A/N: Well, after I teased it multiple times, I decided to finally follow through with my goddamn promise. And I hate myself for it. Awhile ago I put up a poll asking which femJaune yuri you all wanted next. (Was lowkey hoping for either Raven or Willow tbh…them MILFs hawt as fuck.) Much to my despair and embarrassment, y'all motherfuckers picked the most sinful of them all.

goddammit. Why did I even put this as an option? You're getting a two-shot since I genuinely cannot be fucking asked to write out 10k worth of filth.

Sisterly Love

Summary: Joan's trip to Argus was not at all what she expected. Still though, it was a very, very enjoyable experience.

*Shot One*

Joan Arc stepped off of the Argus Limited, looking at the address given to her by her eldest sister Saphron. Huh…it looks like it's on Sis's apartment is on the opposite side of the city. Hm. Maybe I can ride a cable car there? Lemme double check to make sure.

The blonde pulled out her scroll and put the address into the GPS and waited; scroll service this far away from any of the CCT towers was usually very poor and it could possibly take a few minutes before it gave her the directions she needed.

However, Argus was not a normal city away from the kingdoms. It was one of the largest and built by Atlas, though Mistral technically had ownership of it. It was a hybrid city, in a sense. Defended and supplied by Atlas, ran by Mistral.

Her scroll pinged, the directions to her sister's apartment appearing on the holographic screen. Oh, wow. It's actually not as far as I thought. I could walk there in maybe ten minutes if I'm not feeling too lazy.

With a grunt she picked up her lone suitcase packed to the brim with her essentials, grimacing at the weight. Second year huntress or not, it still weighed a ton. She didn't know how the hell her and her partner at Beacon, Pyrrha, managed to stuff everything in there.

Joan shivered a little and wrapped her scarf a little tighter around her face, stuffing one gloved hand in her jacket pocket to keep warm. It was the beginning of winter and while she was of course excited to be invited to spend the holidays at her favorite sister's, she didn't exactly like the cold. Snow littered the streets and with a sigh she started to walk out of the train station and into the most northern city of Mistral.

True to its builders, Argus was a wonder of modern technology. In the distance the sight of the Atlesian military base rose into the already dimming sky, housing some of the most advanced pieces of military hardware ever seen. As a city on the coast it needed to be well defended in the event of a Grimm attack or worse, a war.

As amazing as it is, you're not here to ogle over guns and other fancy toys. I'm just here to spend Christmas break with my sister. Nothing more and nothing less. In the past two years, she had changed quite a bit. Her hair, once very long and straight, was now a hell of a lot shorter. Jagged layers fell in front of her face and a small ponytail dangled over her left shoulder. Part of the intense training she went through had hardened her; gone was that simple goofy nature and in its place was a huntress in training who took her duty seriously. She had no choice. It was either grow the hell up or die in the field. She chose the former.

Her boots gently clicked on the freezing sidewalk and she looked up at the apartment numbers, trying to find out which one was her sister's. No, no, definitely no…damn, did I take a wrong turn here or something?

Joan checked her scroll just to make sure. Nope, it was just three blocks to the left and she let out a sigh of relief. She would hate to end up lost here; Vale she knew her way around to comfortably take strolls through it even in the middle of night. But this place was still pretty much foreign to her. Saph, I'll never understand why the hell you decided to move all the way out here. I know Mom and Dad aren't the happiest with some of your decisions, but here? Why the hell couldn't you have chosen something warmer? Stupid cold weather.

Joan was by no means a fan of frigid climates. Though on the plus side, when she did make it to Saphron's apartment, she was most likely going to be greeted by a hug and a nice cup of fresh coffee. It was still amusing to her teammates and friends that the supposed goofy one of Team JNPR refused to put any sugar in her coffee. Hey, she thought she was growing up nicely. Even if some people like Ruby still had a hard time seeing her as a much more serious young woman.

Her scroll pinged in her pocket and she pulled it out to see she had arrived at her sister's home. Well, I'm here. Might as well knock.

Joan reached out to knock on the door when it swung open. She immediately shielded her eyes from the bright light within, yelping as she was promptly tackled to the ground by a blonde blur. "Ack! Hey! Saph, get off me you great lump! It's cold!"

"Awww I missed you~!" Saphron was hugging her as tightly as she could, petting her hair like she would when Joan was younger. "I'm glad you decided to come here instead. Shion can get boring after awhile, right?"

"Saph…can I get off the ground please?" Joan asked, her voice muffled. "Seriously, I'm freezing out here." Her ass was already beginning to turn to ice from being on the frigid pavement and she squirmed under her sister. She felt her cheeks light up a bit and she suppressed a shiver as one of Saphron's hands found her back.

"Okay, okay." The older blonde giggled and got off her, helping Joan to her feet. "Well come in, come in! I just finished making dinner."

A delicious smell was wafting from her sister's kitchen and Joan sniffed the air hopefully. "Mm…is that roast turkey I smell? You're always one heck of a cook, sis."

"Aww, thanks." Saphron smiled and rubbed Joan's head affectionately. "But in reality, most of the work was Terra's doing. If you think I'm good, you should see what she is capable of. The other week she showed me this recipe from Mistral called a, 'gotcha pork roast'. Possibly the nicest thing I've ever put in my mouth."

Joan felt a blush creep up her face at the slightly lewd remark. Yes she knew it was about food but for some awful reason, she could just hear the much more perverted side of her say, 'Bow chicka bow wow' and she didn't like it. No, no, no. Bad brain. Do not think about that. It's just food for starters and it's your older sister. Ugh.

"Yeah, I'm sure it was." She rolled her eyes and took off her coat, setting it up on the coat hanger just inside before closing the door behind her. "How have you and Terra been? Any problems with Mom and Dad?"

"Not really," Saphron said a little too quickly. Caught in a lie. One way for Joan to know if her sister was lying to her. Joan's eyes narrowed and she folded her arms across her chest, giving her a look.

"Saphron," she said seriously. "Don't try to lie to me of all people. What did they do this time?"

Saphron sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Well…they aren't thrilled that Terra and I got married. Threatened me with the whole, 'We're going to disown you if you don't stop this stupid phase of yours,' crap. Of course I didn't give in, but I would have preferred if every time we talked my relationships weren't always brought into it. It's my life and I can do with it what I please."

"Hear, hear." Joan rubbed her back. "You know I got your back. You always were my favorite."

"Stop, you'll make me blush." Saphron smiled weakly. "But…thank you, Joan."

"Hey, isn't that what family is for?" She shrugged. "Just trying to be the best sister I can to you." She meant it, too. Part of the reason why she ran away from home to try and be a huntress in the first place was because she wanted to be able to protect her family from Grimm. She felt as though she could either be afraid of them or take a stand and fight back. It was dangerous; she remembered the phone call she got from Saph the night she left the Arc family household. Her older sister was so fraught with worry that she thought Saph might actually cry. But now, two years later, here she was as a respectable second year student who had fought harder than anyone in their year to get where she was.

"Well, you're doing swimmingly," Saphron said. When they entered the kitchen, she saw Terra standing by the oven. She was clad in simple sweatpants and Joan blushed a little when she knelt over to open the oven to take the turkey out.

No, no, no. That's my sister's wife! Don't look at her like that! Joan looked away abruptly and waved. "H-hey Terra. Long time no see, huh?"

"Hey Joan. Good to see you again." Terra huffed as she put the turkey on top of the stove and wiped a bit of sweat from her forehead, taking her oven mitts off. She let out a whistle at the sight of her and winked. "Look who's become a proper huntress now. When Saph told me that you were going to Beacon, I didn't expect you to turn out quite like this."

She reached up into one of the cabinets, pulling out three coffee mugs. "Would you like some coffee or tea? I know it's cold out there."

"That would be great, thanks." Joan nodded and took a seat at table, taking off her gloves. Her hands were beginning to feel sweaty in them and she let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness it's warm inside. Bloody cold was driving me nuts.

"How do you like it? Sweet, strong?" Terra asked.

"Black, please," she requested.

"Oho, look at you." Saphron thumped her leg playfully. "My little sister finally stopped putting five scoops of sugar in her coffee."

"Exams will do that to you." Joan shrugged. "Some of those essays are a nightmare, I tell you."

""You certainly have grown," Terra remarked, taking a seat next to her wife and handing Joan her coffee. "When I first met you, you were this little goofy girl that could barely lift a sword. Now look at you. Honey, you have to be proud."

"Oh I am," Saphron agreed. "But no matter how much you grow, you'll always be the same Joan to me."

Joan flushed a little at the praise, even though it was true. She went from being one of the worst students in her year to one of Beacon's premier leaders, going on missions seemingly every other week. The leap from first year to second year was a big one; no more shadowing huntsmen and huntresses. Instead, they were the ones doing all the heavy lifting and exterminating Grimm. Just before the break started, in fact, Team JNPR was sent out to one of the villages in Vale to deal with a Gheist Grimm that was plaguing the settlement for several weeks. Through their combined efforts they tracked it to its lair and slew the demon, earning themselves a reputation for being dependable and quick to answer the call.

"How has Beacon been so far?" Saphron asked, sipping her coffee. "You've certainly filled out a bit." She gestured to her body, which had indeed grown a bit since the last time they made conversation.

"Yeah, I guess I have finally put on a bit of muscle." Joan patted her gut affectionately. "Workouts before combat practice every morning and one in the evening."

Her older sister gave her a suggestive wink. "I wasn't talking about that, but sure, let's run with it."

"Eh?" The blonde knight looked at her in confusion, not sure what she was getting at. "What do you mean then?"

Terra let out an exasperated sigh and glared at Saphron, the older blonde giggling. "Saph. Behave."

"Oh Joan, you're so dense sometimes. Even if you've grown up you are still painfully oblivious." Saphron let out a laugh. "Don't worry about it. You'll know what I mean soon enough, dear."

Joan looked over to Terra for help, only to see that she was massaging her temples and muttering under her breath. She couldn't pick any of it up so she decided it probably wasn't anything serious. If I can't hear it, then it probably isn't worth me knowing. Though I am curious as to what Saph meant when she said I was filling out a bit. I don't think I've changed that much apart from not being a scrawny twig.

The blonde knight put down her mug with a content groan, feeling much better now that she had something in her system. "I definitely needed that. Thanks Terra; you're a lifesaver." Now she could actually eat without worry of falling asleep and face planting into whatever dinner was going to be.

"So, Joan, what are your plans tonight?" Saphron asked, lightly drumming her fingers on the table.

"Dunno. Was going to find a decent hotel to stay at or something." The knight shrugged.

"Hell no. You're staying here." Her older sister laughed. "As if I'd let my favorite sister stay at some crappy one room place for vacation."

"I don't want to intrude…"

"Honey, you're family. Family is never intruding."

"Okay, fine. Have it your way," Joan conceded. "I suppose that couch does look rather inviting…" She glanced at the dark brown leather couch in the living room and could tell she wouldn't have any trouble falling asleep on it. Not when she was more than used to sleeping outdoors whenever her team was out on a mission.

"Oh no you don't." Saphron smirked mischievously. "Spare bedroom upstairs. Make yourself at home. Don't worry about Adrian; he's at his grandmother's place for the holidays. Terra's mother called us about a few days before you did and said she wanted to have him stay the whole week."

Lucky me. Damn and I was prepared to stake out some crappy motel room. Guess I didn't really need to bring my card here. Still, nice to have some spending money. The blonde smiled in relief and leaned into a more comfortable sitting position, relieved that she would have a warm bed to pass out on after the long trip from Vale.

"So what are the plans for Christmas?" she asked. "I was going to go out tomorrow to try and get you something. No, it was not going to be one of those crappy gifts we get Dad every Father's Day."

"Well…" Saphron shuffled her feet. "Truth be told, I still have a few things to finish up around the house. Preparing food, getting some drinks, and maybe stop by the bakery for some sweets. I hope you didn't outgrow your love of chocolate cake while you were away at Beacon." She gave her a knowing look.

"No, no. Still have a bit of a sweet tooth." Joan rolled her eyes. "Just more…subdued than it used to be. Being in the field as often as we are, we don't exactly have the time to indulge ourselves. Jade's cooking is like a five star restaurant's compared to the MREs we bring with us."

Seriously, if she ever found the person who invented those horrible things and tried to call them meals, she would force-feed them to him. Or her. She was equally minded.

"Ooooh do tell," her sister purred.

For some reason she didn't know or like, Joan shivered at her sister's purr.

"W-well, um…" She felt a bit of sweat roll down the back of her neck. Shush, it was hot in here. "One of them was supposed to be some kind of meatloaf, I think? Hard to tell. When we were doing a mission out in Vale's frontier we had to make camp out in the wilderness. Camp was made, but that was the poorest excuse of a meatloaf I ever tasted in my life. One of my teammates spent most of the night hurling her guts out. The rest of us had a bad stomach ache for most of the next day and wished we threw up. God it was awful. After dealing with those horrendous things, I'm never complaining about the quality of food anywhere ever again."

Terra choked on her coffee from laughing at the story and Saphron gave her a thump on the back to help clear her throat. "G-goodness me. Sounds like the glamorous life of a huntress isn't really all that glamorous after all."

"It really isn't," Joan admitted. "Yet still, I wouldn't trade it for anything. There really is nothing I'd rather be in life than a huntress, protecting the ones I care about."

"Uh huh. So, get yourself a boyfriend yet?" Saphron smirked at Joan's embarrassed squawk.

"W-what!? No! There's only one guy on my team and he's claimed already by his own partner." She shook her head, a blush lighting up her cheeks. "Besides, he's…not my type. Great guy, don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't ever think about dating him." Besides, if I ever did even think about trying to go out with Ren, Nora would cave my damn skull in. I don't have a death wish, thank you very much.

She had seen firsthand what happened to Team CRDL after Nora found out they were harassing Joan. It wasn't pretty. Good God, the horrible screams and breaking of legs was something she never wanted to hear again. It took two weeks of Pyrrha rubbing her back just to be able to sleep at night.

"So there's no one in your year that you're attracted to?" Saphron looked at her knowingly.

"Nope. Not at all." She shook her head earnestly. "Honestly, I don't even think I'm attracted to guys in general. The only one who I thought was even handsome was my friend's uncle and he's a drunk." For an older guy, he sure didn't look like it. Handsome, nice stubble, though he reeks of cheap whiskey and easy barmaids who fall on their back for the first huntsman to say hi to them.

"Ha. I called it, Terra. Pay up." Saphron held out her hand smugly.

"I can't stand you sometimes…" Terra grudgingly slapped two crisp lien cards into her hand. "You're sleeping on the couch."

"Wait, what?" Joan looked at her sister's wife in confusion. "What the hell is going on? Was there a bet or something?"

"Yep!" Saphron smiled broadly. "Joan. I'm going to ask you this once. One time only. Are you gay?"

"Saph!" Terra groaned.

"What? I'm serious here." Saphron pouted and folded her arms. "If my baby sister isn't attracted to men, then maybe she bats for the home team. Nothing wrong with that if you do. Or if you don't. You're still my sister."

"Well…um…" Joan scratched the back of her head. "I don't know to be honest. I did think that one of my friends was gorgeous…and I may have accidentally tried asking out Weiss Schnee of all people to the dance during the Vytal Festival..." The heiress still never let Joan live that one down.

"You know, there's actually a technical term for that, sis." Saphron tucked her long blonde locks behind her and yawned. "It's called, 'being in the closet'."

Terra groaned again and sighed, pinching her brow. "You have no tact whatsoever, do you?"

"Hey, you knew what you were getting into when you married me." Saphron smirked and ducked under the cushion thrown her way by her wife. "Missed me."

"So immature," Terra grumbled. "How about you go be productive and check on your biscuits?"

"Fine, fine. You're no fun today." Saphron gave her a mocking pout before bouncing away into the kitchen, leaving Terra and Joan alone for a few moments.

"Sorry about her," Terra apologized, taking off her glasses to wipe her face. "I don't know what has gotten into her lately. Hope she didn't make you uncomfortable."

"I put up with it for years more than you," Joan reminded with a small laugh. "Trust me, I know how much of a handful my sister can be when she feels like being a pain in the ass." Still, would rather deal with Saph's embarrassing questions than Nora's antics any day of the week. Especially after that damn food war we had with Team RWBY in our first year.

Oh the pain of sliding down a cracked cafeteria wall covered head to toe in food was horrendous. As was the rather stern lecture Team RWBY and Team JNPR received from Glynda Goodwitch afterwards. The disciplinarian was rather cross about having to repair the entire cafeteria (as well as the roof thanks to Yang being sent into orbit from Nora). Still somewhat worth it.

By God time has gone by quickly. A year ago I was a socially awkward mess near the bottom of our year. Now look. Matured, taking lessons seriously, and considered one of the premier teams after we represented Beacon in the Vytal Festival.

"Indeed. It is nice that you decided to visit us for the holiday break." Terra sat her mug down. "When do classes start again?"

"On the third of January," the blonde knight replied. "The headmaster himself is even taking a bit of a break. All that paperwork has to be a pain to deal with. I'm grateful that I don't have that kind of job."

"Did your team partner ask you to visit or no?"

"Pyrrha is from here, actually. Trained at Sanctum. I can send her a message anytime since she's probably in town by now."

Pyrrha also said she was going to Argus, but she had arrived a day earlier than Joan had thanks to the blonde's flight from Vale being delayed thanks to an oncoming winter storm. She didn't even know Pyrrha was going home for the holidays until Joan ran into her at the airport. If they had known, they probably could've gotten on the same plane.

"Ah, that explains the commotion outside when the Argus Limited pulled in from Mistral," Terra muttered. "Pyrrha Nikos, the defending Vytal Festival champion. And you're even her partner. You must get a lot of jealousy."

"I did at first, mainly from another Beacon team," Joan admitted, remembering the envious glares that Team CRDL sent her way when she was the first to congratulate Pyrrha on her victory. "They pretty much shut up after Pyrrha and I did a two-on-two match with them."

"Let me guess, they tried to say she carried you?"

"Bingo. I didn't see Pyrrha carrying me when I hit one of them in the stomach with my shield." Aura or not, it still hurt like a bitch. Joan was by no means the strongest member of her team in terms of her skill, so she had adapted by fighting meaner than most. A little jab in the stomach, stomp on the foot, even a little dirt in the eyes. It was funny seeing how mad Cardin would get after Joan made a few jokes about a particular part of his anatomy.

In terms of actual training, she was currently undergoing a bunch of tests with a new form of dust, Hard Light, to boost her already towering defensive capabilities. As the one with the highest aura reserves in JNPR, she was considered to be a tank on the field as she could take tremendous punishment and still keep on fighting. Her semblance could amplify others own aura, giving them a temporary boost to their abilities. She had tried it with Ren when they were sent out to evacuate a village following an attack, using her semblance to amplify Ren's own to mask the emotions of the villagers from the Grimm. It had drained a lot out of her, but they still managed to get the job done before anyone else got killed.

"Ha! Now that I would have loved to see." Terra laughed. "We did get to watch your tournament fights. Definitely what I would say a little sloppy, but you were a first year then. Now, you're even better. Worked harder than anyone to get where you're at, constantly trying to get better."

"Yeah…Dad even told me to not worry if I had to go back home back then. Haven't heard a word from him since. Real supporting, huh?" She let out a sigh and drained the rest of her coffee in one go. She definitely needed that to give her some energy to move about for a bit.

She rested her mug on the table and smiled. "Thanks, Terra. I needed that. Bloody train ride was a nightmare."

"Could be a hell of a lot worse." The older woman shrugged. "Could've had to deal with Saph's antics." She jerked her thumb over to the blonde currently dancing in the kitchen as she knelt down to take the turkey out of the oven.

"Yeah…" Joan looked away, her face turning into a light shade of pink at the sight of her sister's shapely rear. She never realized it before, but her sister was very beautiful. Joan wanted to be like her when she was younger. I did not just look at my older sister's ass. No. Shut up.

"Dinner is ready~" Saphron sang, carrying dinner over to the table. Joan's mouth watered at the rich smell wafting her way and she leaned back with a groan.

"Ah…smells so good…" The blonde turned to her older sister with a smirk. "Surprised you didn't burn the biscuits. I almost miss the sound of the fire alarm going off every time you tried cooking something at home."

"Hey, I only set fire to the kitchen once!" Saphron puffed her cheeks out indignantly. "And I thought we both agreed it was Jade's fault for distracting me in the first place!"

"Saph, Jade was showing you cat videos, not dancing erratically in your face," Joan deadpanned. Terra snickered at that.

"But they're so cute!" The older blonde pouted. "How can I ignore cat videos? Especially when they're being adorable?"

"Easy. You tell your sister that you're busy cooking and push her away to bother someone else," Terra answered dryly. "What's with that stare, honey? You know what my solutions to things like that are."

Saphron plopped down next to Terra with a huff though her eyes sparkled with mischief. Joan knew that look all too well and started to slowly push her chair away from the table. Nope…I'm not getting dragged into this one…

She was right; she caught a glimpse of Saphron reaching under the table towards her wife and Terra smacked her hand away, eyes narrowed slits. "Not at the table. Behave…"

Saphron merely gave her a lazy wink. Joan really didn't want to know what she was going to do. Or attempt to at least. She doubted that Terra would let her succeed, but Joan wasn't willing to take that bet.

"Fine, fine. " The eldest Arc eased back into her chair, handing them each some silverware. "Well? Don't just look at it. Dig in!"

Joan did not need to be told twice.

Dinner was a relatively quiet affair unlike most the evening. The only thing the knight could focus on was the taste of perfectly roasted turkey and buttery biscuits. Saph and Terra really did a good job.

Once dinner was finished, Joan stood up, collecting the plates. "I'll take these to the dishwasher before calling it a night. Sorry, that train ride took a lot out of me." She had been up since about 4am in the morning and it was exhausting. She had to run from the airport to the train station in the middle of the morning just to make sure she didn't miss it.

"Go ahead and rest. Don't worry; we won't draw anything on your face." Saphron smirked.

"I'll make sure she doesn't," Terra whispered, loud enough for her wife to hear it.

"Thanks." Joan yawned. Once the dishes were put away she headed upstairs, closing the door behind her. She definitely needed the rest; weariness ate at her limbs and she flopped unceremoniously on the bed, not even bothering to undress.

It didn't even take her five minutes to fall asleep.

The next morning, after Joan had woken up, it was still relatively early. A quick glance out the bedroom window told her it was before dawn and she clumsily reached for her scroll to check. Five in the freaking morning again. I'm way too used to waking up early, no matter how exhausted I am. For once, it would be nice to be able to sleep in a bit.

She saw that she was still wearing her clothes from earlier and undressed, opening her suitcase to pick out something a little warmer. It took her not even five minutes before she was dressed in something much more suitable for the northern climate of Argus. Black jeans and dark blue long sleeved shirt would be all she would need to wear under her coat.

Brushing her hair she headed downstairs quietly and saw Terra was also awake, though albeit wearing a lot less than she expected. Her sister's wife was wearing just a long shirt that barely covered her panties and the blonde felt another blush creep up. "M-morning…"

"Morning," Terra replied with a yawn, completely unaware of the knight's blush. "Just made some coffee if you want. Saph's still asleep."

Didn't think either of them would be up at this time. And stop looking! She averted her gaze in a hurry, afraid that if she continued looking she would see even more of Terra's body than she bargained for. She does have some nice legs…no, bad! That's your sister's wife!

oh my God, Saph was right. I really am in the closet as they say. I never really paid attention to it. Would certainly explain as to why the hell I never even thought about going out with any of the guys who asked me out.

Joan made a mug, letting the fumes waft up her nose and slowly wake her up more. "What are you doing up? Thought you would have slept in."

"No such thing when you have a child." Terra cracked a weary smile. "One of us is up at this time every day. I imagine you're more than used to early starts, being a huntress in training. That's why you're up, right?"

"Pretty much." Joan shrugged and took a sip. Not bad. I think I can maybe nap a bit until some of the stores are open. Still need to buy Saph and Terra something for Christmas.

She wished Terra wouldn't stand so close to her wearing so little. Parts of her were getting warm and it wasn't because of the coffee. Looking for an easy escape she downed the rest of her drink and abruptly went upstairs, calling over her shoulder. "I'm going to try and nap for a bit."

Without waiting for a reply she hurried into her room. Once inside she put a hand over her chest, feeling her heart thumping painfully. What the hell was that all about? That was my sister's wife, for God's sake. So why?

Why am I feeling like this?

The blonde got undressed, unsure as to what the hell was going on. She didn't know why her body was acting like that and she didn't like it. Or rather, it made her feel guilty. Was I seriously checking out my sister's wife? The hell is next, Nora having a brother complex for Ren?

The more she thought about it, the more she realized just how messed up her teammates were. Oh God they really are. Ren is basically her brother with how close they are. My friends all have weird kinks.

She felt her face burning and she buried herself back in bed, hiding her shame under the heavy blanket. Nah, I'm just sleep deprived and it was a shock. That's all. Nothing to worry about. Go back to sleep, Joan. Your weariness is showing.

Joan rolled over back to sleep and didn't give the encounter a second thought.
