Here we go with chapter five (Chapter 82) of season two. I hope everyone is looking forward to the chapter. So, last time things didn't go so well for our heroes huh? Not only did they get their asses kicked, but their Zords got damaged. Not destroyed, but pretty damaged.
It seems General Arachnia's new monster proved to be too much for the Rangers. That's not good at all. Like I said before, at least the Zords weren't destroyed. Like we always saw in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series or even the other series where the Zords get destroyed.
Yeah, that was a common thing. I don't know if its still a common thing now with the new series they have done in the last ten years. But, it was a common thing. Still, how will things go for our heroes?
Will they find a way to overcome the odds? Will they find a new power to win? Will they find it in time before Abomination is unleashed again? And how long until a Marvel fan snitches on me?
Tune in today to find out and I wanted to thank you guys for the reviews and support. I appreciate it and I am enjoying the comments you guys have left. Also thank you to my friend for his help as well and hope you are doing well my friend where you are at. Now, time for the disclaimer.
I don't own anything from Star Wars or the Power Rangers. I just own my OCs, while Tiberous was made by my friend. Enjoy the chapter everyone and hope you like this.
Knights Quest: Part One
Coruscant
It's been almost 24-hours since the fighting on Christophsis and so far, it's been the worse 24-hours of the life of the Power Rangers. Their defeat had been broadcast across the galaxy, which caused the people to panic. Many were now scared that someone worse than Damien would soon unleash that monster, Abomination on them.
Yes, the Rangers did send it running, but it wasn't enough to calm the galaxy. Even the politicians began feeling scared because of what happened. But, for once. Palpatine and Alexis worked to calm the people down. To reassure them that everything will be okay. That they will do whatever they can to keep the peace.
Even King Ronin offered to help the people of Christophsis rebuild. But this wasn't enough to calm the people down.
This caused an emergency meeting for all the Senators to talk about what they are going to do. In the meantime, the Jedi were all gathering together to discuss what they were going to do as well. Because of what happened they will have to halt their decision to pull out of the war. At least, until they are absolutely sure that the Power Rangers can handle this new threat.
The Council asked to speak with Obi-Wan to get an update of the Power Rangers and what Zane knows about Arachnia.
"According to Zane, General Arachnia was once one of Damien's most loyal generals. She had fought alongside Damien's other generals, Torus and Vampira. Leading his army across the galaxy and taking over," Obi-Wan shows the Council using a hologram to show Arachnia and what she has done. "She's incredibly smart, shifty, and dangerous. She even helped create much of Damien's monsters."
"If she's so loyal then why did she betray him?" Master Ki-Adi-Mundi asked.
Obi-Wan was just getting to that as he shows a hologram message. "During the war against Damien, Zane received some information that led to Damien's defeat. It was later revealed to be Arachnia. Why she did it, we don't know. But it appears she grew tired of obeying her master or perhaps wanted to be her own master. In any case, she was gone and Zane believed that Damien's followers found out."
"Apparently not," said Master Plo Koon.
"How certain are we that Damien is truly dead?" Master Luminara asked wondering if they found any proof to back these claims.
Obi-Wan turns to Master Shaak Ti as she was in the room in hologram form, much like some of the Council members. "I was on my way back to Kamino, when Master Yoda asked me to go to Rhen Var to se if what Arachnia said is true."
Master Shaak Ti shows her findings. The Council see what appears to be a hidden base with what appears to be a field of destroyed robots. Upon closer inspection they see the robots resemble Damien's robots. They also see a video that leads to a hidden facility inside the mountains.
There they found what was left of a throne room along with a large hole in the mountain wall. "While we could not find a body, Zane had sent a drone to assist us in finding Damien's DNA. He managed to find some dried blood and was able to confirm it was Damien's. The blood led to another part of the mountain and towards a debris of rocks, which appeared to have come from the mountain."
"Most likely it was blasted with enough force to cause the rocks to come down on whatever was in its path," said Obi-Wan as he theorizes what Zane told him. "The drone scanned the area and indeed found what appears to be a body buried deep inside. Thanks to Zane's help, we concluded the body belonging to Damien himself."
This caused the Jedi Council to remain silent so they can take in the information they have been given. Not only is Damien dead, but he was killed by this monster, Abomination. The same creature that was able to defeat the Power Rangers and damage their Zords. If Damien and the Power Rangers can't stop it then who can?
Obi-Wan though needed to speak up and bring up what Zane told him. "Zane did explain though that Damien's power was drained and was wounded during his fight against the Rangers. He doesn't believe Abomination could have destroyed him if he had any of his powers left."
"And yet this monster managed to hold his own against you and the other Rangers. Even with your combined power you couldn't destroy it," Master Kit Fisto replied.
"What about Zane?" Master Depa Billaba asked. "Is it possible his power could destroy the monster?"
Obi-Wan knew he would be asked this question, because he asked Zane the same thing before he left. "He believes he can. Pyramidis is far more powerful than any of our Zords. He believes he can destroy Abomination, but he's worried that's what Arachnia wants."
"What do you mean?" Master Saesee Tiin asked.
Obi-Wan explains that Zane believes Arachnia is trying to find the Command Center. She's hoping if Zane gets involved, she'll be able to track his energy signature back to where he is hiding. If she is successful, then she'll launch an invasion on the planet he is hiding on. This will allow her to not only finish off the Power Rangers but destroy Zane too.
"Zane will get involved if he has to, but only if he has to," Obi-Wan finished explaining.
"Hmm, the Zords. How damaged are they?" Master Yoda asked as he didn't get a response from Obi-Wan hinting that they are badly hurt. "Hmm, then a plan I assume Zane has, correct?"
Obi-Wan nods in response. "He knows that even if the did manage to fix the Zords somehow it won't be enough. So, he'll have to go with something he has been working on for a long time."
"What is it?" Master Windu asked.
Obi-Wan didn't know exactly what it is but was given a hint of the plan. "He plans to help the Rangers find a new power."
Meanwhile
At the Senate, Alexis is in her office after finishing going over another meeting about what happened. To say the defeat of the Power Rangers was bad is an understatement. It caused panic to spread across the galaxy, including on Coruscant. People running scared, worried another attack is coming, and these monsters will kill hem all.
It got so bad that she was forced to work with the old asshole to try calming the people down. She hated Palpatine and didn't like working with him. However, she had to swallow her pride and put aside her anger for the greater good. They needed to calm the people down and so far, it was working.
Unfortunately, a lot of the senators were worried another attack is imminent. They knew it and that's why they are worried what will happen. Luckily, her father was able to help calm them all down and remind them they are representing their people. If they start to panic, then they will fail their people.
She wishes she was able to have such a strong leadership like her father and able to command so much respect like him. This is why she is starting to reconsider becoming queen. But right now, she can't think about that. She needs to focus on helping continue calming the people down and hopefully the kids will find a way to destroy this new monster.
Nathan walked into the office, with Numa in his arms. "I have to say. I know the Senate has its chaotic moments, but this might be the worse one I've ever seen."
"You say that and yet it can get even worse," said Alexis as she stood up from her chair and goes to hug her daughter and husband. "Thanks for coming. I had assumed once you got Numa you were going to go see Padme."
"Planning to do it, but I wanted to try seeing if you'd like to come along to see her. She's been asking for you and wants to talk to you," said Nathan knowing Padme can't contact Alexis directly to her office since they don't want anyone tracing the call to where she is at. "She saw what happened and is worried for the others."
"You did tell her they're okay, right?" Alexis asked as she takes her daughter and helps set her down on the sofa. "I mean, I know physically they are fine, but…how are they mentally?"
Nathan sighed as he rubs the back of his head. "They're not taking it well. I mean, its one thing to lose a fight, but to lose in front of the entire galaxy and watch their Zords get badly hurt. That's a lot to handle."
Alexis sighed knowing how strong a bond the others are with their Zords. "Despite not being a Ranger for so long, I can still feel the connection between me and my old Zord. Hell, Bail felt it too and wanted to help them. But knowing there isn't much we can do made us both upset…"
It was frustrating for Alexis to watch her kids go out to fight and she can't do anything to help. She wanted to be by their side and help them when they are down.
Nathan walks over to his wife and embraces her for a hug. "I know…I wish I could do more to help them. Hell, I wish we did more to prepare them for struggles like these. But, the best we can do is be there for them and hopefully they'll come back from this. Not alone, but together."
"Somehow I feel like this is different," said Alexis knowing this isn't like before when they had to deal with more powerful foes.
"It may seem different, but we have to trust in them that they will overcome this obstacle too. That's all we can do," Nathan breaks the hug and kisses his wife before he smiles at her. "They can do this. We just have to believe in them."
Alexis smiled a little knowing Nathan is right. There isn't much they can do except believe in them and be there for support. She knows Nathan can't be the Green Ranger forever. So, they have to believe the kids will be able to save the day somehow.
The two feel Numa hugging them and looks up at her adoptive parents. "Do you think, they'll win?"
Alexis smiles for her daughter and nods. "Yes, they will win. We just have to keep supporting them and believe."
Numa smiled a little and is glad to hear that. She never doubted her siblings can win and save the day. She still worries for them and didn't want anything bad to happen to them. But if all they have to do is believe in them then that's what she'll do.
There came a knock on the door and Alexis can hear its from Bail. Alexis opens the door and sees their friend standing there.
"Sorry to interrupt you, but we're needed in the Senate floor," Bail explains there is going to be another meeting and they have to go.
Alexis sighed and turns to Nathan. "Listen, do you mind taking Numa to see Padme? I feel like she needs one of us there to comfort her."
Nathan nods in response as he picks up Numa in his arms. "I will, be careful, and I love you."
Alexis goes to her husband to give him a kiss on the lips and give Numa a kiss on the forehead. "I'll be okay. I love you both."
Numa gives her mom a hug and kisses her on the cheek. "I love you too, mommy."
Unknown Location
Meanwhile, in Dr. Vindi's hidden laboratory, the crazed scientist is seen in a large room. He appears to be injecting a green liquid inside a large container before setting the syringe on a nearby table. He begins muttering something in his people's language and was clearly upset. Upset that not only was his creation harmed but was harmed by the Power Rangers.
"How dare those brats harm my beautiful creation," said Dr. Vindi as he begins typing on his computer to see how his monster is doing. "They will pay for trying to destroy my creation. They will all pay for it dearly."
"Oh doctor, relax," said General Arachnia as she appears from the shadow of the ceiling as she uses her spider legs to help her walk along the walls. "You should be proud of the amazing work from your creation. Not only did it do exactly what we had hoped for. But it also brought fear to the galaxy. And such delicious fear it is."
"I don't care about that. What I care about is getting my revenge against the Jedi for ruining my plans and against the Power Rangers for destroying my creations," said Dr. Vindi who clearly didn't share the same enthusiasm as General Arachnia.
"And you will have your revenge. After our creation makes a full recovery," General Arachnia goes over to the container and looks inside to see Abomination inside recovering. "Tell me, how long before it is ready."
"Three days," Dr. Vindi replied as he keeps working on his computer.
General Arachnia goes over and slams her fist on the table breaking it. "What do you mean, three days?!" she asked angrily as she grabs the doctor and slams him against the wall. "You can't seriously tell me it took a hit that badly from the Power Rangers. Right?!"
She slammed the good doctor against the wall as he fixes his goggles and responds calmly. "Perhaps if you told me more about the kind of power these Rangers possess then I would have prepared our creation for the kind of attack it took. Not to mention the other injuries it took. It will take two days at most to recover from and a day to upgrade its armored skin."
"I cannot wait for three days you fool," said General Arachnia as she drops Vindi on the floor and walks over to the container. "The old man wants us to finish the Power Rangers off and destroy whatever hope is left in the galaxy. I told him it would be ready by tomorrow. Not two or three days. So, you better get working fast before…"
"Before what? You will kill me?" Dr. Vindi fixes his collar and walks over to his computer. "May I remind you that Darth Sidious put me in charge of creating our monster army? May I also remind you that he has forbidden you from trying to kill me? Since we both know you do not possess the power needed to create what he is asking for. And how he trusts what I have to say more than you."
"What did you say?" General Arachnia asked as her talons extended and moves towards Vindi. "Choose your words carefully, Vindi. Otherwise I will…"
Suddenly she felt something beginning to choke her. She tried to breath but couldn't get any air in as she fell to the floor. Suddenly a hologram in the form of Darth Sidious appeared. Wearing his cloak, which covered much of his body.
"Careful, General Arachnia. It is you who needs to choose her words carefully," Darth Sidious frees Arachnia as she begins coughing loudly and begins taking in as much air as possible. "I have chosen Dr. Vindi in creating our monsters thanks to Damien. He took interest in the doctor and taught him how to create more monsters once he took over the galaxy. Of course, we know how that went for Damien. But I would hate for us to lose our monster creator and be left with nothing."
General Arachnia stood up as scowls at Sidious. "It's not like we need more. Abomination proved how powerful he is and how he will destroy our enemies wherever we sent it."
"And yet you were forced to have it retreat. It seems you underestimated the power of the Power Rangers," said Darth Sidious who was disappointed in Arachnia's failure.
General Arachnia growled a little and tried to calm herself down. "How was I supposed to know that those Rangers would merge three of the most powerful Zords together into one? You never told me they did that before."
"Only because I'm not the one who said I was an expert of the Power Rangers," said Darth Sidious reminding Arachnia of what she told him. "You told me you know all about them, their power, and Zords. So, again this was your failure."
General Arachnia was about to respond, but she knew the old man is right. She did underestimate the Power Rangers and because of that they embarrassed her.
"However, I do agree. Three days is too long," Darth Sidious didn't want to give the Rangers too much time to recover. "Dr. Vindi, forget adding any more armor on the creature. Focus on its recovery and I will inform you where to send it. We need to strike more fear to the galaxy, and I have a few ideas where to send our beast. In the meantime, Arachnia, I want you to find out where Senator Amidala is hiding."
"Why? What's your interest in this one senator?" General Arachnia asked wondering what's so special about her.
"I sense a shift in the Force. I can sense a great power growing somewhere in the galaxy, but I cannot see where it is coming from. But I sense it has something to do with Senator Amidala. And why the Jedi are doing all they can to hide her from me," said Darth Sidious who suspects whatever this power is could give him what he needs to destroy the Jedi for good.
Arachnia didn't see any harm in doing this and figured it would be an easy job. "And if I do find her? What do you want me to do?"
"Bring her to me…alive," said Darth Sidious.
Endor
Meanwhile, Jake, Barriss, Rick, Rachel, and Lux are seen in the Command Center after they were brought back here by Zane., They were taken to the infirmary to be checked on by Alpha to make sure they weren't injured. All while Zane began working on the Dinozords. To say they were badly damaged was an understatement.
They were to the point that if they hadn't brought the Zords as soon as they did then they would have been destroyed. Not even Zane would have been able to bring them back. So, he did all he could to keep them alive. Of course, this meant he would have to draw some power elsewhere.
So, he drew on power from the Command Center and even his own Gold Zeo power. Just enough to help the Zords.
Meanwhile, the five Rangers were all cleared of any injuries and were now waiting for Zane. Nathan and Obi-Wan went back to Coruscant to inform the Council of what is going on. All while Ahsoka joined her friends to comfort them. Of course, it didn't help that they were watching what was going on through the Viewing Globe.
They could see the panic going on in the galaxy and watch how their loss caused people to lose hope again. For the Rangers, they were just watching how much they failed to stop the monster and got their Zords badly hurt. Lux sat in a chair nearby watching the Viewing Globe with Rachel standing nearby. Rick on the floor with Barriss as she held his hand, while he looks up at the ceiling deep in his thoughts.
And Jake is watching the Viewing Globe nearby with his arms crossed.
Ahsoka was nearby watching her friends looking depressed. She didn't need to use the Force to sense their feelings. She could see it and she couldn't blame them. They all believed with Damien gone that everything would go their way.
That nothing that they come across can stop them if they worked together. They brought hope to the galaxy and made people feel hope again. But now? If feels like they didn't just fail themselves and their Zords, but they failed the galaxy.
Ahsoka though knew watching their failure isn't going to help them. So, she walks over and turns off the Viewing Globe.
"Listen, I know what you are all going through. We failed…its not the first time that has happened and it won't be the last. But we continue letting what happen consume us then we'll never come back from it. We need to talk about this and try getting through it together."
"Easier said than done," said Rick as he turns to his friend. "I mean, we didn't just get our butts kicked. We got it kicked in front of the whole galaxy."
"He's right," said Lux as he spoke up next. "When we lost a fight, it wasn't with so many people who believed in us and had hope. Our Zords also didn't get this badly damaged like before."
"They were in so much pain," said Barriss as she looked down at the floor. "I can still feel it. They are hurting and we couldn't do anything to stop it."
Ahsoka goes to her friend and kneels in front of her. "I know. I felt the pain my Tigerzord felt as well. But I'm sure they wouldn't want us to give up. Not after all we've been through."
"Yeah, but there's no telling how long it will take for our Zords to get fixed," Rachel spoke up next as she walks over to Ahsoka. "And even when they do get fixed, that monster will return. How long do you think it will take before Arachnia sends that Abomination to another galaxy? We won't be there to help you guys again and I doubt she'll let you guys merge your Zords together."
Ahsoka stood up and faces Rachel. "Maybe your right. Maybe we might get our asses kicked, but it doesn't mean we won't keep fighting. And you know why?"
"Why?" Rachel asked as she crossed her arms.
"Because you guys taught me to never give up hope, no matter what," Ahsoka replied causing most of the others to be taken aback by what she said. "You all could have given up, but you didn't. Even against all odds you didn't give up. Not just on defeating an enemy, but to help a friend, and protect those you love. The Power Rangers aren't quitters, so don't start quitting now."
The Rangers knew Ahsoka is right. Yes, they have been in some tough shit before. This one is worse, but it didn't mean they should give up now. Not when there are still people who need them.
They need them now more than ever. They have to keep on fighting and do whatever they can to help keep the people safe. It won't be easy, but then again nothing they do is easy. But they have to try.
"Ahsoka is right," said Jake as he walks over to his teammates. "We've been here before and it sucks. It's never fun to lose, especially when we let so many down, but it doesn't mean we should give up. Not when the people need us more than ever. And I bet our Zords wouldn't want us to give up either."
Rachel sighed softly. "I don't want to give up either. I want to help, but that this isn't like the Cerberus Ranger. It's the combination of two of the most powerful monsters we ever fought."
"And yet they're both dead, right?" Jake asked as he got no response from the others knowing that is true. "You guys killed Torus, while our own little sister killed Vampira, and together we defeated some of the toughest monsters that Damien has thrown at us. We even defeated Damien as well."
"Granted it was with Arachnia's help," the others turn to Rick as he clears his throat. "But Jake is right, we did overcome a lot of odds together. But, this does feel a little different."
"It isn't," Ahsoka replied. "It's still the same, except instead of Damien, we're facing Arachnia and her monster. The odds are stacked against us, but they've always been against us from the beginning."
Barriss couldn't disagree with what, but she still was worried about what will happen if they fail. "But what if this time we don't win? I don't want to lose any or you."
"And you won't," said Jake as he placed his hand on Barriss' shoulder before turning to the others. "No matter what, we'll always watch each other's back, we will fight together, and we will win."
Rachel smiled a little and begins speaking up. "So many lives have been lost in this war. All for power, greed, and control. When we got involved, we managed to not only give the galaxy hope again, but we gave the people something to believe in. Believe that there is still some good in this galaxy and we gave it to them."
Rachel knows that giving up is not an option, especially with how many people look up to them "Jake, Ahsoka, you are both right. We can't give up. If we give up, then the people will lose all hope and we can't let that happen. No matter what, we'll stop Arachnia and we will win…somehow."
Jake could see the others were starting to feel hopeful and knew his sister is right. "What do you say guys? You still like fighting?"
Ahsoka and Rachel were clearly onboard with Jake to keep on fighting. But they had to see what the others will say.
Lux gave a small smile and then a small chuckle. "I'm sure if Steela or my mother were here, they'd tell me to not give up. Keep on fighting and stand by with your friends," he begins to nod his head and then let's out a small sigh. "I'll fight."
Rick sighed softly as he still has some doubts about still fighting without their Zords, but he knew better than to leave his friends to fight on their own. "Well shit, I can't let you all have the fun. I'll fight."
The others soon turn to Barriss who was still unsure about this. She has lost so many friends and the idea of losing anymore would be too much for her. However, standing on the sideline while they fight without her is something she won't do. Not after all they've been through.
"I'll fight, but…how are we going to do it without our Zords? I can still sense they are badly hurt. We can't force them to fight again and we can't defeat Abomination without them," said Barriss knowing the odds of them winning is looking less likely.
The door opened and soon the others see Zane walking in with Alpha. "I may have the solution for that," said Zane as he walks over to the others. "But first, I assume you want to know the condition of the Zords?"
"Other than what Barriss said? Yeah, how badly are we talking?" Lux asked.
Alpha steps forward and begins explaining everything. "The good news is, Zane managed to use the Command Center, Gold Zeo Power and Pyramidas to help save the Zords. But the bad news is, they are too badly damaged to be able to help them recover. Even if we did find a way to help return them to full power, Zane has calculated that the Dino Megazord, even with the Ultrazord…can't defeat Abomination."
The six Rangers look on shocked by this revelation. They thought Zane may have made a mistake and he's wrong about this. However, Zane shows a hologram image of Abomination and managed to get some of its DNA during the fight. The design for this creature is extraordinary and shows why their weapons won't be able to kill it.
"Son of…okay, so what do we do? I mean, you did say you have a solution, right?" Rick asked wondering what Zane's plan is.
Zane sighed as he clears his throat. "Yes, I um do have a plan, but it is rather risky and…it involves another secret I've kept from you all."
The six Rangers all let out a loud groan with Zane revealing he has kept another secret from them.
"Zane! Why do you insist of keeping things from us?" Barriss asked who didn't like that Zane is still doing this.
"Yeah, I thought you were fine with telling us the full truth?" Rachel asked, upset like the others about Zane doing this again.
Ahsoka nods in agreement. "Zane, I know you have your reasons to keep your secrets. We get it, but after keeping the whole Cerberus Ranger origin and how you were friends with Damien, we thought you would finally trust us enough to tell us the truth."
Zane sighed softly knowing Ahsoka is right. "I know and you all have a right to be angry at me for keeping more secrets from you. But please understand, this one I was sworn to keep a secret until the time was right. I couldn't tell you before because I didn't think things would get this bad. But now they have."
Jake too was angry, but he kept his cool and tried to calm the situation down. "Okay, so what's this secret? Do you have a hidden power in the morphing room that can help us stop Abomination?"
Zane crossed his arms and shook his head. "No, none of the morphers in the morphing room have the power that can stop this monster."
"All except the Cerberus Morpher, but he is worried it might be too strong for any of you to use," Alpha replied as he spoke up. "I don't agree with this idea he has, but it seems we're out of options."
Zane nods in agreement as he walks over and sits down before he motions for the Rangers to sit down on the floor. So, they did and wait to hear what this big secret is.
"Long ago, my mother told the story of where she came from to my siblings and I. She told us about her home, how peaceful it was, and how it was threatened by a great evil. That was until a group of brave knights not only defeated the darkness but saved their world. However, there was fear that evil would return and seek the power my mother possessed,"
Zane then showed the planet Eltar, before it was invaded by Damien and much of it destroyed. "My mother and her people colonized this world. It was here she fell in love with my father Zordon and they build a family together."
As nice as the story sounds, it didn't seem to give the Rangers the answer they were looking for. So, Barriss began clearing her throat and spoke.
"That is a nice story, Zane. But what does this have to do with finding what we need to stop Abomination?"
"Well, after the war, my sister took off with some of our people to the galaxy where our mother came from. Only my sister knew where it was since I asked my mother not to tell me out of fear Damien would have found out," Zane knew his sister would have kept the secret better than he did.
"Zane also feared any of Damien's allies find out about this world then it would be bad. Their people have through so much and they deserve to have some peace," said Alpha knowing how important the people were to Zane and his family.
"That makes sense," said Ahsoka. "I'm sure any of us would do the same thing."
Jake nods in agreement before turning to Zane. "So, what happened next?"
Zane sighed as he continued. "After the war, I took Damien to this universe to be sealed away. After that, I began working on building the Command Center here when I received a message from my sister. She told me where the planet is from and how she can help me get the power I need to help properly restore the Power Coins. The same ones you Rangers use now."
It was then the Rangers begin to realize where this story is going.
"So, you plan to call your sister to help us out, right?" Jake asked as he gets a small nod from Zane. "Awesome, where is she? Do we have to open a portal to another universe or something?"
Zane summons his staff and uses its power to help reveal this planet. It looks like Almora, except a little smaller in size and with two moons. The Ranges look on in amazement when they saw the planet and how beautiful it looks.
"This world is called…Gaia. And its location is actually beyond the Unknown Region," Zane replied.
It was then the six Rangers turn to Zane with a shocked look on their face. They see the image of the planet is gone and instead they see where its location is at. Showing how it is within their own universe. And beyond a part of the galaxy that hasn't been mapped by the Jedi.
"In fact, I am now convinced that this planet, based on those pictures the girls found on Felucia…is the home world of the original Power Rangers."
"S-say what?!" Jake, Rachel, and Rick replied in unison, while their friends just look on surprised.
"Wait a minute. Are you sure? I mean, there has to be an explanation for this, right?" Lux asked unsure about all this since it didn't make sense.
"The people on Felucia didn't think so, but Zane, if what you say is true then why didn't you tell us this before? If such a power existed that could help us, then why didn't you tell us this when we fought the Cerberus Ranger?" Barriss asked knowing if the planet has the power, they are looking for then why keep it from them for so long.
"Because I wasn't sure if you were ready," said Zane as he sees Alpha staring at him knowing what he wanted him to tell the others. "And it's also dangerous."
"Dangerous? What do you mean?" Rick asked wondering what else they're hiding from them.
Zane knew the Rangers deserve to hear the truth and so he tells them everything. "The power that I believe can help you defeat Abomination is not easy to gain. My sister told me that whoever seeks it must go through a dangerous trial to prove you deserve its power. Many have tried this, and many have failed. The reason why that is was mostly because those who took the trial couldn't work together."
"Teamwork is the key to pass the trial," Alpha continued for Zane. "The ones who take it must be able to work together, look out for one another, and prove themselves together. We weren't sure if you were already like you're the others before you."
"Th-they weren't ready either?" Rachel asked surprised to hear this.
Alpha nods in response. "They were a good team, but their bond wasn't as strong the bond you all have together. You have been through more struggles, challenges, and hardships together. You have all proven yourselves and Zane believes you are ready. However, I'm still not sure about this since it's too dangerous."
"Well, I say we take the risk and go get this power together," said Ahsoka.
"I'm afraid for right now, you will need to sit this one out Ahsoka. This is their trial they must take," said Zane as he explains why to the confused Jedi. "My sister told me only five can take this trial. Besides, I'll need your help along with Nathan and Obi-Wan to hold off against Abomination until the others get back."
Ahsoka looked upset that she couldn't go with her friends, but she knew Zane is right. Her Tigerzord wasn't as damaged as the others were. She also can't leave Obi-Wan and Nathan to fight that monster alone either. If they run into any trouble, then they'll need her.
"I understand. When will they need to go?" Ahsoka asked.
"As soon as possible. But I still think the Rangers should think about this before they go," said Alpha who didn't want to risk the safety of the Rangers. "Zane, you know that we only have enough power to teleport them to the planet. Unless they can pass the trial and gain the power then they won't be able to come back."
The Rangers look on a little shocked when they heard this bit of news. If they fail, they won't be able to get back home? Maybe Alpha is right? Maybe they should think about this before they agree to go.
"But if this trial will help us get the power, we need to help our Zords and help us defeat Abomination…shouldn't we try?" Lux asked knowing it is risky and there is a chance they might not come back. But if they don't do this then they won't be coming back at all if they fight Abomination again.
Jake nods his head in agreement knowing Lux is right. "If this is the only way to save the people and keep them safe…then let's do it."
Rachel smiles and agrees with her brother. "We knew taking this job there'd be a lot of risks. This isn't any different."
Rick sighed softly as he rubs the back of his head. "Oh, what the hell? I can't let you all go off without me and get into some trouble. I'm in."
Barriss could sense her friends are worried about this mission and what will happen if they don't come back. But she also knows what will happen if they don't go and how many lives will be lost. It is their duty to protect the innocent and keep the peace. She can't do that if they fail.
"Sounds like everyone is in agreement. I'm in too," said Barriss agreeing to go.
Jake turns to Zane and sighed a little. "Can you do us a favor and tell everyone where we're going? And tell mom not to worry about us?"
Zane chuckled a little and nods in response. "I'll do my best to keep her from going off after you all."
Jake chuckled a little as Alpha goes to the Rangers to give them something. "When you arrive, tell them Zane send you all, show them your morphers, and tell them you wish to see Gabriella. Zane's sister, so you can take the trials."
Jake nods before Ahsoka walks up to him. "Promise me you and the others won't do anything crazy till we get back?"
Ahsoka gave a small chuckle and smiles. "I was about to say the same thing to you. Just be careful, look out for one another, and…I love you."
Jake leans in and gives Ahsoka a small kiss on the lips, which she returned. Rick grasps Barriss' hand to reassure her they will be okay. While Lux does the same with Rachel. Once the kiss breaks, Jake smiles at his girlfriend and chuckled.
"I love you too," said Jake as he begins backing away to join the others as Alpha begins preparing to teleport them all to Gaia.
"Guys," Ahsoka called out to the others to get their attention. "Good luck to you all and may the Force be with you all."
"And may the power protect you as well," said Zane as he and Ahsoka wish them luck.
The five Rangers nod as they are soon teleported out of the Command Center. As five glowing red, yellow, blue, pink, and black lights are beamed towards the planet of Gaia. All while Zane, Ahsoka, and Alpha look on. Ahsoka looks down and lets out a small sigh.
"Do you really think they'll succeed?" Ahsoka asked.
Zane nods in response and placed a hand on her shoulder. "They have been through so much and despite the odds stacked against them they always find a way to win. So, yes. I do believe they will succeed. And they will return to help bring hope back to the galaxy."
It looks like things are just getting started. Yeah, that's right. Zane has a sister and she is the one who will help the Rangers get the power they need. Think they'll be able to get it in time before things go to hell?
Also, just to let you all know…no there will be no Thunderzords. I thought about it long ago, but I wanted to try something new. Give the Zords a new power and let it different from the old Zords. If you've been reading the story, then you can see the differences.
Anyways, the Rangers are now off to gain this new power. Will they be able to pass the trials in order to gain the new power? Will they make it back in time before Arachnia unleashes her beast? Will they get some help when they arrive?
Tune in next time to find out. Also, I want to thank everyone for the support for the last chapter. I appreciate it and I appreciate the support for my stories too. I want to thank my friend as well for his help on the story and for what we have in store for all of you later on.
