Chapter 72 is here guys and I hope everyone is ready for the new chapter. Here we are getting closer to the end of this story. At least the first season of it. Yeah, pretty much all of this was a long first season, which means there will be others in the future.

For now though I am working to finish up my stories so I will have time to work on the other ones. All while also balancing out my classes and work. So, I hope everyone will understand and will be patient. I am looking forward to this since I though this will be a longer arc than expected.

It won't be too long, but it will be a good finale. Last time we saw our heroes begin their fight to protect Almora from Damien's forces. They have begun the attack and now the Rangers have to stop them. Will they be successful or will they fail?

Fight for Almora Part II

Almora

The fighting continues all around the city of Almora. The soldiers of Almora are holding their own against Damien's army despite lack of communications from the higher ups. They learned from Tiberous that should they lose communications to find other ways to contact with the rest of the soldiers. One way they have been doing it is using an old messaging method their ancestors used…Morse code.

They were able to use this old tech to help them communicate with the rest of the armies around the city to help coordinate better. They were able to use this old tech to also help them communicate with their ships. Allowing them to take off and fight against Damien's ships. Unfortunately for them they can't get in contact with the Halo ring and the rest of their fleet in orbit.

They can't get the signal from the Morse code to the facility since they don't carry the machine to receive any codes. The good news though is if the Halo ring doesn't receive any communications from the surface in the next ten minutes then they will know something is up and send help. The bad news though is if Damien's ships get into position they can begin a bombardment. And because the shields are protecting the shelters the people caught outside of these facilities will be killed.

Luckily for them, the Power Rangers have been helping the soldiers keep the ships from getting into position. The Pink Ranger flew in her Zord with the Falconzord by her side. They help the Starfighters of Almora shoot down the enemy fighters and ships.

As for the rest of the team they are on the ground helping the rest of the soldiers fight back. Rick and Barriss are helping push back any enemy heavy vehicles. All while helping the soldiers on the ground take out the robots. Lux and Jake are helping shield the soldiers from any of the Starfighters from dropping their bombs on them.

Their Zords managed to withstand the blow and fired back at the fighters. Helping clear the way for the soldiers as they push the enemy back.

"Rick, where are you and Barriss at?" Jake asked as his Tyrannosaur Rex Zord charges at some tanks and destroys them.

"We're pushing them north east of the city. I'm hoping we push them outside of the city so we can take the fight more in the forest," said Rick as his Triceratops Zord fires at the robots.

"Just don't get too confident yet," said Jake who knew this fight isn't over yet. "Rachel, how's it going up there? Any problems?"

"Nothing yet," said Rachel as she manages to dodge the attacks from the fleet. "But these ships keep on coming. No matter how many we destroy. We need to shut these portals down."

"Easier said than done," said Barriss who knew they didn't have any more jammers to stop the portals. "We have to get word to the rest of the fleet what is going on."

"Rachel could go up there to try warning the fleet, but we need her to help the rest of the fighters," said Lux as his Zord rams through the enemy.

"Don't worry. I have someone who should take care of that for us. For now we need to…" suddenly Jake's Zord gets blasted by a purple glowing electrical attack.

This caused Jake to fall from his Zord and land on the ground. Despite being tossed out of his Zord, Jake managed to land on the ground as he looks towards who attacked him. It was a woman in her 20s wearing a dark-skin leather suit with metallic armor and a handband around her head. Short red hair, fair skin, and violet eyes. She is seen with a staff that is in the form of a diamond with a gold symbol on it.

"Jake?! What's wrong?" Rachel asked wondering if her brother is okay.

"I'm fine. I just ran into one of Damien's followers," Jake replied as he sees his attacker walking towards him. "You don't look like one of Damien's monsters. I have to assume you are a follower of his or one of his mind-controlled puppets?"

The woman simply smiled before firing another purple electrical attack from her staff. Jake dodges the attack and summons his Power Sword.

"Someone has a temper. Who are you?" he asked as he got into a fighting stance.

"Astronema," the woman replied as she aims her staff at the Red Ranger. "The Queen of Darkness and Damien's wife."

"Damien's wife?!" Jake was shocked to hear that not only did Damien have a wife, but that once more Zane failed to mention this. "So, let me guess. You're here to kill me?"

Astronema shook her head in response. "Oh not just you, but your friends as well."

"Not if I have anything to say about it," said Jake as he prepares to fight.

"Not alone you won't," Jake looks over and sees the others have arrive to join him with his sister standing next to him. "We left our Zords on auto-pilot. We figure you could use the backup against this crazy lady."

Jake wanted to tell them he has this and fight her alone, but if she is Damien's wife then that means she is as strong as him.

"All right. We fight together and be careful," said Jake who knew if any of them got hurt it will be bad.

"Don't need to tell us twice," said Lux as he opened fire with his Power Axe.

Astronema blocks the attacks and fires from her staff. The Rangers dodged the attack and charged at her. Rachel and Lux opened fire at Astronema forcing her to block the attacks with her staff. All while Rick leaps over and swings his Power Lance at her. Astronema blocks the attacks and pushes him back to slash at him.

However, Barriss leaps over and blocks the attacks with her Power Daggers. Barriss ducks and allows Rick to thrust his lance at Astronema. Astronema leaps out of the way and attacks. Jake though comes in and blocks her attacks with his sword.

Rachel and Lux used this chance to open fire at Astronema. They fire at her causing her to block the attacks once more. However, this left Jake and opening as he charges at her. He brings his sword down at her forced her on one knee. Rick and Barriss leap over behind her to try attack her.

Suddenly Astronema's body begins to glow as she unleashes a purple energy wave that knocks the three Rangers away from her. She then turns to Rachel and Lux then opened fire. The two Rangers leap out of the way as the attack explodes where they stood. The two Rangers managed to land on the ground as they regroup with the others.

Astronema's body continued to glow as she begins smiling. "Impressive. You five are a lot stronger than what my husband told me. I can see why he would have so much trouble with you all. A lot more trouble than the Rangers I dealt with in my time."

"What can we say? We have a good teacher," said Barriss as she made sure their guard remains up.

"Is that so? Well, let's see how prepared you all are…" Astronema taps the end of her staff to the ground causing more robots to emerge as they surround the Rangers. "Are you ready to die, Rangers?"

Jake turns to his friends and sister before turning back to Astronema. "Not today."

Jake's body begins to transform as he transformed into his Battlizer form. He transformed back to his normal form when he entered his Zord to make room. Now though he'll need all the power he has to finish this fight. The Rangers lift their weapons and charge at the enemy.

Meanwhile

Inside the palace, Alexis ran down the hallway with her daughter Numa in her arms and Padme running behind her. They ran to find a safe place to hold up, while being chased by Vampira. Earlier they tried to get to the safe room, but it got locked so they needed to find another place to hide in. Unfortunately for them they are found by Vampira and she began coming after them.

The good thing is she appears to be playing with them. Not chasing them down at her usual speed, but appears to be taking her time. Making sure she doesn't lose track of them and taunting them. This caused Numa to almost cry, but Alexis keeps reassuring her daughter it will be okay.

For Numa though she was too scared to believe this. The last time she was told everything would be okay her uncle was killed. At the hands of the same monster who is chasing them. She is afraid to lose her mother and afraid she will lose everything again.

Luckily for them Alexis knows the palace inside and out. So, she knew where the other safe rooms are at. She also knows where there are extra weapons for them to use. For example…she hands her daughter to Padme and bangs her hand against a wall opening up to reveal a hidden panel.

Inside there is a rifle, which is already loaded. She pulls it out and aims it at Vampira.

"Do you believe your little toy can harm me, you old hag?" Vampira taunted as she begins accelerating towards Alexis.

Alexis smiles though as she sees Vampira approach her. "Its not any ordinary weapon," she presses a button on it causing ultra-violet lights to fire from where the flashlight is at.

Vampira stops and screams in pain as she feels the ultra-violet lights hitting her. Alexis then surprised her when she opened fire causing a long red laser to be shot from the gun. The laser burns off Vampira's arm causing her to scream in pain and retreat into the darkness. Alexis moves her weapon around to make sure Vampira is nowhere nearby.

Once it was clear she turns to Padme and grabs her arm as they begin to run again.

"W-what was that?" Padme asked wondering what sort of weapon Alexis used.

"A new toy the lab made just in case we ran into Vampira or Torus," said Alexis thanking their scientist for developing this weapon. "We're almost to the safe room. Luckily we made them so they will keep us safe from Vampira. We just need to get inside and lock ourselves in there."

"Wait! What about Anakin?" Padme asked knowing they still need to save Anakin from Damien.

Alexis feels Padme stop and it caused her to sigh. "Padme, I know you want to save Anakin, but not while we're being chased by that crazy witch."

"I know that, but I don't want to remain locked up somewhere while everyone else is fighting," said Padme who refused to run and hide. "I need to help save Anakin. For him and our children."

"Children?" the women look over and see Vampira down the hallway covered in darkness with her eyes glowing brightly, which caused Numa to look away out of fear. "You are carrying Skywalker's children?"

Alexis pushes Padme behind her while Padme held Numa tightly. Alexis aims her weapon at Vampira, but the monster general moves back to keep her distance from the light.

"Interesting," Vampira replied with an evil green that showed off her sharp teeth. "On one hand killing you and presenting your dead corpses to Skywalker will plunge him into eternal darkness. Making him our knight forever. On the other hand if the children of Skywalker are as powerful as him then you are worth keeping alive…for now. As for your friends though...they are not so lucky."

Alexis opened fire, but Vampira begins charging at them at a speed that the women couldn't follow. Alexis knew she isn't going to be able to hit her, so she pushes Padme and her daughter into a nearby room before Vampira tackles her. Vampira slams Alexis into the wall causing her to drop her weapon. Vampira begins strangling Alexis who tries her might to punch and kick her enemy away.

Padme recovered as Numa screams for her mother. Padme keeps the young Twi'lek back as she pulls out her blaster then opened fire. Vampira however is unfazed by the blasters shots and summons her wings as she uses them to blow Padme away sending her across the hallway. Vampira then turns her attention back to Alexis who manages to get a hit to the monster's face, but it didn't do any harm.

Vampira giggles evilly as she tightens her grip around the woman's neck. "You are a brave and strong woman. Just like Tiberous told us. Too bad you aren't strong enough to beat us. But don't worry, I'll make sure your little girl dies a quick death."

As Vampira prepares to kill Alexis she feels a blaster shot hitting her from behind. She looks behind her to see Numa with her hands trembling as she shot Vampira with the blaster. Vampira begins giggling when she saw the girl holding back her tears as she tried to shoot her. This was something she doesn't see often.

"Brave girl. But very foolish," said Vampira unaware Alexis pulling something from her back pocket. "Too bad now I'm going to have to make your mother suffer for that!"

Vampira turns to bite Alexis's neck when Alexis pulls out a knife and jabs it into Vampira's left eye. The monster general roared in pain as she tosses Alexis away. Numa runs to her mother and checks on her. Alexis coughs loudly as she tries to get some air in her, while Padme rushes over to them.

Padme helps Alexis up just as Vampira pulls the knife out of her eye and crushes the blaster that Alexis used earlier. She turns to the women angrily as her right eye begins glowing red.

"Now I'm going to make you all suffer and die a painful death!" Vampira shouted in anger as she goes to attack when someone appears from the ceiling and cuts off Vampira's arms with two glowing red lightsabers.

Vampira roared in pain once more before the figure swings the lightsabers and cuts Vampira in half silencing her. Padme and Numa look on in shocked with what just happened. All while Alexis who finally recovered from the attack stood on her own two feet without any help. She then approaches the figure who turns to face them wearing a mask.

"About time you showed up. I was wondering if you were going to be here or not," said Alexis as she began to smile.

"I was waiting for the right moment to strike. I wasn't going to just show up and risk getting cut in half if she saw me coming," spoke the figure revealing to be a woman.

Padme looks on confused as she taps on Alexis's shoulders. "Alexis, who is this?"

"Oh right. Padme, you remember the little backup I said I had? Well here she is," said Alexis as the figure begins removing the mask revealing her appearance.

She appears to be around Padme's age with pale skin, blue eyes, and is a Dathomirian female. Padme instantely recognized her and grabs the blaster from Numa to move to their savior. Alexis though stops her, which confused Padme.

"Alexis! What do you think you are doing? Don't you know who this woman is?"

Alexis nods in response. "I do and that is why I hired her," Alexis turns to the woman and smiles. "Because the enemy of our enemy is our friend. Don't you agree, Ventress?"

The woman reveals herself to be Assajj Ventress. The former apprentice of Count Dooku and former Separatist assassin.

"Just as long as I get paid I don't care," said Ventress as she deactivates her weapons. "You have a problem with me, senator?"

Padme glares at the assassin knowing all the terrible things she has done to the Republic. However, right now is not the time to fight her. Right now they need to get to somewhere safe. Before they run into any more trouble.

"For now I have other things to deal with, Ventress. But if you try anything then…" Alexis placed her hand on Padme's shoulder to calm her down. Padme does so as she calms herself down. "Let's just get going."

Alexis nods in agreement as she picks her daughter up and they begin taking off. Unaware Vampira's body begins pulling itself back together. The darkness flowing through her helping her recover from being cut in half as her severed arm also begins pulling itself to her body. Her eyes opening as they begin glowing brightly while her evil laugh can be heard echoing down the hallway.

Meanwhile

Ahsoka managed to push her way through Damien's army as she heads towards the palace. She heard the others are currently engaged against Damien's forces in the city. This was good since the soldiers of Almora needed help against Damien's army and to help the civilians. Despite how the fighting began it seems things have begun to turn on their side.

She looks over to see someone fighting against a group of Damien's robots in the plaza just before going to the palace. She rushes over and manages to cut down some of the robots from behind. She leaps over them and lands near who is fighting them. She looks over and smiled under her helmet when she saw it is Obi Wan.

He has already morphed into his Silver Ranger form and is using his chains to slash through the robots. Ahsoka uses Saba to help cut down some of the robots to help even the odds.

"Good to see your holding your own, master," said Ahsoka as she uses Saba to open fire at some of the robots. "Where are Master Windu and Shaak Ti?"

"They were given their lightsabers back from the royal guards and they joined them to help fight Damien's army," said Obi Wan as he begins charging his chains. "Mind getting down for a second?"

Ahsoka didn't hesitate as she ducks allowing Obi Wan to swing his chains and cut down the robots destroying them all. Once they are gone Ahsoka looks around to see the coast is cleared.

Obi Wan took out Ahsoka's lightsabers and hand them over to her. "I gave Barriss hers back before she took off. I think we'll need ours if we run into any of Damien's monsters."

Ahsoka nods in agreement before putting her lightsabers on her belt. "We need to find Padme and make sure she is okay. Once we find her then we'll go after…" Ahsoka stopped when she sensed a dark familiar presence. "Master."

Obi Wan nods in response. "I know. He's here."

The two turn around to see someone walking towards them. They knew who it was because he wasn't wearing his suit. It was Anakin. At least, what they believed is him.

They saw his skin appeared pale, his eyes were yellow, and he appeared to be wearing dark clothing. The two Rangers stood their ground as Anakin stops right across from them. He tosses his robe away and stares right at his enemies. Ahsoka could sense the rage and anger flowing through her former master.

She knew this wasn't the Anakin she knows. This is the evil side of him. The same one that is controlling Anakin and the one who serves Damien. She knew until they can get to Padme they will need to fight him.

"Hello, Ahsoka. My former student," said the dark side of Anakin with a hint of venom in his tone before turning to the Silver Ranger. "Hello, Obi Wan. My former master."

Obi Wan didn't know how Anakin found out, but he didn't care. "You can dispense with the ruse. We both know you aren't the real Anakin no matter what you say. You are just a parasite that has taken over his body against his free will. We will free him and you will be destroyed."

The dark side of Anakin begins laughing evilly as he soon lets out a small sigh. "Didn't you learn you lesson last time? You couldn't free him even with that traitorous bitch next to you. Hell you didn't fair much against me either, old man. So, what makes you two think you can beat me? Your new powers?"

Ahsoka ignore the bitch part and replied with some confidence in her tone. "The last time we fought I had you beat and I only hesitated because I wanted to help save my master. But this time I won't hold back and neither will Obi Wan. We will give you everything we have until we free our friend from the darkness. And if I might add, didn't the Red Ranger beat you so badly you needed saving?"

The dark side of Anakin begins to glow in a dark red color as his rage began increasing. "Your friend got lucky! You all got lucky! This time I will finish what I started! I will kill you all!"

Obi Wan sighed as he turns to Ahsoka. "You just had to make him mad, didn't you?" he asked but didn't seem worried.

Ahsoka shrugs her shoulders. "I'd figure if he loses his temper then he'll be easier to beat. We just need to keep our guard up and wait for an opening."

The dark side of Anakin begins laughing evilly as he took out his morpher. "Unfortunately for you two as tempting as it would be to fight you both I have a better idea. Divide and conquer. It's morphin' time."

Soon the dark side of Anakin transform into his Cerberus Ranger form. Already his sword in hand as he begins laughing evilly.

"Now, I call upon the the Cerberus Zord!" the Cerberus Ranger moves his sword up and summons his Zord to the planet as it stood behind him as the three canine heads all howled.

Ahsoka and Obi Wan see the Cerberus Zord already unleashed. This wasn't good. They needed to lure the Zord away from the city. However, they knew they won't be able to do that unless one of them lures it away.

"Master, let me take the Cerberus Zord somewhere else," Ahsoka volunteered knowing Obi Wan has more experience with Anakin than she does.

Obi Wan nods knowing they'll have a better chance defending the city if one of them fights the Cerberus Zord. "Do you need Titanus?"

Ahsoka shook her head in response. "I can handle these mutts on my own. I need White Tigerzord power now!"

Soon the White Tigerzord emerged in a bright light as it lets out a loud roar. Ahsoka leaps up to the cockpit of her Zord as she gets ready for power.

"All right, you damn mutts. Let's go take this fight somewhere else!" Ahsoka replied as she has her Tigerzord lure the Cerberus Zord away.

The Cerberus Ranger didn't bother to keep his Zord to fight in the city. He needed to lure the White Ranger away so he can destroy Kenobi.

"So, here we are once more. Master and student face-to-face. Are you ready to die, Kenobi?" the Cerberus Ranger asked as he begins twirling his sword.

Obi Wan took out his lightsaber as it begins merging with his power suit. Soon the lightsaber begins glowing bright silver color instead of its usual blue color. The Cerberus Ranger gets into a fighting stance as well. Both know each other so well that they both know it will come to one of them making a mistake to allow the other to win.

"I know the real Anakin is in there and I hope he can hear me. Anakin…we will save you and forgive me for doing this," Obi Wan gets into a fighting stance. "But I will do what I must to save you."

"You will try…" the Cerberus Ranger leaps over and soon the two begin their fight.

Meanwhile

Nathan leaps out of the way as Tiberous fired a red energy attack from his Quantum Defender blaster. Nathan manages to land on the ground as he sees Tiberous in this…Quantum Ranger form approach him. Nathan was shocked to find out that Tiberous even had a morpher, but was even more shocked by how he got it. It was right after Alphonse's death where Zane was worried Tiberous will use his powers to get revenge on Nathan.

So, he asked him to hand over his morpher while he discusses what to do about him. Tiberous knew the Command Center well and knew where Zane kept the morphers. He took one of them and has been training to use the Quantum morpher for years. Waiting for the chance to use it against Nathan.

Tiberous showed he was very skilled with the new suit and with the weapon. He learned much about how to use it, including the different weapon modes his Quantum Defender blaster has. Like the Blaster Mode that allowed him to fire multiple rapid blaster shots. Nathan managed to dodge them, while also taking the fight towards the gardens.

He wanted to avoid getting any guards involved and wanted to try getting close to getting inside the palace. Nathan dodges yet another blaster shot and decides it is time to fight back. He charges his Dragon Dagger and fires a green energy blast at Tiberous. His brother-in-law though dodges the attack and the two soon stand across one another.

"Finally fighting back, coward!" Tiberous shouted as he grips his weapon tightly in his right hand. "Good. Now come at me and fight!"

It was true that Nathan hasn't been fighting Tiberous seriously since he was hoping to avoid fighting him all together. He didn't want to do this since he knew Tiberous is wrong about what happened to Alphonse. He knew it and he wanted to try proving him wrong. But now he knew there is no point in trying.

Tiberous is long gone and if he won't listen to reason then he'll beat it into him. Until he is ready to listen to him and so he can finally tell him what happened.

"The only coward around here is you," said Nathan pointing his weapon at his brother-in-law. "You turned your back on your people. You betrayed them by handing our planet over to Damien. You even turned your back on your family. I bet if your mother was alive…"

"Shut up!" Tiberous fires rapid blaster shots from his weapon at Nathan.

Nathan however deflected the blasters shots with his dagger. "You know what I say is true. Why else would you betray everyone?"

"I didn't betray everyone! I am doing this to save Almora," said Tiberous as he tries justifying his actions. "Ever since my father retired he has been focusing on providing peace to our people and opening up our world to all those who wish for peace as well. However, all he did was cause our world to become weakened in this time of peace. I thought our presence on our world would convince father to see how much we need to defend our world. Even with the death of his son…it didn't change anything."

"You're wrong," Nathan replied. "Your father wanted peace and wanted to provide others with the same peace even Alphonse wanted."

"Don't speak of my brother like you knew him! I knew him better than you!" Tiberous replied in anger.

"If you knew him better than me then you know he wouldn't want you doing this! He would want you to protect everyone and fight!" Nathan argued back. "And your father did change after Alphonse's death. He put you in charge to help defend our people because he knew you would keep our people safe. He knew it and so did Alphonse."

"Father only put me in charge to try looking like he is keeping us safe, but he isn't the one doing that. I am! I am trying to save our people from his weakness and his softness," said Tiberous as he tightens his weapon and aims it at Nathan. "I am saving our people from you, my weak sister, and your children. None of you are fit to rule Almora. I will save it from Damien, I will bring our people out of the fire, and once I am king I will destroy the Separatist. And then…the Republic."

Nathan sighed as he shook his head in disappointment. "You have clearly lost it. There is no point in talking to you about his," Nathan's dagger begins to glow brightly. "Maybe after I beat you down you'll see how wrong you are."

"Beat me? Ha!" Tiberous laughed as he presses the red button on the side of his weapon as a long blade appears on the weapon. "Unlike you I have been training non-stop in this form. I know how strong it is compared to your powers and I know it can't beat me. This power is more advanced than your old morpher. You can't win against my power."

Nathan begins laughing, which seems to confuse Tiberous. "You really think just because your new suit is fancy and futuristic it can beat me? Oh Tiberous, you still have a lot to learn."

Tiberous became angry that Nathan is insulting him and charges his weapon. "Shut up! I will show you why my power is greater than your power!" he begins charging his weapon. "Freeze Strike Mode!"

Tiberous's blade begins to glow as he charges at Nathan. Nathan stood by as his body begins to glow. Tiberous brings his weapon down, but Nathan blocks the attack with his dagger. The Quantum Defender clashes into the Dragon Dagger causing a shockwave that broke the glass around the palace.

However, the attack from Tiberous didn't break Nathan's dagger. Instead once the dust clears Tiberous sees Nathan's suit has changed. The amor appears bulkier, the color turned to a dark shade of green, silver trims appeared on his head, and his dagger appears to have gotten longer to appear more sword-like.

Nathan pushes Tiberous back and gets into a fighting position. "As impressive as your power is there is a reason why the original Green Ranger power was more valuable," said Nathan his Dragon Dagger…Dragon Sword begins glowing. "Because unlike the Quantum power, the Green Ranger power is stronger."

Meanwhile

Damien and Zane took their fight to the forest that was near the palace. The trees and ground shook with each hit the two rivals lay in on the other. The two men continued fighting as Zane dodges Damien's attacks. Zane then returned fire with his Golden Staff, but Damien also dodged the attacks.

Damien lands across from Zane as he opened his mouth and fire comes out. It begins heading towards Zane in the form of a large fireball. Zane's staff begins to glow as he brings it down on the ground. The fire soon parted ways keeping Zane safe.

Zane then moves his hands out then begins drawing the fire, which has been split in half thanks to his staff. He draws them to his hands and begins merging them together. Purifying the dark red fire into a light blue fire as he fires it back at Damien. Damien caught the flames and sends a shockwave across the forest.

Zane blocks the shockwave towards his area and charges at Damien. Damien summons a dark sword as both weapons collided with each other causing another powerful shockwave that knocked down some trees. The two soon pushed each other back as they fired another attack. Both their attacks caused a third shockwave that cleared the area around them until only debris was left standing.

Damien and Zane soon stop fighting as they just stared at each other. Both feeling some familiarities from this fight. Yes. This was exactly how they fought thousands of years ago.

The only different is they are fighting on a world with life on it and it has been a thousand years. Damien begins laughing as he places the end of his sword on the ground for a moment.

"Despite how long it has been you haven't lost your touch," said Damien who is pleased to know his former best friend still has it.

"Neither have you," said Zane as he keeps his guard up despite the two talking. "It's a damn shame though it has come down to this again. You had time to learn from your mistake and be better, but instead you chose to go back to trying to become a tyrant."

"And I would have thought your time in this galaxy would help you realize that I was right. No matter how much good you do and how many bad guys you stop there will always be another bad guy ready to take their place," said Damien as he looks up into the sky. "For thousands of years this galaxy always finds itself caught in conflict. The Jedi against the Sith. Fighting in an endless battle with so many innocent lives killed in the process. And despite stopping them evil will always return."

Zane knew what Damien speaks of is true. No matter how much the Jedi try the Sith will never disappear. Instead of changing or learning from their past mistakes they keep on repeating them. Over and over with more wars breaking out.

"Even now before we made our presence known another war broke out between the Jedi and the Sith. Millions of lives being lost in the process and this war was nowhere close to ending," said Damien as he felt his right hand tightening on the grip of the handle of his sword. "The Jedi, foolishly sending their young into combat, continuing to give the enemy what they want, and not seeing that they are being manipulated. Even if they somehow won the war it wouldn't matter. The Sith will return. And then the cycle will repeat itself unless someone stops it."

"By becoming the new source of evil?" Zane asked knowing what Damien wants to do. "By taking away the freedom of the innocent? Killing all those who disobey? That isn't making things better. In fact, all you would end up doing is becoming the very thing you are fighting against."

"This is true," said Damien who knows what Zane says is right. "I would end up becoming the very evil I wanted to destroy and make sure it never rose to power. But I also know by doing this then the galaxy wouldn't have to worry about another evil tyrant taking over. At least with me I can make sure peace is secured and conflicts will end."

"But there will be no freedom," said Zane who wasn't going to allow this to happen. "I won't let you do this. You forgot everything I taught you. You abused the power we created together to turn someone against their own free will to kill. And you have harmed too many innocent people, including…"

Damien knew who Zane was going to mention and sighed. "I never wanted to harm her. I wanted to make her sick with an illness you would think has no cure. In days though she would have recovered, but by then I would have taken over. But it seems my wife had other ideas."

"So, she wanted her dead…" which didn't surprise Zane, especially how Damien did care for Serenity and he should have known he wouldn't want her to die. "But since she made the virus I take it there is no cure then. No chance of her waking up."

Damien shook his head in response. "I made sure she included a cure once I found out what she did. However, if you want the cure you'll need to kill me first. Though I doubt you'll be able to beat me. You couldn't beat me at my full power last time and this time you are all alone."

Zane knew Damien is right. The last time they fought he almost did lose, but something about this time seems different. Last time they did talk, but not for a long time. In fact, Damien talked very little and focused on trying to kill him.

Now though? It seems that is all he is doing. More talk than fighting him. And if he wanted to he could finish this now with this full power, yet he isn't.

"Despite claiming you got your full power back I can tell you are still holding back. Why? What are you waiting for? Why are you holding back?"

Damien scoffed before he replied. "What makes you think I'm holding back? Perhaps I just want to enjoy this while I can before I finish you off."

Zane knew that isn't it. Sure, Damien did toy with him the first time they fought. But he knew when he did that it only bought Zane time till his friends helped him. Damien wouldn't risk making the same mistake again unless…Zane soon realized what Damien is doing.

Damien's powers are not at 100%. That must be it. Zane thought figuring that's why Damien isn't going all out. It has been too long since he was at full power.

He also must have had his powers return to him recently. That's why he's probably hesitating to use his full power. He's trying to buy time so his body can be used to having his powers. If he uses them now then his body right now won't be able to handle it.

This is the opportunity Zane needs. He's holding back his full power since he was waiting to use it on Damien when he goes all out. But if he's not at full power he can finish this. He charges his staff and prepares to attack.

"Very well, Damien. If you think we need to end this then let's do it then," said Zane as his staff begins to glow.

Damien growls as his power begins to glow. He had hoped Zane wouldn't attack him so soon and wanted to try buying himself time. His body isn't ready to fight with all he has and needed to wait. So, what now? It seems he'll need to use his full power in order to hold his own against Zane.

"Let's end this indeed," said Damien as he lifts his sword as it begins to glow dark red. "I just hope you understand that while we fight your allies will all fall before me. Almora's forces are outnumbered, your Rangers can't protect everyone, and this planet will fall before me."

"Don't count on it," said Zane

Meanwhile

Across from the palace there is the Almora communication facility. This facility is in charge of helping keep communications for Almora's military forces. From their com-links, to their ships, to the halo ring that surrounds the planet. Unfortunately for the military the facility has been jammed.

Tiberous had arrived earlier and placed a virus that will prevent the military from contacting for help from the other fleet. It will also soon send a transmission to the ships that everything is okay and nothing to worry about. Just in case, Tiberous also had the staff knocked out and placed in a secure room. He also made sure the rooms are locked so that Damien's robots can't harm his people.

It didn't stop the robots from breaking in as they attempt to hack into the facility to take over. So they can prevent Almora's forces from regrouping and even try hacking into the fleet along with the halo ring to destroy them. However, inside the communication room the robots see the door opening. They turn around and aim their blasters over to the figure who opened the door.

It was a young teenage girl with short black hair with a bow behind her head, green eyes, freckles on her cheek, fair skin, wearing glasses, and wearing a pink dress.

"Hello there. Would you please mind leaving the facility in peace?" the young girl asked politely. "If you do not leave I will be forced to remove you from the facility by force.

The robots however begin charging their weapons as they prepared to open fire. The young girl noticed this and begins removing her glasses.

"Very well. Force it is," said the young girl as her eyes begin to glow as her hands begin to glow as well. "For Almora, I will destroy you all."

Well, for those who read my past chapters I think you'll figure out who the girl is. It also seems like things are going both good and bad for the Power Rangers. Will they succeed in defeating Damien and his army? Will the little backup they are getting help them turn the tide?

Will Zane be able to defeat Damien if he is not at full power? Will Obi Wan and Ahsoka save Anakin? Will the Rangers defeate Astronema? And will our ladies survive against Vampira when she puts herself back together?
