A/N: Ach, I originally started on a different Jimmy Neutron fic before this, but my brain was like "no, immediately go to the fluff", so here I am. I will continue that other story as well, but I haven't even finished chapter 1, heh.

But anyway, this is just a series of fluffy one-shots with Jimmy and Cindy, because I absolutely love this ship to death, and we need more fluff in our life with these two. And cute awkwardness, heh heh heh. I may throw in some Sheen and Libby one-shots as well, if I can think of anything. Heck, feel free to throw some suggestions my way for both ships. Just to let you know, though, I don't do high school fics whatsoever. Or college, for that matter. Elementary school, middle school, or post-college life is fine, though.

I already have three one-shot ideas in mind, one of which is supposed to happen in a season 4 episode I made up. Yeah, I thought about writing my own original season 4 with some of the plot points that they were gonna go with, but decided against it. I'll just keep it in my head, or write out some of the stuff in this series that I had in mind.

Anyway, enjoy! This one takes place shortly after my imagined season 4. Mostly done in Cindy's POV. (I also got this idea from another one-shot series called Hot Cocoa, which is something you should read as well.)

Story 1: I Used to Be Able to Whistle

The both of them needed this, that was for certain.

After a hectic summer of dealing with new villains, old villains, and a crazy adventure to finally put an end to all of that craziness, a nice and peaceful date in the park in their secluded spot by the pond was just what the two needed to unwind. Of course, all of that was not even including the start of middle school recently, which had its own brand of insanity thrown in.

It was quite the change from elementary school, where they had one stationary class, and one teacher to go along with it. Of course, Jimmy had managed to hack into the school's computer system to ensure he, herself, Libby, Sheen, and Carl got as many classes together as possible, including the same lunch and break periods.

How Jimmy never got caught, Cindy would never know, but she was eternally grateful and ecstatic that he had done that for all of them. The five of them had grown inseparably close over the past few months to the point that they were their own little wacky, mixed-up family of sorts.

Cindy would not trade it for anything in the world, though.

Of course, within the whole mess that they called a summer vacation, she and Jimmy finally came to terms with their feelings for one another. Nearly dying multiple times in one day would do that to you, she figured. That had simultaneously been the worst and best day of her life, but she could have easily done without the near-death experiences, thank you very much.

The two of them had stopped their near-constant fighting weeks before that day, realizing just how pointless it had become at that point, and things between them had started to improve greatly since then (much to their friend's relief), all culminating up to that great-awful day.

Cindy had taken to calling that day "The Day of the Phoenix" in her head. Out of death, or near-death rather, rose something new and beautiful in its place.

A soothing and gentle hand carding through her hair brought Cindy out of her introspection. She looked up into the blue eyes of her boyfriend (that term still made her absolutely giddy inside), who was looking down at her with a raised eyebrow and a smile.

Jimmy had grown a couple of inches over the summer, much to his joy, but he was still the shortest guy in sixth grade, which made him disgruntled at the same time. Oh well, it allowed her to lean on him more comfortably regardless, which is what she had been doing the entire time. The hand that had been wrapped around her was the one now being combed through her blond locks.

"Quarter for your thoughts?" Jimmy asked, and Cindy let out a huff of amusement.

"Isn't the saying supposed to be 'a penny for your thoughts'?" she rebutted with a smile and small eye roll.

"Ah, but your thoughts are worth more than a mere penny, Ms. Vortex," he said with a chuckle.

"Very cute, Neutron, but a quarter isn't that much better," she jokingly said, poking him in the chest.

"Well, that makes us worth the same, I would say." Cindy was absolutely confused as she sat up a bit to stare at him with narrowed eyes.

"And just what is that supposed to mean, mister?" Jimmy let out a full-blown laugh in response.

"You don't remember?" he asked in between laughs, and Cindy just crossed her arms and glared without any real heat behind it, waiting on him to elaborate. Which he did after calming down somewhat. "You wanted to buy me for twenty-five cents from that salesman I built last year, remember?" Oh, right, that, she completely forgot that even happened.

"Oh, yeah, I remember now," she responded with a small chuckle of her own, getting comfortable against Jimmy once again with a sigh.

"I still don't understand what you wanted with me then, it's not like we were close friends at the time," Jimmy stated with a murmur, nuzzling into the top of her head with his eyes closed as he once again placed his arm around her. The action caused her heart to pound erratically and a goofy grin to spread across her face.

Did she forget to mention just how absolutely affectionate Jimmy had become? Cindy reveled in it, as she rarely got any affection at home from her parents. She had no idea where this loving, affectionate side of him came from, but she was not going to complain one bit.

Even the smallest of gestures, such as rubbing his thumb in circles on the back of her hand, sent pleasant shivers through her whenever he did it, which was quite often in fact.

Wait, he wanted an answer. Oops. Or was he being rhetorical? Oh whatever.

"Trust me, you don't want to know," she said, though in truth Cindy did not even remember what she had originally planned at the time if she had managed to actually buy him.

"Mmm, probably not," Jimmy said with a small chuckle. "Still, I'm worth more than a quarter, dontcha think?"

"Oh I suppose so. I'll bump you up to being worth seventy-five cents these days, Neutron" Cindy responded with a smirk, and laughed when he playfully shoved her away.

"Oh ha ha ha, you're hilarious, Cindy," Jimmy said with fake aggravation, the smile he had giving it away.

"I try," she stated with a small shrug, her smirk still in place. She definitely preferred this playful banter they partook in these days over the arguments they used to engage in a hundred percent more.

With a shake of his head in amusement, Jimmy pulled her close once more, and she leaned her head on his shoulder as he reached over to their basket they had brought for lunch but had not touched yet.

"Anyway, we got off track," which happened a lot, Cindy mused, "what were you thinking about?" Jimmy finished saying, pulling everything out of the basket and setting it down on the blanket they were resting on.

"Oh, uh... just things that happened this past summer." Jimmy grunted at that as he began preparing their sandwiches, putting an absurd amount of mustard on his, much to Cindy's disgust.

"Yeah, it's almost always on my mind these days, too, but I try to only think about the good parts," he responded as he handed Cindy her sandwich before taking a bite of his own.

"Ugh, I don't understand how you can eat and enjoy that much mustard, Jimmy," Cindy said, shuddering in disgust as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"Honestly? I used to hate it, but for some reason, I randomly started loving it last year, which I'm still confused by."

"Huh, you know, I used to love it, but now I can't stand the sight or smell of it," Cindy said, her eyebrows narrowed in thought as she chewed.

"That is weird, definitely. The strangest part is I used to be able to whistle without any trouble. Took me months to relearn how to do so," Jimmy said with chagrin. He had turned to humming as he worked on inventions instead of whistling, at least until he taught himself to whistle once again.

Cindy smiled as she finished her sandwich, wiping her mouth off with a napkin and taking a swig of Purple Flurp.

"You want to know what I think happened?"

"What?" Jimmy asked, polishing off his own sandwich.

"I think we have Carl, Sheen, and Libby to blame for that," Cindy said and left it at that, letting the genius figure it out for himself. Indeed, she saw his eyebrows furrow in thought for a few seconds before they rose again in shock as he figured it out. He slapped the side of his head in exasperation.

"Of course! How did I not connect the dots? That was the day they had to put our brains back in the correct bodies. It was only a couple of days after that that I discovered my newfound love of mustard and my loss of whistling! Pukin' Pluto, those three are getting a piece of my mind when we get back!" Jimmy vehemently declared, his fists clenched. He released his fists when Cindy put her hand over his to calm him down.

"Relax, it was a year ago, and it's not like they really knew those things about us, so they probably just guessed," Cindy reasoned. Jimmy let out a huff as he calmed down.

"Once again, you're my voice of reason," he said with a smile, turning his hand over and linking their fingers together.

"Always will be, and don't you forget it!" They both laughed out loud at that.

Jimmy looked into her eyes after they calmed down, his own half-lidded.

"What do you say we re-enact that dream we had, hm?" Jimmy purred, sending shivers down Cindy's spine, but she held up a hand to stop her boyfriend as he leaned in.

"Not with your mustard breath, we're not." The boy genius pouted as he reached into the basket and pulled out a bottle that had blue liquid in it, holding it up to Cindy.

"Behold, my Neutron Anti-Halitosis Serum!" He proudly displayed, but Cindy just rolled her eyes when she saw the label on it.

"Neutron, that's just Listerine mouthwash," she said with exasperated fondness, causing him to pout again.

"Ah come on, ruin it why don't you?" Regardless, he uncapped the bottle and took a swig of the Listerine, making a face at the taste as he swished it around in his mouth for the minute it recommended. He got up and spit it out in some bushes nearby before reclaiming his seat next to his girlfriend, and eagerly smiled as he waited. Cindy shook her head with a smile as she grabbed his face with tenderness.

"You're impossible," she mumbled lovingly before connecting her lips to his.

A/N: Ah man, writing fluff gets me all giddy, but I love it! I like to imagine once they stop fighting for good (which, they would have in season 4, from what I read), they would have turned to friendly banter instead. Oh yes, I have a ton of headcanons for these two, heh.

But anywho, next one-shot is called "My Biggest Fear". No worries, it's nothing angsty, I promise. It's actually quite sweet.
