
The figure smiles under his hood and shook his head. "Thanks, but no thanks. I have some unfinished business with an old friend. Please, be careful and good luck."
The older kid nods and was about to take off when one of the younger kids approaches the figure. "Are you one of the Power Rangers?"
The figure turns to the young kid and places his hand on his head before smiling. "I am and I promise to protect you all. No matter what."
The kids all begin smiling when they heard the figure's response. The figure takes a step back as the door closes and the kids drive off to safety. Once they are gone the figure removes his hood and is revealed to be Zane. He looks on happy that he saved those kids and hopes they will be okay.
But first…"Thank you for being patient. I'm just glad you didn't try killing those kids."
Behind Zane, about halfway from him stood another cloaked figure with a hood over his head. "They aren't my focus right now. We both know who I want."
Zane sighed as he turns to face the figure. "I know," he said to the figure as he stares at him. "I can sense your full power has been restored. I assume you found your wife?"
The figure nods in response. "Took her a while, but she managed to find a way to break the seal you placed on me," the figure looks around and begins to smile under his hood. "I don't see your little Rangers around to help you. I take it you are going to be me alone? If so, a little risky isn't it? Considering the last time we fought you couldn't beat me."
Zane knew this much to be true, but he knew a lot has changed since then. "Last time we fought I will admit I failed to stop you alone. This time though…" he moves his right arm up to show his Gold Zeo morpher. "I won't hold back."
The figure removes his hood revealing it to be Damien, except when he opened his eyes they are glowing yellow. "Good. Because neither will I…" soon his body begins glowing dark red. "Are you ready to die, Zane?"
Zane activates his morpher and transforms into his Gold Zeo Ranger form. "No. I'm ready to end this war. So, let's get started."
That's the end of the chapter and wow it looks like the fight has begun with some surprises as well. First, it looks like Alexis, Numa, and Padme will now have to deal with Vampira. Secondly, we saw Tiberous appears to be in possession of the Quantum morpher. So, we will get the Green Mighty Morphin Ranger against the Quantum Ranger.
Does this mean we'll also get their Zords in combat? It also looks like Zane versus Damien will finally happen. How will all of this go? Will this end well or will this end with a lot of deaths?
