Colt Ambrosio has spent his entire life growing up on the Islands of Alola, training with his family members and the best the Islands have to offer. After receiving all the training he could and obtaining as many Z-Rings as he could, he travels to Kalos to take on the league there. With the help of his family members, Colt gains new friends, new rivals, and has a new adventure.

Pokémon: A New Shining Light

Chapter 1: A New Land and New Opportunity

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now beginning our descent into Lumiose City. Please put up all trays and buckles up as we enter the Lumiose Airport. Please be aware of some slight turbulence as we come down and wait until the plane has come to a complete stop before moving around the cabin. We hope you enjoy your time in Lumiose City and in the Kalos Region and thank you for riding with Lugia Airlines."

Colt Ambrosio opened his eyes as he heard the announcement from the pilot that they were landing in Lumiose. The fly from his home region of Alola had been long so the news of his flight now arriving at his destination was music to his ears. As the plane landed, the slight bump from the wheels touching down made Colt jump slightly in his seat from the impact. He never did like flying in planes, but they were the easiest way to get from Region to Region, so he put up with it. Soon enough, the plane came to a complete stop and everyone that was on the plane started getting up and grabbing their individual items to depart the plane. Colt waited a few minutes until the aisles were clear enough to get out from his seat and grab his backpack that he kept in the overhead compartment. The backpack was certainly big, but it only housed a few things like Colt's personal laptop, his chargers, a photo album of him, his family, and friends from back in Alola, a change of clothes, and a Z-Ring.

The Z-Ring was something that Colt had earned during his first few years of living on Alola. When his partner Pokémon hatched, the two of them had taken on the Alolan Island Challenge, going around every single island and taking on the various challenges set by the trial captains and gaining a new Z-Ring for each challenge that he accomplished. It was honestly amazing that he was able to do it with just one Pokémon, but that one Pokémon was someone that Colt had trusted for his entire life and was as much a part of his family as his own brother. Colt now possessed every single Z-Crystal that could be obtained in Alola except for the ones that were unique to specific Pokémon and the really special ones that were bestowed upon certain trainers by the Alolan Guardian Deities. His Z-Ring was unique to him as it was solid black color with some red and blue accents with the bright red Firium Z Crystal set firmly in the center of it. Now he was planning on using the incredible power of the Z-Ring and its Crystals to give him an advantage in the Kalos League.

Colt adjusted his backpack on his shoulders and headed off the plane, avoiding all people that were lagging in the aisles. Before he fully got off the plane, he made sure that his wallet and phone were in his pockets and that his single Pokeball was on his hip. Once he made sure that everything was with him, he exited the plane and entered the terminal where so many people were milling around. Once he got a good distance away from his terminal, he leaned back and let his spine readjust from sitting on the plane along with cracking his neck. He then let off a pleased sigh as he felt the soreness in his body leave, a large smile then grew on his face as he looked around him and noticed the differences between Kalos and Alola. In Kalos, everything seemed a lot fancier and more elegant, things had brighter colors, there were foods that he saw that he had only heard of but never seen, and some incredibly Pokémon that were not in Alola that made Colt incredibly curious.

"I'm so glad that Mom helped me pick out some new clothes for this region. I need to make sure that I don't stand out more then I already do." He said as he adjusted the black and dark blue fedora hat on his head. His mother had a lot more fashion sense than he did so he let her take the reins in deciding the way that Colt would look, and he had to admit, she knew what she saw doing. Colt was dressed in a pair of faded black jeans with dark brown boots that were not only stylish but were also suitable for trekking through the different landscapes of Kalos. A black belt was tied around his waist that had magnetic hooks for his Poke balls. A maroon colored shirt with a black tribal image of the Pokémon Articuno on the front with a short black and red coat over it all. His hat was on his head but slightly askew making it look more stylish, he also had a leather cord necklace with dark brown and red beads on it that hung just above the center of his chest. Colt always drew the eyes of the people around him since he stood at 6'2 and was a solid 220 pounds which was a surprise for many people to see; and even more so when they found out he was 18.

Colt had always loved Pokémon, he loved bonding with them and seeing what they were like in their natural habitats. He decided to wait a few more years to become a trainer instead of 14 like most of his friends because he wanted to finish school and so he could learn as much as he could before he went on his journey and so he could bulk up a bit. He was a bit of a chubbier child, and he knew that he wouldn't have been able to get very far as a trainer if he didn't take care of his own health, so he started working out with his older brother and learning martial arts from the Island Kahuna Hala and his grandson. He became very interested in Parkour to get across different obstacles and when he ran, he would sometimes be joined by different Pokémon which was a great way to see how they would be around him.

Speaking of Pokémon, Colt reached down to the single Pokeball that was on his waist and unclipped it. This was a traditional Pokeball, but it was painted with black, red, orange, and yellow to give it a flame aspect to it that matched the Pokémon inside. Colt then pressed the button on the center, and it enlarged, he smiled before he threw the ball into the air, and it snapped open. A burst of white energy was released, and it soon shaped into a bipedal, pig-like Pokémon that had a chubby, oval shaped body with black markings going up the sides and center of its body emulating spandex. It had yellow bands around its wrists and twisted yellow shapes on its chest. It had two large and brown floppy ears extending from its head and a small, twisted black tail. It had two sharp claws on its hands and one sharp claw on each foot and a large pig-like red nose and two sharp teeth that protrude from its lower jaw. What made this Pokémon unique from the others of its species is that instead of the fiery red-orange hue that its skin would usually have, this Pokémon had a cobalt blue hue to its skin. This made the Pokémon a real standout when people saw it and took them by surprise when they saw how strong he could. Colt caught the Poke ball as it came back down and smiled the sight of his partner.

The pig-like Pokémon pumped its arms before it snorted out some embers from its snout and opened it eyes. Once it saw Colt it smiled largely before it ran up to him.

"Pignite!" the Pokémon squeaked out as it saw his trainer.

Colt laughed as he patted the Pignite on the head, "Hey Ogun, good to see you buddy!" he said as he held his right arm out and his hand in a fist. The Pignite, now known as Ogun, smiled at this gesture and bumped its fist against his trainer's.

"Sorry about the long ride in your ball bud, the flight took longer than I expected. But take it all in, we are officially out of Alola and are now in Kalos. Can you believe it?" he said with a smile.

"Pig, Pignite!" Ogun oinked out as he looked around him in wonder.

"Here is where we are going to take on the Kalos League. You ready for that?" Colt asked his partner.

"Pignite!" the fire-pig Pokémon oinked out in determination. The fire/fighting type always did have a lot of energy, especially when it came to battling. The two of them became quite skilled at the art of battling after Colt hatched Ogun from an egg. The two of them had been together for most of their lives and were practically inseparable. They trained alongside the different trial captains and Kahuna's back in their hometown and alongside Colt' older brother who had already taken on the Alola League and was now living in Sinnoh with his girlfriend Dahlia. Colt decided to take on Kalos after his aunt and uncle sent him letters telling him all about the Kalos Region and he got inspired. He then finished up as much training as he could, saved all the money that he could scrape up, and said his goodbyes to all his friends and family and headed for Kalos. Now that he was here, he was going to make the most of it.

"Okay, Auntie M said that she would meet us outside of the airport so let's get going." Colt said with Ogun nodding along with him. The Pokémon and trainer walked through the terminal passing by all sorts of people and Pokémon that they had never seen before. As they were about to head out of the terminal they were approached by a group of children.

"Hey mister, is that a Pignite next to you?" one of them asked.

Colt smiled, "Yeah, that's right. His name is Ogun. The two of us just arrived from the Alola Region." He said.

"Cool! But why does he look different than the one I read about?" A second child asked.

"That's because Ogun is a one of kind Pignite. His parents were unique, and they had him as a result. That ended up with him looking like this. Plus, he also has some really cool moves that he can do that most other Pignite's can't." Colt said with Ogun flexing his arms in pride.

"What kinds of moves?!" all the children asked at the same time.

Colt chuckled, "Sorry kids, you'll have to wait till you see me on TV for the Kalos League." He said getting some disappointed sounds from the kids until they all lit up again.

"Wait, you're taking on the Kalos League?!" one of them asked with excitement.

Colt nodded, "Yep and with Ogun and all the other Pokémon I'm going to catch here in Kalos; I have a good feeling that I'm going to win." He said as he and Ogun started to walk away.

The kids all looked amongst themselves before they all smiled, "Awesome!" they cheered loudly as Colt left the terminal and the kids who had started talking amongst themselves.

"Sounds like you are already making friends." A feminine voice said. Colt looked towards the source of the sound to see an older woman in her late 30's with dark brown hair that fell to her chin that had amber highlights running through it and bright green eyes. She had a very fit figure with a slim waist and stood at about 5'8 but that was raised to 6'0 due to the brown heeled boots that she was wearing. Along with the boots, she wore white pants that had a studded belt and an olive green shirt that had the sleeves rolled up to her elbows with a diamond wedding ring on her left finger. Margarete Belladonna, or Maggie as she was called by those closest to her, was Colt' aunt and was also the head of one of the biggest fashion stores in all Lumiose.

Colt smiled as he saw his aunt, "Auntie M!" he said as he ran towards her. The older woman giggled and wrapped her nephew in a tight hug.

"Oh Colt, it is so good to see you! Look at you, getting more handsome every single day." She said as Colt rolled his eyes.

"You sound just like mom, but you are sisters, so I'm not surprised. So, where's Uncle Ren?" He asked. Maggie was his mother's younger sister and someone that Colt viewed like a second mother. Colt never met his father since he and his mother divorced when he was only one year old but his father always sent him some kind of presents on his birthday but he never really saw him or had any contact with his father other than that.

"Busy at the lab as always. But he did say that he would be home as soon as he can. He misses your cooking and doesn't want to miss any." Maggie said as Colt chuckled. Food was one of Colt' passions, he loved to cook especially for his family and Pokémon. His Uncle Ren was someone who had a very large appetite so whenever Colt was in town or his aunt and Uncle visited, Colt always made sure to cook enough food to satisfy the older male.

"Well don't worry. All the work for dinner will be on me tonight. You don't have to lift a finger." He said.

Maggie kissed Colt on the forehead, "And that is why you're my favorite nephew." She said.

"Don't tell Rex that." Colt said getting both to laugh. Maggie then caught sight of the familiar Pignite standing next to Luke.

"And hello to you too Ogun. It seems like you have gotten stronger since the last time I saw you." She said petting the fire type.

"Pignite!" Ogun shouted with a smile.

Colt chuckled, "Yeah, we have been doing a lot of training back on the Islands and I have to say that we have gotten a lot stronger. Even though it took us three times to beat Olivia and we still haven't beaten Professor Kukui. Not to mention all the times we got knocked on our asses trying to battle Gladion." He said recalling the battles he took against the different masters from the Islands.

"Hey, at least you beat her. That just proves that you are getting better each and every day. And Kukui and Gladion are some of the best trainers in Alola, it's going to take some serious work to beat him, but you'll get him one day." Maggie said with a smile.

"Thanks Auntie. By the way, where's the brat?" Colt said with a smirk. By brat he meant his cousin Naomi. He loved his cousin dearly and she loved him but sometimes she could be a bit of a handful. She tended to act like a brat at times, but she had a good heart when it came down to it.

Maggie giggled, "She and Rosa are waiting at home for you." She said referring to Naomi's partner Roselia by the name that she gave her.

"Well let's not keep them waiting." Colt said as Maggie nodded. Colt, Maggie, and Ogun all got into the medium sized Jeep that she drove and headed off to the Belladonna home. As they drove, Colt was able to get a good look at the massive city that is Lumiose. Colt was still very young when the terror of Team Flare wreaked havoc in the city but the tales that his aunt and uncle told him painted a clear picture of what happened. Since that day, the entire Kalos Region did their best to pick up the pieces and 10 years later the city was as strong as ever. Even though some of the Gym Leaders from back then were retired and a new Champion had been crowned the city still thrived and Colt was so happy to be here.

The drive took them past Maggie's shop, the Pokémon Lab of Augustine Sycamore where his uncle worked, and the Lumiose Academy where students and potential trainers could attend to learn all they could about Pokémon. Soon they arrived at a two story cottage style house with a white picket fence and a large yard in the front. The house was colored a nice blue grey color with a black door with a garage on the side of the house and a long driveway. The home had a very charming and homey feel to it that made any who came in welcome. The trio exited the car and made their way up to the door, Ogun, being the excitable Pokémon that he was decided to run around the yard for a few moments before he ran back up to Colt' as they entered the home. The interior of the home had the same classy yet comfy feel to it with several kinds of tchotchkes littered around the home and a lot of pictures of the Belladonna family.

Colt turned his head into the nearby living room to see a young woman of about 16 with chestnut brown hair that fell around her shoulders in waves with reddish brown highlights. Her skin was the same color as Maggie's, but the young woman had a bit more of a tan to it and her body was just as curvy and very well developed. She had turquoise colored eyes that she inherited from her father and a playful smirk on her face. She was dressed in a pair of blue short-shirts with a long-sleeve black shirt and a purple tank top. This was Colt' cousin, Naomi Belladonna.

Colt smirked at the younger girl, "Hey brat." He said.

Naomi crossed her arms, "Hey jerk." She shot back. The two siblings stared at each other for a few seconds as Ogun looked back and forth between them with a curious look on his piggy face. Soon enough the two broke into laughs before Naomi shot across the room threw her arms around Colt' neck in a tight hug. Being smaller than the Colt, the young man was able to pick her off her feet and spin her around in a circle. This was something that Colt had done with Naomi since they were kids.

Naomi squealed as Colt spun her, "Oh cousin! It's so good to see you!" she said happily.

Colt chuckled, "It's good to see you too Naomi," he said setting the younger girl back onto her feet, "Let me get a good look at you." He said as he brushed some hair behind Naomi's ears so he could see her face better.

Colt nodded, "Getting more and more beautiful every day," he said getting a slight blush from his younger cousin, "Have you been doing well?"

Naomi nodded, "I've been great! School is definitely harder than I though it would be but luckily I've been able to balance my schoolwork with my modeling." She said. Naomi loved Pokémon but not to the point where she wanted to be a battler but more in a way of showing off the beauty of her Pokémon, so she got scouted as a model. She was still young, but she was very popular among the youth of the region. She was also talking about possibly becoming a Performer which were big in Kalos.

Colt smiled at his younger cousin, "Well just be sure to keep up the good work and remember to come to me if you have any issues whatsoever. Okay?" he said raising his eyebrow.

Naomi giggled at her cousin's protectiveness, "I promise I will." She said as Colt kissed her forehead.

"Roselia." A small voice sounded near the two cousins. Colt and Naomi looked to see that Naomi's partner Rosa had taken up a sitting position on Ogun's head. Rosa was a Roselia, a small green Pokémon with thorns on its head while each of its hands bloom red and blue roses. A single leaf dress covered her entire front torso, legs, and thighs with a yellow stripe running down the center. Rosa had been Naomi's only Pokémon ever since Ren brought her home as a Budew. The two had been close ever since.

Colt chuckled upon seeing the familiar green Pokémon, "Nice to see you too Rosa. Hope your taking good care of Naomi." He said giving the flower Pokémon a pet, making sure to avoid the poisonous thorns on her head.

"Roselia." She said with a smile.

Luke nodded, "Good to know. Well, Uncle Ren gets home soon, so I better get started on dinner." He said.

Naomi beamed at this, "You're making dinner tonight?! Awesome, I miss your cooking so much!" she said with Rosa agreeing with her.

Luke chuckled, "Well, don't worry. I promise to make this one delicious," he said as he patted Ogun on the back, "You have fun with Rosa and Naomi, buddy. I'm gonna go make us some food." He said as his partner nodded to him. Maggie watched the entire interaction between her nephew and daughter, happy to see that even in different regions the bond that they shared as family was still as strong as ever. She then headed into the living room with her daughter and the Pokémon and sat down on the couch to watch some movies while Colt headed into the kitchen to get things ready.

As he entered the kitchen, Colt opened the fridge and saw the basics he expected to see. Chicken, a few condiments, some fresh vegetables, a few different drinks, and some Miltank Milk. Colt smiled and grabbed the chicken along with some peppers and onions and a few different spices. He grabbed a pan and poured a little bit of oil in it and waited for that to heat up, while he waited Colt sliced the chicken into pieces and the peppers and onions into strips, he seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and just a pinch of cayenne pepper since all the people in Colt' family loved a little bit of heat. Once the pan was hot enough Colt added the peppers and onions so they could sweat and cook off, once they became translucent Colt added the chicken that resounded with a satisfying sizzle as soon as it hit the pan.

Colt smiled as the chicken and vegetables were coming together well. As he let them cook, he mixed a quick sauce. The sauce was rather simple yet had a lot of flavors, it consisted of apple butter, hot sauce, ketchup, and some celery salt. Colt mixed that together and gave it a taste. Happy with the result, Colt set that off to the side while he tossed the chicken and veggies so it could finish cooking. Once Colt saw that the chicken had cooked through and the veggies still had a nice snap to them, he poured his sauce over it all and tossed the chicken and veggies in it. Once the sauce had completely covered it and had been caramelized well, Colt took the meat and veggies off the heat and covered it with a lid so it could keep warm. He then sliced some nice crusty, Kalos Bread and layered it with lettuce and some sliced tomato so that could be ready when he was ready to make the sandwiches for when his uncle came home.

He also prepared some nice sweet potato fries to go along as a side. Soon after he was finished, he heard a door opening and the image of a man rushed into the kitchen. The man was handsome with tanned skin, bright blue eyes, dirty blonde hair, and a muscular build. He was dressed in a long-sleeved turquoise shirt with black pants and a white lab coat around his shoulders. He wore black boots on his feet and a brown leather wrist band on his right wrist. This was Ren Belladonna, Colt' uncle and the father of Naomi and Maggie's husband.

"Tell me I didn't miss dinner!" Ren asked as he glared at Colt with a panicked look on his face.

Colt rolled his eyes, "Easy Uncle Ren, you're just in time. I just finished." He said.

Ren let out a sigh of joy, "Oh thank Arceus. I would have hated myself if I missed your food!"

"Well, you aren't getting any food until you take those shoes off along with that coat!" Maggie shouted at her husband.

Ren whimpered under the shout of his wife, "Yes dear." He said as he proceeded to take off his work clothes. Colt chuckled at the actions between his uncle and aunt before he plated up his sandwiches and fries for his family.

"Okay guys, food is ready!" he said as he brought everything over to the kitchen table. Maggie, Naomi, Ren, Rosa, and Ogun all followed the sound of Colt' voice into the kitchen. Colt placed the plates for his family on the table and after that he placed a few bowls of Pokémon food down for the Pokémon.

"Uncle Ren, Aunty M, you guys should go ahead and bring out your Pokémon as well. They need to eat too." Colt said.

"Good idea." Maggie said as she brought out a Pokeball while Ren brought out two. In bright flashes of light, three different Pokémon appeared in front of the family members. The first was Maggie's Pokémon. It was a bipedal, rodent-like Pokémon that was covered in dark orange fur with a white belly. It had bifurcated ears that were brown on the outside, yellow on the insides, and ended in a curl. There was a circular yellow marking on each cheek with a triangular, dark brown nose. Its arms and feet had patches of brown fur at the end, and the soles of its long feet are tan with a circular orange pad in the center. On its back were two horizontal brown stripes. Its long, thin tail had a lightning bolt-shaped end. This was Sparky, Maggie's Raichu.

Ren's Pokémon were rather unique in the sense that they were how Ogun was. The first was a bipedal, primate-like Pokémon that was primarily reddish-brown with sections of white fur on its chest, head, and lower legs. Several gold markings adorned its body with swirled, circular ones on its knees and shoulders flame-shaped ones on the back of its hands, and a stripe around its back that forms two swirls on its chest. On the top of its head was a large flame, which is never extinguished. The Pokémon had an orange, rounded muzzle, long, round ears with blue inside, and a red ridge over its eyes. The eyes themselves were blue with yellow sclerae. There were five blue digits on both its feet and hands, and it had a long tail. This was Pyro, Ren's Infernape.

The second was a humanoid Pokémon with a large mustache and a long, thin snout, narrow eyes, and ear-like spikes extending from the top of its head with an additional spike protruding from each cheek. Covering its yellow, skeletal body was brown armor-like sections over its chest, shoulders, forearms, and knees. There were three toes on each foot, each of which has a white claw. Two of the toes faced forward, while one faced backwards. It wielded a silver spoon in each hand, which act as amplifiers for its psychic abilities. This was Druid, Ren's Alakazam.

Colt smiled at the appearance of the three Pokémon and gave them all pats on the head; these were Pokémon that he hadn't seen in many years, so it was like seeing old family members after a long time. Colt made sure that all the Pokémon had enough food before he sat down at the table to enjoy his own meal but saw that his uncle had already gotten up and made himself a second one.

"Just couldn't wait could you uncle?" Colt asked as he bit into his own sandwich.

Ren sat down with a smile on his face, "Hey, don't judge. I haven't had your food in a long time, so I am going to spoil myself for as long as you are here." He said making his wife and daughter roll their eyes.

Colt scoffed, "Well, enjoy it while you can uncle. I'm only going to be here for about two days before I leave on my journey."

"So, you have a plan on how to move forward Colt?" Maggie asked.

Colt wiped his mouth and nodded, "Yeah, tomorrow I'm going to head into town and pick up some supplies I have a feeling I'll need, then head to Professor Sycamore's lab to grab a Pokedex. I'll then head out the next day."

Ren swallowed before he addressed his nephew, "The Professor is looking forward to meeting you. Apparently, there is something that he wishes to talk to you about that concerns Ogun."

"What do you mean about Ogun?" Colt asked his uncle.

Ren shrugged, "No idea but it should be interesting." He said.

Colt began thinking about what the Professor could possibly have to tell him about. He knew that due to Ogun's alternate color it often made him the object of intrigue from many people but that couldn't be the reason why he wanted to talk to him was it? Well, Colt would just have to wait until the next day to find out.

The rest of the night was rather pleasant, the family members ate together and traded stories about how things have changed in the past few years, what they had been doing, and how the Pokémon in the family had grown stronger. As the night wound down, Colt took care of the dishes while the rest of the family decided to head to bed. Colt also agreed to watch over the Pokémon until they all fell asleep as well which led to him sipping on an ice cold grape soda in his aunt and uncle's backyard while he looked up at the stars. Ogun was by his side as always while Rosa and Sparky had already fallen asleep and were lying next to each other. Druid was currently meditating in mid-air, and Pyro was sitting next to Ogun with his eyes closed, while most other Infernape would probably be bouncing around with all the fiery energy that they had coursing through their bodies, but Pyro had a lot of battling experience and was able to keep himself in check while he relaxed which was also why he was a great battling partner for Ogun.

Colt took a sip of his soda while he leaned against the large tree that his extended family kept in the backyard and gazed at the bright, stars that littered the blue-black sky above.

"Tomorrow we meet up with Professor Sycamore and see what he wants to say, after that we grab a few supplies for the journey ahead because the day after tomorrow; we take our first steps on our journey." Colt said to his fiery partner who nodded along with what his trainer said.

Colt smiled, "I cannot believe that we are here, it was only a few hours ago that we were back in Alola. Now we're here in Kalos and about to take on Kalos League, this is going to be one hell of an adventure huh buddy?"

"Pignite!" Ogun yelled out as he nodded with a huge smile on his face.

Colt smiled and held his fist out towards his partner, "Wouldn't want to start this journey without you buddy. Thanks for always being here." He said. Colt and Ogun had been through a lot together from the moment he hatched, working through the everyday trials as a Tepig, training alongside his older brother, working with trainers like Gladion, and all the different battles and trials that they had gone through felt like they led to this moment. Ogun smiled at his trainer and bumped his curled fist against the outstretched one his trainer had. The trainer and Pokémon then leaned forward and touched their forehead's together with their eyes closed. This was something they did when Colt was a child and Ogun was a Tepig. It was just their way of showing that they cared for each other and were looking out for one another. These two had been through so much already but now the real journey would begin.

Pokémon

The next morning in Lumiose City Maggie and Ren had gotten up early to head towards their respective jobs whole Colt and Naomi went about their daily mornings. Colt had woken up early and took care of his morning workout while Ogun and Pyro did some training on their own while Naomi slept in since she didn't have to go to school today. While she slept, she didn't see or hear the alerts on her Holo Caster from her from friend Zoey saying that she was stopping by. Said girl was walking down the streets of Lumiose towards Naomi's home with a slight annoyed look on her face since her friend wasn't responding to her messages.

"Damn that girl, she never answers when the sun comes up." Zoey said as she walked up to the front door of her friend's house. Zoey was a lovely young woman the same age as Naomi but with features that showcased her Kantonian heritage with almond shaped eyes, ivory skin, and long black hair that had amber highlights that she liked to keep in waves flowing down to her shoulders. Her outfit further stated her heritage by wearing a dark red tank-top that looked rather sexy on the young woman due to the tightness of it against her chest and how it revealed her midriff. Over the tank top she wore a black and pink Sukajan souvenir jacket with pink sleeves and an embroidered image of Moltres on the back. She wore a black skirt with matching stockings that went up to her knees and black, heeled boots with golden designs on the sides. Over her shoulders she wore a small clutch that held her two Poke balls and a set of designer sunglasses rested on her head, just above her warm brown eyes.

Upon reaching her friend's front door, she lightly knocked against it with her knuckles and waited for someone to answer. Since Colt was inside the house grabbing some water, he was able to hear the knocking coming from the front door.

"Hmm, wonder who that could be at this hour?" he questioned as he made his way to the front door. Opening it, he saw a lovely young woman around Naomi's age standing outside the door.

Upon seeing Colt, Zoey's eyes immediately drew to his muscular form, even if it was covered by a sleeveless shirt and workout pants. Zoey hadn't heard of her friend having a boyfriend or any male relatives visiting so seeing the boy in front of her shocked her to say the least. And the fact that he was incredibly hot just made the situation even more interesting to the young woman.

Colt smiled at the young girl who was standing outside the door, "Well, hello. Can I help you?" he asked.

Zoey was pulled out of her stupor before she spoke, "Oh uh, hi. I'm Zoey, I'm a friend of Naomi's and I am here to pick her up." She said as she kept her eyes on Colt' handsome form.

Colt smiled, "Oh, you're one of Naomi's friends. Well, come on in." he said stepping aside to let the younger girl in. Once she was inside Colt closed the door and walked over to Rosa who was nibbling on a berry.

"Hey Rosa, do me a favor. Go upstairs and wake Naomi up." He asked getting a nod from the flower Pokémon. Rosa finished off her berry and headed up to Naomi's room leaving Colt and Zoey alone together.

Zoey looked at Luke once more, "So, not to be rude but who exactly are you? Naomi didn't tell me that she had a boyfriend or that she was seeing someone."

Colt chuckled, "Boyfriend? Yeah, that's not something that would happen." He said.

Zoey glared at him, "And why not? Is Naomi not good enough for you?" she accused.

Colt was honestly amused by her reactions, "Trust me, if there is anyone who knows about how beautiful Naomi is it's me. The reason why me and Naomi getting together would never happen is because…"

"Ugh, why are you waking me up?! I was sleeping so well." Naomi shouted as she came down the stairs dressed in a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top with her hair slightly messy.

Colt chuckled upon seeing his cousin, "Well good morning sunshine. You have a guest." He said gesturing to Zoey.

Naomi looked over to her friend with a confused look, "Zoey? What are you doing here so early?"

Zoey groaned, "Did you seriously forget? The big sale is today, and I told you I was coming to get you so we could meet up with the rest of the girls." She said with her hands on her hips.

Naomi took a minute to register what her friend was saying before her eyes widened, "Holy Arceus, I totally forgot! Give me 5 minutes and I'll be right down!" she said before she ran back upstairs to get dressed.

Colt chuckled at his cousin's antics, "Some things never change," he says before turning back to Zoey, "Well Zoey, you go ahead and make yourself at home. I'm gonna get back to my training outside." He said as he walked back to the backyard to see Ogun bobbing and weaving around Pyro's flame covered fists.

"Nice Ogun, that's the way buddy! Remember, light on your feet then once you see an opening, strike!" he said as he joined the Pokémon. Zoey followed the young man and watched as he worked with the two Pokémon as to help guide them into forms that could help them move better. After that, she watched him do his own kind of martial arts forms alongside the two fire type Pokémon. She was entranced at the sight she saw of the lean muscular boy that stood in the backyard of her friend's house.

She knew that he was older than him and was more than likely not interested in her, but she didn't really care. He was hot and she would stare if she could.

Naomi soon came down from her room dressed in a pair of white shorts with sneakers, a black studded belt, a pink button up top with a short blue, leather jacket over it with golden buttons on the sleeves. She brushed down her hair to make it look more manageable and added just a splash of make-up with the same kind of sunglasses and clutch like her friend but with a color scheme to match her outfit. Rosa was already in her Pokeball that was resting inside her clutch.
Naomi looked over at her friend and wondered what she was staring at in the backyard, so she went over to her and saw her staring at Colt while she was biting her lip.

Naomi rolled her eyes and pulled on Zoey's arm, "Come on, let's get going. I want to get this shopping trip started."

Zoey nodded and allowed Naomi to pull her along but kept her eyes on Colt, "So, you gonna tell me who the gorgeous guy in the backyard is?" she asked as the two girls left the house.

Naomi raised an eyebrow, "Why so curious?" she asked with a teasing smile.

Zoey scoffed, "Um, did you not hear me? That guy is gorgeous. And that body of his is on point. So, who is he?"

Naomi chuckled, "That was my cousin Colt. He arrived yesterday from Alola and is planning on taking on the Kalos League. He's leaving tomorrow but is staying with us tonight so he can grab some supplies for his journey." She said as they started walking.

"He's leaving tomorrow?! Oh, that is so not fair! I didn't have time to make myself look cute for him!" Zoey cried out.

"Oh, come on, he's, my cousin!"

"So?!"

The two friends continued to argue about Colt while said boy was finishing up his training and was heading out to meet up with Professor Sycamore and get his supplies for his journey.

Pokémon

Colt had left Pyro to look after the house while he left, he knew that the mature Infernape could do well on his own, so he didn't worry. Colt was walking down the street in a similar outfit that he had yesterday but instead of the maroon shirt he had on yesterday, he wore a grey one with a tribal image of a Rhyhorn on it. He was walking down the streets of Lumiose with Ogun by his side and smiles on their faces. Both were loving the new sights and smells that they were getting, amazed by how different it was from their home Region of Alola.

As they walked down the cobblestone streets, they came upon a small corner store that sold various products for both humans and Pokémon. There was a small girl around 8 with long brown hair that she kept in a ponytail, warm brown eyes, and was dressed in a pair of knee length blue shorts and a long-sleeved grey sweater that looked just a size too big for her along with a bow in her hair and some simple flat shoes. Floating next to the young girl was a small, pink, avian Pokémon with a white face that took up most of its face with a curved nose with large orange eyes and long eyelashes. It had small wings and a curly tuft of hair on the top of its head with light purple feet that didn't have any toes.

Colt didn't know what kind of Pokémon it was, but it looked very intriguing and rather adorable, Ogun noticed the different types of berries that were being sold in stands outside of the store and his eyes widened the minute he saw the Tomato Berries. The red, spiked fruit was one of the fire type's favorites and he would automatically start drooling, which he was doing, once he laid eyes on the fruit. Colt rolled his eyes at his partner and headed towards the small store.

The young girl saw Colt approach and immediately smiled at him, "Hello!" she said giving Colt a happy wave.

Colt smiled at the young girl and gave her a wave back, "Well, hello to you too young lady. Sorry to bother you but my partner hear has a weak spot for Tomato berries. Any chance we could purchase a few?" he asked.

The little girl looked over at Ogun and gave off a cute squeal, "Ah, what kind of Pokémon is this?! It's so cute!" she cried out happily as she hugged Ogun like he was a plush doll.

"Pignite." Ogun spoke out as he had a deadpan look on his face. Colt chuckled; he knew that Ogun was a very friendly Pokémon, but he did have an ego just like all men. So, whenever someone called him cute or cuddled him out of nowhere, he tended to find it annoying, but the flying pink Pokémon found it rather funny and just laughed loudly.

"I know that Ogun is very interesting, but could you please stop squeezing him like that? He doesn't really like it." Colt pleaded to the young girl.

"Eh, but why? He's so cute and is so much fun to hug!" the girl squealed again while she had her arms wrapped around Ogun.

"Now, Kimberly don't be selfish. The young man asked you to release his Pokémon. So, let the Pokémon go." An older female said she came towards Colt and the young girl who he now knew was named Kimberly. The older woman looked like an older version of Kimberly with the same hair color that she kept in an elegant braid over her shoulder with bright green eyes, a lovely figure, and flawless porcelain skin. She was dressed in a long-sleeved brown shirt with a pair of jeans and strap sandals on her feet. She wore a white apron over it all with the store's logo on the front. Next to her was an older man with a lithe yet fit body with short black hair, brown eyes that were behind a pair of stylish, circular glasses and tanned skin. He was dressed in a short-sleeved dark green polo shirt, khaki pants, brown boots, and an interesting necklace of a round, spherical, multi-colored gem with a black DNA strand in the middle. Colt didn't know why but just the mere presence of the stone around the man's neck held a certain, mystical presence to it.

Kimberly pouted but did what her mother said, Colt rubbed the top of Ogun's head to calm him down a bit, but he could still see the slight irritation on his partner's face.

"Thank you for that ma'am." Colt said to the older woman.

She gave Colt a smile and a nod before the older man came over and knelt in front of the fire type, "Wow a Pignite. It's been a few years since I have seen one in person, but I have never seen one with such a unique coloring on its body or with such strength in its eyes." The man said as he petted Ogun on the head. The Fire-type seemed to enjoy the compliments and the affection he was getting. This was one of the few forms of endearment that he didn't mind.

Colt smiled widely, "Yes sir. I raised Ogun from an egg when I was just and kid and trained him myself. With some help from my family members. We have been together ever since. The battles that we have gone through have made us all that much stronger." He said with Ogun agreeing along with him.

The man chuckled before he stood back up, "I can see that in his eyes." He said.

"Thank you, sir, if you don't mind me asking how do you know about Pignite? As far as I know, they aren't native to Kalos." Colt asked.

"I used to be a researcher in my youth, and I traveled around to various regions before settling here in Kalos. I have seen many Tepig, Pignite, and Emboar fight against other Pokémon, and they truly are incredible warriors." The man said.

"Yes, they are," Colt said as the pink Pokémon floated over to Ogun and the two began to chat amongst themselves, "So, what kind of Pokémon is this little one? It's rather adorable." He said giving the pink puffball a pet on the top of its head which it seemed to love.

"That is Sugar, she is a Spritzee. They are Fairy-types that are native here in Kalos." The older woman said.

"Wow, Fairy-types. My cousin used to tell me about them when I was back in Alola, and I have seen a few back on the Islands but seeing one here in Kalos feels different. She's a beautiful Pokémon." Colt said.

"Very true." The older woman said as Sugar flew back over to Kimberly.

Colt pulled out his wallet and turned to Kimberly's parents, "I was hoping to grab some Tomato berries for my partner here and I will take a sports drink if you have any." He said handing the older man a few Poke dollars.

The man smiled, "No problem young man." He said as he went back inside the store and the man's wife packed up some Tomato berries before the man came back with a bottled sports drink for Colt.

"Thank you for everything sir. By the way, could you direct me towards the Sycamore Labs?" Colt asked.

Kimberly bounced on her feet, "Oh, I know that place! Just go down the street and turn a right. There is a large building with Pokeball statues out in front." She said.

Colt smiled at the young girl before he passed his partner a bright red Tomato berry, "Thank you very much little lady and thank you for your service, sir." He said as he and Ogun started walking towards the lab.

Pokémon

The walk didn't take very long and the directions that Kimberly gave Colt were very helpful. The lab was very impressive and made a statement for any of the people who passed by. Colt and Ogun walked up the stone steps and entered the building, there he was greeted by a very classy looking interior but still held an aura of seriousness for anyone who entered the lab. There was a young man around Colt' age that was talking with an older man with styled, spiked black hair, a purple button down shirt, black pants, and brown shoes with a white lab coat over it all. Despite the age the man had, Colt could tell that he had a lot of energy. Just from that, he could tell that the man was Professor.

"Now remember, Froakie will be an incredible partner with you but be sure to look after him because they tend to have a lot of energy." The professor said to the young man.

"Will do, thanks Professor!" the young man said before he rushed out of the lab passing Colt and Ogun.

"Wow, he's excited," Colt said with a smile as he walked up to the Professor, "Hello sir, I'm Colt Ambrosio." He said.

The Professor smiled, "Bonjour young man. Welcome to the Sycamore Labs, I am Professor Augustine Sycamore." He said as he held his hand out to Colt.

Colt smiled, "It's a pleasure sir. This is my partner Ogun." He said gesturing to the Pignite by his side.

"Pignite!" Ogun yelled out as he flexed his arms.

The Professor soon became interested in Ogun and knelt to his level, "Oh, what an interesting looking Pokémon. I have heard of the Unova Region Fire types being excellent partners, but I never knew that they could be such a unique color." He said as he looked Ogun over.

"Thank you, Professor. I never knew what Ogun was actually going to be when he was an egg but after seeing how incredible he was when he hatched and how close we have gotten over the years, I couldn't have asked for a better partner." Colt said with pride as Ogun turned to him and gave his trainer a big hug, completely ignoring Professor Sycamore who didn't seem to mine.

"I can see the bond that you two have is very strong." Professor Sycamore said as he stood back to his full height.

Colt smiled and nodded, "Thank you sir, so my uncle said that you wanted to talk to me about Ogun. What exactly did you want to talk about?" he asked.

Professor Sycamore nodded, "Follow me if you would please." He said as he started walking towards a different part of the lab. Colt followed him with Ogun closely by his side.

"Tell me Colt, have you ever heard of Mega Evolution?" Professor Sycamore asked.

Colt nodded his head, "Yes I have. From what I know it's a unique form of evolution that originated here in Kalos but has been seen in Hoenn as well. It can take the bond between Pokémon and trainer to another level and give the Pokémon a new form and even more power. I have also heard that some Pokémon take on different typing and abilities."

The Professor seemed shocked at this, "Wow, you seem to know a lot about the phenomenon for someone who isn't from Kalos or Hoenn.'

Colt rubbed the back of his head, "Well, I became interested in it after I saw the current Kalos Champion battle about a year ago. The way he controlled the battle from the very start was incredible, then when his Charizard Mega Evolved and took on a brand new form I was suddenly speechless," he said as he recalled the first time he ever saw Mega Evolution on TV, "Even Ogun got excited when he saw how strong a fellow fire type could be so we started training even harder to become strong enough to wear we could be on equal footing with a Mega Evolved Pokémon."

"Pig, Pignite!" Ogun exclaimed as he nodded his head.

Professor Sycamore laughed, "Well I can certainly understand that, Alain's Charizard is probably one of the strongest I have ever seen even without Mega Evolving," he said as they entered a large garden area with an enormous lake and lush greenery, "My research focuses on Mega Evolution and while it isn't as popular as it was when it first appeared it still hold so many mysteries and interests for me and I feel like there could be so much more potential for the phenomenon."

"Do you think it's possible for all Pokémon to be able to Mega Evolve in the future?" Colt asked.

"I think it's definitely a possibility, but nothing is definitive yet. I have heard that there are many more Pokémon that are appearing with Mega Evolutions." The Professor said.

That was when things clicked for Colt, "You think it's possible for Emboar to be able to Mega Evolve, that's why you wanted to speak to me."

Professor Sycamore snapped his fingers, "Exactly, one of my researchers discovered a unique Mega Stone that hasn't reacted to any of the Pokémon it has come across, so I had an interesting feeling that your Pignite could be the match I have been looking for." He said.

Colt hummed, "Well, I'm not exactly all that crazy about using Ogun as a test subject but if this will help make us stronger then I think we could give it a shot," he said turning to Ogun, "What do you say buddy, want to see if you'll be able to Mega Evolve one day once you're an Emboar?" he asked his partner.

Upon hearing Mega Evolution, Ogun became excited, "Pig, Pignite! Pignite, Pignite!" he shouted out as he jumped on his feet and did a few fast combos.

"Looks like Ogun is on board Professor." Colt said.

"Magnifique! That is excellent to hear, come follow me." The Professor led Colt and Ogun away to a smaller, more lab-like area. As they walked, Colt got the feeling that there was someone watching him. He looked over to see a green and brown Pokémon with spikes on the top of its head looking over in his direction, they locked eyes for a moment before the small Pokémon hid itself once more. Colt found this odd but just chalked it up to just the Pokémon's personality, maybe it was just a bit shy.

The Professor led Colt and Ogun towards a more tech forward part of the lab where there was a bunch of different machines that Colt had no idea what they were for, but it all looked cool. The Pokémon and trainer followed Professor Sycamore to large, dome shaped machine that opened a small compartment when the Professor got near it. The compartment revealed two black boxes that the Professor grabbed and placed on a nearby table. He opened the boxes and revealed two stones, one was a large stone with a swirled, multicolored, symbol in the center was comprised of 3 stripes of orange, red, and black. The second stone was on a much smaller scale with a multicolored shine to it and a black DNA strand in the center, just like the one that the shop owner he met earlier today had.

"The larger stone is a Mega Stone, that is what the Pokémon shall carry on their body while the other is called a Key Stone. That is what the trainer carries. With these two stones and the strong bond between trainer and Pokémon, Mega Evolution is possible." The Professor said as he stepped back to allow Colt and Ogun to get a good look at them. Just by being near the two stones, they could feel the power that was coming from them. Colt took the Key Stone into his hand and felt the smooth rounded surface of the powerful stone. It was like the flow of power that came from Mega Evolution was flowing into him.

He looked over at Ogun who seemed to be entranced by the Mega Stone in front of him. The fire pig reached his hand out and touched the brightly colored stone, the minute he did a brightly colored light flowed from the stone and washed over Ogun. Colt could feel the power flowing from his partner, just from what he was feeling he knew just what this meant. Ogun could Mega Evolve. The glow soon died down and Ogun stood their stunned, almost like he was unable to process what just happened.

Colt soon got his senses back in order and gave off a hearty laugh before he hugged his partner, "Ogun, this is incredible! That light just showed that you can Mega Evolve once you become an Emboar!" he said with a smile. Ogun came out of his stupor and cheered along with his trainer as the two hugged, this was an immense step in their journey, and they couldn't believe that they could become even stronger down the road.

"Magnifique, I had a good feeling about the two of you and what I just saw confirmed it. No one has ever seen a Mega Emboar and from just how strong I can tell Ogun is, I know the two of you are going to make a major splash in the Kalos League," Professor Sycamore said as he closed the boxes with the stones in them, "And that is why, I would like to give you this Mega Stone and this Key Stone."

Colt shot to his feet, "Professor are you sure? I mean, I am incredible honored, but these are very valuable." He said.

Professor Sycamore nodded his head and pressed the boxes into Colt's hands, "Trust me Colt, I have never met a trainer like you before. I can see just how much passion and love you have for your Pokémon and the fire that you have inside you to make it to the top of the league is incredible to see. So, I would like to bestow these upon you and Ogun, so that the two of you can grow as much as you can." He said with a smile.

Colt looked down at the boxes in his hands and then to his partner who gave him a determined smile before he looked back at the Professor, "Thank you Professor. I promise to make good use out of these stones" he said as he gently placed the boxes into his pack. He looked over into a corner and saw the same small green and brown Pokémon from earlier looking at both him and Ogun.

"Hey professor, what kind of Pokémon is that?" Colt asked. Professor Sycamore looked over in the direction Colt was looking in and smiled. He went over to the small Pokémon and picked it up in his arms before he came back over to Colt.

"This is Chespin, he is the Kalos Region Grass starter. He is a very curious little Pokémon but that tends to get him into trouble at times. Despite that, he is very determined and loves to keep an optimistic outlook on life." he said.

Colt looked at the small Pokémon who looked up at Colt with his eyes large, "Well, it's very nice to meet you Chespin." He said giving the Grass type a pet on the head which he seemed to love.

"I wonder why he was watching me." Colt said.

The Professor soon gained a sad smile, "This Chespin has been here for a long time, many of the past few trainers have passed on Chespin. I really don't know why he hasn't been chosen but I know that he would make a wonderful partner to anyone."

"Chespin." The Grass type squeaked out as the thorns on his head drooped down. That hurt Colt's heart. Having been bullied at times during his youth, he knew what it was like when people ignored him just for how he looked or acted. He didn't really know why Chespin would be ignored since Grass types could be very reliable to a lot of trainers. Maybe there was a secret to the little guy that no one knew.

"Hey professor, do you by any chance have an extra Pokedex around here somewhere?" Colt asked. The Professor nodded and set Chespin down on the ground where he immediately struck up a quick friendship with Ogun. The Professor opened a drawer nearby and pulled out a square piece of red metal.

"This is the Kalos Region Pokedex, you can use it to find information on just about any Pokémon that you come across." The Professor said as he handed the device to Colt.

The young trainer knelt to ground level and pointed the device at Chespin.

Chespin, The Spiny Nut Pokémon. This Pokémon has a thick shell of wood that covers its head and back that even a hit from a truck wouldn't faze it. This Chespin is male and weighs around 19 pounds and stands at 1'4''. This Chespin's known moves are Tackle, Vine Whip, Rollout, Power-up Punch, and Dual Chop.

The Physical information was about what Colt expected but his move list was not what he expected, "Whoa, Power-up Punch and Dual Chop? How the heck do you know those?" he asked aloud.

The Professor hummed, "From what I know, Power-Up Punch is an egg move for the Chespin line, so he probably inherited it from one of his parents. As for Dual Chop, I would guess that he picked it up from my Garchomp that helps around the lab from time to time. I guess Chespin was picking up a few things that I didn't know about." He said.

Colt looks down at the Grass type, "Sounds like you have some real power under your belt huh?" he asked.

"Chespin!" the Pokémon nodded as he headed back out into the grass area of the lab. Colt, Ogun, and the Professor followed the small Grass type and saw him standing next to a small tree with no other Pokémon around him.

"Chespin!" he shouted as his hands became covered in bright green energy that curved slightly towards the end. Chespin launched himself forward and sliced the small tree in half, he then canceled out the green energy and it was replaced by a fiery, red orange energy that coated his entire fist.

"Chespin!" the grass type shouted as he launched himself upward and have the broken tree pieces a mean uppercut that caused it to break apart on impact. Chespin landed back on the ground and turned back to Colt and the professor with his small arms over his chest and a proud smile on his face.

Colt was dumfounded by the amount of power that the small grass type just showed but his face soon grew into a large smile.

"Chespin, that was awesome," he said before he ran to the small Pokémon and lifted him in the air, "You moved so smoothly between your moves and showed so much power with each attack! I don't know what trainer will finally see your value but whoever they are, they are going to be so lucky to have you."

"Chespin, Ches, Ches!" the grass type cheered from the compliments it received from Colt.

Professor Sycamore smiled, "Well, it is finally nice to see Chespin get the recognition that it deserves, in fact why don't you take Chespin along with you?"

Colt set Chespin down on the ground and turned to the older man, "Are you sure professor? I mean you have already given me so much today."

The professor nodded his head, "I am 100% sure Colt. I have seen many trainers come and go from this place but not many have the joy or passion for Pokémon that you do. And I feel like Chespin has been here for too long, he needs to get out of this lab and see the world. If I had to give Chespin to any person, then I am happy to bestow him onto you."

Colt was dumbfounded at what the Professor had said, he did not expect to gain his second Pokémon so soon after he arrived in Kalos but the look that the small Grass type gave him told Colt all that he needed to know. He wanted to get stronger and that was a feeling that Colt knew all too well.

Colt knelt down and looked Chespin in the eye, "Well Chespin, what do you say? You want to come along with me on my journey? Ogun and I are planning on taking on the Kalos League so we can test our strength against the best of the best that the Region has to offer. I would be honored if you chose to come along with us." He said with a smile.

Chespin could grin widely enough before he started jumping up and down, "Chespin! Chespin, Ches, Ches, Chespin, Chespin!" the small Grass type exclaimed before he scurried up Colt's body and stood on his shoulder with his small arms holding onto the side of his head.

Colt laughed, "I'll take that as a yes."

The Professor chuckled as well, "As would I," he said as he handed Colt a Poke ball, "Here is Chespin's Poke ball. You can go ahead and hang onto the Pokedex as well, you will need it to register for the Kalos League."

Colt nodded, "Thank you Professor, for everything," he said turning to the Chespin on his shoulder, "Now what am I going to call you? Maybe, Verde?"

Chespin thought for a moment before shaking his head.

"Yeah, kind of out there a bit. Forrest?"

Chespin again shook his head.

"Yeah, too simple. Oh, how about Thorn?"

That name seemed to get the most reaction out of the Grass type and he began to nod his head vigorously.

Colt smiled, "Okay, Thorn it is! Welcome to the family buddy."

Thorn smiled as he cheered from his position on Colt's shoulder while Ogun did the same.

"Well, that is a very welcome sight. I hope that you, Thorn, Ogun, and all the other Pokémon you meet on your journey grow stronger together." The Professor said as he held his hand out.

Colt shook the older man's, "I promise you Professor, me and my team are going to do some great things." He said with a smile as he bid the Professor goodbye. Leaving with some new tools for his journey and a new friend.

Pokémon

Walking down the streets of Kalos, Naomi, Zoey, and two more of their friends were chatting and laughing as they walked while carrying several shopping bags on their arms. Along with Naomi and Zoey, the other two girls with them were just as lovely and cheerful. The first was a young lady with long purple colored hair that fell down her body but was held back with a stylish blue headband. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of cerulean and her skin was ivory. She was dressed in blue jean skirt that went down to her knees with black boots that had silver buckles on the sides that stopped just below her knees. She wore a long-sleeved blue shirt with a black tank top underneath it.

The other girl was slightly taller than the others but was by no means any less beautiful. She had long, hair that fell to the small of her back and seemed to have a sort of ombre effect going from red to a light orange and ending at a vibrant gold; almost looking like fire. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of brown and she had skin that was a natural tan giving her an exotic beauty look. She was dressed in a pair of white capri pants that stopped at her knees with some stylish, ankle-high boots. She had a V-neck, bright red tank top that showed off a decent amount of cleavage from her well developed bust along with a long-sleeved black and orange plaid shirt over it all. She also wore a gold necklace of Moltres around her neck.

The violet-haired girl was Martha West while the ombre red head was Seraphina "Sera" Wallace, these two girls completed Naomi's circle of friends, all of whom had their own goals and dreams.

"Wait, so Naomi has a super-hot cousin that she just neglected to tell us about?" Martha asked aloud.

Naomi rolled her eyes, "Yes, I have a cousin. He is very handsome. And I am sorry that I didn't tell you guys. But in my defense, I haven't seen him in a long time and only found out a few days ago that he was coming."

"Well, as long as he's here, why don't we head over to Naomi's place so we can take a look at him for ourselves?" Sera offered.

Zoey nodded, "I am so down. Maybe I could get his number before he leaves."

Naomi groaned. While she loved her friends and would more than likely join them if they wanted to check out a hot guy, this was her cousin they were talking about. Colt's handsomeness wasn't lost on her, she knew how good he looked but they were family. She would never talk about him the way that her friends were, it was just wrong. But she also knew that Colt would never really go for any of them, mainly due to their age since Colt was older than all of them but she decided to let her friends have their fun.

As they all walked, Naomi passed by one of her favorite cafes in the city. This was a place that she would normally go to whenever she wanted to have some sweets that were close to the kind that her cousin made, he was the best cook in the world in her mind. As she passed by the window, low and behold she saw her cousin Colt sitting at one of the tables having a sweet snack along with Ogun and a Chespin that she had never seen before.

"Hey Naomi, isn't that your cousin over there?" Zoey asked pointing to the same place where Naomi was looking at.

Naomi nodded, "Yeah, that's him."

Martha and Sera looked to where their friends were pointing and saw Colt, just like Zoey had said, he was hot.

Sera all but purred at the sight of Colt, "Damn, you weren't kidding Zoey. He is hot."

"Yes, he is." Martha said as she nodded.

Naomi shook her head, "If I introduce you guys to him, will you please stop drooling over him whenever I bring him up?"

"Yes!" her friends shouted.

Naomi groaned as they all entered the café, hopefully meeting Colt would calm them all down.

Pokémon

Colt was sitting in a classy, Kalos-style café enjoying a little afternoon snack with Ogun and Thorn. After meeting with the Professor, he grabbed a few other supplies that he was going to need on his journey. Some collapsible tents, a few cooking supplies, some medicinal necessities, and a few other odds and ends that he thought would need eventually on his journey. He also found a place that could make him an accessory that he could fix his Key Stone to as well as find something for Ogun. He settled on a large golden charm that resembled a crescent moon but was curved upward with his Key Stone set right in the center of it, the combination of colors made it look like a burst of sunlight whenever the light hit it right and attached that to the necklace he already wore around his neck.

For Ogun, his was something that was a bit flashier. He wore a large golden chain around his neck with a bright orange, red, and black charm that looked like a raging inferno and contrasted well with Ogun's dark blue skin coloring. His Mega Stone was set right in the center so it would catch the attention of whoever would see it. Colt didn't know what would happen to Ogun after he evolved into an Emboar or how he would react to Mega Evolving, but he had faith that his partner would be able to handle it.

Then there was Thorn, his newest partner. The small Grass type had a lot of energy and his move set despite only being in his first evolutionary stage was really impressive, with a little more training he could become a real powerhouse. Not to mention, since Dual Chop was a Dragon type move Colt would be able to use the Dragon type Z-Crystal that he had on him to really make some waves in his future battles, but he would have to get Thorn used to using the high powered moves since they could do some serious damage to both him and Colt if they were under prepared.

At the moment, Colt's partners were munching on some delicious looking Macarons that were tailored to each of them while he himself enjoyed as delicious apple Mille-feuille and a cheesecake filled cream puff. One of Colt's weaknesses was sweets, he had a major sweet tooth so any chance he could get to enjoy dessert he would jump at the chance.

Colt cut into the stacked Mille-feuille, watching as the puff pastry layers broke apart with a satisfying crunch. Colt smiled as he picked up his piece of dessert and popped it into his mouth. He closed his eyes as he savored the bright apple flavor along with the sweet, crispy pastry layers, and sweet cream layers came to perfect harmony in his mouth. After swallowing that piece, he cut a piece of his cream puff off and bit into that as well. The dough was fluffy and airy and the perfect vessel for the creamy, cheesecake filling. The added raspberry sauce and whipped cream created a perfectly balanced dish.

"Delicious," Colt said as he pulled out his new Holo-Caster, courtesy of his aunt, "Okay, so tomorrow we'll leave fairly early and start down route 101 towards Santalune City." He said as he began mapping out his route to his first Gym battle.

"Hey cousin!" a familiar voice said near Colt.

The young man turned his head to his cousin Naomi along with her friend Zoey from earlier that morning and two other girls that he hadn't seen before.

"Hey Naomi," Colt said standing up and hugging his younger cousin, "What brings you here?"

"Well, me and my friends were out shopping, and we saw you in her, figured we could join you if you don't mind." Naomi said.

Colt smiled, "I wouldn't mind at all," he said as he motioned for the girls to sit down at the table he was at, "Now I know Zoey from this morning but who are these other lovely ladies." He said causing the girls to blush.

Naomi giggled, "The tanned beauty with the ombre hair is Seraphina but we all call her Sera, and the violet haired lady is Martha. The girls are my best friends here in Kalos."

Colt inclined his head to the two new girls, "A pleasure to meet you both and you as well Zoey since I didn't get a chance to introduce myself earlier today."

All of the girls waved at Colt before greeting him back, the younger girls did their best to try and flirt with the older boy, but Colt wasn't falling for any of it. He had been around enough girls in his life to know when they are doing their best to flirt so he knew all the signs. Sera even went as far as to caress and cuddle Ogun, but she was quickly stopped by Naomi. Turns out Sera came from a family that specialized in Fire types, so she had a deep love for the Pokémon.

"So, Colt, what are your plans for here in Kalos?" Martha asked.

Colt took a sip of his drink before he answered, "Well, tomorrow I plan on heading to Santalune City to take on my first Gym. Then do some training and see where I can go from there."

"Why not stay for a while and take on the Gym here in Kalos?" Zoey suggested.

Colt shook his head, "From what I have heard about the Gym here, it seems a little bit out of my league. So, I plan on hitting some of the other gyms to test my skills and meet a few other trainers here in Kalos are like to see what they are like. Plus, I want to catch some more Pokémon." He said getting nods from the girls.

Naomi pouted, "I wish you could stay longer; I'm going to miss your food. And I haven't even heard you sing yet." She said.

Colt choked on his drink in surprise before he gave his cousin a small glare, "Naomi!" he shouted out while getting shocked look from his cousin's friends.

His cousin shrugged, "What, I don't get why you are so embarrassed about your singing. You're really good! And I miss hearing your voice, you used to sing to me all the time when we were kids."

Colt sighed, "That's because you used to have some really nasty nightmares. What kind of cousin would I be if I just let you suffer like that?"

Naomi giggled and wrapped her arms around Colt's, "And that is why I love you." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. The other girls seemed to glower at Naomi, obviously jealous at the affection that she was giving him. Even if they did know they were family.

"Okay, can we go back to the fact that Colt knows how to sing?" Martha said.

Colt groaned, "My mother is really big on music, so when me and my big brother were old enough, she put us in different music classes. My brother took piano, he can waltz, and knows how to salsa. I on the other hand can play guitar and the saxophone, I can salsa as well, and yes, I can sing. But all my music stuff is mainly a hobby, that's all." He said.

"Will you sing for us?" the girls asked.

Colt stuttered and was about to say no but the Thorn jumped onto his shoulder, "Chespin!"

Colt groaned, "You too?" he asked getting a nod from his new Grass type. Colt looked over at Ogun who gave him a nod, whether it was support or not Colt couldn't tell but he knew that he may as well give the girls what they wanted. Colt looked at another patron inside the café and saw that he had a guitar with him.

Colt got up and went over to the man, "Excuse me sir, would it be alright if I used your guitar for a minute?"

The man, who's eyes were covered by a set of dark sunglasses smiled at Colt, "No problem little man, let the masses hear your voice." He said handing Colt his guitar.

Colt thanked the man and sat back down at his table, after giving the instrument a few strums and getting it to the sounds that he needed Colt began playing.

"Here's to all the late night drunk phone calls that you picked up

At this point the entire café had gone quiet as all the patrons listened to Colt singing, even bringing out their Pokémon to listen as well. All of Naomi's friends seemed dumbstruck at the sound of Colt's voice not expecting to hear him have the kind of pipes that he did.

Colt strummed his last cord and set the guitar to the side as the patrons around him looked towards him, after a small moment, the silence was broken by the applause from the people inside the café and cheers and shrieks from the surrounding Pokémon. Colt felt his face become warm at the praise before he gave a small bow in appreciation. He handed the guitar back to its owner who praised him as well before sitting back down at his table, both Ogun and Thorn having large smiles on their faces from the happiness of Colt's singing.

"That was amazing," Zoey commented as the other girls nodded, "I agree with Naomi, I don't know why you would be embarrassed by that kind of singing. You are really good!"

Colt smiled, "Well thank you for that but singing is more of a hobby than anything. Mom was really big on it, so I mainly did it just to keep her happy. Other than that, I mainly sing when I'm by myself."

Naomi giggled and kissed her cousin again, "Well, at least you'll always have me as your biggest fan." She said making Colt smile. It did make him happy that his family members always supported him in his endeavors.

"Well, if it isn't Naomi."

Everyone at the table turned their heads to see a young man closer to Colt's age walk towards them with two other boys flanking behind him. The boy had naturally windswept brown hair with bright blue eyes and flawless tanked skin. He was dressed in a black, long-sleeved shirt with a dark blue sweater vest over it with khaki pants and black boots. He had a very fancy watch on his right wrist and a black tie around his neck. He had that cocky look on his face that made Colt very suspicious about him from the minute that he saw him, even more so when he pulled a chair from one of the other tables and sat down next to Naomi.

"What a lovely thing to see you, what brings you out on this fine day?" the boy asked with the cockiest grin he could put on.

Naomi rolled her arms and crossed her arms, "Hello Carl. I was out doing some shopping with my friends, and we decided to join my cousin here for a moment's rest." She said. Carl looked over to Colt who gave him a glare, the brown-haired boy simply scoffed at Colt's actions and turned back to Naomi. Both Thorn and Ogun began growling at Carl's actions, but Colt simply placed his heads on their heads to keep the calm, no point in the attacking some guy out in public.

"Well since it is such a nice day, why don't you spend the rest of it with me? I happen to know a nice, secluded spot for us to be alone." Carl said moving closer to Naomi.

Naomi groaned aloud in disgust, "As if Carl! I would rather date a Muk than go out with you." She said.

Colt smirked, "I feel like that would be an insult to Muk's everywhere Naomi." He said getting snickers out of everyone around him. Carl was clearly not enjoying any of the laughs and started to get angry.

"Shut up all of you," Carl roared getting everyone to quiet down before he turned back to Naomi and harshly pulled her up by the arm, "Now you listen to me you little skank! I am making you my woman whether you like it or no…" he started saying but he couldn't finish what he was saying as Colt grabbed the boy's hair and tightly pulled on it, forcing him to let Naomi go and let out a loud groan of pain.

"Oh, you have so crossed a line." Colt said as he dragged Carl out of the café with him kicking and screaming to try and get Colt to let go. Once he was outside, Colt threw Carl to the other side of the street making him roll upon impact.

"Carl!" the other two boys shouted as they ran to the brown haired boy.

Colt crossed his arms and glared at Carl, "You do not speak about woman like that. Especially a member of my family." He said with pure fury in his eyes. Thorn was still on his shoulder and glaring as well while Ogun came up by his trainer's side with his arm crossed as well.

Inside the café, the patrons and Naomi's friends were all shocked at how easily Colt took care of Carl.

"Okay, he just keeps getting hotter and hotter." Sera said with the others agreeing with her. Naomi rolled her eyes while huffing, doing her best to fix her hair. Carl had been sneaking around her for the past few weeks and just wouldn't take no for an answer. She didn't want to tell Colt when he arrived because she didn't want to bother him with a problem that was hers but when Carl came into the café, she knew her cousin was going to do something about it.

Naomi quickly went over to her cousin who was still standing across the street from Carl, who was now getting back onto his feet by his two cronies. She quickly hid behind Colt and lightly gripped the back of his shirt.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about him." She said quietly.

Colt smiled, "Don't worry about it, Naomi. I'm sure you have your reasons," he said as he placed his hand over hers, "Just remember that I'm here for you." He said gently. Naomi simply nodded, not wanting to look her cousin in the eyes.

Colt looked over at Carl with an angry look, "Listen up here fool, this is your one and only warning. Stay away from my cousin."

Carl had a look of immense fury on his face, not at all liking the way that Colt was treating him, "Don't you know who I am?! I am Carl Frost; my father owns one of the largest law firms in the region! I could have your head for this! You're future as a trainer no of even living in Kalos will be over!"

Colt gave him a bored look, "Like I care," he said shocking Carl, "I don't know who you are and personally, I don't care. I don't care who you are or who your father is but I'm not going to stand by and watch as a punk ass bitch like you hurt or threatens someone I love." He said with his hands in his pockets. The mere sight of Colt on the streets with his Pokémon beside him just impacted a more badass look upon him. The girls in the café and the ones around the street all felt their faces getting hotter and hotter at the sight of him and did their best to try and calm due to how tense the situation was.

Carl growled as he pulled out a red and white Poke ball while his two cronies did the same, "You have no idea who you are messing with! Go Scizor!" he shouted throwing his Poke ball into the air releasing the red armored, insect Pokémon.

"Crowbat!"

"Donphan!"

The other two guys tossed out their Pokémon as well, releasing the purple, four winged bat Pokémon and the grey elephant Pokémon.

All three of the opposing Pokémon landed on the streets ready for battle. To most people, the three Pokémon would have been nerve wracking in the sense that someone would have to battle them, but Colt wasn't anyone.

Colt smirked as he turned to the fire pig Pokémon at his side, "Ready to get some exercise buddy?" he asked his partner.

Ogun snorted and released a few embers from his snout, "Pignite!" he shouted excitedly before he stepped in front of his trainer.

Colt lifted Thorn off of his shoulder and set him on the ground, "Thorn, I want you to watch how Ogun and I battle. This will give you an idea of how we train so you can get yourself ready."

Thorn nodded, "Chespin." He said standing by Naomi. Colt stood back up and handed his hat over to Naomi who held onto it. He then turned his attention back to Ogun who was standing at the ready to battle the three opposing Pokémon.

Carl smirked, "You are seriously going to fight against all three of our Pokémon with just that one Pignite?! You must be some special kind of stupid!" he said with his two flunkies chuckling along with him.

Colt cracked his neck before he shrugged his coat off and let it fall to the ground. He rolled the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows, "You talk too much. And its very annoying, like nails on a chalkboard. That's how you sound to me." He said with Ogun nodding with his statement.

Naomi's friends had come out of the café and stood beside her on the side of the street to watch the battle. Martha took it upon herself to hold Thorn in her arms while they all watched him battle.

"Um, Naomi, I don't want to sound so negative, but can your cousin actually do this? I mean he's going up against three really strong Pokémon with just one." Zoey said.

Naomi released a deep breath, "Trust me, I know how this situation might look but I have seen Colt take on some really powerful trainers, not to mention he made it through the Alolan Island Challenge with just Ogun. I know he can do this." She said even though her grip on Colt's hat tightened.

Carl's face went red as a tomato, "I'll show you just what happens when you mess with me!" he said as his cronies nodded.

"Donphan, use Rollout!"

The Armored elephant Pokémon tucked its body into itself and began rolling at high speeds towards Ogun.

"Ogun, spinning sidestep then hit it with a Focus Punch!" Colt called out.

As the Donphan neared Ogun, the Fire Pig spun on his legs and avoided the attack at the last minute. His fist then ignited with a fiery orange energy that he used to slam into Donphan knocking him back and onto his side and out of its ball form.

"Donphan!" His trainer shouted in distress as his Pokémon was flung to the side of the street.

Carl growled and turned to his other crony who nodded, "Crobat, use Supersonic!"

The purple bat Pokémon flew into the air and released a loud, shrill shout that was directed at Ogun.

Colt was ready for this, "Ogun dodge and rush towards Crobat, then use Heatwave when you're near it!"

Ogun quickly dodged the sonic attack and rushed at the bat Pokémon. Once he was in range, Ogun jumped up and released a powerful wave of fiery, orange heat at the Crobat that hit it dead on. Making him lose altitude lightly but the scorch marks on the bat Pokémon were clearly visible.

"Oh no, Crobat's been burned!"

Carl growled, "Just get him back in the battle! Scizor, use Metal Claw!" he commanded.

Scizor's large red pincers took on a metallic sheen before he rushed at Ogun who stood at the ready.

"Donphan, quick use Horn Attack!"

Colt looked over and saw that the opposing Donphan charged at Ogun from the area where he fell.

Colt took a deep breath in, "Ogun, Iron Tail!" he shouted.

Just as the Donphan was about to contact Ogun, his curly black tail took on a metallic sheen to it. Ogun then spun on his feet and slammed his metallic tail into the Donphan that knocked him back over to his trainer. Ogun continued spinning until his tail impacted with Scizor's metallic claws. The impact created a large sparking impact as both Pokémon tried to overpower the other but the attacks ended in a stalemate which made them both slide back a few feet.

Carl growled as his attacks didn't work before he looked over to his two cronies, "What are you waiting for?! Keep attacking!"

"I can't! Donphan is knocked out!" the first one said.

"And I'm worried about Crobat! That heatwave attack left him burned and he's weakening slowly!"

"But he's still in the battle," Carl shouted, "If he can move then he can fight, so make him fight! Scizor, rush back in there with X-Scissor!"

The second crony grimaced, "Crobat, use Cross Poison!"

Scizor's pincers grew bright green as he rushed forward towards Ogun while the Crobat's wings lit up with purple, poisonous energy and slowly flew towards Ogun.

Colt got ready for his next move, "Ogun, wait for it." he said as Ogun got himself into a fighting stance. Just as Scizor was near him, Scizor slashed downward in an X slash with added green energy.

"Now Ogun, jump!"

Ogun listened to his trainer and as Scizor was slashing downward, Ogun evaded his attack and jumped over the Steel/Bug type and surprised Crobat as he came face to face with the Poison/Flying type.

"Iron Tail!" Colt shouted swinging his arm down.

The metallic sheen returned to Ogun's tail, and he swung with force, connecting with the poisonous wings of Crobat. Ogun's strength eventually won and Crobat was knocked down to the street below, clearly knocked out.

"Crobat no!" Crobat's trainer shouted in despair before he returned his Pokémon.

Now it was down to just Carl and Colt, the two still had their Pokémon raring to go and from the looks on both of their faces, this was going to be intense.

"Don't think that because you took down my crew that you'll be able to take me down!" Carl shouted.

Colt cracked his neck, "Let's see if that's true."

"Scizor, Metal Claw!"

"Ogun, Focus Punch!"

The two Pokémon's hands and pincers glowed with their various energies before they charged at each other. Meeting in the middle of the street, Scizor and Ogun began striking at one another with their energized attacks like two professional boxers trying to knock the other out. Scizor and Ogun hit each other's face at the same time, effectively knocking the other back over to their trainers.

Carl was fuming at this moment, "Why won't you just give up?!" he shouted.

Colt chuckled as did Ogun, "Give up? You would be surprised by home many people have told me that. I was a terrible battler when I first started out. Every single battle I had with Ogun, we lost. I hated losing and thought about giving up battling altogether. But if I did where would that get me," he said as Ogun wiped his mouth a grin formed and the Z-Ring on Colt's ring began glowing brightly, "I trained every single day, not just as a trainer but training my body as well. I worked with some of the best trainers and martial artists in Alola, gaining more knowledge and skills at evert step of the way until Ogun and I became a force to be reckoned with on the Islands. I learned through trial by fire to never give up, not on myself and certainly not on my Pokémon. And right now, you are going to see firsthand just how far we both have come!" he said as he grabbed the corner of his shirt and pulled. His coat and jacket both came off, revealing Colt's chiseled, muscular form to the surrounding people. His tanned body glinted under the Kalos sun as the people around him saw several different scars around his body and a stylized Lycanroc running along the length of his right arm and shoulder.

Many of the women around him squealed in delight or shock by Colt's actions while others were drooling at the sight of his muscular form and Naomi's friends were by no means unaffected by this.

"Hot damn! Can this man get any sexier?!" Zoey shouted.

"You got that right, that man is fire incarnate!" Sera exclaimed as she licked her lips.

"I am so turned on by this man!" Martha added in.

Naomi sighed by her friends actions as she watched her cousin battle, she had only seen him battle a few different types when they were younger but by the way he's been battling today it was clear that he had grown immensely from the last time they saw each other. And from the excited look on Thorn's face, he was seeing it too.

"It's time to show you how we do things in Alola!" Colt shouted as he crossed his arms before separating them in a wide arc over his head and crossing them in front of him with his left wrist over his right. Ogun mimicked his actions and the bright red glow of the Firium Z shined brighter, drawing the eyes of everyone around him.

"Let the fires of our Alolan soul ignite and set the field ablaze, with our blazing spirit!" Colt yelled as he dropped his arms and pumped them upward like a rising flame before thrusting his right arm forward with his hand in a claw form. The energies of both trainer and Pokémon uniting as one to unleash a powerful move that has never been seen before on the Kalos shores.

"Unleash your fire, Inferno Overdrive!"

The combining Z energy merged with Ogun and the lights surrounding the area grew with more intensity, Ogun summoned his fire power and called forth an enormous fireball above him. Carl and Scizor's eyes widened in fear at the sight of the large fiery power while Naomi and her friends looked dumbfounded at the sheer power that Colt was exhibiting. Even Thorn had stars in his eyes from the sight that was before him, even visualizing himself doing a powerful move like that.

Once the fireball was large enough, Ogun flung his arms forward and launched the fireball at Scizor. The fireball impacted with the Steel/Bug type, engulfing him in a mountain of fire. The fire soon died down revealing a burnt and exhausted Scizor with scorch marks all over its body. Scizor fell to the ground with the familiar swirls in his eyes indicating that he had been knocked out.

Carl got over his stupor and looked down at his fallen Pokémon, "No!" he shouted in despair before falling to his knees while his crewmates hung their heads in sadness. Colt congratulated Ogun for a job well done and gave him an Oren Berry to help him recover his energy and a Tomato Berry as well.

"You've earned this buddy. Great job today." Colt said to Ogun with a smile. Ogun nodded and began to eat his berries. Thorn had jumped out of Naomi's arms and used his vines to grab Colt's fallen shirt and coat. While they were a bit heavy for the small grass type, but he was able to make it over to his new trainer.

Colt smiled as he caught his clothes, "Thanks Thorn." He said patting his new Pokémon before he redressed. He then knelt down to look his new partner in the eye.

"Well, what did you think Thorn? This is how me and Ogun battle. We don't just train how we use moves but we also train our bodies so we can be physically ready for whatever comes our way."

"Chespin! Chespin Chespin!" Thorn cheered happily as he raised his arms, almost mimicking the motions of his Z-Move.

Colt laughed before he lifted Thorn onto his shoulder, "Don't worry buddy, with enough training we'll get you strong enough to where you can handle a Z-Move." He said with Ogun agreeing with him. Thorn seemed happy about that and cheered.

A pair of arms threw themselves around Colt's midsection, he looked down to see his cousin hugging his side with a large smile on her face, "Colt that was amazing! I knew you were strong, but I didn't know you were that strong!"

Colt laughed and hugged his cousin back, "Well a lot has changed since the last time we saw each other. Sorry about the whole flashing my chest thing." He said rubbing the back of his head.

Naomi giggled, "That's okay, the girls seemed to enjoy the view," she said pointing to her friends who all had their eyes glued to him, "And the way you used your Z-Move with Ogun was hot!"

Colt nodded, "Well, it's a move that we have been working on for a long time and from the looks of the effect, we have a good handle on things. And that is what's going to get me to the top of the Kalos League." He said clenching his fist in a silent promise. All the hard work that he had done back in Alola had all led to this moment. He had prepared himself to cross the ocean to come to a whole new Region to test his skills against trainers he had never seen before. But here he was and he was going to use everything in his arsenal to take the top of the Kalos League.
