"We found his mother. She is down on earth." Doctor Clauds said. Chris, Phil and Captain Tailian were called to his office. Jim was playing a game with a nurse in the meantime outside the office.

"His mother? Where the hell was she?" Christ asked angry.

"Pike watch your words." Captain Tailian. "But well it is a good question."

"Why was Jim on the ship?" Phil asked.

"Jim didn't tell you?" Doctor Clauds asked.

"No haven't said a word about what happend on the ship." Phil said.

"What information do you got Doctor?" Captain Tailian asked.

"His name is James Tiberius Kirk. Six years old..."

"Wait Kirk?" Chris said.

"Yeah Kirk. You know the Kirk family?"

"Son of Winona and George Kirk?"

"Uhmm. Yes... they are his parents." Doctor Clauds looked as shocked as Chris when he realized what he said.

"We got the son of a hero onboard." Captain Tailian said.

"Yeah a son of a dead hero who is traumatized and left alone on a ship while his mother was on earth." Phil said.

"We need to talk to Jim how he got here. If his mother..." Chris begins.

"Hold on a minute. We get Jim in a minute. First what more information do you got?" Captain Tailian asked.

"Born premature. Was treated for radiation poisoning. Probably the reason his immune system is a mess."

"What you mean a mess?" The captain asked.

"He is allergic to a lot of things. Food, medicine." Boyce said.

"Yes. Well he lived and grew up in Riverside, Iowa. Got some school reports saying he is smart. And a... a police report?" Doctor Clauds said confused.

"Police report? Of what?" Chris asked.

"He had an older brother Sam. Ran away. Jim was following him but couldn't keep up. Sam crossed the road and was hit by a car. He died." Doctor Clauds read softly.

"Oh god. That's horrible. When was that? Why did his brother ran away?" Phil asked.

"Doesn't say why he ran away. But it happened six months ago."

"Six months? That's not that long ago. The ship was in space for four months." Tailian said.

"What do we know about Winona? He can't go back to her. Something is wrong there. Oldest kid ran away and died and she sends her youngest on a ship to space alone." Chris said angry.

"Authorities are looking into it. But if everything looks fine, he needs to get back to her." Doctor Clauds said.

"Well let's see how it goes. Why don't one of you get Jim so we can talk to him." Tailian said.

Phil stood up to get Jim. A moment later Phil came back with Jim holding his hand.

"Hey Jim. Good to see you again son." Captain Tailian said kindly.

"Am I in trouble?" Jim asked softly.

"No son. We just want to talk to you if that is okay?"

"Are Chris and Phil staying?" Jim asked.

"Yes they can stay with you Jim." Clauds said.

Jim nodded and sat between Chris and Phil on the couch. "What do you wanna talk about captain?"

"Jim we found out you were on the ship for four months. Can you tell us how you got there?" Tailian asked carefully.

Jim looked down at his feet. "Got trouble in school again. Mom was mad and Frank. I...I just got bored. I... the stuff was easy so I was done and I could do nothing than sit on my stool. I... I did something and was expelled. Mom didn't know what to do and was sad. She is also a starfleet officer you know."

"Yeah we know Jimmy. You doing really good at telling us." Chris said comforting.

"She knew there was a ship going out and a class would be onboard. Class for gifted children. There was one place available so I could go. She said this would be better for me. I would not get bored and would learn cool stuff and make friends."

"How did you like it?" Tailian asked.

"It was really cool. We did... did ex.. experiments. I didn't go in trouble and teachers listened to me." Jim said happy.

"That is good to hear. Didn't you miss your mom?" Tailian asked.

Jim hesitates for a moment. "Mom was sad a lot and me getting in trouble was not helping. Besides she was not that many times home. She is a starfleet officer."

"Jim who took care of you when she was not home?" Doctor Clauds asked.

"Frank. Or neighbor."

"Who is Frank?" Clauds asked again. They didn't knew the name Frank.

"Uncle. My mom and he are going to get married."

"Jim? How was home? Did they took care of you or did they hurt you, shouted at you?" Chris asked carefully. Captain Tailian and Doctor Clauds gave him a warning look.

Jim shook his head. "Why you asking Chris?"

Phil ran his hand through Jim's hair. "They found your mom. She is waiting on earth."

"Oh. She wants me back?" Jim asked in a small voice.

"We are making sure everything is fine at first Jim. But if it is then yes you go back to her." Doctor Clauds said as he leans his elbows on his knees.

"Oh. Was that all you wanted to ask me?"

"Yes Jim. Do have some questions or want to say something to us?" Tailian asked kindly.

Jim looked at Phil and Chris. "Are we going to watch the movie now?"

Phil and Chris both looked at Tailian and Clauds for permission. The both nodded. "Yeah kid. Time to watch the movie." Chris said with a smile and Phil lifted him up in his arms and left the office.

"This is going to be hard on all of them when Winona is going to get Jim." Tailian said.

"That is for sure. But the feeling that something is wrong in the Kirk household is still there." Clauds said.

"Same here. But I got a feeling they will not find anything. Our only hope was if Jim told us something we could use." Tailian said as he stood up to get the whiskey and gave them both a glass.

"Chris and Phil will not let him out of their sight if they suspect something." Clauds said.

As soon as they landed, Jim was pulled away in the arms of his mother. Jim looked not comfortable at all. Chris and Phil wanted to take a step to them, but they both were pulled away by Doctor Clauds and Captain Tailian.

"We have to let them." Tailian whispered in their ears.

"Can't we say goodbye to Jim and introduce ourselves to his mother." Chris asked softly.

"Clauds? Take them to hallway will you? I see what I can do."

The three of them watched as Tailian talked to Winona. After awhile Winona nodded but they didn't expect the man who was suddenly besides her and took Jim away. Both Chris and Phil wanted to go after them but Clauds had a good grip on both their arms.

"If we make a scene we are making it worse. Look Tailian and Winona are coming back." Clauds said.

"Gentlemen." Winona said.

"Winona Kirk. Nice to meet you. You have a nice son. My name is Chris Pike. This is Phil Boyce." Chris begins politely.

"Thank you mister Pike. I heard you both took care of him after the incident."

"Incident? She serious?" Chris heard Phil whisper in his ear.

"We did it with our heart's. It was our pleasure. We hope we could see him again ma'am" Chris said.

Winona eyes narrowed. "I would like to spend time with my son. It was traumatic enough as I could read from your report Doctor Boyce. You would only be an reminder of what happend. I appreciate what you did for him on the ship but I have to ask you to keep your distance now."

"I... I am sorry ma'am but Jim was very fond of us and we of him." Phil begins. Tailian and Clauds looked each other in the eyes. They could practical hear the hearts break of both Pike and Boyce.

"I have said what I needed to say. If you excuse me. I would like to go back to my son." Winona said and walked away.

The four of them all looked like they were slapped in the face.

"She can't do that, can she?" Phil asked softly.

"At this moment she can do what she wants." Tailian said frustrated.

"You can't do anything at this moment. So best to keep our distance. It could make it worse and we still want Jim safe. We keep an eye on them from a distance so we can intervene when necessary." Clauds told them. Tailian nodded and they took the two man home with them.

What they didn't know was who they were messing with. They lost Jim and had no clue where he was.

Present

"No wonder Jim never talked about him mom." Uhura said angry.

"Did his mother or this Frank person hurt him?" Spock asked also in an angry voice.

Both Spock and Uhura could still hear the heartbreak they experienced when it happend in their voices.

"I need something to drink if we continue this story. My throat is al dry from the talking." Phil said.

"Right with you." Chris said and Bones went to get them all something to drink and soon they continued the story.
