Williams Return
Chapter 17th
Scully walked into the autopsy bay of the F.B.I. regional office in Washington, D.C., She was anxious to get started with talking to Doctor Reynolds as his equipment had been sitting next to him at the autopsy table with his assistant laying out others for the doctor to be using.
"Doctor Reynolds, how are you it's been a while?" she had to say with letting go of her facade.
He turns to face the petite woman of the statue after years of working on the X Files. "How are you, Dana?" he responded.
"Anxious to get started to help you out with the autopsy," she commented.
"I could use all of the help Scully with the body brought in from the base. I still don't know what we are looking for in the first place?" he snapped back at her with his comment.
"Do you remember anything about the Consortium organization?" Scully will ask him the question.
"If I can remember it has something to do with aliens?" he will have said to give Scully chills down her spine.
"Correct and the change of their chemistries for a number of years to try and take over the world for the most part and mostly impregnate women with the alien babies having abilities," Scully noted remembering about William and now her daughter Catherine.
"Enough of this why don't you get yourself ready for the autopsy?" he ordered with watching Scully moving to change into her blue gown, cap, facial mask, and before the gloves to scrub her hands.
Moments later she came over as the doctor was talking into the voice recorder to keep a record on the autopsy of Captain Ellison Dennison.
Three hours later with the autopsy with the both of them. They had found nothing really out of the ordinary except for the blood chemistries of the body. The lab had reported that a sample of the blood was the fact that it had been lacking a number of antibodies.
Otherwise, Scully was upset at the fact that they weren't able to find anything except for what was found earlier with the bloodwork. She had changed into her clothes by cleaning up with her hair, shoes, and a pray of perfume from her purse.
Meanwhile...
Mulder and William had left the base to finally arrived at the F.B.I. regional office leaving Jonas alone at the base for now.
Scully found them in the commissary waiting for her with a report. She was exhausted for the most part since she needed to call home to find out how everyone is doing.
Mulder had gotten up with his five o'clock shadow showing. He kisses her on the brow so as not to embarrass her for the most part. "Did you find anything Scully at all?" Mulder prompted with the question.
"The only thing we found from the lab report is the lack of antibodies. Why the Consortium was abducting the body is still no answers Mulder?" she looks over at her son William with the both of them exhausted.
"It just doesn't make any sense Scully?" Mulder looks over at William squinting with his eyes."What's wrong William?" he had been concerned.
With the shake of his head, he will say the following. "Jonas sent me a mental image telling me that she is okay for now. She is going to be following a lead in the morning. She said something about changing into a different shape." he noted with his words.
"I think we should be heading back home Mulder since there was nothing out of the ordinary with the body?" Scully inquired heading out of the waiting area to take her vehicle. Since her husband had his own with following her back to the house.
All three of them went outside into the chill of the air with a full moon cresting for the most part. It was going to be an interesting ride back home nevertheless...
THE NEXT MORNING AT THE BASE PROJECT
Jonas had woke early to find two more shocks and surprises. Two more of the project subjects died from the serum along with letters written by them that they were part of the CONSORTIUM to disrupt the entire project.
Base security wasn't able to understand why this was happening all of a sudden with the additional deaths. But for Jonas, her work was mostly done now with the project. Though the Consortium had given up on the project with the serum wasn't working and why Smoking Man and the authorization had given the order to pull out.
Jonas had found Debbie had been in her quarters packing up her things to leave for Montana where she was born. "You're leaving?" Jonas will say to her with sadness.
She looked up from her go-bag with making sure that she has the last of her personal belongings.
"I will be leaving once my escort arrives to take me to the airport and home. I feel okay Jonas, so please don't worry about me?" she will say to her with sadness in her demeanor.
"I know that you're going to be alright in my heart. I will be leaving myself soon as well to head back to my home state and my family and friends will be waiting to greet me with happiness." she lied but it was something that one day she will be looking forward to seeing in her life.
"Good luck Jonas and I hope you will find your happiness for the rest of your life?" Debbie exclaimed with her words breaking right now.
"I will leave now to let you finish up with your packing. I will be doing the same thing with myself since the project is finished." she turned to walk out of her quarters with seeing the female escort arriving and Jonas to head for her own quarters to pack with needing to call Mulder and William.
