Bakugo wasn't watching where he was going since he was so fixated on the redhead. As he was about to cross the street a car came flying by, practically appearing out of thin air. They both moved in slow motion as the blond's attention was stuck on Kirishima, so caught up in the thought that he wasn't paying attention to anything around him.

The redhead yanked the other back, his heart racing so fast that it felt like it was going to tear a hole in his chest. As the car passed he had subconsciously pulled the other close, almost as a way of protecting him even if the danger had passed.

The spiky blonds face went completely pale, sick from the thought of practically getting run over. He stuck his middle finger out at the car in annoyance. "Watch where you're fucking going!" He snarled, before noticing how close the two were. He was more concerned about the fact that they were basically hugging, since his binder wasn't the best at covering everything up, than how close their faces were. "Too close- '' He muttered, looking towards the ground in an attempt to hide his bright red face.

"oh! sorry!" Kirishima apologized, immediately giveing the blond some space as his face dusted with pink from embersement. "jeez, that was close.." The redhead said while watching the direction that the car had driven off in, letting out a breath of relief, glad that nothing bad had happened. "Are you ok?"

"Some people don't know how to drive a damn car." He snapped, even though he knew it was partially his fault for not paying attention. "I'm fine. Let's just get this stupid ice cream." He added in a sullen tone, grabbing the other's hand once again and practically dragged the other along.

Kirishima was going to say something about how the blond should have been paying attention but he didn't want to make the other even more upset. The redhead almost tripped from suddenly being pulled along but he didn't say anything, quickly regaining his balance and following right next to Bakugo. "What ice cream flavor are you going to get?" he asked after a moment of silence, wanting to help pick up the mood to something more positive

Bakugo had finally cooled down from the mix of embarrassment and frustration just as the redhead brought up the question. "Mint chocolate chip, the usual." He replied, refusing to make eye contact with the other,"You?" he asked after a brief pause

"black cherry with chocolate chunks" Kirishima replied with an excited smile as he looked over at the blond, noticing how his eyes were glued ahead.

"You love that flavor don't you?" Bakugo laughed softly, as a smile grew on his face. "I'm paying today." He added, shooting the other a playful glare.

"it's the best" the redhead nodded as his smile brightened, glad to see that the other's mood had improved. "no way, you already said you'd take the fall if we got caught so spend time with you is payment enough" he said, sending an overly sweet smile the others way

"That's called being responsible. You'd also never have come if I hadn't said I'd take the blame." Bakugo said, his mood brightening by the other's heartwarming smile. "I can't be that fun to hang out with." He added, rolling his eyes. "I'm sure you'd rather hang out with Mina any day."

Bakugo undeniably had a point, if he hadn't said anything then the redhead would most likely still be on the training grounds. "well still- " he said, letting out a short but defeated sounding huff. "You're the best to hang out with! Mina spends a lot of time with Ochaco and Hagakure so she gets pretty busy, plus they mostly talk about whatever but letting her do my hair and eyeliner is cool I guess. you're my favorite to hang out with" Kirishima said as his smile quickly grew, it was clear that he meant what he was saying and that talking about the other made him happy

"Whatever you say, Kiri." He laughed, amused by how easily the redhead had given up on the disagreement. "Girls are annoying anyway, imagine living with one." He scoffed, practically giving away the fact he wasn't interested in females at all. "You can be pretty annoying too, though. Especially when you win fights during training-" He added, not really used to losing battles no matter the circumstance.

The redhead let out a chuckle, smiling even more from being called kiri. It wasn't often he got to be called something other than the classic 'shitty hair' so it always earned a smile from him every time he was called kiri. "they're not that bad if you get past all the squealing and screaming when it comes to the shows they like but whatever you say lord explosion" Kirishima said, meaning what he was saying in a general polite sense before quickly adding "and hey! how do you think i feel when you knock me down with a huge explosion in one go?"

"They're horrendious when they chase you around and try to put makeup on you, theyre stupid." He sighed, shooting the other a soft smile from the nickname. He rolled his eyes before adding to the other's comment. "You're just too good at controlling your damn hardening quirk." He said, "My explosions may be strong, but they take too long to store up." The blonde's smile got bigger; he loved how their quirks worked perfectly together in battle. They really couldn't be more perfect for each other.

Kirishima couldn't help but let out a laugh "but makeup is fun! except for foundation and that eyelash clamp thing. you look good in eyeliner whenever you put it on for your hero suit, i could help if you let me put it on you next time" the redhead was often the one who got looped into the girls sleepovers due to his closeness with Mina and Tsu as well as a general liking from the rest. He really didn't mind makeup being put on him as long as it wasn't anything cakey. "All I can really do is stand there and get hit until I can find an opening to attack, you can do both offence and defense" he said before getting an idea. "We should make a battle plan some time soon! next time we train we should do a 2v2 so that we can get better with working together" the redhead said, sounding excited.

The blond's grin melted into a smirk from the idea. "Hell yea, whoever we're up against is going down" He said, absolutely loving the idea the other had brought up and it really showed from his expression. He quickly let go of the other's hand, not wanting to attract any attention from spectators as he pulled open the door to the ice cream parlor, queuing the sound of bells that were attached to the door. "Now, go order idiot." He said, stepping to the side as he held the door open.

The redhead noticed how once they were in a more public place Bakugo had let go of his hand, he didn't say anything because he had expected it but he wished that they could have stayed hand in hand for longer. "K!"

Kirishima sent an extra smile the blond's way before wandering over to the counter. The parlor was quaint but was welcomingly decorated in warm reds, cream whites and blues, reminiscent of a vintage ice cream shop you would see in a movie. All in all the shop felt like a time machine. Though there were only a few customers inside due to the time of day, the atmosphere felt lively.

"Hello! What can I get you today?" A woman behind the counter asked with a chipper smile. She was sporting an white and red cap with a logo that read 'sweeties ice cream parlor'

"Hi there! could i please get a uhhh-" Kiri had to double check all the options to make sure they had what the pair wanted, just in case they didn't have what they were looking for "two scoops of mint chocolate chip in a cup and another the same way but with black cherry ice cream?" he asked, easily reflecting her 'happy to help' attitude as he went ahead and ordered for the other.

"Mhm! Give me just a moment" The woman replied, swiftly turning to prepare the orders for the two as other customers walked into the building.

Kirishima nodded, stepping to the side while taking out his wallet, wanting to leave a tip.

The blonde, who had been standing off to the side, smiled at the other, inwardly appreciating the favor of ordering for the both of them. "Do you wanna go back to my place after this, or...?" He asked once the other had returned to his side. A smile was still plastered to his face, without him even noticing it. He could never really compare to the other's kindness even if he tried.

"sure! Whatever isn't too much trouble. if we're still hungry after ice cream we could get food from somewhere nearby or pick up something to cook" Kirishima suggested with an undiminished smile, happy to see the other smile, especially since it tended to be rare during school or even around their classmates

He simply nodded, enjoying the other's company, especially when they could spend lots of time together all at once. "I can cook, it'll be better than some crappy fast food places anyways." He said, before adding, "Anything in particular?" He asked, not wanting to seem eager to have an opportunity to show off his skills in the kitchen.

the redhead beamed at the thought of Bakugo cooking, happy that the other didn't mind doing so. "Hmm, what about pasta? Maybe spaghetti?" he replied, trying to think of something both inexpensive and quick to cook.

"Fine with me." the pomeranian said, pulling out his phone to make a list of ingredients he'd need. "Quick and easy."

"Here are your desserts!" said another lady dressed in the same uniform as the prior lady who had taken the redheads order. The other woman was busy helping a separate customer. placing the two cups that already had a spoon for each on the counter, she retrieved the money with a big grin on her face.

"thanks! have a good day" Kirishima said picking up their treats and handing Bakugos cup over to him before, beginning to walk back over to the door without a second thought

"You too!" She replied before walking over to help the next customer.

Once they reached outside and the pair continued to follow down the street, The blonde tried his ice cream, suddenly making a disgusted face. "The hell-" He snapped, quickly trying it again to make sure he wasn't going insane. "This tastes like fucking lime- i didnt order lime?!" Bakugo stuck his tongue out of disapproval, glaring at the ice cream. "Disgusting."

"huh? let me taste-" the redhead said, leaning over and using his own spoon to take a small bite of the other ice cream without asking. "You're right, that's odd.. maybe someone got distracted or didn't read the label?" he suggested, wanting to cut the lady some slack, it could have been a long day for her. "you can have mine if you'd like, i don't mind lime" Kirishima offered, not wanting the blond to be upset

Bakugos face turned a light pink from the redhead reaching over to try his ice cream. Isn't that what couples do? Does it really matter? It didn't seem to bother the other, so he just shook the thought away. "But it's still not the flavor you wanted." He mumbled, trying not to seem like he cared, like usual. He hated lime. Actually, hate probably isn't enough to describe how he felt about the flavor.

Kirishima didn't seem to think twice about what he had done "so? I don't mind, as long as we're both happy then I'm happy" he said with a warm smile, it'd be a waste to throw away a good cup of ice cream anyways.

"Fine." He sighed, trading over his so-called 'mint chocolate chip' ice cream to the other. "You're really that clueless aren't you?" He laughed just a bit, getting the hint that the redhead had no idea what he had done.

Kirishima took a bite of the lime flavored treat without a problem, truthfully it wasn't as good as the one he had wanted but it was a close enough contender. "hm?" he asked with a tilted head, a bit lost on what the blond was talking about

"You idiot." He sighed again, but in a more amused manner. He took his spoon and scooped a bit of the lime ice cream from the redhead's hand, before putting it into his mouth. Even if he hated the flavor, he had to prove a point. The blonde hoped that it would be enough to spark something in the other's head, but knowing how Kirishima could be, you'd never know.

The redhead tilted his head a bit more as his eyes stayed on Bakugo, his brows scrunching like he was trying to work out a math problem, confusion still lingering on his face. It took a moment but the gesture eventually clicked, well not exactly. "oooh" .he realized that the comment had to do with him taking some of the other ice cream but the thing was that he didn't connect it with being romantic at the moment. "Was it that I didn't ask?" he questioned, a little worried that the action came off as rude

Bakugo mentally facepalmed, expecting the answer from the blundered redhead. He just nodded, giving up on trying to actually explain why he pointed out the other's action. "Whatever, its stupid." He finally said, after thinking for a moment or two. The blond ruffled the other's hair, adoring the other's clumsiness.

Kirishima could tell that he had missed what Bakugo was trying to say so he didn't give up trying to figure it out, though his train of thought was quickly distracted by the others' affection."hey!-" He protested when the other ruffled his hair, a bright smile appeared on his face in a matter of seconds, showing just how much he liked the simple action. The shark toothed male fixed his hair with an ever present smile on his face. Once satisfied, the redhead linked his arm with the blonds so that they could eat their ice cream while staying close. "Is there a grocery store near your house?" he asked, taking another bite of ice cream.

"Yeah, only a block or two away." He replied, in a softer tone than usual, enjoying that the other equally liked being so close. Rarely have they been able to spend time like this together because of all the schoolwork and training. "I suppose you don't know your way around my neighborhood, do you?" He wasn't really used to letting many people come home with him, since he enjoyed being by himself for the most part. The redhead, though, wouldn't be a problem. In fact, Bakugo actually wanted to have the other around as much as possible.

Even if he sometimes seemed inept or inattentive, Kirishima had noticed how Bakugo had become less shouty and bad tempered throughout the day and instead was more light hearted and genuinely happy when it was just the two of them. he shook his head "i dont think ive ever even met your parents come to think of it"

"Consider yourself lucky." the blond scoffed at the thought of his mother. "She'd probably love you actually." The blonde realized, Kirishima being the cheery person he was, was loved by his mother due to the times that he'd actually talked about the other or had texted him with his mom in the near vicinity. I guess Bakugo wasn't the only one who was fond of the redhead.

Kirishima chuckled before nodding, "I hope we get along," he said honestly. The shark toothed male hadn't heard much about the others mom but from what he had heard she was a lot like bakugo. All and all, headstrong and intimidating.

"I should text her and let her know you're coming over." The pomeranian added, hesitantly pulling his arm away to slip out his phone. His eye contact quickly went from the other to his phone not even in a matter of seconds.

The redhead went back to eating his ice cream, his eyes flicking over to the blond every so often. Even if he reminded himself that it was silly, he liked when he had the others' undivided attention. "Will she be ok with you not being in school?" he asked, knowing that his moms would probably ground him for a few days and want to have some sort of heart to heart if they ever found out about the fact that he had skipped school

The blonde laughed dryly. "Definitely not." He replied, sending a text and looking back to the redhead. "She's mad at me for whatever I do anyways." Bakugo shrugged, scooping up a bit of ice cream after having slid his phone away. "Let's try not to almost get run over again this time." He joked, carefully looking back and forth across the street in front of them, the one that was right before the food store.

"I hope she won't be too mad at least," he said, looking a bit uneasy yet hopeful. Kirishima noded, following the blonds lead and quickly checking the road before beginning to walk alongside the other.

Bakugo made sure to walk at a fast pace as he reached the store entrance, glancing over at Kirishima. "Is there anything else you need while we're here?" He asked before adding "I'm paying for it this time.", pulling out his phone again to double-check the list as they walked inside.

he shook his head, looking at the other "nothing i can think of". Kirishima was quick to finish his ice cream, tossing the bowl and spoon into a trash can that was in the entrance way of the store. the redhead kept close to the blond, though careful to not get too close just in case Bakugo wanted personal space

He nodded in response, walking right next to Kirishima, not really caring that the two were so close. The blond had completely forgotten about the ice cream from being so preoccupied with the other. It was practically fully melted by now. "Do you mind grabbing the beef? It's near the back, You'll know it when you see it" He asked, glancing over at the other after finally putting the phone away.

"I don't mind at all," Kirishima said cheerfully, nodding before adding "is there anything else you want me to get?" internally, he was happy to have the others' attention. Even though the recurring thought made him feel a little funny, he liked when the blond paid attention to him, he liked that he was able to make the other smile.

A soft smile appeared on the blond's face, glad to know the other was happy to help out. "I can handle the rest. There's not that much we need to get anyways " He replied.

"okay!" the redhead looked around, trying to figure out the layout of the store "should we meet up somewhere so we don't get lost once we find everything?" he asked

The blonde nodded, thinking the other's idea was actually pretty smart. "The stuff I need to get is in aisle 7 and the meats are near the back, so it's probably a smart idea to meet up somewhere." He shifted his gaze to the self-checkouts. "Maybe there?" He suggested.

"Ok! Sounds good to me" he said with a final nod "it shouldn't take me that long. see you in a bit!" the redhead sent one last smile the others way before make his way to the back of the store

"Hopefully." Bakugo joked, knowing the redhead could wander off the goal occasionally. The blonde made his way to aisle 7, in search of a jar of spaghetti sauce, noodles and other additives.
