Spoilers: Obey Me Lesson 1
TW: Suicide
Veilara is at a bar staring at an almost empty glass of some dark liquor. Rolling the glass around watching the liquid swirl around the large ice cube. The room is poorly lit, loud and smoky. She lets out a heavy sigh as she looks back up and the blonde in front of her. The woman has a disgruntled face, anger behind her light green eyes, she is yelling about something but the words are mostly drowned out by the loud conversations and music. Veil closes her eyes and takes another deep breath through her nose, the smoke burning her sinuses a bit.
Suddenly she feels a sharp impact on her left cheek. Her eyes snapped open looking at the blonde again, the conversations around them had quieted a bit. Veil mentally groaned, she hated this kind of attention, but calming the blonde down at this point would be impossible. The blonde slammed her hands on the table jolting out of her chair.
"This is why you are perpetually alone!", the woman yelled. "I knew I was better than this but I gave you a chance out of the kindness of my heart!"
Pain showed behind Veil's pink eyes for a brief moment. The blonde continued her tirade, the dark haired woman's rose eyes hazed over again, with another slow blink she stood up and walked towards the back of the bar. The blonde yelled after her but didn't bother to follow. She pushed the back door of the bar open and the noise behind her picked back up then muffled as the door swung shut behind her.
Despite her tall stature her posture was slumped in defeat. Her head hung down inky locks covering her face. She started to feel a sting in her eyes but held it together. Looking up at the night sky the stars were barely visible from the urban alley. She did her best to mentally gather her thoughts and headed out towards the city.
Unlocking the metal apartment door she entered and flicked on the light revealing a rather disappointing living space. She dropped her keys on the counter that was littered with past due notices. Keeping work in the city was hard enough, but getting reasonable pay was nearly impossible. Before she could even make it to the bed the lights shut off.
"This sucks," she grumbled to herself. Falling back onto the bed looking at the ceiling, what was she going to do now? Was there even a point anymore? If only there was a way to escape. Her lips curved into a smirk at the thought, what was she a child? The world wasn't that kind, at least as far as she had experienced.
What was even the point of all of this? Everything was so… miserable. There was no way she was going to be able to sleep like this. Sitting up on the bed she looked around the small dark room. Suddenly she felt a twinge of pain at the front of her head closing her eyes as her hand came to hold her head.
'Help me…' a faint unfamiliar voice called out in her mind.
Her eyes snapped open at the unknown voice but nobody was in the room besides her.
"Heh…" she scoffed. "Great, now I am hearing voices." she muttered sarcastically to herself.
"Help me, huh? Pfftt, I can't even help myself." sadness in her tone. She exhaled sharply and rose from the bed moving out of the door quickly.
Traffic and city noises fill the air. She takes a step up onto the rail looking down at the water then back up to the night sky, 'it's better this way right?' The thought hangs in her mind unanswered. 'Yea…' She closes her eyes tightly and takes a step forward.
She feels a sensation of weightlessness but never hits anything. Something is wrong. A husky male voice clears its throat. Startled Veil opens her eyes. The room is full of strange men, she reflexively braces herself, narrowing her eyes. The tanned auburn haired man smiles jovially, spreading his arms in a grand gesture to fit his massive stature.
"Welcome to the Devildom Veil!"

Alright so this is the introduction to my little brain child Attic Sandwich. I hope you will enjoy it as I write it.
Though I will warn you I'm not much of a writer but the idea was to much to not put down in some way and share it.
Thanks for reading!
