Writer's Notes: Thank you Roxhall for your review! Hmm. Oh Edward, yes, the only Cullen that hasn't gotten a romance yet, LOL. Blair certainly doesn't have much to stand on other than her parent's money. Jake the hunky sweetheart. *smiles* This is a longer chapter, nearly 8,000 words, my bad, but hey, this was a super fun chapter for me. *grins* As always, I appreciate everyone! Don't forget to follow, favorite, and leave reviews letting me know what you think! Until next time!

Bella Dwyer, ballsy indeed. The Washington native knows how to withstand a shark's party. Be careful Queen B, Bella might be the woman to dethrone you. Looks like Nate is even impressed. Rumor has it, Nate is getting rather bored of you B. Xoxo- Gossip Girl

[Saturday: Upper East Side Shopping District]

"You know, my idea of spending time with you was a bit different than what we're doing." Jake said, lacing his fingers with Bella's as they walked down the street in Upper East Side.

Bella smiled. "I know. We'll get there. I promised mom that I would pick up the handbag and shoes she ordered while she was out of town. I figured we could get some lunch since I know you're starving."

Jake smiled. His plane landed an hour ago, and after going through the airport, and just the travel in general, he was hungry. He was wearing a pair of plain jeans, a white t-shirt, with a short-sleeved button up that was open down the front. If this was Washington, and out in La Push, he would be wearing sandals, but he was wearing converse for New York. He had his hair down for a change, and it was long, going past his shoulders just a little. "Food does sound amazing."

Bella knew Jake too well. Despite going to separate schools, they were really close. Charlie and Jake's dad, Billy, were best friends, so it was natural that Jake and Bella got close too, until it blossomed into something more, and they were pretty much inseparable until she was forced to move here. They stopped in at the boutique and Bella offered a smile to the lady at the counter. Her nametag said Hannah, and Bella remembered her from the last time she was in here a couple days ago. "Hey Hannah. Mom said her order came in today. She's in London with Phil." She said.

"Of course, Miss Dwyer. Give me just a moment, I'll go get that from the back." Hannah said and disappeared. Hannah was a sweet girl. She was in college, obviously, and her bright blonde hair matched her pale blue eyes. She was a little taller than Bella was too.

"Did your mom seriously spend 600 dollars on a purse and shoes?" Jake asked, raising a brow.

Bella nodded. "She did." She said and smiled at Hannah when she returned. "Thank you."

Hannah nodded, smiling friendly. "Of course. You're welcome. Tell Mrs. Dwyer that our fall collection just hit, and she's more than welcome to go ahead and be one of our first to order."

"I'll tell her. Thanks again." Bella said, taking the bag with her mother's things in it and left with Jake. "Everything here is ridiculously expensive." She said as they walked down the sidewalk towards the little bistro that Bella and her mom ate at yesterday before Renee left out with Phil. They were going to London for a mini vacation before the season started back up for him with the Mets.

Bella walked in and smiled at the hostess, a shorter, young woman, with dark hair and eyes. "Two. Dwyer." She supplied.

The girl nodded, looking at something at her podium and then smiled. "Right this way." She said and walked with Jake and Bella towards a table and set menus down for them. "Your server will be right with you." She said and left Bella and Jake to themselves.

Jake looked around. "You realize you just brought us to probably the fanciest bistro I've ever been in." He said and looked at the menu. "Who spends 26 dollars on a meal?"

Bella smiled. "I know. I've had a summer to adjust, and I'm still not adjusted. Kills me inside just a bit, but I'm trying not to be ungrateful. Mom wants a better life for me, and so…here we are." She mused a little and looked at the menu. "I had a pepperoni calzone here last time. It was really good."

Jake looked over the many, many items on the menu, and decided on the calzone in the end anyways. Bella was typically really good at food choices.

The waiter came over and took their order and disappeared.

"So, how's all the guys on the rez?" Bella asked, sipping her water.

"You know, same old stuff. Embry shaved his head."

"What? No way." Bella said, shocked.

Jake nodded. "It was a dare, he cried. His hair was his pride." He said with a smile.

"Bella?" A voice called to her.

Bella glanced up, seeing Serena. "Oh, hey Serena." She said and stood and did the little girl hug deal. "I thought you had a date today."

"I did, and tinder sucks." Serena said with a sigh. She glanced to Jake. "And this is…your date?"

"This is Jake, my boyfriend." Bella introduced as she sat down.

Serena blinked a few times. "Oh, wow. Okay. Hi, I'm Serena van der Woodsen." She said with a smile.

"Ah, the elusive Serena." Chuck's voice sounded and Bella sighed, shaking her head.

"Of course, I couldn't go a day without him popping up." Bella muttered.

Serena rolled her eyes. "Not being elusive Chuck, I just don't like you." She bit back at Chuck, who was walking in with Nate. "Bella, I'm going to go run away now, best of luck, I'm sorry for abandoning you." She said and then was dashing away.

Bella looked at Jake. "I'm so sorry. Maybe we should have eaten at the manor." She said, and then when Chuck wandered over with Nate, she put on her best fake smile, and looked up at Chuck when he approached. "Chuck Bass."

"Bella Dwyer." Chuck greeted. "You ran out of school yesterday before I got a chance to talk to you about something…. very interesting."

"I'm sure it wasn't that interesting Chuck. You just like to hear yourself talk, so you prey on all the girls that will give you the time of day. I unfortunately don't have the time of day." Bella said to Chuck.

Nate laughed, slapping Chuck on the back. "She's got you pegged." He said and then leaned down and kissed Bella's cheek, greeting her. "Hey Bella." He said with a smile.

Bella smiled at Nate. "Nate." She said with a nod. "I would love to sit here and chat with both of you but I'm clearly, very busy."

Chuck looked at Jake, and pulled a chair up, sliding it over to the table.

Bella sighed. "Here we go."

"You are not from around here." Chuck said, studying Jake.

Jake raised a brow, looking at Bella. She clearly knew who this tool was, and she wasn't friends with him from the way she responded to him. "What gave you that impression?" He asked, smiling slightly, but before Chuck could respond, his phone rang. He sighed, pulling it from his front pocket on his jeans. "It's dad." He said to Bella, and then stood, leaning over and kissing her quickly. "I'll be right back." He said and answered, stepping away from the table.

Chuck's mouth turned up in a smile. "He's your date. Is that the best you can find on Tinder?"

"Chuck, not everyone surfs Tinder for victims. His name is Jake, he's my boyfriend of 2 years now. He flew in to visit, and we don't have a lot of time together as it is."

"A boyfriend." Chuck made a hmm sound.

Jake returned a short while later, walking over, and Chuck made note of this.

"I know for a fact you left Wednesday with Cullen in his car. Girls just don't leave with Cullen unless they're going home with him." Chuck said, a little louder than he needed.

Jake heard him but didn't say anything right away. "Dad says hi, he loves you, and to make sure I take lots of pictures of New York." He said, as he sat down, and then turned his attention to Chuck. "Cullen. This must be the guy that you kissed babe?"

Bella nodded, her eyes going back to Jake's. "He is."

Jake looked back at Chuck. "Well, as much as I find you entertaining, Chad,"

"Chuck."

"Whatever. I would like to have lunch with my girlfriend before I take her back home and have…desert. It was nice meeting you." Jake said.

Nate stifled another laugh but set his hand on Chuck's shoulder and looked at Bella. "Have a good lunch, Bella." He said and steered the baffled Chuck away, from their table.

Bella looked at Jake apologetically. "I am really sorry."

"No need." Jake said with a smile, and then smiled at the waiter when he brought the food to the table.

When they finished their lunch, Bella paid, and they left, going back down the street, holding hands. He paused to pull her to him, and kiss her softly, his arms around her waist, holding her to him.

Bella smiled, looking up at him. She saw how wonderful he was and how understanding he was and how patient.

"Bella." Another voice called.

She sighed, closing her eyes, and leaning her head against Jake's chest before turning and staring at Edward. "Hello Edward, Aly."

Edward was walking with his sister, Alice, who everyone referred to as Aly. They were toting shopping bags, and it seemed that Aly was using Edward as his mule.

"Jake, this is Edward Cullen." Bella said with a nod. "Edward, this is my boyfriend, Jake."

Jake took in Edward's appearance. He could see the attractive value in him.

Edward nodded, offering a kind smile. "Nice to meet you." He said and then looked at Bella. "I apologize for the interruption. You two have a great day." He said and then winked at Bella before moving around with Aly, who had been on the phone, talking a mile a minute to someone.

Jake raised a brow and looked at Bella. "That's the guy?"

"Yes." Bella said with a sigh. "I'm sorry. He's a nice guy. He really is." She said as they started walking again. "At the party, it was a truth or dare situation. You haven't met her, and I hope you don't because she's literally a nightmare to deal with, she dared me to get spanked by him."

"Oh, so this was a very naughty truth or dare." Jake said, nodding. He felt the spike of jealousy in him. "Well, he's hot." He admitted.

Bella snorted. "Don't do that."

"Don't do what?"

"Dismiss everything." Bella said and looked up at him. "I love that you're so understanding…but you have to be upset with me."

Jake sighed. "I'm upset with the distance. That's all. I knew that with this distance, some stuff would happen. It's not like you fucked the guy."

"I wouldn't do that." Bella said.

"I know, and I trust you." Jake said and then stopped and looked at her. He reached a hand up and brushed her hair back, framing her face. "I love you. Besides. I'm not so close-minded Bells. If I was, then what we did with Jared, would not have happened."

Bella smiled. "You brought it up. You miss him. Don't you?"

Jake sighed. "Yes. Oddly." He said and they started walking again, hands linked.

A town car pulled up and Bella stopped. "This is our ride." She said and opened the door.

"You have a car that just randomly pulls up wherever you are, and picks you up?"

"Yes." Bella said with a nod, and laughed when he shook his head, before getting in the car.

Hey Upper East Siders, seems like Chuck needs some ice for that burn he received from Bella's hot hunky boyfriend. Careful Chuck, Jake is twice your size, and it seems like he the bite to back up his bark. Xoxo- Gossip Girl

[Dwyer Manor]

Bella and Jake made it inside, and Bella put her mom's bag on the table in the dining room, before leading Jake up the stairs to her bedroom. Once they were behind the closed door, his hands were on her body, unzipping her sundress, and letting it pool to the floor. His mouth drinking hers in, as she got him undressed too. His strong arms hoisted her up, carrying her over to her bed, and he laid her out, his hands freeing her from her bra, and panties, leaving her completely naked for him to taste. His tongue moved against hers, in a wild passion, the heat so intense between them. His mouth traveled, going over her nipple first, before continuing down, his mouth settling against her moist core, his tongue driving against her clit, sending her reeling and wanting so much more. He hooked two fingers inside her, driving into her at the same time his tongue continued its pleasured assault. She felt herself rising, and she moaned out, her hands tangling in the sheets around her, and she burst open, shuddering when she did, and she orgasmed. Jake drank her in, still pushing her a little more before he flipped her, getting her on her knees. His hands gripped her hips, as he slid his hard shaft inside her, feeling her clench tight around him, her fluids sliding over him, wetting his tip. He sheathed himself in her all the way to the hilt, and let her feel his size, and what he was about to do to her. He pulled out almost all the way before thrusting into her hard, and she gasped, the mixture of pleasure and pain biting her, and she closed her eyes. This was a sort of punishment for her. The roughness, she knew that he was too calm about Edward, but she enjoyed this sort of punishment too much sometimes. He didn't say anything as he did that again, slow like he had the first time. Then he picked up the pace, slamming into her hard and deep, the weight of his balls hitting her clit, and she was close to spilling over again and he stopped, leaning over her, his mouth close to her ear.

"Don't cum yet." He murmured, before thrusting into her hard again, getting a gasp from her and she shuddered. He pulled out of her and flipped her over again, on her back, he lifted her legs, pushing them onto his shoulders before he rammed into her again, filling her up again. He pushed her to the edge again, the hard thrusts biting into her, but he drew back again, the frustration of her climax still there, and she groaned, but she took it. She deserved this much. "Do you want me to make you cum baby?" Jake's voice asked lowly, husky even.

Bella nodded. "Yes." She said, and then he grabbed her hands, pinning them above her head, his mouth going to hers, kissing her hard as he thrust into her harder than normal, the pain biting her a little more than she was used to, but she ignored it, letting the pleasure take over as he pumped into her deep, fast, pushing over her edge finally. He felt her clamp around him as she shook under him, her orgasm shattering her and washing over him. He felt his essence draw up inside, and he was pushing close to his own release, and he continued to push, repeatedly, until he felt it enter his shaft. He pushed his hips against hers deep, his cock spurting his hot sticky liquid inside her deep in her core, his tip pressed the right buttons and she released again, moaning as their fluids mixed together. His mouth went to hers again, drinking in the pleasured moans, before coming to a stop. He was panting, as was she. He pulled out of her completely empty, and rolled in the bed with her, pulling her against his hard chest.

Bella snuggled against him, feeling the warmth and comfort of someone familiar. Jake kissed the top of her head as his heart calmed down from their encounter. Before he knew it, he was asleep. She felt the shift, the relaxation of his body, and the change in his breathing. She lay there, thinking about everything. She waited a few moments before getting out of bed and going to the bathroom. She glanced at the toilet paper, spotting some blood, and frowned. It was a little rougher than normal, and it had been a while since they were together. She just shook her head, and then cleaned up some, before going and getting in bed with Jake, snuggling against him for a nap.

A few hours later, she stirred, feeling Jake's hands move over her body gently. He shifted, kissing her softly as they both woke up. She smiled against his lips, and then he rolled, his cock entering her. She was sore, to say the least, but she didn't say anything, only kissed him as he thrust into her. It was gentler this time. He was pushing them fast, like a furious storm of passion that wouldn't let up. He buried his face in her hair, inhaling her scent as he pushed faster and faster. He moaned in her ear, his mouth going to her neck, suckling their gently.

Bella moaned, clenching tight around him. "Jake!" She moaned, feeling herself grow close. He pushed faster and faster, until she felt the strings break loose and she was shattering around him.

Jake moaned again, his mouth capturing hers again, as his cock started to leak before his final eruption. "God," he moaned, pushing faster and faster, until he broke free, shoving inside her deep. "God, Leah…" he moaned, emptying himself.

Bella froze under him, her heart slamming in her chest.

Jake was panting a little, and he set his forehead to hers. His cock was still twitching from his release, and he realized what he said, and he was trying to reel himself in. "That's not…I've never…with Leah…"

Bella swallowed, pushing Jake off her and getting up, to her feet. "You were thinking about her."

"Maybe." Jake said and sighed, sitting up on the edge of the bed. "She's been throwing herself at me. I haven't acted on anything babe, trust me please."

Bella looked at him. Never in the two years have they been together, has he accidentally said another woman's name. "Jake…. what are we doing." She nearly whispered.

Jake looked at her. "Bella, I love you." He said, reaching for her, taking her hand, and drawing her down in his lap. "That's never changed. We've been together for two years."

"And you've never said anyone else's name but mine." Bella said, her dark eyes focused on his. "You've never said another name before. I've been gone two months Jake…. only two months."

"I know." Jake said and swallowed. "I'm sorry. I promise you I don't want to be with her like that. Never."

"But you said her name Jake. There's desire there." Bella said and stood. She pushed her hand through her hair. "I can't…. we can't. We shouldn't do this."

Jake frowned. "You want to break up?"

Bella looked at him. "Maybe. God, I don't know." She blew out a breath. She was confused, a mixture of a twisted relief and hurt.

"I don't want to lose you." Jake murmured, reaching for her again. "I don't want anyone else, but you."

Bella shook her head. "You said her name Jake." She whispered again, tears coming to her eyes.

"I'm sorry." Jake murmured and reached for again, but she moved out of the way, and she just went to her closet, pulling on her jogging pants and a hoodie, not bothering with panties or a bra. She moved back into her room, and Jake was pulling on his pants. "Baby, please let's just talk this out."

Bella shook her head again. "No. I just need some air." She said and left the room, going down the stairs and grabbing the set of keys from the garage hook. She did have a car that she could use. Phil bought it for her when she got here, she just felt weird about driving it since it was an expensive car. She just drove. She thought about everything. She was as much to blame. She kissed Edward, participated in a truth, or dare that was bound to end up like that. When she left Forks, she felt lost without Jake, but being apart put things into perspective. She had kissed someone else. Her relationship with Jake was doomed. She knew it, but somehow it just hurt inside. Losing a part of you that you've had for so long. She parked when she got to Upper East Side. There was a fountain she liked to sit at, and so she got out of her car and just went to sit. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail. She likely looked bizarre in this side of town, dressed like she was. She left her phone at the manor, and she didn't care. She welcomed the peace and quiet.

Some time went by, as she sat at the fountain, just watching the water, mostly looking at her reflection. The tears stopped. People ignored her, and she was thankful for that. It was New York, people rarely cared about other people around them.

"Bella?" Chuck's voice sounded, and he was a bit confused. She glanced over at him, and he frowned. "What's wrong?"

Bella shook her head. "It's nothing."

"You're sitting in the middle of UES, crying by a fountain wearing workout clothes." Chuck pointed out.

Bella sighed. "I just want to go a day. Chuck. Please, I don't have the energy right now to deal with you."

Chuck was silent, his hands in his pockets as he watched her. "Alright. Come on." He said, reaching out a hand.

Bella looked at him. "What?"

"Come with me." Chuck said simply. "I promise I'm not going to make a pass at you."

Bella sighed, and then took his hand, hesitating slightly as she got to her feet. He led them away from the fountain. "I drove."

"That's different." Chuck commented. "The Tesla, it's yours, isn't it?" He guessed, and she nodded. "Keys." He said, and she took them from her pocket and handed them to him. He took them and then opened her passenger door and she sat down. He got in and started the car. He was quiet as he drove away from the square. He was silent as he drove, and Bella wasn't sure where he was taking her until they pulled up at the palace hotel. He got out, tossing the valet the keys and then went to her door and opened it.

She got out and followed Chuck inside, taking the elevator to the top floor, and then got off.

"My dad doesn't do the whole, owning a house thing." Chuck commented when he noted the confusion. He used a key card to open the suite's door, and they walked inside. "Sit, I'll get you some water." He said and left her in the sitting are of the large suite. It might as well have been an apartment with how separated and grand it was. He returned with a bottle of water a few short moments later.

Bella took the water, confused why he was being nice, but she would question it later. "Thanks." She murmured.

Chuck nodded, taking his suit jacket off and disappearing into another room, leaving her to herself for a few moments before returning. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Why are you being nice?"

"It seems like I'm some prick who doesn't care, but I'm not a monster or incapable of noticing when a girl is upset. I saw you earlier and you were fine, now you're not. Something happened with Jake, I presume." He guessed. She had small bruises on her wrist, and that made him curious.

Bella sighed. "I don't know." She said and took a drink of the water. "This is too personal to even discuss with a friend let alone you."

"Sometimes, talking it out with someone you're not close to, helps more. I'm not going to judge. We all know my dirty little secrets." Chuck said with a smirk.

Bella looked at him. It was true. Truth or dare, she learned more about Chuck Bass than she ever intended. She sighed, running her hands over her face. "Okay. Jake said the wrong name during sex." She came out and said it.

"Ouch. I hate that when that happens."

Bella glared at him.

"Kidding, I'm very good at keeping my women's names' straight." Chuck said and then came to sit down across from her in the other chair. "So, he said the wrong name. Maybe it was just…"

"We've been together 2 years. He's never done that, and he said the name of a close friend of ours. One that is still in Washington." Bella said.

"Hmm. Well that one's tricky." Chuck said. "You kissed Edward." He pointed out.

"I know, and I told him about it immediately. I already felt like shit when it happened, that I'm just…"She sighed and thought about it. "He said that he doesn't think about her in that way, but he wouldn't just say her name in the heat of passion if she wasn't who was on his mind….right?"

Chuck nodded. "Hmm. Moaning out your partner's name is a passion thing. It's more so for your partner than it is for you. Let's them know they enjoyed the fun."

"Right. So why her name. Not mine?" Bella said, logically. "He said that she's been throwing herself at him, but he's never acted on it."

"Hmm. He admitted to her flirting with him to pass the blame. Look, I don't know Jake that well, but maybe just ask the other girl. You said that you were all friends."

Bella sighed. "Maybe she'll cover for him. I don't know. I don't have my phone with me."

Chuck slipped his out of his pocket, unlocking it, and handed it to her. "Get to the bottom of it."

Bella took his phone and looked at it. She sighed, and then pulled up the Facebook app. "You don't have a Facebook?"

"Nah." Chuck said with a shrug. "Just Insta." He said and then got up to go pour himself a drink.

Bella shook her head, and then logged into her Facebook, and went to messenger, finding Leah and hitting the video call. She waited a few rings and then Leah answered. She was running. "Leah."

"Hey Bells." Leah said, her voice labored from running.

"You're jogging."

"Yeah. Hold on." She said and then she came to a stopping point, blowing out a few breaths. "What's up?"

Bella looked at her friend. Her dark hair and eyes were Quileute like Jake. She was a beautiful girl. "Something happened. With Jake." She said.

Leah frowned. "Oh no. He told you, didn't he? I'm sorry Bella. I honestly didn't intend for it to happen, we were just doing the normal hang out, and then things just got intense. He said he wasn't going to tell you, but I guess he did. It was one time, I swear to you, I'm not going to let it happen again." She spilled out at one time.

Chuck raised a brow, his eyes catching Bella's. He lifted his drink to his lips, letting the amber liquid coat his throat. He hadn't been anticipating that. Jake was a liar and a cheater.

Bella looked at Leah. "You two…slept together."

"We did. God, I'm an idiot. I would never do it intentionally to hurt you Bella, you have to believe me."

Bella nodded. "I believe you." She said, shaking her head. "He didn't tell me Leah." She murmured. "He said your name during sex. I just…had to know. Um…" she fought some tears. "Thanks for telling me." She said and then she hung up the facetime call. She sat there a few moments before Chuck's phone made a sound and it was Jake video calling her on messenger. She sighed, and looked at it. She answered, seeing Jake's worried face.

"Babe, please come back home. Let's talk about this. I fucked up; I get it. But please, just come back. I love you I want to fix this."

Bella shook her head. "Leah told me Jake. Don't pretend…" She said, her voice tight.

Jake was quiet a few moments. "It didn't mean anything. You must know that. I love you more than anything. Please." He pleaded.

"It meant enough for you to call her name out Jake. I knew you were too nonchalant about Edward. When you dismissed it too quickly when you punished me for it." She let out a small sob, tears pooling.

"Yeah, maybe, but it wasn't because of her. It was because of you. Baby, please…"

Chuck frowned. What did she mean by punishment? He didn't like that, somehow, he cared, which was odd for him, but he remained quiet, until he sobs shook her. He set his drink down and walked over to her, taking the phone from her hands, as her hands shook a little. He looked at the phone. "Hmm. Royally fucked dude." He said.

Jake frowned, seeing Chuck. "She's seriously there with you?"

"Yes. Toodles." Chuck said with a wave, and hung up on him. He tossed his phone on the chair and then bent down to look up at Bella. "Hey, take some deep breaths. You'll hyperventilate if you keep going like this." He coaxed.

Bella shook her head. She felt that pain in her chest, the familiar one of anxiety, the same one she would get when her dad deployed when she was younger. She closed her eyes, just trying to disappear, but Chuck's hands caressed her face, and it broke her out of the void she was trying to fall into. She opened her eyes, and looked down at him, his dark eyes showing how concerned he was, something that she had never seen before.

"There you are." He murmured. "Drink your water. Take deep breaths. It's going to be okay."

Bella nodded, swallowing, before lifting her water and taking a big drink. "Thank you." She murmured, sniffing a little.

Chuck nodded, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket, and brushed it over her face, wiping her tears.

Bella looked at him, confused by his actions. "You're not being an ass about this."

"No need to make you feel worse than you do. Like I said, I'm not a complete dick." He muttered looking away.

Bella nodded, and then leaned forward, her lips brushing him on the cheek. "Thank you."

Chuck looked back at her, seeing how tired and hurt she still was, and then he grabbed her hands, turning them over and rolling the sleeve up, seeing the light bruising. "He hurt you."

"Oh, it's not what you think." Bella said, realizing that it did seem bad.

Chuck raised a brow. "You have marks on your body."

"Rough sex Chuck…sometimes it happens."

Chuck has had some pretty rough sex before; he would never place marks on a woman's body like that. Not bruises. Not like this, but he dropped it. "Okay."

Bella thought about how Jake had pushed her farther than normal. She wondered back to if that was because of Edward. Jake did have a temper sometimes, but never with her. He wasn't a bad guy, she made excuses for Jake. But it was over. She couldn't make promises to Jake that everything was going to be okay. Edward may have been a mistake, and she was infatuated with his smile, but she didn't have a deep connection to the guy. There were going to be dozens more parties, probably like that one, and how can she trust that Jake isn't going to sleep with Leah. A kiss was one thing, but he went to a new level with Leah, and she couldn't look past that like she could if it were a kiss. She just felt sad now, because two years was a long time to be with a person, and especially one who was literally like your best friend. Tears fell again, and Chuck's hand cupped her cheek again, his thumb brushing away the water. She looked down at him, how unusually nice he was being, but then again, he had no one to impress or keep up an image that he was this uncaring asshole, like he tried to act like. She leaned forward, her lips connecting with his. She found them warm, and he kept the kiss tame, just a brushing of their lips at first. She was thankful for that because she had no idea what she was doing. She was sitting here crying about Jake, and how her relationship was ruined now, and she was kissing Chuck. Chuck, of all people.

Chuck pulled back, and then looked up at her. "It's okay to hurt." He murmured.

Bella nodded, and then leaned back, taking a deep breath. "Bathroom?"

Chuck nodded, standing, and motioning towards where the bathroom was located.

Bella got up, and walked to the bathroom, leaning against the door, and taking another deep breath.

Chuck's phone rang, and he sighed, answering it. "Hello?"

"Dude, is Bella at the hotel?" Nate's voice filtered through the phone.

"Yes, how did you know?"

"Because Jake, the bodyguard looking boyfriend, is looking for her, and called me from Bella's phone. You didn't kidnap her or anything?"

"No, I didn't kidnap her. I found her." Chuck said. "Wait, why is he looking for her?"

"He said something about she's upset, and has an anxiety disorder, and shouldn't be alone with creeps that would take advantage of her."

"First of all, I wouldn't take advantage, secondly, I'm the creep?" Chuck scoffed.

Nate was quiet. "Is she okay?"

Chuck sighed. "I'm handling it. Tell He-man to simmer the fuck down. Bella will call him when she's ready." He said and hung up. He lifted his drink and took a drink.

Bella returned a few moments later. She splashed water on her face, and tried to sooth herself without turning into a puddle in the floor. "Chuck."

Chuck turned and looked at her. She looked exhausted, like she had been through the grinder. "You should stay. Lay down for a bit, rest." He said with a nod. "Get some quiet time to yourself."

"I don't want to be alone right now." Bella murmured. "I just…if I'm alone with my thoughts, I'll make myself go crazy. I can't go home because he's there."

"Tell him to fuck off. Go back to Washington." Chuck said with a shrug.

Bella sighed. "I've known Jake for a long time. We were best friends before…this is hard."

"Be honest with yourself Bella. You don't owe him anything. He's the one that fucked up. Long distance sucks, sure, but it isn't an excuse for him to fuck another girl, and then say I love yous."

Bella looked at Chuck. He was right. It isn't an excuse. Just like it wasn't an excuse for her to kiss someone else, regardless if they hadn't really defined anything when she left. They just never talked about it. Never talked about what distance could do to either of them. In the end, she was just as much at fault as he. That lack of communication. But it still hurt. "You're right."

Chuck blinked a few times. It wasn't often someone admitted to him that he was right. He finished his drink. "What do you want to do?"

"I want…to just make a clean break." Bella murmured. "I just want it to be over, so I don't have to feel this suffocating feeling anymore." She said and looked at him, when he handed her his phone, swiping the pass code on it to unlock it.

"Tell him." Chuck said. "Then you can spend the night here, give him time to catch a plane tomorrow, so you can be free."

Bella took his phone and looked at it. She dialed his cell number. One of the only numbers that she had memorized.

"Hello?"

"Jake."

"Baby, I'm worried about you. Come home." Jake said softly.

Bella swallowed. "I can't do this Jake. It's over. It's hard for me to say this, or do this, but I can't look past Leah. I want you gone in the morning."

"Wait, please, let's just work this out. It was one time Bella, one time. Please forgive me. Let's try- "

"I don't want to try. Jake…I'm in a different world. I'm hundreds of miles away from you. This distance broke something in me…in you. It would be selfish for me to try and hold you back. I don't want to live like this, just wondering if you're with her, or someone else, just like I don't want you to wonder those same things. I'm sorry. Please…don't make this harder than it is." She said, her voice tight.

Jake was quiet a few moments. "Okay." He managed. "I'll get a flight out early in the morning."

"Thank you." She said and then she hung up, closing her eyes. She felt this relief, like a weight lifted off her, and it was surprising. She was hurt and sad, the closure of a two-year relationship was just done. All the fun times they had together. But it was time to move on with life. She had one year left. Senior year, in the ocean of elites that would try and swallow her whole. She would stay the course. Graduated and go on to do some greater things. She had opportunities here. She as going to think about herself for a change.

"Feel better?"

"I do actually." Bella said blowing out a breath. She looked up at Chuck. "You surprise me."

"I do that from time to time." He offered a smile, and then poured himself a drink and then her, bringing it to her.

She took it, taking a drink. It was bourbon and she was thankful for that. She drank it fast, catching Chuck's curious stare. "I don't like fruity cocktails." She explained. "Bourbon or other whiskies were the go-to drink on the rez. Sometimes moonshine." She smiled.

Chuck smiled and then sat down across from her again. "Well, I prefer darker liquor myself. Blair just likes tequila, so it's at her parties more often." He said, taking another drink. "So, because I've exhausted my nice guy points, do you want me to take you the bedroom, and make you forget a few things about Jake?"

Bella raised a brow. "There it is."

"What?"

"The Chuck that I know." Bella said with a small laugh before drinking her drink down quickly. "I don't think I can physically withstand more sex today." She admitted, feeling sore. Extremely sore.

Chuck frowned. "That rough huh?"

"Sort of." Bella admitted, staring at her empty glass.

"Hmm. Okay." Chuck said and stood, and reached a hand out.

"What?"

Chuck smiled. "Trust me."

Bella narrowed her eyes a little. "Chuck, I've known you a week."

"So."

"Trust is a heavy word."

"Alright, take a gamble."

Bella studied him more. "Alright." She said, putting her hand on his and set her glass down on the table and followed him into the bathroom. He shut the door, and set his glass on the vanity. The bathrooms in these suites were insanely huge, and luxurious.

Chuck moved towards the oversized tub, that sat alone separate from the shower, and he started some water. He moved towards a cabinet, pulled some bubble bath out and poured some in the running water.

Bella smiled a little. "You want to take a bath?"

Chuck unbuttoned his cuffs on his shirt and rolled them up. "You want to take a bath." He said as a statement. He guided her over to the tub. "I'll turn around." He said, playfully, and turned his back, crossing his arms, while she undressed.

She slipped into the water, the bubbles obscuring her naked body. The tub filled up enough, and she leaned up and turned it off. "Okay."

Chuck turned around and looked at her. "So, you're going to relax." He said, and then knelt beside the tub, looking at her. "Take another gamble?"

"Sure." Bella said, watching him closely.

Chuck nodded, rolling his sleeve up higher, and moved his hand through the hot, bubble water. "I'm going to touch you, okay?"

Bella nodded, her eyes still on his. She felt his hand lightly brush her leg. It moved farther down her leg to her hip, where he drew light circles over her skin. It danced up higher on her thigh, before he nudged her legs apart slightly, and his hand found her clit. She sighed, pleasantly when he rolled his fingers over her gently. She leaned her head back against the tub as she felt the pleasure roll over her. The heat from the water felt nice against her, and she was relaxed at the same time. It was an experience she had never experienced before. Her eyes fluttered closed, as she just enjoyed his touch. His movements were expert level, and she knew why.

Chuck enjoyed watching the emotion roll over her face, the pleasure that she was getting from the experience.

Her breath hitched as she grew close. He slid two fingers inside, stroking her gently from the inside as his thumb rolled over her clit and she moaned, her hips rising slightly.

"There you go." Chuck murmured, watching the moment of climax on her face as she released all the tension, her orgasm shaking her a little. He smiled, moving his hand away. "How do you feel now?"

Bella's breathing was labored a little. Her body tingled with gratification. She was completely relaxed, not sore at all, and just pleasant feeling. "Really good."

Chuck smiled. "Fun fact. Orgasms are a natural pain reducer. Acts like morphine. Your brain releases a slew of chemicals. One of them being dopamine, the surge of relaxation you feel and just pleasure is the byproduct of that. There's some fancy words for some of the other stuff, but essentially, other chemicals help reduce anxiety and fear." He murmured.

Bella smiled. "So, you're more than just a pretty face."

"Mmm. You find me pretty." Chuck said, smiling a little. He reached over with his dry hand, and brushed a loose strand of hair back behind her ear.

Bella leaned up, her mouth moving over his, kissing him softly at first, and then their lips parted, allowing the kiss to sink further, their tongues sliding over each other. Testing the water so to speak.

Chuck pulled back after a few moments of the slow, deep kissing. "Finish your bath. There's a robe on the back of the door." He murmured and then he stood, grabbing a towel, and drying his arm off. He smiled back at her, before leaving her alone in the bathroom. He blew out a breath, not sure what had gotten into him.
