Chase walked back into the camp site.
Ryder was comforting Marshall who held his head on his chest. Everybody looked at Chase with sadness and fear. If he is able to hurt Marshall emotionally then he is able to do something far worse. Even Chase's best friend and brother isn't safe with him.
Chase looked away with shame. Everest asked:" What should we do now?" Ryder said:" I don't know. Chase isn't cabable to be here. In early morning we turn back and back to Adventure Bay. There we'll try to help him." Pups nodded. Chase said:" Sorry to ruin this hike. I looked forward for it but...looks like there is something very wrong with me." Skye looked at him. "Why did this happen?" Skye asked. Chase said:" I don't know what happened. But something orders me to hurt others. I don't know how to explain." Rocky said:" Then don't. Even when we know what is causing this we can't help you. You hurt your best friend without even second thought." Chase said:" You're right. I was cause of my control over myself. How should i have known that i was the only way to keep this gem piece alive?" Rocky said:" We need to return to that forest. Maybe Faith can help us." Other pups nodded, expect for Everest who has never heard of her (and Drew, who didn't know what they were talking about). Chase shook his head and said:" We can't. But i will." Ryder said:" You won't go there on your own." Chase said:" And i don't want to hurt anyone again. I even hurt Marshall." Skye said:" You need our help. I'll die for you...i mean... we'll die for you." Pups nodded. Ryder said:" Chase, i know it's hard to control yourself but you need us. It's what we all promised to each other. To be at each other side even when things get hard." Chase looked at Ryder and nodded. "Alright then," Chase said:" But everybody needs to be careful around me."
Next morning they started to return to the starting point. "Sorry about wasting your time," Ryder said:" I thought that it was good for them." Madeline said:" It's alright."
Chase saw Marshall walking out of the road and he followed him. Suddenly he had another will to hurt him. Chase froze and tried to fight it. Marshall turned around and gasped. "Why you are following me?" he asked. Chase then growled at him and jumped.
"Where's Marshall?" Rubble asked. "And Chase?" Skye said. Ryder shouted:" Oh no!" he turned around and started to run.
Marshall dodged Chase but he got hurt to his right side. Marshall started to check his wound when Chase started to run towards him. Marshall started to run. Then he noticed that they were near the cliff. He turned around and said:" Leave me alone, Chase! Please, fight this!" Everybody reached there and Ryder shouted:" Chase! Step away from Marshall!" Then Chase pushed Marshall over the edge. Everybody gasped and Everest ran towards the edge of the cliff and jumped after Marshall. Ryder ran towards Chase and pinned him down. Pups looked over the edge and sighed from relief. Everest has taken her gear and now she had Marshall on her back and her hook was between the rocks. She lowered herself towards the ground and shouted:" We'll find another way! You guys go ahead!" Skye nodded and turned to Ryder:" They are fine." Ryder let Chase go and German Shepherd rose up and ran away. "Chase!" Ryder shouted after him. When Chase was far from them but close enough to them to hear him, he said:" You saw what happened? I was ready to kill my best friend. I better go and never see anyone again. It's the only way to save yourselves from me." "Chase!" Ryder shouted as Chase ran into the forest. Boy ran after him but he lost the sight of him. Pups asked:" What now?" Ryder said:" I don't know. We should go and see Faith, i guess." Pups saw that he was shocked.
Marshall and Everest went into the cave to rest. "How are you feeling?" Everest asked Marshall. "Good," then he started to groan in pain. He put his paw to the wound on his side and felt something wet there. He took the paw near his face and said:" I'm bleeding!" Everest saw blood on Marshall's paw. "I hope that we can go to the hospital right now," Everest said as she cuddled to his left, unhurt, side.
They were like this for some time and then Marshall stood up. Everest followed his moves and then Marshall stumbed. Everest ran front of him and without any warning their noses met. Marshall then backed away and shouted:" I love you! I didn't meant to." Then both of them started blushing. Everest asked:" But did you meant those word? Do you really love me?" Marshall asked quietly:" I actually did it? I said that to her?" He looked right into Everest's eyes and said:" I do. I had feelings for you from the day we met. I never had a gut to tell you." Everest wagged her tail happily and shouted:" I dreamed about this moment! Expect for bleeding thing. And Chase going crazy."
Marshall asked:" Do you want to date me?"
