Sasuke changed into his clothes that the hospital has so kindly cleaned for him. He paid and headed towards the station. The crowds for the spring festival had started to come in. He saw a lot of unfamiliar faces and then some familiar ones. The 5 Kages were scheduled to arrive the next day and Neji had advised Sasuke stay as far away from the Raikage as possible. It had been years, Sasuke had helped win the war, but that old man could hold a grudge.

While celebration and fun filled the air, Sasuke's heart was still heavy. Through it all he watched his son and Sakura from a distance. He wished that he had merely 5 mins with his son, but he filled his heart by hearing him mess around with Naruto's kid. When he had finally confronted Naruto about Daisuke, they had sparred in the clearing outside the village through midnight till dawn. Somehow after all those incessant blows and exhausting taijutsu, Naruto and Sasuke finally understood each other. Sakura had requested one of her inters to patch the two idiots brought in by Neji Sama and gone back to ignoring the very existence of Sasuke Uchiha.

The 5 Kage summit had been stressful to say the least. While they had no major threats to speak of, Sasuke was still on high alert. After the conference had gotten over, there was a parade and a fireworks display. Sasuke was sitting right above the special Kage pavilion. Close enough to the VIPs and still out of sight of the Raikage. It also gave him a great vantage point. He was able to see clearly down the parade stretch in the front and at the fireworks setup in the back. 4 Hyuga jounin were also stationed on building tops around the pavilion keeping an eye.

With his Sharingan and Rinnegan activated, Sasuke scanned the crowds and was relieved to find no real reason to worry. He might have paused on Sakura for a bit. Standing with Ino and Hinata, she looked perfect. She was wearing a simple white and beige Yutka with hand painted sakura flowers on the sleeves. He hair was up in an elegant bun and she had on a simple floral hair ornament. It was so simple and elegant and yet to him she looked better than any other woman in the crowd. He felt his heart flutter and put his palm over it as if to stop it from happening. He decided it was best to look away. It was almost time for the fireworks display and so he turned to the back of the pavilion and what he saw made him smile. "Che…" He went more amused than irritated. This is why people don't have kids he thought as he leapt of the pavilion and headed towards the back.

Daisuke and Boruto had decided on another one of their classic pranks. They were planning on attaching stink bombs that they had 'borrowed' from the training equipments of the academy onto some of the fireworks. Sasuke landed silently in the darkness and watched the two boys sneak around till they came to the first row of fireworks.

"Here?" Daisuke whispered

"Here!" Boruto replied

They diligently tied the stink bombs to the tips of the rockets and kept moving forward. Sasuke kept taking them off and silently following the boys. He was having so much fun that he missed the announcement until he saw the first flame of the Katon go up in the air. Not bothering with stealth anymore. He ripped the bombs off in a rush as he ran towards Daisuke and Boruto who were just realising that they were in center of layout of the fireworks

"Boruto!" Daisuke yelled looking at the sparking fuse of the fireworks as it amended towards them and rockets in the outer circle began to take off!

"Shit!" They both said together but suddenly were grabbed by a strong pair of arms and lifted off the ground but their waists.

As soon as Sasuke grabbed the boys he used the space time jutsu to move them into another dimension. The second the 3 of them fell in they saw a massive flame peek through the wormhole as the firework's flew into the sky!

"Oof!" The boys went landing on the ground surprised, grateful and then confused as they look around at the barren wasteland.

"Where are we?" Boruto asked Daisuke, but Daisuke was frozen in fear and looking behind him. When Bortuo turned he too froze, looking at a very angry jet black eyed Sasuke glaring at them.

"Ehehehe…." Boruto went

Sasuke kneeled down in font of the boys checking them "Are you hurt? Did you get brunt?"

"No… we're…. We're fine…" Daisuke said slowly "Commander San… could you please…"

"Not tell Oka san?" Sasuke asked an eyebrow raised and Diasuke nodded. "Fine…" he continued… "I won't tell yours but I will tell his…" and grabbing both of them by the ear, when he was sure they couldn't see his eyes, he used the space time jutsu to land right next to Hinata.

"I believe one of them belongs to you…" He said

"Boruto!" Hinta said shocked "I'm so sorry Sasuke, what did he do?" She said grabbing him as Daisuke ran to Sakura who looked equally shocked at his sudden appearance in the middle of the crowd

Sasuke noticed Sakura ready to punish her son… his son… their son…. and said "Nothing serious, but they could have gotten hurt… keep an eye on them will you…" He said. He might have looked into those beautiful green eyes of Sakura a moment longer than necessary before he leapt off and made his way back to the pavilion.

"What did you do?" Sakura had caught hold of Daisuke's good ear and the boy knew there was no talking himself out of this one…

"It was my fault aunty!" Boruto said. These boys were like brothers, ensuring the other never got Hirt was their number one priority. It drove Hinata and Sakura crazy trying to figure out their mischief but they found it adorable. Inojin who was standing with his mother just shook his head at the two idiots. They were in so much trouble.

"I thought it would be funny to attach stink bombs to some of the fireworks and so Diasuke came with me… but then we got into the center and they set off the fireworks and the fuse would have blown up but Commander Sasuke teleported us somewhere and then brought us back here…" Boruto finished in one breath

"Nani! Are you okay?" Hinata said checking her son for any burns or wounds…

"Naniiii!" Said Sakura twining Daisuke ear as he cried out in pain

"Aaah! Oka saan…. I'm sorry! I promise we won't do it again! Aaaah!" Daisuke cried as sakura gave him a bump on the head

"There will be no again! You are grounded you hear! Grounded for the rest of festival!" Sakura went

"Rest of the Festival? Isn't that a bit harsh?" Hinata asked

"No" Said Ino and Sakura in unison

"Oh… well in that case… Boruto you are grounded too… but you can visit Diasuke and go to the academy…" Hinata said

"And train?" Boruto asked with his best puppy eyes?

"Okay that too…" Hinata conceded

"Classic Hinata…" Ino said telepathically as she and Sakura rolled their eyes and smiled while Daisuke nursed his now red and throbbing in pain ear.

The next day the Kage's left and Sasuke was able to breath again. The first thing he did was camp out on trees near Sakura's house to catch a glimpse of both the occupants. He was pleased to see that Daisuke had been grounded and was stuck doing chores in the house. Then he looked into the wrong window.

He wanted to turn away embarrassed as Sakura stepped out of the shower wrapped in nothing but a towel, but he just couldn't look away. She was beautiful, even a blind man could see that. She was strong and fit and filled out in all the right places since childbirth. The breastfeeding he figured had helped her get more… developed… The thought of Sakura breastfeeding had him getting hot under his uniform and suddenly Daiksue yelled in the other room.

Before he knew it, Sauke had leapt off the tree and into the ground floor window of the house. He saw the weapons stand fall towards his son who was under it. In retrospect it might have been better to grab the stand and steady it but instead he had grabbed Daisuke and shielded him as shuriken, kaunai and even Sakura's old katana fell towards him. He managed to get a partial Susano up but not before 4 very painful shuriken and one kunai had embedded themselves into his back.

Sakura had a similar reaction. She had run downstairs pulling a robe around her as she went. When she reached downstairs she saw a partial Susano and a falling weapons rack. Once everything had stopped crashing around him. Sasuke released the Susano. Sakura was kneeling in front of them and Daisuke crawled up to her with what looked like a broken ankle

"Oka san, I'm sorry, I was just trying to reach the shuriken and…" Daisuke sobbed

"Shh… it's okay… " Sakura said wiping their son's eyes. She didn't have even. A second for Sasuke. "Show me your ankle…" She said stretching out his leg as he winced. When he did, Sasuke felt a pinch in his heart. He held the boy's other hand and rubbed it gently and said "You're very brave Daisuke…" Sakura's eyes flashed with rage as she looked at Sasuke for a second but went right back to Daisuke with love "Here, let me heal it…" Her hands glowed green with that magic Chakra and Daisuke's hand clenched in pain as he leaned into Sasuke who was surprised but held him while his mother healed him. Sakura was seething inside. She was angry that Sasuke was present, angry that he'd judge her for neglecting her son, angry that she kept the shuriken on the top shelf expecting Daisuke to know better, angry that her 5 year old first year in the academy was a genius who love to practice even when he was grounded and most of all angry that Diasuke was sniffling into Sasuke as she healed him. However, she focused all her energy on the ankle and it healed pretty fast. Kids she thought, they are resilient. "There…" She said finally "All better…"

Sasuke didn't even feel his own pain until Daisuke had stopped sniffling. Once she had healed it, he had picked up their son and taken him to the nearest futon and made him sit on it. "You need to get plenty of rest Daisuke…" Sasuke said seriously and Daisuke looked up at him through his long lashes. Those he got from me Sasuke thought. Sakura was sitting next to Daisuke and pulling her robe over her chest consciously. "I will" Daisuke said softly

"Good…" Sasuke said "because you need to get better soon, so that you can get back to training…" and then giving Sakura a pleading look he continued "…and if your mother agrees… maybe I could help you once in a while…" Sasuke knew what he was doing, he knew Sakura would give him hell for it later, but he got an opportunity and he took it. With the way Daisuke's eyes lit up he could tell it was a good call!

"Makotoni! Oka san! Please! Pleeeeasssseeeee can I train with commander Sasuke! Pleaaasseee?!" Daisuke went

I looks could kill, Sakura would have vaporised Sasuke on the spot but she clenched her jaw and gave Daisuke the sweetest smile ever "Of course, but only if you and Boruto train together with him… okay?"

Excited Daisuke went "Can he! Please please! Commander Sasuke! I promise, he's really good!"

Sasuke would have teared up if he wasn't… well… Sasuke…"Of course… so get better soon okay…" He said, his heart filling more than he could handle. Daisuke punched the air with a "Yataaaa!"

Sasuke smiled and got up to leave and that's when he felt the pain.

"Sasuke Sama!" Daisuke said in shock making Sakura look up. It tugged on her heartstrings to see the weapons stuck in his back but he brain told her, Sasuke had seen a lot worse. Their son however didn't know any better…

"Sasuke Sama! You are hurt also! Oka san! Please heal him…" Daisuke said holding Sasuke with one hand and Sakura with the other. They looked at each other as Sasuke's eyes searched for a shred of warmth in those beautiful green eyes that had gone cold.
