As soon as Anakin was asleep, Obi-Wan pushed himself back to his feet. He hadn't undressed, so all he had to do was buckle his lightsaber back onto his belt before he crept out of the tent. Even though he was still in his own camp, he took pains not to be seen. As soon as he cleared the Republic lines, he began to move faster, pushing through the trees directly towards the capitol city. Sundari was harder to sneak into than his own lines had been to sneak out of, which Obi-Wan took note of to work on with his men whenever they next had time for training.

By the time the moon was directly overhead, though, he had managed to clear the city's outer defenses and was standing outside the palace walls. With one quick jump, he cleared the wall completely, landing on a balcony. Unfortunately, the luck that had been with him up to that point seemed to desert him, as the occupant of the room climbed out of bed, disturbed by the noise. They pushed a button on the table next to the bed, grabbing a blaster as they tiptoed across the room towards the sound.

Obi-Wan hadn't realized that he had been noticed until the door crashed open, spilling light, and a dozen guards into the room, and the shadowy figure stepped behind him and held the blaster to his head. "Drop your weapon." A voice behind him ordered. If they had been alone, Obi-Wan would have been tempted to ignore the order, because he knew she would never shoot him. But the guards in front of him were much more deadly, and so he dropped his lightsaber on the ground and raised his hands. "I simply wish to talk to your Duchess." He said evenly.

They ignored him, scooping his weapon up and securing it while they bound his hands. With the light coming through the doorway, he knew Satine had realized who he was, and was simply waiting for the right moment. As they finished, two grabbed him by the shoulders and began to lead him from the room. "Leave him here." Satine ordered. "I wish to speak to him alone."

"But my lady," the Captain protested. "He is a Jedi, the leader of the army besieging our planet. He's dangerous."

"He may be the leader of our enemies, but he is still a Jedi. And they live by a code. He will not kill me while I'm unarmed. That would violate everything he believes in. Leave us be. I wish to speak to him."

The guards paused for a moment, but then bowed and left the room. As soon as the door shut behind them, Satine ran across the room and threw her arms around him. "Obi-Wan, it's so good to see you."

He smiled. "It's good to see you too, my dear. It's been too long."

She stepped back, and slapped him across the face.

"What was that for?"

"For sneaking into my room like that. You scared me half to death. And I could have killed you."

"You wouldn't have killed me. And I need your help. I have an idea to end this war. But I don't think you're going to like it."
