Firewing sat with Cobalt in their shared office. Since the communication with Megatron a few weeks prior, Firewing had become more open with Cobalt. She saw him not as an assistant, but as a partner. They worked well together, evenly spreading the work load, usually getting everything done a few hours ahead of schedule.
They had begun to spend more time together, Firewing finally able to be truthful about everything. She truly felt like she'd known the youngling all her life… Everyday she spent with him, she felt more and more like an over protective sister.
Firewing finished going through the reports as Cobalt finished the itinerary, just like any day… But they would soon find out, today was not like any other day. Both bots almost jumped as the door to their office flew open. "Does no-one know how to knock around here?" the femme asked, looking up to find Sentinel Prime standing in the doorway. She bit her glossa, as to not say something she'd regret. "My apologies sir, I did not realise it was you" she said.
"It's quite alright Firewing" the mech stated as he handed her a datapad. "I need you two on guard duty today" he announced, before suddenly disappearing again, leaving the door wide open.
Femme growled as he disappeared, before standing to close the door. "Fragging piece of scrap metal" she muttered, as she inspected the datapad. She stopped in her tracks, wings suddenly shaking in shock. "Frag no" she said.
"What is it 'Wing" the mechling asked, having heard her outburst. "What's wrong?"
"The Autobots have a Decepticon prisoner" she started, browsing through the pad. "It's Barricade". She knew she had to alert Megatron of this, as they needed a plan.
"That's a problem isn't it" the mech asked, suddenly feeling both nervous and panic.
"It would be... If we weren't his guards" she said, looking at the youngling. "But that also means, fortunately, our time here has come to an end. We need to bust him out of here… Before the Autobots try anything" she announced.
She decided to contact Megatron through the bond, knowing it was a faster way of getting the message through. 'Megatron, we have a small problem'
'So do we; Barricade has been missing for a few days now' came the reply.
'So we have the same problem' she stated, knowing the silver mech would understand.
'He's an Autobot prisoner' it was more a statement than a question. 'I'll send Astrotrain out immediately. He can be in position in a half hour'
'Have him wait for us two clicks north of the Autobot base'
Affirmative'
"Come on youngling, we have work to do" walking out into the hallway.

Firewing knocked on the door to the security tower. She saw the camera turn to her before the doors opened. She wandered in, Cobalt not far behind. "We're hear to relieve you. Sentinel has asked us to guard the prisoner today" she announced, causing the mech in front of her to nod.
"Been waiting for you two, one of you will stay here, while the other will accompany me down to the cell block to relieve my partner" he announced, stepping past the two other bots.
"Of course" Firewing started, turning to the blue mech. "Cobalt, you stay here. I'll go down to the cell block"
"Sounds good" the blue mech stated, as he took his seat on front of the console.

The journey to the cell block was, thankfully, quiet and uneventful. Firewing didn't feel like having a conversation with this mech, or any Autobot really. When they did arrive at the cell blocks, the mech beside her called to his partner. "Come on Scatterbolt" he said, gaining the others attention. "We're off the clock now" he finished, as he started for the door, his partner following close behind.
Only once the femme was sure the two had gone, did she put her plan into action. "Cobalt, I need audio and visual blackout" she stated, as she turned to the cell that housed her imprisoned ally.
"They're down… Now" Cobalt replied.
Firewing smiled at how fast he was able to get the job done. He truly was amazing. She reined her thoughts back in, as she remembered the task at servo… Escape the Autobot base undetected, with Barricade. "What are we gonna do with you Barricade?" she asked, as she stood in front of his cell.
The small front liner chuckled. "Help me outta here would be a good start" he said, as he hauled himself to his pedes.
Firewing opened the cell door, taking in every detail of the mech on front of her. He appeared to be battered and bruised, having obviously taken a beating at some point. "Can you walk?" she asked, as she carefully approached the mech.
"Yeah" he answered, stepping forward, on slightly shaky legs. "Looks worse than it truly is" he announced.
Firewing gently grabbed the mechs servos, working quickly to remove the stasis cuffs. "Good. We have along way to go" she said, before sending out a comm. "Cobalt, I need a distraction. As far south of the cell block as possible" she announced.
"One distraction coming right up" he announced.
"Once you've done that. Get the pit out of here. Leave the base using the north exit… Continue for two clicks, there should be a mech by the name of Astrotrain waiting for you. Don't let his size frighten you… He's really a gentle giant" she announced, as her attention went back to the front liner in front of her.
"What are we waiting for?" he asked, itching to be away from the Autobots.
"Our cue" the femme said, waiting patiently, knowing that whatever Cobalt had planned… It was going to drawn attention.
"What cue?"
Suddenly an explosion rocked the base, causing the security and fire systems to activate simultaneously. "That cue" the femme announced, as she lead the mech to the cell door. She knew that most of the Autobots would be distracted by the explosion; which reminded her, she had to congratulate Cobalt for an amazing display, but there would still be some bots on patrol. She wanted to avoid these patrols at all costs.
"That was some cue" the mech announced, falling inline behind the femme.
The femme just smirked, as she ran towards the exit to the cell block.

Firewing rounded a corner, knowing they were close to the north exit, but also knew that this was the most dangerous time. Her and Barricade had already seen three patrols, and knew there would be more nearing the exits. "You ok Barricade?" she asked, glancing back to make sure the mech was still there.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just my side is aching a little" he answered, clutching his sore side. "But I'll be ok" he said, as he followed the femme.
Firewing smiled at the small mech, she had always known Barricade to be as brave and fierce and as any mech twice his size… He never let his small stature get the better of him. She had always admired that about the black and white mech. "Alright, we're getting close" she said, before suddenly darting into an unused storage bay, pulling the mech with her.
"Hey" the mech snapped, before her servo went over his mouth. He listened closely, and suddenly heard it. The telltale sounds of an Autobot patrol.
Firewing held the mech close, her servo never leaving his mouth, until she was sure the patrol had passed by them. She dared to peak out into the hall, to find it empty again. "That was too close", she breathed as she let the mech go. "We have to be more careful from here on out" she proclaimed, before stepping out into the hallway. Firewing moved down the hall, knowing that they weren't far from the exit, but she wouldn't relax until she knew that they were safe outside. "Come on Barricade" she said quietly, as she turned the last corner. She almost froze when she saw a guard at the exit. She nearly swore as she shoved Barricade back around the corner. "If I distract him, can you deal with him?" she asked.
"Of course" the mech said. "I'm injured, not offline" he stated, causing the femme to chuckle.
Firewing breathed deeply, trying to calm her nerves. She wasn't sure how this was going to go down, but knew whatever happened, couldn't be helped. She turned around the corner, striding confidently towards the guard. "You there" she announced, suddenly gaining the attention of the guard. "I've been told that I am here to relieve you" she said, hoping the mech would believe her.
"But I just got here" the mech stated suspiciously.
Firewing swore under her breath, but instantly came up with plan B. "Ok" she said, as she rushed forward, surprising the mech. She slammed into him with her whole body weight, causing him to hit the wall behind him, effectively stunning him. She watched as he fell to his aft, shaking his helm as he did. She didn't wait for him to get up, slamming her pede into his helm, knocking him into an instant stasis.
"I thought I was dealing with him" Barricade said, as he wandered down the hall.
"Plan A didn't work. Had to go with plan B" the femme announced, as she opened the door, allowing both of them to escape.
