Chapter 21 - Last Final Journey
In the previous chapter, Yuya Sakaki, the second mentor of Jerry Mouse, was finally made amends with Yusaku, accepting him as Hazel's love interest. But later that night, Sumi appeared before Yusaku, trying to catch him but she failed when Hazeline along with Jeru to stopped her. Sumi recognize her as Gardina, her virtual secret identity, due to their strong resemblance. In the end, Hazel knocks her down on the ground. After that, she leads Yusaku back to his home. The next morning, Jeru received a phone message from Hazel, saying that she will gonna proposed to Yusaku before she will gonna returned back to her real home, the Green Planet.

After Jeru receiving the message from Hazel, he was surprised that she will gonna married to the one whom she truly loves for although Yusaku didn't know about the secret yet.
Later, the two were eating breakfast. While eating, Jeru asked him " Um, Master Yusaku. Can I asked you for one more favor? "
" Yes, and what is it? "
" Well.. it was been a long time that you had raised me as your secret apprentice.. and I knew that you are so very important to me.. even though we are different from each other.. you really looked after for me even though all the hard times.. and I wished that.. "
This makes Yusaku was very curious. Jeru continues on " I wished that.. I will gonna have a parent to looked after me.. in which no other than you, Master. "
He was surprised " Wait.. are you saying that.. I will gonna be your foster adopted parent? But why? "
" Is because.. you treated me kindly.. like a real son.. you are more than a mentor.. Shall I called you from this day forward, Dad? "
In which, he placed the spoon and fork on the table, stood up from the chair and went to Jeru's side and that very moment, he hugs him with a smile on his face.
" Of course, I will be always to looked after you.. Jeru, my son. "
" Daddy Yusaku " and he cries
Yusaku tapped his hand on Jeru's head.
Note - This is the start of a father and son relationship of Yusaku and Jeru.
After their first family moment, Jeru said to him " Oh, by the way.. Hazel told that you will gonna come to the Den Park later at night. "
" She did? But why? "
" It was a secret surprise, Dad. " with a happy smile on his face
" Oh, I see about it. I guess I'm feeling excited for that. "
" Sure "
" Oh, we have to finished breakfast right away. "
" Okay then, Dad. "
And they continued eating, Jeru thought on his mind, with excitement on his face " If Yusaku will be foster adopted father, so then.. Hazeline will gonna be my foster adopted mother.. Man.. I can't wait for this wonderful moment.. "
Later at school, Yusaku tells to Theodore about of what happened.
" Really?! Jeru will be your foster adopted son? But you are way too young to become a parent. " with a surprise expression on his face
" Well, I have to accept it even though he was created through from me. He was more than my secret apprentice.. as my own son. "
" Oh, I had understand. Hey, by the way, I have some great news that I will gonna tell to you. "
" What is it? "
" The police forces had already tracked down the crime organization in which that man eater Miss Sumi Akano works at. All of them were arrested and that it was included the mastermind. "
" Who told you about that? "
" Varis did. He tell that news to me this morning. "
" I see.. and how about Sumi Akano? "
" She was placed in a well secured prison headquarters and of course, she was held guilty.. through death execution.. "
" Thanks goodness relief.. now, I'm finally free from her.. she had deserved to be dead rather than to be stayed alive. I don't want her to be in my life anymore... again.. I wanted to lived in a normal and peaceful life.. " in a serious tone voice manner
" I had understand of what you had truly feel, Yusaku... all those traumatic experiences with her.. "
" But.. my heart and love will be belonged to my only life savior.. and my only true love.. Hazel.. " while he hold the locket necklace through his hand
And Theodore smiled, had realized that Hazel was the right woman for him.
" Oh, by the way.. shall we go to the Den Park later afternoon? "
" Sure, no problem. "
And the two went in to their respective classrooms.
Later that night at the Den City, every Link Vrains duelists were gathered around at the park monument, including Kolter and his younger brother Jin with the exceptions of Yuya and Jerry.
Hazel was there, standing at the center, and she wears a green dress.
When Yusaku was not arrived yet, Theodore arrived in, along with his close friend Miku.
" Where was he? " Hazel asked him
" He was on the way, Hazel. Jeru had blindfolded him with a handkerchief. "
And he tapped his hand on her shoulder, said with determination " Good luck "
" Sure, I will make Yusaku happy as usual."
Then, he went to Kolter and the company.
A few minutes later, Jeru arrives in along with Yusaku, had been blindfolded.
" Can I removed off the handkerchief, Jeru son? "
" Sure thing, Dad. "
And he removed off the handkerchief from his eyes. But then, he was surprised that Hazel was standing in the center, went slowly approached to him.
" Hazel, what is this? Are you will gonna say something to me? "
She stepped in a little bit, deep breath and said " Well actually.. I have to tell to you that it was very important. "
" And what is that? "
" I know you are not very curious but somehow, I just wanted to make you happy as usual.. and of course to love and take care of you. "
This makes Yusaku was very curious of what she had said. Hazel gets something from her pocket, a small box.
That very moment, she kneel down before him, opened the box, revealing an engagement ring.
Upon seeing this, Yusaku was surprised.
" Will you marry me, Yusaku Fujiki.. I mean.. Playmaker? "
Everyone were acting in excitement even Jeru as well.
A few minutes, he responded with tears " Yes, I will! I will! "
And everyone were happy with joy even Kolter as well, wiping his tears with a handkerchief.
After that, she placed the ring on his finger and then they shared a romantic hug.
" Finally, I had found my foster adopted mom at last.. " Jeru thought on his mind
" I had never expected that to happen.. I couldn't believe it.. " Yusaku said to her
" Is because I will be going back to my home planet this month. "
" It was? But why? "
" It was a long story.. to finished a special mission in outer space.. I guess.. "
Yusaku smiles in a happy manner, holding the engagement ring on his finger, said " I will gonna cherish it, my love. When it finally comes, I will be a better husband to you and even to Jeru and to be our future children.. "
" Of course " and they shared a romantic kiss
Everyone were acting in romantic manner.
" When you will gonna come back? "
" Anytime, my beloved.. " with a loving smile on her face
And they holding hands together
And so, exactly the next day Hazel had finally left planet Earth. Before she left, she bid farewell to her fellow workers and her foster adopted parent. Also, she said goodbye to the Link Vrains duelists as well. Lastly, she bid goodbye to her new family Yusaku and Jeru.
(A few months later)
After Hazel departed from planet Earth, Yusaku along with the other duelists were been participating in the Duel Competition, in which every duelists from across the globe will gonna face to face, in order to gained the championship title. The creator of Duel Monsters, Maximillion Pegasus was acted as the host for the competition. Also, the main judges were the well known and strongest duelists in which includes the King of Games: Yugi Muto (Duel Monsters) and his arch rival Seto Kaiba, Yusei Fudo (5ds) and his arch rival Jack Atlas.
But much to Yusaku and Jeru surprise that they had seen the crossover engaged couple Jaden (Judai) Yuki (GX) and his future wife to be, Serena (Usagi) Tsukino or also known as Sailor Moon were went on stage, to be acted as one of the main judges for the competition as well.
" No kidding me! The strongest Fusion Duelist and the powerful legendary warrior.. I don't believe it.. " Jeru said in a surprise manner
Then, Yusaku sees Jerry Mouse and his second mentor Yuya on the other side, waving hands.
The two went approached to them.
" Hey, how are you? " Yuya asked Yusaku
" Seems fine. I had never expected that these two will be here.. " Yusaku said in response
" Actually, these two are my secret apprentice's foster adopted parents. " Yuya said to them
The two were surprised of what he had said.
" It was? " Jeru asked
" Yep, it was " Jerry said, with a happy smile
" I guess we are even.. too bad my foster adopted mom was not here around.. to be cheered for me and my dad. " Jeru said, with a little upset expression on his face
" Oh, you mean Green Lantern Girl, huh? " Jerry asked
" Mhmm.. but she promised that she will gonna come back someday. " Jeru answered
" Oh, I see.. " Jerry uttered
" So.. are you will gonna joined in the competition? " Yuya asked
" Yes, I am and you? " Yusaku responded
" Same goes for me. Good luck to both of us. " Yuya said, with a thumbs up
" Sure " with a smile on his face
After a few moments later, the Duel Competition has finally begun. Each of the duelists were struggling to win in order to move to the next round. But for Yusaku and Jeru, they were able to passed until they were reached to preliminary final rounds.
A few weeks later, the preliminary final rounds was begun. But in the end, only Yusaku and Yuya were able to made to the final spot.
The final duel was getting more intense than ever. However in the end of the round, Yuya was declared as the new champion of the Duel Competition.
After the duel, Yusaku went to Yuya and said " Congratulations, you did your best. "
" You too "
And the two shaked hands together.
The Duel Competition was ended. At the outside of the arena, Yusaku and Jeru were walking along with Cal Kolter and Theodore.
" You two did well job great. " Kolter said to them
" Thanks a lot " Jeru said, with a smile
" So, shall we take a break then? I'm getting hungry. " Yusaku asked
" Of course, let's go in the restaurant at the next corner. " Kolter said in response
But much to their surprise, they seen Hazel was standing at the center, smiling.
" Miss Hazeline.. she's back?! " Theodore wondered in a surprise manner
" I'm back, everyone.. " Hazel said, with a smile on her face
When Yusaku sees her, he rushed to her, hugging her in embraced.
" I had never thought that you will never come back here so soon. " with crying expression on his face
" I know but I had fulfilled my mission back from my home planet and also, they were gonna allowed me to stayed for longer.. to be with you and Jeru as well. "
" You promised that you will never leave me? "
" I will "
The two shared a romantic kiss. Jeru, was also crying but with happiness on his face, that Hazel had finally went back home in planet Earth again.
Jeru narrated " After the competition, Hazel had finally returned back here in planet Earth, to be stayed as one family.. me and my foster adopted father Yusaku. A year later, my dad was finally graduated in his high school years. He was 18 years old at that time. My foster adopted mom was there as well, watching at him. A few months later, they were finally became married couple.
Despite they were married, they have to continued their responsibilities as the defenders of the world and the entire universe as well. For me, I have my own responsibilities as well not only as a strongest duelist but also as a hero. Somehow to me, these two were the best parents ever, even though they are different from each other.. from different worlds.. they will never be apart.. through their strong faith and love to each other.. "
The next day, both Hazel and Yusaku were in Link Vrains (as Green Lantern Girl and Playmaker) were flying with each other together in the skies and they were holding hands, going to their next destination.
