The drive to mystic falls was rather a long one. How could it not my home was in a hidden city in Europe. Uncomfortable ride it was as well for half of it we didn't speak which at the beginning was fine with me but I'm usually a social person so it was starting to get uncomfortable.

Thinking back to the day I left home dad and mom each hugged me mom for a bit longer. I was their only daughter with one elder brother who was currently fighting somewhere in a city I never heard of. Daniel Nightshade was 550 years older then me and he looked to be in his late 20s in human years. He was a exact replica of my father with steel blue eyes.

I used to tease him how his eyes couldn't decide to be blue or black so opted to be steel blue in it's confusion. We were as close as any siblings could be and I missed him terribly.

Looking out the small window of Stefan's red car it looked to be a dessert road with green and dying grass with hard wire fences. A human wouldn't be able to see much at the speed Stefan was going. I turned to look at him his one hand at the wheel while the other was propped up on the windowsill with his hand on his cheek.

He looked bored like he did when he first came into father's study. It was a sad sight to see indeed. It felt like someone dried up all his happiness and was left with nothing. He looked at me from the side of his eyes and went back to watching the road.

"Why did you take my father's offer?" I asked wondering why he took this bodyguard nonsense in the first place and I was getting tired of the silence and wanted some conversation.

"Over 16 hours you finally speak" he returned in that bored tone of his. I kept my rising anger still at his monotone voice.

"You didn't seem to want to talk so I kept to myself"

"Keep it that way. Your a means to an end and if that means babysitting a child so be it".

My anger had reached it's peek and using my abilities I brought the car to a screeching halt. Stefan tried to get the car going thinking it was a fault error of the engine itself I snatched his arm and he tried to rip away but I didn't let him

"What the hell are you do-"

"Shut up!" I hissed he backed up slightly when he noticed my eyes black with just my blue irises showing. I was able to get into his mind and searched for what made him the way he is and I wished I listened.

I saw a man in a white long sleeve with blond hair and blue eyes. A girl with long straight hair and olive skin standing in what looked like a school gym. Then it blurred and I saw another man this one black hair and blue eyes you can tell he was the sarcastic type and from the looks of his sweaty face and quickly growing grey skin it was clear the man was bitten by a wolf.

It blurred again like static from a tv. Now it was just Stefan and the blond he made him drink many blood bags and wondered why he seemed reluctant to. When it satisfies the other male he bite into his wrist. Putting the red substance that was his blood into a small vial.

I snapped away from those memories putting the pieces together. I visualize his humanity switch and when I found it I flipped it on only then did I let go of his arm. He gasped coming out a trace like state and I could see many emotions I haven't seen on his face before when he turned it off. Regret. Loss. Anger. And many others as he huffed to get a grip on himself.

"What did you do to me?" He asked his black veins and red bled into his eyes something only the created and the seven could do when angered.

I shrugged my shoulders not caring about his current mood. I let the car go back to normal and Stefan realized it was me who messed with his car.

"Answer me!" He yelled not driving I glared at him but then softened at the look he gave he looked confused and so lost and from what I've seen he did lose so much. Especially the girl of his dreams the olive skin girl that I saw at the school gym.

"I simply went into your memories to seek answers on why you chose to turn off your humanity. Don't bother trying to switch it back off I basically fried it to oblivion."

"What? How is that even possible?" He raged on.

"It's simple for us from old world. You created are just a copy of what we are thanks to Esther. We don't have switches like you do...I am sorry to why you did however."

"That didn't give you the right to turn it-"

"Tell me Stefan how can you do your babysitting job if your humanity was off?" I asked him when he didn't look like he would respond I continued.

"You think you could protect me with it off? Wrong it leaves me open why and how? Simple you simply don't care what happens to me as long as you get your revenge It makes you weak. If you really wanted your revenge you will use that anger and focus on what needs to be done"

"Having emotions makes anyone weak" he cut in I looked at him and saw he was serious in what he believed and it made me feel bad for him. I shook my head.

"If that's what you feel then so be it. But tell me if having no emotions makes you weak then why is there good people in the world yes some are hard to find but from the looks of it you found several and it's because of those people they fought for their loved ones and yes they lost some of their own but without emotions they would have died in many of the situations they found themselves in they survived because they loved to see another day to be with the ones who are still living that's what made them strong having no emotions just holds you back"

Stefan looked at me not saying anything and I refused to break eye contact with him when he started the car he drove without saying anything I could tell he was lost in thought so I stayed quiet

When we arrived at our destination he called home we got out of his car. Looking up at the building it looked more like a boardinghouse then an actual house. Stepping aside me Stefan walked up the small steps it took to reach the front door. He hasn't said a word the rest of the drive when I turned on his humanity.

Slowly walking up the steps to the open doorway I looked around it felt very homey but with a tiny sinister feel to it it almost made me feel at home. Stefan vamp sped in front of me coming from who knows where blood bag in hand.

"A blood bag?' I asked I didn't mind blood bags but back home to the little of humans that know about us donated their blood in exchange for protection. Stefan rose an eyebrow when I took the blood bag from his outstretched hand.

"This is where you will be staying and going outside is not going to happen. With Klaus out and about it's best you stay inside."

"That's his name Klaus?" I asked finally having a name to put a face to the blond man from his memories.

Stefan nodded his head and beckoned me with his hand to follow him. "There are three of them currently staying in Mystic Falls Klaus his brother Elijah and his sister Rebekah. Klaus must have got wind you left Europe so he's probably on his way back."

"Klaus and his siblings staying here ...their one of the seven correct?"

"Why do you call them the seven?" He asked a bit annoyed that they had a better name who knows I thought. I shrugged and put my bags down in the room that is to be mine till who knows how long.

" because up until now we didn't know the names of Esther's children just the numbers."

"But you know their mother's name how did they even come about?" Stefan asked sitting on a neatly made bed in a warm like room we were in.

"Yes. She befriended my mother she kept her witchery a secret at the time we couldn't tell who was a witch as they concealed themselves very well. She faked a friendship and almost killed my mother. Mother was the first to find out and tried to reason with her instead she had knocked out mother and stolen my great grandfather's spell book. In that book she turned her children who we call the seven and those they created the created." I explained.

Stefan shook his head and had his arms crossed. He seemed generally interested in our story. "Your mother should've have thought twice"

I kept my remarks to myself knowing he had first hand knowledge about the betrayal that the family can cause. "Yes she should have I was only a child then a mere girl of eight years old 90 in vampire years. However she paid the ultimate price "

"What do you mean?"

'"My great grandfather Vladimir was a very careful man before his death and he protected everything with a skill hand. When Esther stole his spell book for every spell she used out of it Vladimir had made sure every spell had side effects"

"For her and her family right?" Stefan asked worried I felt bad for him then knowing he wouldn't like my answer.

"No I'm afraid. You have seen yourself the many issues your kind has. The uncontrollable blood lust emotions heightened to the point of insanity. The humanity switch. Vladimir made sure it wouldn't be easy to be what you are like those of us who are born. That is why we don't have switches or over heightened emotions. We just have advance eyesight and everything else but without that piece"

"Your grandfather seems like an asshole" I didn't say much to that for he was only part right.

"He wasn't always like that. He changed when he was bitten by a wolf"

Stefan himself couldn't add much after that. He got up from the bed and headed out the door. Before he fully left he turned towards me again.

"I apologize for acting like a dick. My brother and others will be coming soon to talk about a plan to take down Klaus. If you wish to join your help will be appreciated"

I was taken back from his apology I didn't take what he said when he didn't have emotions to heart I could sense he didn't mean it so I didn't take offense. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

"I'll gladly help in anyway I can"

I walked around the medium size bedroom it's dark furniture to the dark brown curtains. The queen size bed was also a dark brown with light tan bedding. A big bookshelf was on the far side of the wall. Books filled on each shelf.

It was three in the afternoon and Stefan has left somewhere not telling me but to stay in the boardinghouse. I sighed normally I wouldn't listen but since I'm hiding in plain sight I didn't want to take chances.

Walking out the bedroom and down the spiral stairs I decided to explore the rest of the house. Everything was very expensive all the way down to the alcohol. Mostly bourbon it looked to be the house favorite. I found the kitchen and inside was island in the middle with a fruit ball placed on top. A stainless steel fridge and oven in place.

Curious I opened the fridge and found many cut lunch meat fruits vegetables and many drinks that humans and vampires alike can drink. Nice to know they didn't store the blood bags there. I felt a rush of wind from behind me and quickly turned to the person who tried to surprise me from behind and roughly held them against the fridge.

It was a girl. She looked to the girl from Stefan's memories but this one had a sinister feel. I could feel the evil magic coming off her in waves. I held on tighter and she gasped in pain.

"Who are you and you better not lie. I can tell." I told the strange woman. She looked to be afraid I could tell that it was just an act to grab sympathy.

"Elena Gilbert" she rushed and I noticed her heart didn't skip a beat but her blood rushing rapidly told me otherwise. The created didn't know who they were messing with. I held on to one arm holding the other in a steel like grip and broke one arm.

She screamed in pain and tried to get out my hold but I was much stronger then she was. "I said don't lie! Tell me who you are or the next time you wake it will be to the burning of your own flesh."

She grunted as she gave one final push to no avail. "I survived much worse you don't scare me bitch" she hissed. I narrowed my eyes and broke her last remaining arm. She tried to vamp speed away but I knocked her down with a kick to her back.

"Perhaps. But you created never survived my kind" I grabbed her by the chair and dragged her to the living room that was close to the kitchen. She screamed and I threw her to nearest chair again she tried to escape but I pushed her back down. I summoned a rope from my hands snapped my fingers and tied her to the chair.

"Your a witch" I hissed at her accusation and saw her eyes widen at my blacked eyes only blue irises showing. My fangs bared at her and I leaned towards her angrily.

"No I am much worse" I snapped her neck knowing it wouldn't kill her. I will sit here until Stefan gets back and figure out where this girl fits in all this.
