Here we go with chapter 16 (Chapter 93) of season two. I hope everyone is doing all right and everything is okay where you guys are at. Thanks again for the reviews from the last chapter. I appreciate it guys and glad you're all enjoying this.
I'm glad the sequel is going and happy to see the ideas I've had build up from last year being used now. Today's chapter is something I've been working out with my friend, who I thank a lot for this. Very supportive and I appreciate the ideas my friend has given me. Looking forward to how they'll go for the future.
Now, last time we saw our heroes trying to liberate the planets of Teth and Tatooine. While also preparing to go up against the monsters that General Arachnia has ready to unleash on them. Will they be ready for it? Will they be able to stop them?
And when will the sixth knight reveal themselves?

The Sixth Knight Part V
Teth
Barriss and her forces managed to make it close to the shield, before hiding their Walkers under the thick trees. Trying to prevent the enemy from shooting at them. The Power Rangers, meanwhile, used their Zords to help focus the enemy's turrets on them. Their attacks didn't harm the Zords, which was a good thing. However, it won't take the enemy long to figure out what they're doing and redirect their attack on the Walkers.
Barriss has her Clones get some cover, while looking up at the mountain. She could see once they get through the shield, they'll need to make the climb up the mountain. She got word from the others that Jake is fighting against General Arachnia's monster. Once the shield is down, they'll need to go help him.
Barriss understood and knows they'll need to focus on the mission at hand.
The Separatist soon begin firing their turrets down at the Zords, which didn't work, just as the others figure it wouldn't. However, they know it won't be long till the fog clears up and the enemy figures this out too. So, they need to hurry.
"Ahsoka, where's your position?" Barriss asked wondering how far till Ahsoka gets to her destination.
"Almost there. We just ran into some of their defenses," said Ahsoka through the com-link, while blasters can be heard being fired in the background. "Give us five minutes."
Barriss looks up at the fog and knew that isn't going to work. "Ahsoka, you'll need to hurry. We need to get the Walkers to the mountain before the turrets can open fire on them."
"I understand. I'll figure something out. In the meantime, just keep them focused off the Walkers. Once the shield is down, have the others go help Jake," said Ahsoka knowing he's still fighting that monster. "I don't want him fighting the monster on his own."
"I'll let them know. Just please hurry," said Barriss as she reassures her friend she'll pass on the message, as she let's Rick know first. "Rick, you and the others okay?"
"We're fine. Don't worry about us," said Rick inside his Zord as it stays near the Walkers and deflects most of the blasts. "Just waiting for Ahsoka to shut the damn shield off. How's that going?"
"Its going," said Barriss knowing Ahsoka is doing the best she can. "Listen, once the shield does go down, Ahsoka wants you all to go help Jake. My Zord will join you all in case you need it."
"If we end up needing to use the Megazord, then possibly. But I think we'll be fine in this case," said Rick who knew they wanted to try something out. "Barriss, focus on getting your men up the mountain. Don't worry about us, okay?"
Barriss looks up to Rick's Zord and knows he's right. Yes, she's worried about her friends and wants to help them, but she has a job to do. She has to keep her men safe and make sure they make it through this mission alive. She's a leader right now and needs to lead.
"Just don't do anything reckless please. I know you all," said Barriss as she sees the fog has finally begun to dissipate.
Just as it did, she saw the shield beginning to shut off. She knew this is their chance and begins ordering her men to get up the mountain.
The Clones begin moving out and get the Walkers out of the range of the turrets. The Droid army doesn't understand what happened to the shield, but see the enemy is now climbing up the mountain. They ordered the turrets to concentrate their fire on the Walkers. Before they could do, Rachel fired a powerful arrow blast at the edge of where the enemy is at.
The blast took out a few of the turrets around the area where she fired. This distracted the enemy, while allowing the Clone army to get their Walkers out of range. Barriss soon makes her way on one of the tanks, before ordering her men to move up. The Walkers begin making the climb, while the rest of the Clones, fire cables up to the side of the mountain.
They begin climbing up the mountain, which caused the Droid army to send down their Spider Droids to intercept them. They send down with them some Super Battle Droids and some Droids on their speeder bikes to attack the enemy. The Clones opened fire as both sides begin to attack. The Spider Droids opened fire and tried to shoot down the Walkers.
One got hit and begins to lose its balance, but Barriss used the Force to keep it from falling off. Calling on her own powers from her morpher, she begins pulling the vehicle back in place. She then turns to the droids and begins using the Force to leap up towards them. She fires a cable, which pierces one of the Spider Droids and connects to the wall behind it.
She then charges up as the enemy now focuses its fire on her. Barriss moves her hand behind her back and pulls out to the surprise of her Clones, a second lightsaber. This one igniting yellow as she charges up at the enemy. Deflecting their attacks and slashes through some of them.
The Clones, not wanting to be left out of the fun, begin targeting the Droids that are focused on their general. Even the Walkers begin firing at the enemy forces on the higher part of the mountain. Taking them down and shortening their number. Barriss sees this and smiles proudly at her soldiers for taking down the enemy forces.
She rushes up and takes down more of the Spider Droids. Even fires another cable to go higher and avoid two of the Spider Droids from firing at her from both sides. This resulted in the two Droids taking each other out. Barriss continued to slash away at the enemy, while thankful that Ahsoka and Zane taught her how to fight with dual lightsabers.
Not something she had considered before and focused on using only one. However, with her new powers, she was now using two swords. So, she needed to get used to using two of them for battle, even as a Jedi. Thankfully, her training has paid off.
Barriss managed to take down the last of the droids before she turns to her forces. Still making their way up, but she knew if more Droids try to climb down, she'll take them out before they have a chance to attack. She looks over to see the others have taken off to help Jake. She's glad they did this and now can focus on taking out the rest of the enemy forces.
She just wonders if Ahsoka is okay and if she'll join her in the fight or go off to help Jake.
*A few minutes earlier*
Meanwhile, Ahsoka and her team made their way deep inside of the fortress, where the enemy had been holding up in. Most of the main forces are in the courtyard, preparing to counterattack the Republic forces. The fog was disappearing soon and Ahsoka knows they have to hurry to shut down the shield. After they take down the shield, they'll help retake this facility from the enemy.
They just need to get through these Droids, which is easier said than done. They ran into a large group of Droids, which are standing in their way. Six Droideka droids protecting the rest of the enemy behind them with their shield generator. Keeping Ahsoka and her Clones from getting a good shot in at the others.
They took cover around the corner and tried to find a way to take out the enemy, but they weren't making it easy. And Ahsoka knows this is taking way too long.
"Ahsoka, where's your position?" Barriss asked through Ahsoka's com-link.
Ahsoka begins to respond, while deflecting the enemy's blasters. "Almost there. We just ran into some of their defenses. Give us five minutes."
Ahsoka knows at this rate, its going to take more than five minutes. But she wanted to give her friend a reassuring number.
"Ahsoka, you'll need to hurry. We need to get the Walkers to the mountain before the turrets can open fire on them," Barriss replied knowing they don't have a lot of time.
Ahsoka knows this is bad and needs to come up with a plan, while also worried about Jake. "I understand. I'll figure something out. In the meantime, just keep them focused off the Walkers. Once the shield is down, have the others go help Jake. I don't want him fighting the monster on his own."
"I'll let them know. Just please hurry," said Barriss as she finishes their conversation to contact the others.
Ahsoka now is on the clock and has to get to the shield before it runs out. "Rex, please tell me there's another way to the shield generator."
"R9 is working on it," said Captain Rex as he opens fire at the enemy, which just keeps on coming. "If you've got a crazy idea, general. Now would be the time to use it."
Ahsoka did have a crazy idea, but she knows she can't try it with the others around. Luckily for her, she looks up to see some cracks in the ceiling. Just near where the Droid army are positioned. She just needs to lure them closer. She turns to Rex and gives him a hand sign on what she plans to do.
Captain Rex sees the ceiling and knows what she's going to do is reckless, but knows they have to try it. He gives a small nod and tells the others the plan. Once they know it, Ahsoka gets from behind the wall and used the Force to pull the Droideka droids forward, but just enough to have the other Droids follow them.
She then begins deflecting their attacks, while the other Clones rush to join her. Activating their shield and block the blasters from the Droideka attacks. The Droids were now moving forward as they saw their enemies now coming out from behind their cover. So, they believe they have the advantage and will wipe them out.
Ahsoka knew they needed to get a little closer before she could make her move. She'll need to be fast and avoid getting shot, while she gets out of the way. Once she saw the enemy in position, she took a deep breath and made her move. She leaps over her men but got grazed in the legs by the Droideka blaster shots.
Ahsoka falls behind the men and winced in pain as she feels the burn from where she got grazed. Captain Rex sees this and goes to check on her, but Ahsoka motions for him to stay with the others. Have the line stay together and not break down. Rex hesitates for a moment, before he does so and rejoins his brothers.
Ahsoka knows this pain is going to slow her down a little, but she fights through it and begins calling on the Force. To help break the ceiling above the enemy and crush them. Ahsoka tries to make sure the debris will fall only on the droids, while keeping the crack from spreading over to them. She didn't want to risk the debris falling on top of them and kill them.
Ahsoka managed to finally cause enough cracks for the ceiling to begin coming down. Captain Rex calls on his men to fall back, before he picks up Ahsoka and they run away from the falling debris. The Droid army see this and try to fall back but got crushed by the debris and got many of them destroyed.
Those that survived tried to regroup and recover from what had happened. The Clone soldiers didn't give them a chance to recover and begin opening fire. Taking down the remaining droids and get a clear opening to where the shield generator is at. Ahsoka meanwhile, is placed against the wall, so that one of the medics can check on her injuries.
Captain Rex goes over to Ahsoka to see how she's doing. "You all right, general?"
Ahsoka nods in response as she slowly got to her feet, while the Clone medic helps with her injuries. "Rex, take the men and destroy the shield generator. We don't have much time left."
Captain Rex understood and begins leading the others to join him. They rush towards the room, where they see its defended by some Battle Droids. They begin shooting them down, while Rex has Jesse and Fives go set up the charges. The Droids tried to shoot down the two Clones, but Fives and Jesse managed to avoid getting shot.
They begin planting the charges on the shield generator and set it for only ten seconds. Captain Rex is informed of the timer and calls for everyone to fall back. The Clones all begin to retreat, while the remaining Droids tried to stop the countdown. The Clones managed to get a good safe distance, before the charges detonated.
A large explosion shook the entire facility, even blew a large hole to the side of the monastery. The plan worked though as the shield generator is soon shut down. Ahsoka knows that Barriss and her men will be making their move to make the climb up the mountain. While she also knows the enemy will be aware of what happened and attack them.
"Rex, I want us to fall back to a defensive position and let's try cutting their forces in half. We'll lure half of them inside, while the other half will be taken out by Barriss' forces," said Ahsoka as she explains her plan.
Captain Rex understands and with the general's knowledge of the building, they can lure out some traps. "You got it, general. All right, boys. Let's get this place ready."
"Yes sir!" said the Clones in unison before they begin going to set up the charges they have and begin setting up around the area.
As they did this, Ahsoka looks back at where they came from and is hoping Jake will be okay. She knows he's capable of holding his own, especially with his new powers. But something about that monster and what it did to one of her men made her worry. She just hopes he'll play it smart and won't do anything reckless.
*A few minutes earlier*
Jake using his Battlizer to fly and dodge the mosquito monster's attacks. The two have been flying in the air for their fight as the monster tries to take the Red Power Ranger down. Jake though was able to avoid the monster's attacks and even get some hits in. Not enough to take it down, but he wasn't trying to hit it with all he has.
He was just grazing it to find a weakness and so he can take it down. The monster grew impatient that it wasn't getting a hit, so it charges at Jake once more. Jake sees this and summons his shield to block its needle attack from piercing him. His shield stopped it, but it didn't shatter the needle.
Damn, this thing has a strong nose, he thought as he tries to keep it from pushing him back. The monster grabs Jake's shield and sends him flying towards the mountain. Jake sees where he's heading, but he managed to stop himself from hitting the mountain. He looks over to see the monster flying towards him, but Jake fires a red energy blast from his suit's chest, which sends the monster flying towards the platform.
Jake flies down and sees his attack seems to have harmed the monster, but not enough to defeat it. "My mistress warned me about how strong you Power Rangers are. She couldn't believe at how powerful you had all become," said the monster as he made small buzzing sounds while speaking.
"My mistress is very curious to know how this is possible. Did Zane have such a power? That was possible, since Zordon always seem to have more power to give to the Rangers when they were in danger. But she doubts that very much," said the monster, before it looks right at Jake, with its glowing eyes. "She knows if he had such a power, he would have given it to you a long time ago."
"How about you have your mistress show herself and we'll tell her in person? Since you won't be around long to tell her anyways," said Jake as he kept his guard up, knowing this thing is up to something.
The monster begins to laugh before it stood up and shows its sharp claws. "That's my line, Power Ranger. But have it your way. If you do not wish to tell her, then you will die, along with your comrades. For I, Ka, am your reckoning and I will be the one to end you, Red Ranger."
So, his name is Ka, huh? Jake knew this thing is definitely up to something. Otherwise, he wouldn't still be so confident in his chances of fighting him. He better keep his guard up and make sure he doesn't try anything funny.
"I'd be careful if I were you. I'm not so easy to take down," said Jake as he grips his weapon tightly, while holding his shield.
Ka simply laughs before his back begins to glow and red liquid begins pouring into the side of his body. "We shall see, Red Ranger."
The monster's body begins bulking up and he begins to grow a bit in size. Jake took notice of this and knew this isn't a good sign. The monster soon charges in and Jake barely had time to block his attack with his shield. The monster though used both his claws and comes down to slash at his foe.
Jake took the hits and is knocked back, while yelling in pain. The monster saw his chance and fires a singular red beam from its needle. Hitting the Red Ranger and sending him flying towards the wall. Crashing through it and causing debris to fall on him.
Ka begins laughing evilly as he saw the debris crushing the poor Red Ranger. "I told you! I told you I was your reckoning, Red Ranger! I told you that I would destroy you and now you are defeated! Soon, your comrades will fall and so will the rest of your allies."
Ka begins walking towards the debris as he continued to laugh. "Maybe when I find that little Jedi friend of yours, I'll…"
Suddenly a sword pierced through the debris and cuts across the monster, causing it to yell in pain. Ka backs away and saw he was bleeding. To his surprise, he sees the Red Ranger emerge from the debris. Appearing fine and not a scratch on him, which left Ka confused on how this was possible.
"That was close. It's a good thing my wings protected me from your attack. Otherwise, I might have gotten knocked out," said Jake who is thankful his wings blocked the attack at the last second. They weren't damaged, which was good, but the attack did weaken his Battlizer, so he'll need to lay off it for a little while till it recovers. "Now, what was that about going after my friends?"
Jake's body begins to glow as he begins drawing on his powers, which seems to terrify Ka. The mosquito monster was not expecting this at all. How is it the Power Rangers have grown this strong? This is not possible.
Ka stood up and begins to power up again as he growls softly, while clenching its clawed fists. He cannot lose to the Power Ranger. He will defeat this punk for his master. And he will not fail her.
Endor
Nathan, Gabriella, and Alpha watched on what was going on the two different worlds the Power Rangers are at. Nathan is proud to see how the kids are doing and how well they're holding their own. While shocked at how Zane was able to take down the five Krayt Dragons on his own. He knew he was powerful, but he was still shocked and amazed at how well he did in his fight.
This was the moment though that the Republic needed to now make their move to take control over Tatooine. They watched the Republic forces now heading towards the palace and factory. He wishes he could be there to join in the fight, but he knew since he retired, he couldn't. With Zane down there though, he knew they didn't need any help at all.
Gabriella is just glad to see her brother hasn't been slacking off. "So far, it seems that Zane is doing well on his mission. I'm surprised the Silver Ranger didn't try getting involved."
"He can't," said Nathan as he explains why. "He's one of the Jedi involved on the mission. He can't reveal that he's one of the Power Rangers, which might end up risking exposing Ahsoka and Barriss."
"Both of which are Jedi as well," Gabriella does recall Barriss revealing she's one of the Jedi Knights, while her friend Ahsoka is a Jedi too. "That's good. I remember a time when our enemies knew the identities of the other Rangers. We're thankful they never went after family members, but it didn't mean someone like General Arachnia wouldn't do the same."
"That's why we do our best to protect their identities. It's why Ahsoka and Barriss couldn't transform during their fights," Alpha chimed in as he shows on the Viewing Globe what the others are doing. "I'm just glad the others made it in time to help them out."
Gabriella took a good look at the monster that Jake is fighting, which made her a little concern. "These monsters are not like the ones Damien used to use. This one looks…different."
Nathan nods in response. "We know. We believe that General Arachnia made them with the help of Count Dooku and his master. How she's doing it, we don't know, but Alpha mentioned she is an expert in bio-engineering?"
Gabriella moves her left hand up and moves it in a so-so motion. "Sort of. She has some knowledge of anatomy of all living creatures, but not on how to splice them together. However, she's very imaginative. With the right people, they can make her vision come to life & have it be down to how she wants it."
"But she can't make one on her own," said Alpha who is now suspecting someone that Count Dooku hired is helping General Arachnia. "I do wonder who it could possibly be that's helping her."
"Even if we did find out, it won't matter till we find their lab," said Nathan knowing there's nothing more they can do until…it was then Nathan realized something. "I guess, I should say until you guys figure out where their lab is at. Since, I can't really do much to help you after today."
Gabriella could tell that Nathan really does want to keep helping them, but also understands why he can't. He has done so much for the Power Rangers and deserves to retire. To spend time with those he loves. Without worrying that his next adventure will be his last.
"You've done all you can, Nathan. There is more that can be asked of you that you haven't already given," said Gabriella while she looks at the Viewing Globe to see the Power Rangers fight. "You've raised your children well, you taught them all to work together, and you helped prepare them for the future. And even though you retired, it doesn't mean you still can't help them out in other ways."
Nathan knew that was true. Even when his wife and Bail Organa had retired, they still offer any help they can to the kids. Heck, they even came out of retirement to help Jake. So, if the kids need him for anything, he'll do whatever he can to help them out and hopefully he won't get hurt in the process.
"Thanks, Gabriella. I am going to miss the adventures and saving the day, but at least I get to see these fights from a safe distance," said Nathan who is still amazed at how well Zane held his own in this fight. "Zane really is something else. He's on a league higher than any of us."
"It is rare for Zane to being to go out there and fight," said Alpha who too is enjoying seeing Zane in action. "I know he wishes he could be out there in battle with the other Rangers, but well he has his reasons."
"We know. I'm also tempted to even join in the fighting myself, but Zane is worried what will happen if General Arachnia finds out where I came from," Gabriella knows if General Arachnia found out, she'd launch an attack on their planet. "Maybe once we've taken down that cowardly spider, I'll join in this war and let loose."
Nathan chuckled softly knowing that if Zane is this strong, he wonders how strong his sister is. "I'm actually curious. Zane mentioned you and another brother are both older than him. Out of the three of you, who is the strongest?"
Gabriella begins to giggle softly when she was asked this question. Mostly because she already knew the answer to that. "Oh? That one is really easy…its me."
"R-Really?" Nathan asked who was surprised with how quick she replied and didn't seem to hesitate on it.
Alpha nods in agreement with Gabriella. "It's true. While it's true that Zane possesses the Gold Zeo Power, which is powerful enough on its own. Gabriella's magic and her morping powers made her even stronger than her brother. Maybe not enough to defeat Damien on her own, but it was her magic with her brother's that helped seal Damien and Astronema away. Keeping them from getting freed from their prison."
"Until the scientists of this world broke Damien's seal," said Nathan who knew that was a huge mistake on the part of his galaxy. "I'm just glad though we were able to stop him from harming anymore innocent lives."
"Agreed, but still, despite what had happened, I think it was meant to all happen," said Gabriella as she explains what she means. "While it's true that Damien's arrival here has caused a lot of harm to this galaxy, it's his arrival that caused my brother to bring back the Power Rangers. To help bring hope to the galaxy, during time of war and conflict. It's also because of this that lead to the Rangers to become a great team, free the knights, and led to Damien providing us a cure for Serenity. To help bring her back to this world and come back to her family."
Something that Gabriella couldn't wait for. She's looking forward to spending time with her niece and maybe even bring her back home. To show her the home world of her grandparents. And teach her the history of it all.
"I guess in a way, Damien's freedom led to some good things happening. Although, I'm sure Zane wishes it didn't end up with so many lives lost," said Alpha who knew the people that were killed by Damien and his followers were not exactly positive moments."
"Perhaps, but there's no doubt in my mind whether Damien was involved or not, this war would still have taken so many lives," and Gabriella sensed that more lives will be lost soon if they don't end this war. "I'll tell Zane this when I return, if he needs help in this war, to let me know. I will do my part in helping bring peace to the galaxy."
Nathan nods and will appreciate the added help. "Thank you, Gabriella," he sees something going on in the Viewing Globe on Tatooine and knew this wasn't good. "It looks like the enemy has revealed itself. I hope Zane will stay on his guard."
Tatooine
The Republic forces soon made their move in their attacks to help liberate the planet from the Separatist control. Master Windu went with the Tusken Raiders and his troops towards the Separatist droid factory. They know they have to destroy the factory to prevent more droids from being made and to deal with. While Master Kenobi, his soldiers, and the rebels of Tatooine join him to attack Jabba the Hutt's old palace.
They had waited till Zane took out the Krayt Dragons before they could make their move. Master Windu and Kenobi were not at all shocked with what they saw, but the rest of their soldiers were.
Still, the enemy's defenses had weakened and now was the time to strike. They had to deal with the anti-air guns turrets that were trying to shoot down their gunships. Luckily, they had Zane who ran over to the turrets and took them down. Master Kenobi was surprised with how much energy Zane had despite what he did.
It seems those Krayt Dragons were just the warm-up for him. Still, he only took down turrets to allow them to land. Zane made it clear he'll only further involve himself should General Arachnia's monster arrive. But the rest will be on the Jedi and their soldiers to handle on their own.
Master Kenobi sees Master Windu's forces heading towards the factory, while his ship lands near the palace. The Droid army open fire on their enemies, as the Clone soldiers and the rebel soldiers took cover behind some rocks. Master Kenobi deflects the blaster shots and orders the Gunships to shoot down some of the enemy forces before they take off. The Gunships targeted the heavy enemy forces and fired missiles at them.
This weakened their strength, which allowed Master Kenobi to charge right in. Taking down the Droids that got in his way and even used the Force to knock them away. Commander Cody and Kitster noticed this, before rallying their soldiers to push forward. They begin charging in at the enemy, who's focused had moved towards the Jedi Master.
Master Kenobi had counted on this and uses the Force to push the enemy back. Allowing his soldiers to get an opening and opened fire. Destroying more of the enemy, while also firing some missiles at the enemy near the entrance. The Droid army begin falling back and begin to lock the door down to keep them from breaking in.
The enemy begin activating their turrets they had set up and waited to use on the enemy when their forces were gone. However, Zane leaps over and used his Golden Staff to fire bolts of energy at the turrets. Destroying them and wiping out the last defense of the enemy. The Clones and rebel soldiers begin cheering loudly for this, knowing they're one step closer to victory.
Master Kenobi deactivated his lightsaber and approached Zane. "I thought you were going to wait to get involved again when General Arachnia's monster showed up."
Zane knows that was true but looks around and let's out a small sigh. "Yeah well, I thought I needed to knock a little louder to get that spider's attention. I guess maybe she decided not to waste any of her monsters on me."
Suddenly, the door begins to open as Zane and Obi-Wan look over to see someone coming out. The Clones and rebels all aim their weapons at whoever it is that decided to show themselves. Out from behind the door, stood a large eight-foot tall, muscular, beetle monster, with a long horn on his nose.
The monster steps out of the palace, which caused the Clones to back away. Master Kenobi ignites his lightsaber and stood guard, while Zane walks past him and stands across from the monster.
"I was hoping General Arachnia would finally find her spine, so she can stop hiding and fight. But I guess you'll do," said Zane as he cracks his knuckles and got ready for this fight.
The monster begins chuckle softly as he cracks his own knuckles, which could be heard by everyone. "Mistress Arachnia will make her presence known when the time comes. But until then, you'll have to deal with me, Gold Zeo Ranger. I am Kabuto and I am your destructor."
His horn begins to glow as static begins to form on the two tips. Zane took notice of this and grabs Obi-Wan begins yelling at the men to move out of the way. Kabuto's horn fires a red projectile energy blast, which Zane barely dodged with Obi-Wan. The Clones managed to move out of the way, but the blast destroyed at least three of their Gunships, which were flying away.
Zane and his allies looked over to see the blast, before the Gold Zeo Ranger turns to his enemy. That attack was fast, and he barely dodged it because he had his guard down. Damn it, he thought. He shouldn't have done that and because of his mistake, those Clones on the ship are dead.
He grips his weapon and stood ready for combat. "Master Kenobi, please have your men go inside and take the palace. I'll handle this one."
Master Kenobi had planned to say something to Zane, but he knows he has to let him get to work. If this monster launches another attack like that again, they'll lose more lives.
"Cody, Kitster, let's move out, now!" Master Kenobi ordered as he leads his troops inside the palace, while noticing the monster wasn't trying to stop them.
It seems perhaps he knows if he did try to stop them, Zane would get in the way. So, why bother doing that, when his focus will be on the Power Ranger. He just hopes he'll be okay on his own. While he couldn't shake this feeling that this monster is up to something.
Zane kept his guard up and waits till the monster makes his move. He was glad to see the monster didn't try to stop Obi-Wan or the others. It seems the spider made sure her pet has only one goal in mind. And that's taking him out, which means, he's not going to be a pushover.
"The very fact you know who I am tells me that General Arachnia made you to be a match for me, right?" Zane asked as he gets a small laugh from the monster. "I'm sort of touched really. I guess it makes sense. Considering she made that Abomination monster to kill Damien. So, she made you to try killing me."
"Oh, I was made to do more than kill you," Kabuto began to speak, while tapping on his armor. "Mistress Arachnia studied your past fights with Damien and knows how strong you are. So, she made my armor incredibly powerful. Much stronger than that of the Abomination. And she has even increased my strength as well to be a worthy opponent."
Zane could tell this monster was strong, there was no denying that. He also couldn't deny that this armor might make it difficult to cut through, but he suspects there is a weakness to it. Not just that, but he suspects that General Arachnia has focused more on power and defense, than on speed. But there's only one way to find out.
"Then let's put you to the test, shall we?" Zane kicks up one of the destroyed Super Battle Droids and kicks it towards the monster.
Kabuto swings its large arms and shattered the droid. Zane saw an opening and drives an elbow into the gut of the monster. It coughed out in pain, before Zane ducks down and delivers a kick under its chin. It didn't send Kabuto flying, but it did stagger him.
Zane begins now going for punches and kicks to the abdomen of the monster. Trying to take him down. Kabuto roars angrily and tries to attack him. Zane used his speed and disappeared, before reappearing behind him. Zane goes for a kick to the back but winced a bit in pain when he found the back was hard.
Like hitting hard steel, which actually hurt him. Zane backs away and lands away from the monster. Kabuto turns towards Zane and begins charging its attack. Zane noticed this, but also noticed something else that seems to be a flaw with this monster.
Kabuto fires another red energy blast, which Zane managed to dodge again by leaping into the air. The monster lifts its head up to try hitting Zane, with a long red beam trying to hit him. But the attack stops when it got inches from Zane's back. Zane dives down at the monster, before grabbing it by the head with both of his knees.
Zane then using his power flips over and sends the monster flying towards the sand. Zane then summons his weapon as Kabuto begins to get to his feet to recover from the attack. Zane aims and fires multiple energy blasts at the monster. The attack sends the monster flying towards the debris of the destroyed Republic Gunships and crashes into them.
Zane moves his weapon down and sighed softly. "That was way too easy," he said to himself knowing this fight isn't over yet.
Kabuto soon emerged from the debris, while roaring loudly. He then winced and rubs where he got hit, while wondering how the Gold Zeo Ranger is able to hurt him. His body should be able to handle any sort of attack. So, how is he doing this?
Zane saw what the monster is doing and concluded what he realized. General Arachnia made this monster strong with its body, while made its armor hard to lay any serious damage. However, he's lacking any speed to get any sort of serious hits on him, his charge up for his attack takes time, and only his backside has more protective armor.
His front part of his body is weak and is easy to lay more serious blows to. So, that's his chance to finish him off and end this, before things get worse.
Kabuto knows this isn't good and needs to weaken his opponent now. Fortunately for him, his mistress had prepared for this and had already a plan set up.
"Its over, Kabuto. Tell me where General Arachnia is at and I promise to end this quickly," said Zane as he decides to summon Pyramidis to finish this fight now, before it goes bad for him.
Kabuto begins to laugh softly at first, before his laughter grew. "You fool! It is you who will fall before me! And it will be thanks to my mistress. Who I told you before knows everything about you, even how to weaken you, like he did with Damien!"
Kabuto pulls out a device and pressed it, which caused four small drones to appear from the sand. They surround Zane and soon zapped him. Zane yells in pain as he feels them shooting at him with some sort of energy blast. One that felt like he was being electrocuted and it was going through every part of his body.
Zane grabs his staff and quickly tries to dispose of the drones. He barely was able to destroy them before he fell to his knees. He didn't realize it, but it was already too late. Whatever those drones did, worked because his suit begins to disappear.
His powers were fading and were soon gone. He looks down to see he was back in his regular form. No Gold Zeo Power, his staff is gone, and he couldn't summon his powers. He looks over at his foe, who continued to laugh.
"What was that?" Zane asked as he struggles to his feet.
"A power dampener. Design specifically for you, Gold Zeo Ranger. Only you due to my mistress having your energy signature and knew how to temporarily strip you of your Gold Zeo Powers. If we had the energy signature of your comrades, we would have had used it on them long ago," said Kabuto as he explains what happened.
Zane mentally cursed himself for letting his guard so easily like that, again. He should have known the crafty spider had planned something like this. It was ingenious, but he knew this was bad for him. But the monster did say it was temporary.
How long though? He knows probably might take hours to be able to use his powers again. Time that he won't have if this monster has anything to say about it. He summons his own staff and stood ready for this fight.
"Well, looks like I'll have to do this the old fashion way," said Zane who hopes that Obi-Wan or the others finish their mission soon, because if he can't beat this monster like this, he's not gonna make it.
Endor
Meanwhile, inside the Command Center, in the medical room where Zane's daughter is at. The machines continue monitoring Serenity's vitals. Making sure she's doing all right and making sure she's recovering after being frozen for so long.
Thanks to the antidote from Damien, she has been healed from the illness. An illness that almost took her life, which was not Damien's intention. The machine though was currently working on helping her body regain its strength. So, she can be ready to walk on her own power and not worry about her body being frail during her cryo-sleep.
The monitor begins acting up for a moment. The machine detecting small movements from within the pod, where the girl is sleeping. Her fingers, slowly moving inside the pod. As this is going on, a bright green glow can be seen emitting in the room.
This only lasted for a minute, before her fingers stopped moving, the monitor began going back to normal, and the green light was gone. Whatever happened was perhaps a one-time thing or perhaps it was a sign of something else.
In any case, the room went back to normal without anything strange happening again. Except for a small vibration sound that came from a nearby table. The same table where the Morpher containing the Dragon Coin is at. It shined for a moment, before once more the vibration stopped and the room became silent again.
That's the end of the chapter and okay it looks like you all can guess who the knight is gonna be. I have my reasons for it, but they will be explained when the knight appears. Don't worry though, Anakin and Captain Rex will get their moments. Just not right now.
We also saw Zane is in a lot of trouble. Oh boy, what's gonna happen? Think he can fight on his own without his powers? Or think he'll need some help?
Also, think the others will finish up on Teth before going to help Zane? Think Obi-Wan can go lend a hand? Or will he run into General Grievous? Or maybe Gabriella will get involved?
