Hey there, community!!!

First off, I wanna say that I've never ever posted anything in any platform, and honestly, I'm excited, but anxious at the same time. I think it's normal, but there's always a first chance for everything!

I wanna thank Si3075, he/she gave me the push I needed to start writing a fic for him/her (sorry, I don't know whether you're a boy or a girl, so I'm really really sorry!). But yeah, thanks Si3075!!! I hoped you like this and I hope I wrote Kay or Alice or any other character as you imagined or something of the sort. I used the teams I referred in DeviantArt, (just their starter Pokémon, for Kay at least and I don't know, but I chose Arcanine, since that's kind of her starter Pokémon in my novelization), but the teams are not the most important thing, so I hope you don't mind about me using Arcanine.

I think this introduction is pretty long by this point, but I couldn't help myself. I'm nervous, whether it comes from school, which I've been preparing and I already started this Monday (that's why it took me so long, since it's been like... almost two weeks since I said I would write this) and I already have a lot of work to do, or from horse riding, since I almost fell from the horse yesterday and my arms still feel like jelly (I've never fell, but I will eventually...) and I never know what I'll do next.

But oh well, instead of speaking of my life, I should get into it.

BTW, if you've read this from the beginning, I think all of you might remember that I talked about novelization before. Yup, I'm doing a novelization of Pokémon Xenoverse: Per Aspera Ad Astra!!! It's in Spanish, originally, but if I finish it (may take me a year to do so), I'll eventually translate it myself to English.

Well, and that's it.

I want to give a couple warnings before you start reading:

1: I suggest you play the fangame Pokémon Xenoverse: Per Aspera Ad Astra, so you understand what this is about.

2: If you are already playing and have not arrived at the League, I want you to know that this is full of spoilers.

Don't say I didn't warn you! I just don't wanna ruin your playthrough of the game...

You can find it at Reliccastle's page by just searching "xenoverse" or "per aspera ad astra", or just go into Google and search the full name of the game to go to the official page of the game.

Just have fun!!! For those who are eager to play it now.

Ok, so I'll stop writing now and leave you to it.

Hope you like it!!!!!!

Team Dimension's Hideout was... interesting, to say the least.

But nothing out of the extraordinary, considering how all of the grunts were robots.

Kay, Alice, Trey and Aster walk into the hall of the hideout.

Kay was nervous. Alice could feel it. His hands were clenched into fists and she could have sworn she saw a drop of sweat sliding down his face and falling from his chin.

But her train of thought is cut off by Trey, who hands them a Team Dimension uniform each.

"Put these on. We're going into space, so if you wanna keep breathing, I suggest you do what I say." he says, coldly.

"Wait... There's just three of them. Aren't you going to put one on?" Alice asks with a stoic expression.

"Well I'm a cyborg. I'm half robot, so I don't need oxygen to breathe."

"Ok..." she mutters.

After a good couple of minutes, they were all ready to go.

Alice and Kay look at each other.

"You look good, Kay!" She smiles at him. He looks to the other side while blushing like a tomato.

"Thanks... you look pretty too..." Now is Alice's turn to blush.

They hear Trey clearing his throat. They turn to look at him.

"Yeah, well, if you are already done flirting... we should go now."

They nod and go separate ways.

Kay can't stop thinking about what Alice said. First, when they met, she said that he was handsome. Now, that he was looking good. Man, that girl really had made him lost his mind. And the fact that he already realised he was in love with her didn't make things much better. He had known since Hypelion City. Alice had been poisoned in the buffet too, and while he watched her sleep, he couldn't help but admit it. Even Trishout knew. He had laughed at him.

Kay shakes his head. He couldn't get distracted. He had to focus on the task at hand.

He made his way, Trishout alongside him, battling grunts and the annoying Golbats, Blingrudges and other Pokémon they possesseed. They were easy to dispatch off with Trishout's Fire and Sound type moves, so they weren't much of a problem.

He crosses paths with Trey, who was having trouble with Sergeant S, a bizarre fusion of A and B, the two annoying sergeants he battled a couple of times. But it was easy, so after that, he continues on.

It's seemed eternal. There were a lot of grunts. He starts having trouble with their Pokémon, so he had to use his other ones to go through.

After half an hour, what seemed like ages, he climbs a staircase that leads him to another room, where he finds Colonel Dhalia laughing at Alice, who was on her knees, with her Arcanine's head on her lap. She seemed to be in her breaking point, her eyes watery.

Kay's heart stops beating for a second. It hurt him to see Alice like that, defeated. It was strange, for he was used to see her cheery self constantly.

"Sorry, Kay... I tried, but... she's too strong..." He hears her whisper.

He poses himself in front of her, with one of his Pokémon's ball in hand.

"Don't worry. You did what you could. It's OK." He reassures her. It was the least he could do.

Dhalia laughs even more.

"Ohhhh, you came to rescue her!!! You two are so lovey dovey!!! Shame neither one of you is gonna live to show your love for each other after this!"

Kay frowns at her and takes out Trishout, ready to fight.

After battling Dhalia, she falls on her knees.

"Dammit! The Pokémon the General gave me were supposed to be invincible!!! I should've won!!! I failed him again! Even with his help!!! Now he won't wanna know about me! He'll hate me and I'll—"

"Why are you so invested on what he thinks about you?!" Alice cuts her off. "It doesn't matter!!! You have to be yourself, not for the others but for your own benefit. People shouldn't mould you as they please. They should support you in the choices YOU want to make. What you feel is not even love, I'll have you know! It's an obsession!!!"

Dhalia gets up.

"What would a little girl like you know about love?!"

"More than you think, Dhalia!!!"

Kay looks at both girls in silence. They really were scary.

He pays attention again when Alice speaks up.

"When I started my journey, I felt insecure about everything. But, as I went on, I met people that helped me feel more confident about myself. And I could understand all of this because of a very special boy—" She turns to look at Kay, but almost falls off, Kay catching her in the act before she hit the ground.

"What was that?..." She grows pale as she grips Kay's arms to help her regain her balance.

"We must be approaching the Moon." Says Dhalia.

Both teens can't help but nod.

After all of this, Alice asks Kay to go further, and that she would be right behind him. He knew she just wanted to confort Dhalia. That much was expected.

But it entrigued him. Who was that special boy? He doubts Alice was talking about him, but that could easily be the case. She even looked at him. That fact said much.

He snaps yet again from his thoughts and goes on through the spaceship.

It was the same as before, defeating grunts and all.

After almost half an hour, he felt lost. But luckily, he found a room where Victor and Aster were having a not very pleasant conversation.

Once Aster noticed him enter the room, he smiled.

"Kay! You're here!"

"What did I miss?" Kay says, while walking towards the duo.

"Well, believe it or not, and you surely will, he—".

"No need to rush, dear Aster. It's a matter of time he notices. There are more pressing matters to attend to." Interrupts Victor, while a faint smirk forms on his face.

"More pressing matters?! You son of a...!" Aster takes out Suicune's Poké Ball, but finds out that he can't send it out. "What? What's happening?!"

Victor laughs.

"Oh, my dear Aster, this rod that I have here isn't just an accessorie; it has a secret mechanism that enables the Poké Balls efects. Therefore, you will not be able to count on your dear team." Kay looks at Trishout's Poké Ball. Did that mean...? "Oh, but I must add that this effect does only affect one individual. I wanted to... eliminate the bigger threat and experiment the power of Versil's son. Right here, right now." Aster and Kay look at each other and nod.

"You couldn't have made a bigger mistake. Kay and his team are unstoppable. You won't stand a chance! " Aster turns to look from Victor to Kay. "I'll tell you about it later..." Kay nods, and his attention goes back to Victor, who had already sent Tyranitar; no, X-Tyranitar, what looked to be a Bug and Rock type Pokémon, after being altered genetically.

Kay sends out Trishout.

Move after move, the Pokémon, either Victor's or Kay's, were getting tired. But Kay succeeded.

He withdraws his Pokémon.

"Hehe... you really are strong, dear Kay..." Victor lets out a sigh.

"Show us where's my father. Now!" Kay glares at Victor, his look not faltering in the slightest.

"But Kay. What about THAT?" Says Aster.

"Oh, yeah! I almost forgot. What is it?" Aster looks down.

"Please promise me this first: try to control yourself. We don't want another accident like that of Quasar Express." Kay nods. "He..." Aster starts sweating, as so does Kay. "He took her. I don't know where. But... he kidnapped Alice!" Aster closes his eyes.

Kay grows pale. It couldn't be... His expression darkens and he goes to Victor.

"Take me to where she is right know or I swear to Arceus..." Kay's hands turn into fists, as he trembles in anger. Victor nods and takes them up a flight of stairs and in front of a door, bigger than any other door around the spaceship.

"Go ahead."

Kay doesn't doubt for a second and crosses the door, Aster following right behind him.

They still had to walk for a minute or two to get into the room.

As they entered, Kay's heart stopped beating. There he was... his father... It had been eleven years. Eleven... But what shocked him the most was seeing her on the floor, at his left, against the wall. Head hanging low and unconcious. There she was. Alice...

"Alice..." He moans as if he felt pain. He turns to his dad. "Dad...?" He whispers, barely hearing himself.

He turns around. Kay hears Aster saying "Master..." behind him.

"Oh..." Versil turns around, with a happy and kind of confident expression, as if he was waiting for them. "I wasn't expecting you now, but I knew that you would find this out sooner or later." Versil turns to face them. "Kay... you look well. How's your mother?"

Kay stands still, frozen in place, unable to talk. How? What? Why was he working with them...?

"Master... I don't believe it... You are... working for Team Dimension?" Aster says, trembling.

"More like... they are working under my orders." Both Kay and Aster put on a shocked expression. "That's right. I'm the leader of Team Dimension."

Kay clenched his hands into fists yet again, his knuckles going white.

"Your son... Your son faced the world to find you... And what he finds is THIS?!"

Kay sweats even more. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"It was all for your well-being. I did this to protect you both and my wife. I understand that you are confused. But I will explain lat—"

"You expect us to believe in anything you say?! It won't mean a fucking shit to us!!! And look!!!" Aster points at Alice. "Why?! What have you done to her?! It's not her fault!!! She doesn't have anything to do with this!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS! YOU ARE A MONST—" Aster cuts his shouts when he sees Kay walking up to Alice and kneeling beside her, eyes dark and filled with emptiness. "What are you...?"

Versil and Aster look at him in silence. Kay takes his right hand and places it gently over her left cheek. He strokes it gently with his thumb and pulls a strand of her hair behind her ear.

He places his forehead against her right temple, taking her in his arms without a sign of struggle afterwards. He walks to Aster and places her against the wall near him carefully.

"Take care of her for me... please..." Aster was dumbfounded. He hadn't heard Kay's voice reflecting so much pain in the time he had reencountered him on Hadwarf. It was an emotional pain that struck him too. His voice made him feel the pain that the redhead was feeling. It wasn't as much as what he himself was feeling, and even so, it had hurt a lot. He couldn't even imagine the real pain he was in.

Versil sighs.

"A grunt drugged her off to sleep. She's not hurt, so you needn't worry." Kay walks to face his father.

"Explain". He merely said.

"First, you should know that my real name is not Versil, but Silver."

Aster scoffs.

"Even your name wasn't real. I imagine Clover was onto this, wasn't she?"

"Yes, she was. Her name is not Clover, either."

"Then she knew everything you were up to... That's why she lied to me... for eleven long years." Mutters Kay.

"She knows as much as you did before you entered that door. We needed pseudonyms. My past affected us more than I would've liked. My father, your grandfather, for that matter, Kay, was Giovanni, the founder of Team Rocket. It was an evil organization. And he was defeated by a mere child and his Charizard... I hated him since I knew about what he was doing. And I cut off ties. But the Interpol knew I was his son and investigated further. So that caused much trouble. After Team Rocket was dissolved, he discovered all of this. The Xenoverse and the X Pokémon for that matter. He... managed to enter the Xenoverse. And was ruthlessly killed by Dragalisk, the lord of that world. So after we got married, me and Clover fled here. We found shelter in Eldiw and put on false names. I wanted revenge, though. So that's why I'm here, as leader of this organization. But... even if I wanted to enter the Xenoverse now, I still need one important fragment."

He goes behind his table and presses a button. The two white cylindrical forms at each side of the table open to reveal two different Pokémon.

"Shyleon... Shulong... They were here the entire time..." Says Aster, whispering.

"Yes, and the last thing I need is... your Trishout, son..." He extends his hand towards Kay.

He steps back. His anger takes control of him and he lets it consume him. His Alter takes his place. He sends out Trishout to battle against his father.

He doesn't seem surprised. He lets out a Crobat.

Kay didn't even need to send orders. With just moving his hand, all of his Pokémon responded with every action he commanded in his mind. They were all consumed by the Xenoverse energy.

In the commotion, Alice stirred awake. Just as the battle was finishing, actually.

Versil, or rather, Silver returns his defeated Weavile into her Poké Ball.

Alter lets Kay regain control over his body again, and once he's able to, he falls to one knee, tiredness bringing him down. But he's still able to pay attention to everything. And so it seemed, the battle had opened a portal to the Xenoverse. Kay retreats back to Aster and Alice's side, not noticing that his friend had already awoken.

Silver chuckles slightly, angered. He needed vengeance, and he would accomplish that for himself.

"After you take them down, follow me, OK, Mewtwo?" A strange, mutated Mewtwo, more likely an X-Mewtwo appeared at his side.

"How is it possible...? A Mewtwo...?" Says Aster.

"Yes. It was my father's, so after he died, Mewtwo came to me, badly injured. We mutated it, for it was so injured that it didn't have a chance to survive. So there you have it. Deal with them for me." After saying that, Kay father dives into the portal.

All four remain stationary. Trey enters the room. Aster explains briefly what happened while he wasn't there. Kay looks over at Alice, aware of Mewtwo looking at all of their moves, ready to battle in case any of them approached the portal to the Xenoverse.

He walks to her and kneels beside her.

She was clutching her head, eyes closed tightly. She felt a slight headache, but nothing to strong for her to not be able to handle.

"Are you alright?" He asks. She opens her eyes and looks at him.

"Yeah... I... just have a headache. It will pass eventually..." He lets his head hang low. She worries. "Are YOU OK, though?" He looks up again.

"Yeah. Just tired of all this shit. I couldn't almost control myself when I knew about what they did to you. But I tried controlling my hatred and my rage. I just don't know what could have happened to you if I didn't..." He sighs. "Anyways, we have to defeat that Mewtwo to follow my father. Can you help me? Aster is under the effect of Victor's rod and can't use his Pokémon." She nods.

They stand, and face their opponent. They send their Pokémon, while Mewtwo examines them closely. It sure was going to be a tough battle.

And it was.

~~~•~~~
"Hey! Wait for me!"
Kay whirls around and sees Alice running towards him.
He hadn't seen time passing by.
They had been able to stop Dragalisk and Versil in time. So there they were. At the doors of the Pokémon league.
Three months... it had been three months since all that happened. But it seemed to Kay that a mere week had passed before his eyes. He didn't know why, but it had been a day since they invited him to Mt. Zodiac for a challenge, and he couldn't refuse, so he didn't have much time to think about how fast time had passed.
He returns to reality when Alice arrives and places her hand on her knees, trying to catch her breathing.
"You alright?" He says.
She straightens her back and looks at him with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine. How about you? I've been following you for a long time. I wanted to battle you before you entered Mt. Zodiac. You know, a little warm up for your Pokémon. If you don't mind, that is."
"Oh. Thanks! That's just what I needed. You wanna start?" She nods.
And of course, the winner was Kay. His Pokémon were stronger, but Alice wasn't far behind.
"Oh, also, I need to give you something." She hands him a Xeno Ball. "I found him in my bag after the Xenoverse mess, and it doesn't seem to like me that much, so I thought you could have him." He takes the ball and takes out the Pokémon inside it. It was a grey Pikachu. X-Pikachu. It reminded him of Alice's Pikachu.
He kneels at the Pokémon's side. He takes his PokéWES and registers it on the Xenoverse dex. More like updates X-Pikachu's page. It seemed that, depending of the gender, its appearance changed. That explained why Alice's Pikachu was different.
He may return to the lab to talk to Aster about it.
He returns it to its Poké Ball.
"Well, I have to get going now." She turns and starts walking in the opposite direction. But stops a few meters away. "Y'know, I need to tell you something..." She turns to look at him, but gets embarrased and looks at the ground, sighing. She couldn't say it. She didn't have enough courage to do it. She looks up again. "Nevermind. Just wanted to wish luck! That's all!" She whirls around again to go.
"Wait!" She stops walking. She turns around yet again. "You know you can tell me anything. We're friends after all." She looks at Kay her eyes open like plates.
He was right. He was her friend after all. But she doubted that they'd continue being friends after what she wanted to say.
"Could we talk outside, then? It's getting pretty dark in here."
He nods and they walk off.
They get their Pokémon to the center and leave them there to heal while they go outside.
They sit on a bench.
"So?" She looks up to Kay, who was sitting at her left. "What did you want to talk about?"
She blushes a little and looks away to hide it.
"Oh, well... I wanted to thank you. For protecting me while I was unconscious."
"You don't need to thank me! I would do it again in a heartbeat!" He says, while a smile appears on his face.
"Yeah..." She smiles faintly.
"But..." She looks him. He was looking at his clasped hands, elvows on his knees. "I was scared. I thought... I thought I wouldn't make it on time, or that I wouldn't be able to save you." He turns to look at her.
They look into each others eyes, trying to figure out what the other was feeling. She saw that he was hurting. It was the thought of failing to save her that hurt him the most.
It hurt her too, so she looked down after some seconds, not able to look into his pained eyes anymore. He does the same. They stay like that for various minutes. Only after the sun had started setting behind the trees did she break the silence.
She slides her hand and places it atop his. He looks at her.
"Don't worry. I'm fine. You're fine. And that's it. The rest doesn't matter right now." She looks at him again. His eyes reflected only surprise. And that relaxed her. After all, he couldn't blame himself for anything. He had saved her in the end.
She smiles at him.
"Thanks..." He whispers. She hides her surprise when he slides his arms around her waist and places his chin on her shoulder. She reciprocates the gesture. They pull apart after a while.
But they don't pull apart completely. Kay's hands linger on her waist and her hands on his shoulders. He starts approaching slowly, eyes focused on her lips. Her eyes close by instinct, waiting for what she had been waiting for a long time. One of his hands goes up and strokes her cheek softly. Her hands move to his neck.
After all this, the short distance that had been separating their lips dissapears.
They kissed. They finally kissed! She almost couldn't believe it... His lips were so soft against hers. It's as if they weren't even there. He separates after a couple of seconds, blushing furiously.
"I'm sorry... I... I—"
She cuts him off, kissing him gently for a couple seconds more. They separate yet again.
"Don't worry, silly. I like it." She laughs softly.
"Wait... so... you're not mad at me?" She laughs harder.
"Of course not. Actually, I had been waiting for that to happen for a long time." She says, blushing.
"I... I had been waiting for that too!" They look at each other seriously, but they break in laughter soon after.
They laugh for a short time though. Kay grabs Alice's hands gently and kisses each nuckle, what makes her laugh and feel butterflies in her stomach.
"Such a gentleman you are." She laughs.
"Yes. And a such, we should make this official, don't you think, milady?" They laugh again at their cheesyness. But he had been serious. He loved her, and he wanted her to know that. "No but seriously... I want you to know that I'm love with you... I've been for some time now. Since that mess in Hypelion City, I couldn't stop thinking about you. That episode is something I don't want to repeat, by the way." They laugh briefly. "But I'm thankful that it happened, in a way. It made me open my eyes and realize that I had fallen in love for you. I love you, and that's it."
She blinks a couple of times. She hadn't expected his confession to sound so... beautiful, emotional.
She clears her throat.
"That was... so beautiful, Kay. You didn't need to be so emotional, dammit... You'll make me cry one of these days." He chuckles. "Well, as for me... I... I don't know exactly when I fell in love for you, but I know that since day one, I knew you were someone that I could count on, and I was right. Love came soon after that. That's all. And, yeah, if you don't want to revive Hypelion City, imagine me... What I had so suffer, ugh." They laugh yet again.
He wraps his arms around her waist again.
"Let me ask you just one more thing. Do you want to be my... girlfr—?" Alice grabs his cheeks and kisses him before he can finish his question.
They separate.
"Does that answer your question? Because I think it wasn't necessary!" She laughs, Kay looking at her with eyes open like plates.
"Yeah... pretty much." He approaches again and kisses her softly, whispering "I love you" before doing so.
They kiss for some minutes before it starts to get cold outside.
They walk into the Pokémon Center, holding hands.
If Kay was somewhat confident about winning the challenge, he was absolutely sure he was going to win now.
They had found it, at last.
She found him. He found her.
They had found each other, and they knew they'd remain like that forever.
~END~
Well that's how it went out! I hope you all liked it.
Replies are always appreciated, but I would like them not to be rude, for I've never posted anything and I tried to put all my effort into this. Also, I took it all from my memory, all those scenes. Maybe who played the game catches where those scenes begin and when do I made changes. I didn't even look into any video, so I don't know how much it reminded of the original texts and actions.
If you catch any error, I appreciate you reply about them, for English is not my maternal language, Spanish is, so errors are common, for they're not similar in the slightest, though I've been studying English since I was three years old. But I can never be sure, so please type them out if you see them, or see any expression that I used incorrectly.
Well then, I'll take my leave now.
See you soon!
