Return of the Lord of the Seas

The entire group was in stunned belief, especially Spencer and Yami for different reasons. For Spencer, Leviathan was one of the ancient gods that his home realm worshipped. To have him return like this and within the body of a child, it was unbelievable. Yami, however, was having a mental conversation with Yugi, his eyes wide as dinnere plates.

I thought Leviathan was evil! Remember when Dartz summoned him back in Atlantis? Yugi recalled, getting a nod from the pharaoh.

'Yes, I remember that day. But.. something's different. I sense no maliciousness or ill intent from Leviathan. I believe that when we beat Leviathan, we actually somehow purified him of the darkness that plagued him from Dartz's evil. To see him return and inhabiting Mokuba's body.. perhaps we can get answers after Resheph and Susiros are dealt with,' Yami replied.

I don't think we need to wait long, Pharaoh. Look! Yugi would point and Yami would turn just in time to see Resheph trying to come to Susiros's rescue, but Leviathan sensed this coming and stopped him with a powerful geyser of water that smashed into him from the boy's free hand.

Do not think I have forgotten you, Resheph. You shall face the same consequences as your partner! Leviathan growled, making Mokuba's eyes narrow in a show of righteous anger before tossing Susiros to the ground with a resounding crash.

With the female witch out of the fight, the spirit of the water god turned to Resheph, who was slowly getting up from the painful blow and attempted to use his magic again. But before he could even unleash it, another blast of water would catch him with the force of a flash flood, sending him flying into the park's lake. But he was not done yet; not by a long shot. He had looked into the memories of his charge and saw the misery inflicted upon his friends by these two and he wanted to make sure these troublemakers got the message: the teens were off-limits!

As Resheph surfaced with a gasp for air, he was suddenly swept up in a wave which wrapped around his body, leaving his head free before he was flung back onto shore and right at Mokuba's feet.

"Whoa... he's handling those two like they're nothing!" Tristan exclaimed.

"He's not an ancient god of my world for no reason, Tristan. Leviathan's power even surpasses that of Blue Eyes," Spencer spoke up, earning a gaping look from Kaiba. Even Blue Eyes was trumped by him!?

Resheph managed to look up, teeth grit in pain before his eyes widened as he gazed upon the god's vessel. "Eemposseeble.." he whispered in disbelief.

This is my only warning to you and Susiros: If you EVER come near them ever again or even start trouble in this world again, you will not get another chance... you will SUFFER! Now leave this place and NEVER come back! GO! Leviathan roared, making Resheph jump away and hurrying to Susiros's side, the two disappeared out of sight. Taking a few moments to collect himself, he turned to the gawking group of teens and gave a soft smile before speaking in a more softer tone I apologize that you had to see me in such an unsightly manner. But seeing how much trouble those two have caused all of you, it irked me. But now, hopefully, they will not return.

"At least we'll get a break from them.." Tea muttered with a small sigh of relief. She, along with everyone in the group, were getting real irritated with the two starting up trouble.

Spencer walked up to Mokuba/Leviathan before taking a knee before him, head bowed in reverence. "Lord Leviathan, allow me to be the first to welcome you back. We were wondering what happened to you after what took place in Atlantis," he spoke in a humble tone.

The god nodded in response, a soft smile upon the boy's face before he replied I thank you for the welcome, King Spencer. It has taken me awhile to regain what strength I still had afterwards. However, I am not at full strength yet, thus that is why I inhabit this boy's body.. I need the assistance from all of you. Here, he turned from Spencer to the group, who straightened a bit upon Leviathan focusing on them. From the memories of my vessel and from what has come to me through the sea's currents, I have heard of your exploits and your triumphs and how much all of you have grown ever since you were blessed by magic. I ask you help me with this task.

"What is it, Lord Leviathan?" Bakura piped up.

After Pharaoh Atem defeated, the crystal which harnessed my power has been shattered and scattered across different parts of the world. I need these pieces to my power to full once more. However... I am not the only one who is after my crystal Leviathan replied, his expression turning grim as he continued next He is simply known as Chaos. He is the embodiment of all that is dark. He has craved my power and wants it only for his desire for conquering of all that represents light. He and I have been at war each other because of his warped agenda.

"But you are the God of the Seas. Why would he want your power?" Kaiba asked next.

Knowledge is like water, ever-flowing from one to another over the eons, ever since the creation of our worlds. The same can be said for magic. I am also the God of Knowledge, having millennia of magical knowledge within me. And that is what Chaos wants from me. If he were to ever absorb the crystal fragments, he would slowly gain what power is in them, becoming more powerful with each one. If we cannot find them in time, Chaos will grow too powerful to stop and all will be lost. Both your world and that of Spencer's world will succumb to despair and shadows with him at the throne Leviathan replied, making the others gasp once more in shock at the information.

"We can't let dat happen! We got loved ones 'ere!" Joey exclaimed, punching a fist into his palm.

"Joey is right. We must find those crystal fragments, no matter what. The fate of both worlds lie in the balance," Yami would nod in agreement.

"But where do we start? They could be anywhere in the world," Tristan asked then.

Though I am just a spirit, I can sense where most of them are. However in my weakened state, I cannot retrieve them on my own. This is why I ask you all: please help me gather the fragments and help me regain my strength. I can help you locate them Leviathan replied.

"Alright, guys! We can do this! We can't let him down," Yuri nodded as he turned to the others, who nodded in agreement.

Leviathan smiled once more and nodded in thanks. I thank you all. Please, find them before Chaos does... With that, the god retreated back into Mokuba's mind, the markings vanishing before the young Kaiba started to collapse. But, Kaiba was quick to catch him, holding him close in his arms with worry in his steel blue eyes. A minute later, he awoke and smiled tiredly, showing his brother he was okay, earning a small sigh from the dragon essence wielder.

"Alright.. let's find those shards. The sooner we find them, the better," he said as he stood up, carrying Mokuba in his arms now, who was fighting not to fall back into unconsciousness.

"Yes, but first, we need to rest, Mokuba most of all," the Pharaoh nodded to his rival.

"Yeah. I gotta feelin' dat it's gonna take all we 'ave ta find dose crystal shards. But we came outta bigga spots than dis," Joey agreed with a confident smirk at the end.

"Right! If we all work together, we can revive Leviathan and stop Chaos," Tea piped up, pumping a fist.

However, little did they know, they were being watched. On his way home from a small Dungeon Dice Monsters tourney he had set up, Duke Devlin was walking home when he heard the racket and ran over to see what it was. Imagine how far his jaw dropped when he spotted his friends, along with the Kaiba brothers and two mysterious people fighting it out until Mokuba went all glowy, in his terms.

He had seen what took place when Dartz and his gang began to cause havoc with his friends. And now to see this before his eyes, he had a feeling that Yugi and his pals were going to be in for the fight of their lives if they encounter this Chaos. But he was not like them, he admitted. He had no magic to help them. I mean sure, he saved Serenity from Rare Hunters and helped the others with the Orichalcos, but...

"Duke?!" Yugi's surprised voice snapped him out of his growing lament and he whipped around to see the gang now staring at him. How the heck did they see him from the gate?! His eyes traveled from one friend to another until his eyes landed on Mokuba, who's eyes were barely but they were shimmering blue. He had been sensed out, he realized.

"Uh.. hi, guys," Duke says finally as he came out from behind the wall, looking sheepish that he had been busted. "So.. umm.. I..." 'Oh man, what do I say?!' he thought, racking his mind for ideas. But his brain seemed to be lagging, not being able to come up with anything to explain why he was there.

"Duke, how much did you see?" Tristan asked, getting straight to the point and Duke sighed in response.

"Just about everything. Kaiba and Mokuba fighting those two people, you coming in afterward and then Mokuba starts glowing all of a sudden, saying something Chaos and how he's coming to wreck our world," he says, deciding that there was no point in lying now.

Spencer rubbed the back of his head, holding in his own sigh. "Ayi caramba... we got A LOT of explaining to do, it seems," he groaned a bit.

Uh oh, busted! How will Duke take this knowledge? Find out in the next chapter!
