Williams Return
Chapter 12th
William was asleep in bed in his room. When he felt Jonas calling to him. It had felt odd that she will be contacting him this way. Even though he was supposed to have lost his abilities with the device the aliens had used on him during the past year.
Sitting up in bed. He was having the image of Samuels that she had sent to him with someone having been choke to death by a rope.
This was distrusting to him needing to speak with his father downstairs sleeping on the couch. Getting up with places on his slippers, and black robe to head downstairs in the semi-light.
Standing over his father under the blankets. He will call out to him with a whispered. "Dad can you hear me I need your help?" he cried out with waiting for his father to wake.
He had opened his eyes slowly to figure out where he's at. "What's wrong William?" he will ask with sitting up to wipe away the sleep from his eyes.
"I just received a mental image from Jonas telling me that one of the project subjects had been killed by someone with a rope and Jonas knows who had killed him in his quarters." William takes a deep breath looking down at his father.
"Who is it, William?" Mulder will ask with now standing up from the couch after removing the blankets.
'Samuels, I was able to see through her eyes dad the killer. What are we to do right now with Jonas in danger at the base?" William was desperate with his plea.
"We are going to the military base to speak with the commander and find out the truth of the matter. I suggest you get dressed and bring along supplies for the trip. I will be doing the same with needing to wake Scully.
"I am already asleep Mulder. I received that very same image and I have no idea how this was happening to me?" she responded in distress coming over to her husband and into an embrace.
"How is this possible Dad?' William barked with his question.
"I have no idea, William. Maybe Jonas has some type of ability that can sense things in her mind that she wasn't able to tell you?" Mulder noted with a deep breath with Scully heading for the kitchen to make coffee for the both of them. "You will need to get ready while I make coffee and other essentials for the drive to the base. This is a serious matter? she inquired with her suggestion.
William had been thinking about Jonas the day he had met her on the slave planet. There were things that he didn't still know about her in many ways.
Getting dressed quickly as possible by taking a look at his reflection in the mirror of his room. He didn't like what he was seeing of a double image. With the shake of his head and seeing normal himself again. Afterward, he headed out with his father downstairs talking to Scully.
"Mulder please be careful when you're inside the base? Anything can happen with the murder of the project test subject?" she noted with standing on tippy toes to kiss her husband for when she is not wearing high heels.
"I understand Scully. But this entire situation has been stranger than fiction when it comes to being an X File of all things. Still with Skinner needs to call me since I had left a voicemail to call me with the Intel since I will be at the base?" Mulder needed to say to his wife with concern for herself and the family.
William walked over to them to interrupt the heavy conversation. "Dad, I am ready to leave?" he said calmly even though he's been fighting an inner batter inside.
"I have everything ready for the both of you. Please call Mulder on whether or not if you know anything?" Scully is able to hand him the coffee container and sandwiches plus the snacks to keep them going energy-wise.
One hour and thirty minutes later with Fox Mulder driving like a maniac on the highway with very little traffic. Even William wasn't used to the way his father was driving.
When they finally arrived at the base. Mulder had shown his I.D. pass as with William in order to get inside and the main building for where the project was located. The security officers had advised them that there was an investigation going on with one of the members of the project who had been found dead choked to death.
Finding a parking space in front of the building. Mulder and William once again had shown the pass in order to walk inside.
There was a whirlwind of activity with security and personnel. While the project members were locked down into their quarters. Even though they will be able to speak with Jonas and others.
When they had reached Jonas's room. She had been sitting in a chair trying to relax with her mind and other factors. She had been able to feel William's mind arriving at the base.
She had gotten up from the chair to open the door thrilled to see them both. "Was there any problems with getting here Mulder?"
"Not a one Jonas. Tell me just what the hell happened tonight?" Mulder needed to say.
However, Jonas was able to explain the entire situation to both of them. "I must tell you that something else is going on besides killing one of the project members?" she will say with a deep breath and a cough.
"What do you think it might be Jonas?" William will ask this time with the question.
"I don't have a clue," she commented with the shake of her head.
She watched them leave the house heading for the vehicle on the side of the house. It was still dark and cold with the both of them wearing their jackets both Black Leather to be some what comical to see for SCULLY...
