Chapter Nine
Jonas went to get up to grab her food from the tables located behind her. She was confused since some of the foods she had no idea what was in the first place. Otherwise, she was going to try the cheeseburger and fries along with a milkshake.
Still, she continued to have the images in her mind. One thing for sure she was going to make a few calls using her cell phone given to her by Fox Mulder in order to stay in contact.
Once she had sat down with the other three quiet having to finish up. "We will see you later at the exercise court Jonas?" Alex had to say with a smirk showing on his face.
"Sure, later everyone!" Jonas said with watching the three of them leave to head for their quarters.
Meanwhile, Jonas began to eat her food getting to know the tastes and smells of the foods she had been eating. However, the mental images had gone from her mind.
She pulled out her cell phone to speak with William, Mulder, and Scully.
"What are you trying to say, Jonas?" Fox Mulder needed to know what exactly she was trying to tell him over the phone. He had been sitting in the library working on the computer terminal for when she called.
"I am trying to tell you, Mulder, that one of the test subjects named Judith is not what she seems and is willing to destroy the project for whatever her purpose might be?" Jonas had said while looking around for anyone to be listening in. "Is there anything that I might be able to do Mulder?"
"I will have to say that you need to keep it simple once into the program to know them further with the using of the serum. Hopefully, once they have given it to you. Maybe you're able to understand better as to why she wants to destroy the project?" Mulder needed to say with Scully walking into the library listening to some of the conversations.
"Understand Mulder, and thanks," she noted before hanging up the phone while William was sleeping and she didn't wish to bother him until later.
She had gotten up to head for her quarters before the exercises begin later with the rest of the group.
Mulder looked up to see his wife with an expression that he knew really well. "What?" he said with slight annoyance in his demeanor.
"And what makes you think Jonas will be able to find out why this Judith wants to destroy the project in the first place?" Scully says.
"I don't know Scully. Nevertheless, we need to find out soon before someone gets hurt in the process?" he states with getting up to grab her into an embrace asking how she was feeling.
"I am fine other than the fact I am concerned about Catherine asleep in the nursery with no further movements of the mobiles?" she responded with Mulder bent down to kiss her with passion during all of the 25 plus years they had been together.
"Maybe it was nothing at all Scully?" Mulder needed to say to her. "However for Jonas, she will have to work it out with those members of the project. I will have to ask A. Skinner whether he knows anything about the project? I will call him in a few moments?"
"Well in that case I will have out back to the bedroom to try and get some sleep after the past few days?" she noted with an expression that her husband and partner had missed.
A. Skinner was having to be reading in the library of his house in Alexandria with his wife of five years Catherine.
His cell phone had been sitting on the coffee table on the side of him when his phone started to vibrate. Looking at the time he had no idea just who might be calling HIM. When all of a sudden it had turned out to be Special Agent Fox Mulder.
"Mulder good evening, what 's up with you calling?" he had to say with pulling off his glasses for the moment.
Fox Mulder went into why he was calling in the first place and the name of the project for the military. 'I need to know sir on whether this project is not part of the old Consortium organization?" he noted with his tone having to be serious.
"No way in hell will the military the Consortium to allow this of the project without good cause. However, using the serum that you mention might be good in a big way? However, I only heard good things that the serum has been working by those in charge of the project?"
"And from what Jonas has told me Skinner that she thinks that someone in the group is thinking of trying to destroy the project?" Mulder cried out with his response.
"If this is the case Mulder? I suggest that she gets out quickly after being given the serum and with the name of this particular person sending those images to Jonas?" Skinner had to say.
"I will call her tomorrow with your suggestion sir, otherwise I will be in the office in the morning to work on those two X Files that you asked me to do as with Scully?" he responded.
"I should have further Information in the morning with the update Mulder. And do me a favor please be careful with your movement and whether or not the Consortium and of course the son of a bitch The smoking man?" he cried out with placing his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose.
"I will do my best sir. Especially with Scully having been spooked of late with our daughter Catherine," he said.
"Why? What has happened that I don't know about Mulder?" he was serious with the question.
"She believes that Catherine had the same powers as William did when he was an infant." he snapped back with his response.
