Strange said that in order for the box to work I had to get Freddy into the real world and I needed his blood to seal him in. Jacob and Alice were with me. I met them a week ago, they were alone in New York with no place to stay and some scumbags tried to mug them. The only reasons they aren't dead was because I didn't wanna kill anyone in front of a four year old kid. They looked scarred like they were running.
"You guys need help?" I asked.
"I don't think you can help us." Alice said tears in her eyes.
"Try me."
Then she told me about Freddy Krueger. She told me about how her and her son Jacob could enter dreams. She told me that Freddy was dead but trying to use Alice and Jacob as a bridge from Hell back to Earth. She also said if he succeeded that they would both be dead. I told them I knew a guy.
Strange was to busy fighting some godlike being on the astral plane to take care of it himself. He gave me a gold and black puzzle box. He called it a modified lament configuration designed to trap malicious spirits inside of it. Mostly I like putting down child murdering scumbags down for good, but from what Alice told me just about everyone in Springwood tried for years, they were dead now.
"You both ready for this?" I asked.
"Ok." Jacob said.
"I guess we'll find out," Alice said. "You sure your up for this Frank?"
"He's not the first monster I put down, he damm sure won't be the last." I said.
"Remember we stick together in the dream world," Alice said. "Me and Jacob will be able to pull us all out once we grab Freddy."
"I got the box right here," I said holding it up in my left hand. "And got something to make him bleed right here." I said holding a shotgun in my right hand.
"You ready baby?" Alice asked. Jacob nodded. "Lets get started." We all closed out eyes. When I opened mine back up we were standing in a dayroom of a hospital. Place looked like it hadn't been used in years.
"This is where he was conceived." Alice said, I turned she was holding Jacob's hand.
"This is where the bad man tried to take me when I was in mommies tummy." Jacob said.
"Where should we start looking?" I asked.
"There!" Jacob shouted pointing behind me. There was a red neon sign saying 'Slaughter House This Way' with an arrow pointing down a hallway. We followed it. It lead down a corrido filled with cells. The cells were filled with crazy people. Shouting, cutting themselves, using their own waste to paint obscenities on the walls. I just kept focus straight ahead. That's when I saw Lisa.
"You come to play dad?" She said. I lowered my shot gun.
"Look crispy the pedophile. Your not the first clown to pull this trick. Why don't you just come out?"
Lisa pouted. "Gee dad you never let me have any fun." She said in a ugly voice that belonged to a grown man. She twisted and deformed like silly putty, changing into a man with a brown hat, red and green stripped sweater with burnt skin.
"Come on Frankie? Don't you wanna have a little fun? Alice and Jacob know I'm all about the fun." Freddy said leering at the mother and child. I pumped a shell into the chamber and fired. Freddy flew back spinning in the air. He landed on his feet, Freddy was wearing leather chaps, a vest and ten gallon hat. Christ.
"Hold it there partner," He said doing a piss poor John Wayne impression. "We don't do bush wackin in this nut house." That's when I noticed I wasn't holding my shotgun anymore, followed by a gun belt around my waist that I didn't strap on.
"On the count of…" I didn't let him finish I drew the pistol and fired charging as I did. I tackled the charred molester bringing him down to the ground.
"Ok fine," Freddy said, I could feel his body shift and change. "Straight to business then." He changed into a giant snake and wrapped himself around my body. He listed me up off the ground, I could feel my ribs creek and crack. The snake turned it head toward me, Freddy kept his head the same.
"I know your some big shot killer in your world," He said twisting harder, ribs snapped and joints popped. "But here I make the rules. This is my world…Bitch!"
"It's not just your world." Alice yelled. She flew by and the Freddy's head came off. The snakes body loosened, I fell coughing. I saw Alice, she was wearing silver armor holding a sword.
"Know you know what they say," Freddy's severed head said as it grew a new body, one twice the size of Freddy's regular form. "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger."
"You're not the only one who's stronger!" Jacob said.
Freddy turned to him and laughed. He stopped laughing as Jacob turned into a red version of the Hulk. I looked at Alice.
"What red's his favorite color?"
Jacob lifted his massive fists and slammed them into Krueger. Freddy crumbled, Alice ran to me and pulled me to my feet.
"Hold him honey!" Jacob pinned Krueger to the ground and pulled me along touching her son's shoulder.
"Wake up!" Alice shouted. I opened my eyes we were back in the warehouse. Jacob was screaming, Freddy was standing over Alice about to plunge his clawed glove into her chest. I pumped the shot gun resting on my lap and fired. The buck shot tore Freddy's gloved hand off at the wrist. I stood up, pumped another shell into the chamber and fired. The buck shot ripped Krueger's chest apart and knocked him onto his back.
"Pick up the box and start working on the incantation." I said to Alice.
"What about the blood!"
I kicked Krueger's severed hand over to her. "That'll do."
Krueger tried to stand up, I put a shell of buck shot in each knee. Alice twists the puzzle box apart and begins the incantation. I grabbed Krueger by his collar and dragged him closer.
"You see that," I said jerking his head up so he got a good look at the box. "That's where you'll be spending the rest of eternity. It'll be a tight squeeze."
"You don't think I'll get out," Krueger said turning his head towards me. "I always come back bitch."
"And when you do I'll be right here waiting. You'll never hurt another kid as long as I live. I don't care if I have to march through hell to do it. Your never hurting anyone again. Bitch."
The box started glowing it shot a beam of light at Freddy. He screamed as the light engulfed him. The light disappeared and there wasn't a trace of Krueger. Not him, his hand or even his blood. Alice still held the box, it sealed itself and the glow died.
"Is over mommy?" Jacob asked.
Alice started crying, tears pouring down her face as she laughed. She grabbed Jacob holding him tight. "Yes baby. It's over."

I sent Alice and Jacob away the next day. With two hundred thousand in unmarked bill I lifted off some Jamaican coke smugglers after they no longer had need of them. Jacob wanted to stay, so did Alice. My life isn't compatible with a woman or kids. Not anymore.
I borrowed a fishing boat from a dead Russian mobster. I dumped the box in a bucket filled with concreate. Decided I'd dump that and my Russian friend in international waters. Kill two scumbags with one stone. I dumped the box first, watched it sink as far as I could see. I had the Russian wrapped in a chain-link fence. I had just finished with tipping the corpse over the side when he showed up.
"Hardly a proper burial." Strange said. Or Strange's ghost. A blue see through version.
"What do you want Strange? I know if you were coming to arrest me you wouldn't look like Casper right now."
"I just wanted to warn you."
"About?"
"This isn't the first time you've meddled in magical affairs. Krueger now, before that it was Derry, before that Haddonfield and before that Crystal Lake."
"Scumbags a scumbag. Don't care whether he kills with guns or hocus pocus. He does wrong he has to die."
"An admirable philosophy, but be careful. Those who disturb the mystic arts, especially when those arts are tainted by darkness tend not to meet good ends."
I shrugged. "To be fair wasn't planning on happy ending for myself anyway."
"Maybe not," Strange said. "Take care of yourself Frank."
He disappeared. I took the boat to a quite dock. It will come in handy when I need to blow up that mafia warehouse latter this week.
