It's been a week since Dr. Emilia came back into the picture and everyone has been talking about her return.
The mutes have been angry and wanted a chance for revenge against Dr. Emilia after everything she'd done to those from their packs with the cure.
Kipo and her friends have been keeping the mutes reassured that the insane woman wouldn't try to change them back into normal animals like before.
Other humans have started a watch group in case Dr. Emilia tried to use the cure on anyone but so far, no one has seen her in the city at all or at the beach.
Nora could still sense that Emilia's heart was overflowing with guilt over everything that she'd ever done since waking up from cyro-sleep in the underground lab.
It seemed as if Nora's old mentor wanted to change her past by starting over again after apologizing to everyone but someone needed to help find the right words.
"I don't think we should trust her." Wolf said without hesitation, Nora and the others were with the timber cats. "I completely agree with Wolf." Dave spoke up after her.
Nora and Kipo frowned at them. "I'm still on the fence about what to do." Kipo admitted sadly, she glanced over to Nora and Benson while the former watched them.
"What if Emilia does want to change?" Benson asked Nora, everyone focused on her. "I want to talk to her and see what's really going on." Nora responded softly.
Lio and Song looked concerned while Molly was outright against letting Nora anywhere near Emilia but they knew she could get through to her old teacher easily.
Just then, another timber cat named Ruffles ran into the mess hall. "Dr. Emilia is here!" Ruffles shouted in urgency, everyone followed him back outside to see her.
Emilia stood a few feet back as the other timber cats looked at her in anger. "How do we keep them back?" Dave asked nervously, Nora knew how to handle the situation.
"Get the timber cats back inside." Nora told Molly, she looked surprised by the order. "What? Why?" Molly asked her, Nora sighed tiredly before whispering her plan to Molly.
Hearing about Nora's plan made Molly shudder slightly but then nodded. "Got it but Kipo will step in if Emilia tries anything." Molly told Nora, she nodded in agreement with Kipo.
Emilia watched in confusion as the timber cats and other mutes went back inside the buildings as they watched her before she started to hear music play a sweet, soft melody.

All the humans and mutes watched in awe as Nora's song made the sky grow dark and rain fall down onto her and Emilia which is why Nora had wanted the timber cats to get inside their houses right away.
The scenery around will someday wither,

Soon, Nora and Emilia were facing each other as the rain continued to fall onto them but neither girl cared as they smiled gently since they both understood what the other wanted from the moment they hugged.

At the end of the song, Nora and Emilia pulled apart then looked at each other. "Nora, everyone...I'm so sorry for everything I've ever done!" Emilia said as she started to cry while apologizing to everyone present.
Every human and mute were stunned into silence as they watched Emilia, the same mad scientist who had wanted to bring the old world back, break down and apologize to them for trying to take away their home.
"Are you really?" Nora asked softly, Emilia looked at her with tears streaming down her face. "I am and I realized that I was acting just like the masked man." Emilia responded to Nora, her eyes widened in surprise.
Everyone watched as their new friend looked deep into Emilia's eyes. "I believe you and I'll help you change into a better person." Nora replied with a smile, she could see the regret in Emilia's eyes and forgave her.
"Thank you, Nora." Emilia said softly, Kipo stepped forwards with wary in her eyes. "You have a lot to make up for but I'll help you too." Kipo told Emilia, the scientist nodded as she knew what she had to do now.
"Tell me what I need to do." Emilia said to the young girl, Lio and Song went over to Emilia. "Why don't you start with changing the others back?" Song told Emilia, she was confused until she got what Song meant.
Emilia agreed to reverse the cure so she could change back some of the mutes from normal animals to how they had been before she made the cure but only if Nora watched her as she trusted the young red head.
Nora smiled at her old mentor as she thought of ideas on how to get some things from the old back, like t.v. for example so other humans could see shows that they had grown up with and get the internet back up.
The young red head could only hope that everything would be okay now that Emilia was going to keep her promise but soon she shuddered in worry as that feeling meant that something was going to happen soon.
Nora's feelings were right since someone was in another underground lab watching all the humans and mutes as the person let out an evil, cruel laugh as they made plans for taking over the world just like in the past.
