Megatron breathed deeply as he sat in the command chair; Firewing stood to his right, whilst Starscream stood to his left. It had been a year since he woke from his stasis, a year since he took by control of the base; with his mate by his side of course. It had also been about six months since there had been any Autobot activity; the Autobots seemingly going quiet. Though he didn't mind so much, he enjoyed the peace; as shaky as it was… They all knew that this peace might be broken at anytime. He suddenly grunted as a weight landed in his lap. "Firefall" he groaned. "Warn me when you are going to do that" he said to the silver and red mechling; who had grown quite a bit in the last year. He now reached half way up Megatrons thigh, his wings had fully formed some time ago; meaning now he could learn to fly.

"Ok sire" the youngling said, as he stared up at the silver mech. "I gonna jump in your lap" he said; his speech still not perfect.

Megatron smiled, as the two either side of him laughed softly; he cupped the mechlings cheek with both his servos. "I meant warming me before you do it. Not after" he said, he chuckled before leaning forward to kiss the mechling forehelm.

"Sorry sire" Firefall said in the most adorable way, his optics wide as he looked up at the large mech.

Megatron smiled fondly, knowing he could never stay mad at his son. "How can I stay mad when you pull that face?' he asked, letting the mechling go; allowing him to get comfortable on his lap.

"Sir" a voice said from Megatrons left

Megatron turned to find Cobalt, who had also changed quite a bit. He was now large, taller than Firewing by at least a helm, his armour seemed to have bulked up a bit, making him appeared larger and more intimidating; therefore the jetpack he wore had to be rebuilt to withstand his new frame, though he kept the same colour pattern. "Hello Cobalt" he said, taking the datapad that was offered. He looked over it, writing down some notes on it, before handing it back. "Let Soundwave know I have left some comments for him" he announced.

"Yes sir" the mech said, bowing slightly as he turned to leave.

Megatron remembered the day Soundwave had taken the blue mech on as his assistant, saying that with Soundwaves expertise… Cobalt could became the best hacker; and communications expert if he chose, that Cybertron had ever seen. He smiled as he remembered all the changes that had happened over the last year, looking back at the more memorable ones. His attention suddenly brought back to the present as an alarm suddenly went off. "What is it?" he asked, as he stood; setting Firefall back on the ground gently as he did.

One of the mechs suddenly turned to him, his optics wide with shock. "Sir, its Optimus Prime" he said, as the large silver mech approached. "He has entered Decepticon territory. Though he appears to be alone and unarmed"

Megatron stared at his estranged brother, memories of his life before the war suddenly filling his helm. He remembered the day that the blue and red mech had taken control of the Autobots, simply saying that the Autobots needed a new leader, one that would lead them in a more peaceful direction. "What does he want?"

"I don't know sir" the mech answered, bringing up audio to; hopefully, shed some light on the situation.

Suddenly Optimus' voice filled the command centre. "Megatron, I know you're listening" the mech started, as he lifted his arms, showing he was unarmed. "I am unarmed and alone. I have come simply to talk" the blue and red mech said, before suddenly sitting on a boulder that was nearby. "Please, I wish to discuss the possibility of a ceasefire" the mech said, causing nearly all the Decepticons to murmur in surprise. "I will remain here as long as it takes. But I need to talk to you… Brother" the mech said.

Megatron sighed as he turned. "Firewing you're in command" he said, as he walked towards the door.

"Are you sure you can trust him?" the femme asked, worried about her mates safety. "The last time you faced an Autobot leader alone, he attempted to offline you" she finished, wanted desperately to join her mate.

"I do not believe my brother would attempt such a thing" he said, as he looked at the femme. "I will be fine. I promise" he said, before leaving the command centre.

The journey to meet the Autobot leader did not take long, as he was well within Decepticon territory. He landed with a small thud, kicking up small plumes of dust as he did. He slowly approached the blue and red mech, still wary of their meeting. He would have been lying if he said he was not worried about meeting the mech alone. But still believed that Optimus; Orion, would not lie to him. "Optimus" he said as he neared the large blue and red mech.

"Megatron" the other mech replied. "I'm glad you came" he said softly, his voice slightly muffled through his battle mask.

"I will not lie Optimus" the mech started, as he lent against a large builder at least fifty meters from the Autobot, still wary of the other mech. "I almost decided against it" he finished, his arms coming up to cross over his chestplates.

Optimus smiled slightly, before suddenly letting his battle mask slide back with an audible click, causing the silver mech to stare in shock. "I came here to talk peace" the blue and red mech said. "It would be hypocritical of me to hide behind a mask" he continued, as he stood to slowly approach the silver mech. "I know what I did when we were young was inconsiderate" he said, stopping just in front of the Decepticon leader. "Leaving to join the Autobots, when I should have followed you" he said, his body staying as still as possible. "I regret that decision. I should not have left you" he announced, his helm dropping to look at the ground. "But I stand before you now, as Autobot leader, wanting to bring this fighting to an end" he finished, glancing up to watch the other mechs body language carefully.

Megatron stayed still for some time, contemplating what Optimus had just said to him. Although he was upset when his brother left him, he does see that it may have been for the best; for if Optimus had not have joined the Autobots… He would not be standing before him now. He thought about what life would have been like with Orion, leader the Decepticons by his side… But suddenly realised that if that were the case, Sentinel Prime would probably still be in power, and that thought made him shudder in detest. He looked at the mech before speaking. "What happened to Sentinel?"

The question seemed to hang in the air as Optimus picked his words carefully. "He became a danger to the Autobot cause. So a decision was made to exile him" the Autobot said.

Megatron looked the mech up and down, looking for any signs of dishonesty, but found now. He knew that Optimus would never lie, and it was probably the reason that the Autobots had gone quiet in the first place. He suddenly pushed himself away from the boulder, taking one large step forward, now standing mere inches from the Autobot, before throwing his arms around his younger brother. He felt the other relax in his hold; as the blue and red mech brought his arms up to wrap tightly around Megatrons middle. "It is good to see you again Orion" the silver mech whispered, his voice cracking slightly from all the emotions he was currently feeling. "I never thought I'd see you again"
