'But I don't want to go on bed rest!' Rapunzel exclaimed.
'Miss Rapunzel, the baby inside of you is taking a toll on your body, you must rest for a while.' The doc replied.
'I feel perfectly fine! Besides, I have duties to this kingdom to attend to!'
'You sure? Because I've been hearing reports from your staff that you've been looking extra tired lately.'
'Well, running a kingdom isn't exactly easy business!' Rapunzel replied.
'Moving on, the health of you and your unborn child are very important. I'm insisting you go on rest for a few weeks. Then after those few weeks are up, I'll see if you should return to your duties. Now don't give me that pouty face, I'm sure if I brought your husband in here, I'm sure he would agree with me!'
Rapunzel knew she was beat. 'Ugh. Okay fine! I'll go on bed rest for a few weeks.'
The next day, Rapunzel figured bed rest would be easy, just sit around and read books, she figured it'd be okay.
Around lunch, she started feeling bored. Then when her lunch was brought in, she saw a note that said:
'Just an encouraging note for someone who's probably having a bad day, it's not as bad as you think! I'll see you tonight! Your loving husband, Eugene.'
'Aw thanks! Still doesn't help my boredom though.' She thought after reading the note.
That evening
'Hey! How was your day?' Rapunzel asked when Eugene walked in.
'Uh, well let's see. Part of the kitchen caught fire, I had to settle a very intense debate between 2 landowners, Max and Lance made a mess in the courtyard which took a while to clean up. Yeah, a difficult day. Yours any better?' Eugene replied.
'To be honest, I've been bored all day! I read and reread books, I painted a few sketches, I napped. Like, how am I going to get through these next few weeks?!'
Sitting down next to her. 'Well, it won't be easy, but your health and the baby's health are very important. I'll try to make things easier for you, I'll drop by to see you during the day if I can, and we could have lunch together. And, I'll try to give you some work to do if you're up to it.'
Giving him a big hug. 'oh thank you thank you! (smooch)' Rapunzel cheerfully replied.
'(chuckle), Anytime, Sunshine'.
