Chapter 1: Of sisters and brothers

Sun was shining over Kuoh, and the twin brothers were walking out of the Kuoh Academy back home, in their usual clothing and with briefcases over their shoulders. One thing changed from yesterday though. The previous excitement from going into a new school faded as soon as they stepped into the principal's office.

Both Basara and Issei are trained a little in the arts of supernatural, but not much. Jin trained them a little when they were kids living in one of the Hero villages, but when Basara lost control over his powers, they were exiled, and Jin decided to leave the supernatural world behind for good. If Basara won't use his powers, he won't have anything to lose control over. Easy enough. So ever since they were around 9, Basara and Issei stopped their training in the arts of supernatural, and to be honest, they both welcomed the change. No new troubles, the boys attended school in peace, played with other human kids, and no supernatural people showed up in their lives. Until that fateful night Jin's past caught up to them, and both boys began to fear the supernatural world.

And in the principal's office, Basara and Issei both felt the same aura from the principal they felt from the attacker a month ago. And even when the principal didn't have his wings out, the boys knew, this place is ran by a devil. Strong devil. They should know as soon as they laid their eyes on him. The principal even looked like a devil. That red hair and goatee, blue eyes, pale flawless skin is the textbook look of a devil.

And even when the devil before them smiled and was very friendly, the twins felt like a gun was pointed to their heads when the papers for enrolment were before them. Fearing for their lives, the boys quickly signed the papers and left the office.

And now, walking through the school grounds, knowing this place is ran by a devil, they began paying attention to the students of Kuoh. And unlike on their way in here, when Issei eyed the gorgeous female students with a drool, on their way out, Issei and Basara noticed the devil's presence in this school, changing their admiration of female bodies to paranoid lookout for devils who would want to attack them.

It didn't help that Issei's scaly hand drew too much of an attention towards them too. The twins didn't talk to each other. They didn't even bother to whisper to each other, knowing full well devils here could hear it.

The walk towards the exit gate was dreadful, fearful, both boys expected an attack sooner or later, thinking this to be some kind of trap. But, the expected attack never came.

Along the way from the Academy, the twins passed an old building on the school grounds. Which was kinda surprising, since everything seemed classy and new here. From the academic buildings to the trash cans, everything seemed new. Basara didn't put much thought into the old building and focused on getting out of here. Issei on the other hand stopped for a moment, examining the building.

The building was three stories high, covered in black tiles on the roof and grey walls. The architecture was historical, resembling more Victorian buildings in England than anything Japanese, with a clocktower raised high in the middle of the roof. Parts of the building were covered in vines, and some of the plasterings were off, making it feel like the building was long time abandoned.

However, the building was far from abandoned. He was so busy studying the building, he completely missed the gorgeous crimson-haired girl looking from a window of the old building on the second floor of the building.

When Issei noticed and finally saw her, for the very first time he was not drooling at a sight of a busty girl. Believe it or not, he wasn't actually looking at her boobs. And there was a lot, and I mean A LOT of boob to look at. His eyes just widened, with mouth slightly opened taking in the regal beauty who appeared in the window. He never saw anyone close to being so… elegant.

The girl was around his age, with average height, her long crimson hair with two bangs framing each side of her face was touched by the wind outside, flowing in a gentle fashion out of the window. Her pale hands were gently leaned over the frame of the old window. Her crystal blue eyes looked into the distance, with a gentle smile on her pink lips.

Along with her hair, her short-magenta skirt with white accents flowed in the wind too. Apart from the skirt, her clothes consisted of a white long-sleeved, buttoned-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape, and a matching button-down corset.

These clothes were nothing new, it was a Kuoh Academy female uniform. Nevertheless, even though she was dressed in a simple uniform, standing in the window of a crumbling building, Issei could swear to God she looked like a medieval queen on a castle balcony looking over her subordinates with a gentle smile on her face. And believe it or not, her giant breast, slim stomach, and wide hips, and long toned legs were the last thing Issei noticed. He just couldn't keep his eyes off that gentle smile she was giving the world.

"Issei!" Basara hissed through his teeth, getting the attention of not only Issei but every other person in the area, including the crimson-haired girl in the window. This surprised him, and as soon as the red-haired beauty looked his way, Issei instinctively turned to his brother.

Basara's uneasy expression and nudging of his head quickly reminded Issei they are still in the devil's territory, and that they have to get to their father as soon as possible. Hopefully, they will go to a different school. As much as he wished he could stay here with all these beautiful girls, especially the one in the window, being near devils is something Issei and Basara can't stomach.

Without further ado, Issei quickly put the image of a red-haired girl to the side and ran towards Basara who was now further away, trying to get as far from this place as possible.

And though Issei put the thought of the crimson-haired girl aside, the crimson-haired girl curiously watched as the twin brothers walked out of the Kuoh Academy, trying their hardest not to draw any attention. The crimson-haired girl quickly noticed the unusual red scaly hand on the boy who looked her way a few seconds ago.

"Akeno?" the crimson beauty called out gently in the room, watching the twins disappear in the distance.

Unknown to Issei, there was another beautiful young woman inside the same room with the crimson-haired beauty.

This one had long jet black hair, and unique violet eyes, and fair skin. Her hair was tied in a long ponytail, reaching all the way to her calves, with two strands sticking out from the top sloping backward. An orange ribbon kept her hair in place. And like Rias, her figure was outstanding, even beating the red-haired girl in the chest department by a small margin, all of it wrapped in a Kuoh Academy female uniform, just like the other girl.

However, the expression of Akeno was quite different from the other girl. Akeno always has half-closed eyes, giving her seductive, or tired expression. Her smile too was quite different from the other girl. It was hidden quite well, but there was a mischievous undertone to it.

"Yes, Rias?" she answered.

The inside of this room was designed in a similar fashion as the outside of the building. Victorian coffee table in the middle with two dark green couches opposite of each other, with a candlestick on the table, with a tea cattle and a cup of green tea. And under it, all was a purple carpet. Then there was a Victorian desk in the upper part of the room with a chair, near the window, where it seemed like work is done.

"Is there any message from my father or brother?" Rias gently asked, turning her head back to face Akeno, who was sitting on the couch, sipping a cup of tea.

"I believe no, they have not contacted us in a while." Akeno replied with a brief smile. "Why do you ask?" the black-haired beauty put the teacup on the porcelain saucer.

"Strange…" Rias mused, turning around and walking towards the coffee table. Seems like she is the first to notice the Sekiryuutei is in Kuoh. Though it is rather curious. Showing a dragon hand like that, someone would have surely noticed and notified her of a dragon presence in Kuoh. After all, knowing who is recent Sekiryuutei is kind of a big deal and it didn't seem like the boy tried to hide his dragon nature. "I believe I just saw the new Sekiryuutei at our school grounds." Rias put her soft hand under her chin, mindlessly looking at the tea cattle in front of her.

"Ara ara. How interesting." Akeno giggled. "Should we contact the Underworld then?" Akeno asked with a smile and closed eyes.

"A little later. I am not sure it was actually the Sekiryuutei and I do not think there is a threat of an attack. Also, there may exist humans with a red dragon hand." Rias said, sitting on the couch across Akeno. "As unlikely as that seem…" Rias whispered.

"Oh my. She has a dragon hand?" Akeno asked, sipping her steaming tea with an innocent smile.

"He. It's a boy." Rias replied with a thoughtful expression, pouring herself a cup of tea from the tea cattle, emptying the iron tea cattle.

"Ara ara. Another boy at our school? That seems fun." Akeno tilted her head with another innocent smile.

"There was another boy with him. An identical twin I believe." Rias informed Akeno.

"Oh. That's double the fun then." Akeno smiled.

Now it was Rias's turn to giggle. "Do not get your hopes up, Akeno. I do not know if they will attend our school. They just walked past our club on their way out of the school. They may have just visited someone." Rias informed Akeno.

"Oh…" Akeno replied, a hint of disappointment hidden in her voice.

Rias let the case of the new dragon at their school rest for the time being. Who knows, maybe this is the last time she actually saw this person, so why create an unnecessary fuss about that?

"We still have time until our next class starts. What do you say on another round of chess, Akeno?" Rias asked with a challenging smile.

Akeno smiled innocently again. "It would be my pleasure."

Just when Rias was about to retrieve the chessboard from a shelf, a two red magical circle appeared in the middle of their room, emitting an enormous amount of magical energy throughout the room. Thankfully, both magical circles had a Gremory sigil in the middle. Rias and Akeno both immediately knew who arrived, because there are only a few beings that powerful. In an instant, Sirzechs and Grayfia appeared in the red magical circles with Gremory sigils, greeting Akeno and Rias with gentle smiles.

"Ara, ara. Seems like I will need to get more tea." Akeno giggled. "Welcome back, Lord Lucifer, lady Gremory." Akeno stood up, and bowed her head in respect towards the Strongest Queen and Prince of Destruction.

Sirzechs turned to Akeno. "Pleasure to see you too, Himejima-san." Sirzechs gently said.

"I'll help with the tea, if you'll let me, Himejima-san." Grayfia bowed in return, keeping her maid persona.

"Of course. I may learn to make an even better tea with you. I heard your green tea is unmatched in the Underworld, lady Gremory." Akeno said with a genuine smile on her face.

As Sirzechs was watching Akeno and Grayfia getting along and walking out of the room, Rias made her presence known. "Hello, big brother. What do I owe to your visit here?" Rias said, looking a little irritated by her brother's appearance. Not that she doesn't love her big brother, it's just… sometimes… he is too much.

"My little sister…" Sirzechs said with a gentle smile, walking towards her. When he stood before Rias, he was a head taller than her. Sirzechs raised his hand and ruffled Rias's crimson hair to her annoyance. "Can't a big brother come to visit once in a while?" he said innocently.

Rias blushed and pouted like a child at Sirzech's actions. "He can, but he does not have much time to do so, so I know he comes only when something important is going on back home." Rias pulled his hand away from her head with annoyance. However, Sirzechs just chuckled at his cute rebellious sister.

"You are as sharp as ever." Sirzechs commented. "Yes, I am here to discuss very important matters with you. However, I would like to spend more time here with you, considering I will not see you for a while again." Sirzechs said, now with hints of sadness in his voice.

Even though sometimes her brother is too much of a siscon, she couldn't help but smile at him. At least he still wants to be with his family. Though now, with Grayfia and their son, he may begin to forget about his little sister, when Millicas will take priority. After all, Millicas is the heir to Gremory Clan and his own son. And then there is the fact she will change mansions too once that idiot comes for her, reducing the time with her family even more…

"Onii-san, there is actually one thing I wanted to ask you too." Rias said, quickly shaking off the thoughts of being forgotten by her own family. The red-haired siblings gracefully sat opposite of each other on the couch. Rias with one leg over the other, with arms crossed below her ample chest, and Sirzechs sat at the edge of the couch, with one hand resting on the couch rest.

"Hmm? Go on then." Sirzechs urged her sister.

"Does the Underworld know the whereabouts of the current Sekiryuutei?" Rias asked with a serious expression on her face.

Sirzechs raised an eyebrow. "I believe no one in the Underworld knows the whereabouts of the current Red Dragon Emperor/Empress." Sirzechs said. "Why do you ask?" Sirzechs curiously added.

"I saw a boy with a red dragon hand walking out of the school today. I believe he is the current Sekiryuutei." Rias said.

"Red Dragon Emperor who doesn't hide his identity? That's indeed interesting." Sirzechs mused over what was said. Not to mention, why would the Red Dragon Emperor be in Kuoh? "I assume you have never seen this boy too." Sirzechs added.

Rias nodded. "Correct. Today I saw him for the first time. And I believe he was here with his twin brother. They walked together on the school grounds and looked a lot alike." Rias added.

Sirzechs eyes widened. "Tell me, Rias. You know about the Doom Bringer, right?"

Now it was Rias's turn to be surprised. "I do. But what does that have to do with anything?" she replied. And how could she NOT know who he is? Every devil history book ever has Doom Bringer in them, even though it only happened 18 years ago.

"Tell me. Do those twins look anything like the illustrations of Doom Bringer?" Sirzechs asked.

Rias raised her eyebrow. "Well, now that you mention it. Yes. They all have brown hair, and one of the twins also had brown eyes like Doom Bringer. Though, look like that is pretty common here." Confused Rias replied. " And what does Doom Bringer have to do with anything?"

And to be honest, finding an accurate illustration of Doom Bringer in history books is harder than it should have been. All of them are exaggerated, to the point he sometimes doesn't even look human. She was only 1 year old at the time, so she does not know how terrifying his visit to the Underworld really was, but when nearly all artists drew him as some sort of omnipotent rage-filled being, it had to be a real-life horror story. A story in which human was the demon, and devils the helpless victims.

"If one of his boys is the new Red Dragon Emperor, I guess now it makes at least some sense why a devil would attack them…" Sirzechs voiced his thoughts out loud.

When Rias was about to ask her brother what is going on again, Grayfia and Akeno appeared in the doorway, bringing new tea for the crimson-haired siblings.

"Tea is ready, Lucifer-sama, Rias-hime." Grayfia said, pushing a steel kitchen cart with a steaming tea cattle and cups in front of her.

"Thank you, Grayfia, Akeno." Rias politely nodded in their direction, with her mind still occupied by her brothers' strange behavior.

"It was my pleasure." The silver-haired maid replied.

"Likewise. You need to come more often, lady Gremory. I would love to have more of your recipes." Akeno innocently smiled at the maid in the room.

"We'll see what can be done about your request, Himejima-san." Grayfia answered, her voice that of a professional maid.

"Seems like we will indeed visit this place more often, Grayfia." Sirzechs said, purposely not saying 'my dear' at the end. Even in the presence of Rias and Akeno, Grayfia pinches his cheeks when he hints at their relationship…

"How so, Lucifer-sama?" the maid asked, and Rias had her ears perked up as well, anxious to finally hear what is going on.

"Rias, the things you learned are not all as they may seem. I believe now is the time for you to learn the whole truth about what exactly happened 18 years ago, and how the war came to a standstill." Sirzechs sighed out. "You may stay too, Himejima-san. I believe this information should be available to all devils in Kuoh." Sirzechs turned to the perplexed Akeno.

"Thank you, Lord Lucifer." Akeno bowed.

"Onii-san, what do you mean? Were we lied to about the Doom Bringer?" Rias asked, confused more than ever, and even slightly angry.

"No. You just weren't told the whole truth. Do you really think a human would kill Satan and God just because he hates supernatural and their superiority complex? Wasn't that too simple of an explanation?" Sirzechs asked, as his sister on the couch pulled her arm from under the chest, putting it under her chin, thinking about the whole ordeal.

"Now that you mention it… it doesn't seem convincing." Rias said.

"Until now, only a few devils knew the truth. However, since the situation changed, I will make this public knowledge as soon as possible." Sirzechs informed Rias and Akeno, who had her ears perked up.

"You see, the man all of the supernatural world fears once was a calm young man from the Hero Clan. A great prodigy, talented and kind child. As the years passed by, he, a simple human without a Sacred Gear passed all the other Heroes. A sword wielder with no equal, a pride of a human race they called him. As the war between the three factions was becoming destructive even to the human world, the Hero faction entered the war, with him as their leader. He was a genius on the battlefield, outsmarting very strong devils, but wasn't nearly as strong as we know him to be today. During the war, he met two women on the battlefield. A Seraphim, and an original Al-Shaitan. They were Raphaeline and Sapphire, one of the strongest soldiers in angel and devil faction." Sirzechs paused for a moment. "Now, we do not have concrete information about what happened after, but from what we gathered, after Jin met Raphaeline and Sapphire numerous times in private, Raphaeline asked God to stop this non-sensical war, as Sapphire asked the same from Satan. However, both deities were furious when they found out their creations gave their chasity to a simple man. God even more so since Seraphs are supposed to be pure, and if not, they should fall, but somehow, Raphaeline's wings stayed pure white." Sirzechs said getting confused looks from Rias and Akeno.

"I know it seems impossible, but it is true. And strangely, during this time, Jin was nowhere to be seen, and with him gone, the damage to the Hero faction became too great and the Hero faction had to surrender, leaving only the three remaining factions in the war. Shortly after, even Fallen Angels retreated, leaving only angels and devils in the war. During the war between Heaven and Underworld, Satan and God both began hunting down Sapphire and Raphaeline for the sins they committed. They eventually hunted them down, and killed them both." Sirzechs said in a depressed tone, earning even more confused looks from Akeno and Rias. They knew Satan was ruthless and merciless. They are devils after all. But God killing one of his own loyal subordinates? Isn't God suppose to be merciful?

"More years passed as the war waged, some already forgetting the Seraph and the Al-Shaitan who fell. But when it seemed these two women will be forgotten in history books like every other soldier, Jin Toujou emerged. And he was furious."

'You took my angel AND my devil from me… Because they loved me?! Because they laid with me?! Because they wanted to stop this war? Fine then. Since you showed no mercy, neither will I. Prepare angels and devils, because in the same fashion you robbed me of my world, I will rob you of yours.' he said to generals of Heaven and Underworld.

Sirzechs chuckled in his story-telling. "No one took him seriously back then. Everyone in Heaven and Underworld laughed. All thought he was strong but nowhere near strong to even pose a threat to supernatural elites. Not to mention, being a threat to an entire realm of devils or angels seemed like an impossible dream even to the most pessimistic devils. O how wrong we were…" Sirzechs recalled the mistake the supernatural worlds made when Jin emerged and received a new nickname.

"I don't know what happened to him, but when he came back, he was much, MUCH stronger, without a Sacred Gear nonetheless. However, instead of a Sacred Gear, he came back with a magical ability everyone feared atop of being now incredibly strong." Sirzechs said, lost in thoughts. The great mystery of Jin turning into Doom Bringer is something he would really want to get to the bottom of.

"Anyhow, what I am trying to get at, is that that there was another reason God wanted Raphaeline gone. Not only she was no longer pure, but the white-winged seraphim also returned pregnant." Rias's and Akeno's eyes opened wide.

"Wha-" Rias interjected.

"I know. Seems even more impossible. Don't ask me how that's possible, because even I don't know. Now what I wanted to get at from the start, she managed to run and hide from God long enough to carry her pregnancy to term. And she didn't give birth to just one baby. She had twins. And I believe, who you saw today, are the sons of Jin and Raphaeline."

Sirzechs took a sip of the tea Grayfia prepared, savoring the taste on his taste buds, all the while his little sister kept getting surprised just how much of a story is behind Doom Bringer wreaking havoc over the Underworld.

"And that reminds me why I am here. I wanted to let you know, his sons will be attending the Kuoh Academy. Though I never expected one of them to be the new Red Dragon Emperor." Sirzechs again was lost in thoughts.

The crimson-haired princess saw how troubled her big brother seems. Her brother often has that thoughtful look on his face, seemingly thinking constantly about the important political stuff. Rias can't even remember the last time she saw her brother just enjoy himself for a moment. No doubt these events she had no idea about cause a lot of troubles in the Underworld.

"That's… a lot to take in." Rias sighed out tiredly. So Doom Bringer isn't just some serial killer, but rather a grieving man who lost his two lovers and with one being the mother to his two sons. "Why is this a secret?" Rias asked.

"To simply protect the Underworld and his sons. If a word got out he had children, a lot of vengeful devils would try to attack them, knowing full well they can't hurt Doom Bringer directly. Revenge blinds, and vengeful devils would not even consider what would Doom Bringer do to the Underworld if something happened to his children. But, since we already crossed a point of no return, it is best to let everyone know." Sirzechs said.

"What do you mean by crossing a point of no return?" Rias asked.

Sirzechs sighed. "The secret is out. Some devil already attacked his sons and we were very close to the repeat of the time half of the devil clans were slaughtered." Akeno's and Rias's eyes again widened.

"Rias. The reason why I am telling you all of this is that I don't want you to get these boys on your bad side. Don't try to manipulate them, antagonize them or use them in any shape or form. Just watch over them from afar and if anything suspicious comes up, inform me. Could you do that for us?" Sirzechs asked.

Now it became clear to the red-haired beauty why her brother visited her. There are a lot of devils in this school, and having these two here is like having a bottle of alcohol at the treatment of alcoholics. The bottle is highly unlikely to survive till the end of the night.

"Is Sona aware of them?" Rias asked.

Lucifer smiled at her. "She will be, Lady Leviathan is talking to her as we speak. And several other devils here in Kuoh will be aware of their nature, though they, along with Lady Leviathan are yet to be informed of one of them being the new Red Dragon Emperor." Sirzechs reached for the cup of tea and took another sip.

Rias sighed in relief. Keeping an eye on such important figures is way above her level. Busty redhead expected a figure of power and authority to watch over the sons of Doom Bringer. So having help from Sona and others is a very welcomed and needed support.

"We'll do what we can…" Rias averted her eyes towards her queen, who looked surprised for a moment, until the black-haired beauty's lips went upwards, showing another innocent smile with a mischievous tinge.

"Sounds's like fun." Akeno, standing next to Grayfia, looked at Sirzechs.

When Sirzechs smiled again, Rias began to notice that under that gentle smile of her big brother there is a fear. His smile always calmed her down ever since she was a baby, but now, she saw how he is forcing himself to be calm. And she can't remember the last time she felt fear behind his voice, if ever

"Good. Good. Now, let's forget about serious matters for a moment. Grayfia, please bring the family photo album I brought. I would like to show Himejima-san what a mischievous little girl you were." Sirzechs smiled teasingly as Grayfia pulled a huge photo album from her uniform and gave it to Sirzecchs from behind the couch.

Everyone in the room giggled, except Rias.

"Ara. You never mentioned to me you were a bad girl, Rias." Akeno innocently chuckled at blushing Rias.

"I WAS NOT!" Rias protested in a child-like manner, resulting in another chuckle from Sirzechs.

"Do not be fooled Himejima-san, Rias was quite a trouble child I have to say. Come here and look." Sirzechs invited Akeno to sit next to him on the couch which she gladly accepted. The red-haired devil pointed at one of the photos. "One time, she placed a bucket of paint abov~" Sirzecchs began telling stories of Rias's embarrassing childhood as Rias fruitlessly tried to stop him, all the while Grayfia gently watching the antics of her family.

As the summer sun shone over Kuoh, two young girls were standing in the middle of a park, looking at a map of Kuoh intensely. Both girls looked confused and lost.

One of the girls was a pale petite girl with long silver hair and purple eyes. At each side of the top of her head, her hair was held by a ball-like clip with a female symbol on it. This young girl wore a black dress with white frills, an outfit looking like a gothic maid. On her collar, she had a large keyhole that looked a little strange. The petite girl was intensely looking into a map of Kuoh.

Next to her, looking into the map white-haired girl was holding over the shoulder stood a taller girl. She had long light red hair reaching her waist and beautiful pink eyes. She was slender, yet very curvaceous in other places, having a perfect hourglass figure even for someone so young. Even when she wore a modest purple shirt with frills and a short purple skirt, she could not hide the very developed chest she was blessed with.

"You have no idea where the restaurant is, don't you Maria?" the red-haired girl with twin tails asked the smaller girl.

"Weeeeell. Yeah. But at least we finally found the park." The younger girl said, sheepishly scratching the back of her head with a laugh.

The red-haired girl sighed. "Don't worry Mio. We still have time. I am sure we will find the restaurant by then. I mean, it is supposed to be somewhere near this park right?" Maria looked around the park.

"Hello. Are you lost?" someone from behind them said.

When the two girls turned around, they found another two pale girls looking at them, both wearing the Kuoh Academy female uniform they are familiar with. One had beautiful exotic blonde hair with yellow-green eyes. The other cute girl had short green hair with brown eyes. Their figures were also similar, both slender, only the blonde girl being only slightly more developed than the green-haired one.

The two girls from Kuoh Academy were walking back to the school from their lunch break, and while walking through the park, they overheard the two girls looking for a restaurant.

"No. We ha-" Maria began.

"Yes! We are absolutely lost." Mio interrupted Maria.

The Kuoh students giggled at Mio and Maria. "Do you want our help?"

"Yes please." Mio said, taking over the conversation as Maria could only look down in shame. She is supposed to be the one to take care of Mio and she can't even guide them to a restaurant.

"Alright. I'm Shiho Aikawa by the way. Nice to meet you." the blonde girl extended her hand for introduction, a welcoming smile plastering over her face.

"Sakaki Chika. Nice to meet you." The green-haired girl spoke, her voice tired and sleepy, just like her eyes.

"My name is Mio Naruse, a pleasure to meet you.." Mio's warm smile welcomed the two schoolgirls and shook their hands.

"Maria Valac." displeased Maria introduced herself without bothering to do a handshake.

"So what restaurant are you looking for exactly?" Shiho asked, sliding behind Maria, looking into the map.

"Tonkatsu restaurant. It is supposed to be somewhere near this park." Mio answered, looking around the place still trying to find any sign of the restaurant they were supposed to meet their new family in.

"Really?! You like Tonkatsu?!" the green-haired Sakaki, who looked like she'd fall asleep at any moment suddenly awakened with stars of enthusiasm in her eyes at the mention of tonkatsu, clasping Mio's hands with her own.

"Eeeeeeeee…." Mio unsurely looked at the overenthusiastic girl as the blonde girl giggled "I am sorry about Chika. She gets excited when someone shares her love for tonkatsu." Sakaki tried to calm down spooked Mio.

"Heh… I…" Mio stuttered as Chika inched closer and closer to her face.

"We do not care about tonkatsu. We are supposed to meet someone there. So where is it?" Maria asked with a loud sigh and Sakaki again giggled.

"Ou…" disappointed Chika backed away from Mio.

"Follow this path between the trees until you reach the children's playground. Then turn right. That path leads to the main road. Across the road, you should see the restaurant." Sakaki explained, pointing towards the dirt path in the park.

Mio gave Sakaki a gratefull smile. "Thank you very much for your help!" she bowed politely.

"No worries. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have to go back to school. Take care!" Sakaki said.

"Bye." Chika said, her voice returned to the tired nature she introduced herself with.

When the two girls were out of hearing distance, Mio spoke. "See? It was that easy. I don't know why we didn't ask before!"

"Because we need to keep a low profile and this city is filled with devils. Any one of them could stay behind what happened at your home not so long ago." Maria reminded Mio of the precarious situation they are in.

Mio sighed. "Yeah… Though I wonder who did Uncle Sirzechs chose as our new guardian." Mio thought out loud. What is more curious is that Sirzechs told them they were going to be transported to a man who is much stronger than him. That narrows the choices quite a bit. The only devils that came to mind were the other Al-Shaitans, but they are on Earth. Not in the Underworld. So this is even more curious to the two girls.

"Yeah…" Maria quietly said. "Let's go. Our new 'dad' is waiting."

„Dad. Do you remember how I said that you transported us to a school that is Heaven on Earth? Yeah, about that. I changed my mind." Issei said to his phone.

Not long after they left the school, their dad called Issei on the phone for something. Quite convenient, because both Issei and Basara would like to have a word with their dad. They have a lot of questions regarding as to what in the name of all that's holy he send them to a school that is filled with devils.

„Ou. Why Issei? I thought you would like to be surrounded by a lot of beautiful girls." Jin's bored tone echoed from the phone.

„Do not get me wrong, dad. They are all drop-dead gorgeous. Especially the crimson-haired beauty I saw in the window. But they have this otherwordly beauty thanks to this tiny, tiny detail you forgot to mention. THEY ARE DEVILS!" Issei yelled in the phone the last sentence.

„Issei, keep it down please." Basara tried to alert Issei, because people of Kuoh were giving them, and especially Issei nasty glares. And what's worse, Basara knows any one of them could also be a devil.

On the other end of the phone, Jin was perfectly calm and chuckled. „Red-haired one caught your eye you say. Now ain't that interesting…"

„Dad, as much as I would like to discuss her heavenly badonkas with you, she is not the important part. THERE ARE DEVILS EVERYWHERE IN THE SCHOOL! YOU SENT US INTO A LION'S DEN! HOW LONG BEFORE ANY ONE OF THEM TRIES TO KILL US AGAIN!" Issei completely ignored Basara's warning and instead, increased the volume of his yelling into the phone.

And again, on the other end, Jin giggled. „That? Do not worry about that. I had a chat with one of the guys in chargé of the Underworld. You are protected by these devils. Besides, I checked Heaven too last night, just in case. Heaven will watch over you in school as well. You will be fine." Jin said. „You didn't really think I would risk another incident did you?"

Issei gritted his teeth. „Well, to me it seems you still risk another incident. We are literally surrounded by devils. Who knows which one will go after us."

„Issei, I know I failed you, especially you in the past. But make no mistake, it is in the Underworld's best interest you two are alright during your stay. Besides, these are domains of the devils I kinda know and to a certain extent, I even trust. I tasked them with the investigation of who attacked you and they were more than happy to comply. They will ensure you are unharmed." their father explained through the phone.

Issei loudly signed out. "Dad, we went through this already. None of it was your fault. It's just… we hate devils. And… they terrify us." Issei looked at Basara walking beside him, who only nodded in agreement.

"After what happened, I am not surprised. But you need to face those fears eventually. Now that they attacked once, I am fairly certain this is just a beginning." Jin quietly said, with a heavy silence falling between them. "Anyway, I wanted to tell you boys to meet me at the Tonkatsu restaurant near the park in Kuoh. And please, make it there before noon. First impressions are important."

"Uhm… why? We still have a lot of things to unpack at the house." Issei asked. "And what do you mean by first impressions?" Issei asked through the phone. Issei stopped and gestured Basara to stop walking towards their house, and with a confused look, Basara stopped walking.

"Moving will wait. And as for who are you impressing, why would I spoil the surprise for you two?" Jin chuckled at his end of the phone.

"Ehmmmm. Fine then. Tonkatsu restaurant. Near the park. Before noon. Got it." Issei scratched the back of his head with the dragon hand.

"Good. See ya there." Jin ended the call.

Issei pulled the phone away from his ear and looked at it with a raised eyebrow.

"So. What's going with the Tonkatsu restaurant?" Basara finally spoke.

"Apparently, our dad wants us to meet someone in around-" Issei checked his phone for the time. "-HALF AN HOUR?!" Issei yelled out. "Why does our old man always organize things at the last minute!"

Basara sighed. "Don't know. Let's go and find this restaurant."

"Excuse me for a moment, I have to go to the bathroom." Mio stood up from the booth and walked away.

She and Maria eventually found the Tonkatsu restaurant thanks to the two girls. With 10 minutes to spare before noon nonetheless. The man called Jin Hyodou invited them to their table and greeted them with a warming smile. He engaged in the usual, pointless talk about the weather and how are they doing. First impressions she got: BORING. At least this Jin guy was on time.

The same can't be said for this guy's sons. Yeah, they are gonna have two step-brothers, around the same age as they are. Another surprise Lord Lucifer forgot to mention. Lord Lucifer didn't say much to them though, saying it is not his place to tell them about their new guardian. Shame they got a new guardian… she loved it at the Gremory mansion, and young Millicas was a joy to play with…

As she walked to the bathroom, thinking about this whole ordeal, she regrets not asking Sirzechs-sama for more information regarding their transfer.

Apparently, this man should be incredibly strong, strong enough to protect them from other devils who would want her and her powers. And as it stands now, she is not convinced. The guy looks like your normal, everyday salaryman. Nothing special about him. And to her annoyance, he smokes. He politely asked if he could smoke at their table with Maria, and out of respect, she agreed. Nevertheless, it still annoyed her.

She already had 4 glasses of orange juice waiting for this man's sons. They are 30 minutes late! If this is who she is going to live with then God help her patience.

So, to avoid the smoke and relieve her bladder, she disappeared behind the corner and looked for a toilet.

And just as Mio disappeared into the bathroom, Issei and Basara finally entered the restaurant. Entering the restaurant, the boys looked around, hoping their old man is here somewhere.

"Where's the smoke, there's the fossil…" Issei noticed a cloud of smoke from the cigarette in the restaurant, revealing the location of their dad.

The two boys slowly walked towards their father's table, passing several other tables. The restaurant seemed nicely equipped, being fairly new judging by all the furniture around. Approaching the table, they noticed that their father's brown ruffled hair from the back. However, both boys were surprised to find a petite pale girl sitting right across from their father, and when they reached the table, both of them noticed the devil presence at the table

"Aaaah. Finally. I was beginning to wonder where you two were." Jin turned to his sons, taking another drag of the cigarette.

"Well, it was an unexpected invitation…" Issei retorted.

Both boys didn't pay attention to their father much, rather scanning the girl before them with watchful eyes. The petite girl tilted her head slightly, looking at them with confused wide purple eyes. Both thought she looked very cute and innocent, but by now, they know better than to let themselves be deceived by devils.

"Basara. Issei. This is Maria Valac. And as you surely noticed, she is a devil of noble birth from the Underworld. A clan of succubuses to be exact. Maria, these two are my twin sons. The green-eyed is Basara, and the brown-eyed is Issei." Jin introduced them.

"Nice to meet you! I am Maria and I hope we will get along!" Maria cheerfully jumped up from her seat and tried to offer a handshake to the two brothers. However, even through her cheerful greeting, both boys looked indifferent. An uncomfortable silence filled the room, with the girl offering a handshake and the two boys staring daggers at the girl.

"Boys. I believe I taught you manners." Jin said, now with more of a serious tone.

"You did. But… she is a devil." Issei looked at his dad in slight defiance, still not grasping how their father could move them into a devil-infested city after the attack on them.

Jin sighed. "You are not the only ones who suffered under the devil's hands. Maria and her sister Mio had their unfortunate run-ins with devils too. And I dare to say, theirs was much worse than ours. So, shake her hand and introduce yourselves like good step-brothers."

"WHAT?!" Issei yelled out. Basara on the other hand remained quiet, widened his eyes and Maria retreated her hand from the initial greeting.

"Like I said. You are now gonna be big brothers to them. Maria and Mio will be living with us from now on. Additionally, Mio will be studying at Kuoh Academy along with you two. So I expect you four will get along and watch each other's backs." Jin explained in a tired tone, putting out the cigarette he was smoking.

"Dad… the devils…" Issei began protesting.

"The devils are just like humans! Some are bad, and some are good. The two girls we are taking in are good, being targeted the same way we are!" Jin raised his voice, his eyes flaring with mild irritation. However, that was enough to scare not only his sons but Maria as well, who watched the interaction between father and sons with great interest, trying to find out if she and Mio are really safe with him.

Jin took a deep breath to calm himself. "Issei. Basara. I know living with devils under one roof, and in a town filled with them is scary for you. But we don't have a choice. Devils already found us, and I doubt that we would ever fully hide from them again. This way, we should be safe right under their noses. I am tired of hiding and running away. And as for Mio's and Maria's situation, it is not my place to tell you what exactly happened to Mio and Maria" Jin glanced at the petite succubus near him, who gave him a brief smile. "However, what I will tell you is that they are all alone right now, and devil politics is endangering their lives." Jin spoke, and as soon as he finished, he came up with a brilliant idea.

"Issei." Jin turned to his eldest.

"Yes?" Issei unsurely answered, all the while Basara remained his quiet self beside Issei.

"In those doujins of yours. What is the worst tag you can think of?" Jin asked, now perfectly calm.

"NTR and Ugly Bastards! Those are the worst!" Issei immediately answered, quite loudly, getting the unwanted attention of other customers in the restaurant.

"Good to hear. Now, something similar like what is in those doujins would happen to Mio and Maria if I wouldn't take them into our household." Jin answered calmly, crossing his hands below his chest.

"Really?!" Issei said with a raised eyebrow. Jin didn't answer, just gestured towards Maria, who immediately took the hint.

"Yes, unfortunately. I am mostly left out from the politics of the underworld. But Mio… she is the last of her clan with powerful hereditary magical abilities. If we wouldn't be given to your father, Mio would most likely ended up in the arms of some disgusting power-hungry devil, and as I am Mio's servant, I would most likely ended up the same." Maria answered, now without her cheerful altitude and more in a serious tone.

Issei's eyes softened at Maria's explanation. As much as he hates devils, there is nothing worse than finding a great doujin, and it suddenly turns into one of those unwelcomed NTR and ugly bastard surprises. Well, now he understands there is something worse. Instead of a fictional story on paper, it could be real.

And it looked like Maria finally noticed his red, scaly hand, though she didn't say anything…

"Dad?" Basara asked, finally introducing Maria to his voice.

"Aaaah. Was beginning to wonder when you'll say something, Basara." Jin smiled.

"Where is this Mio you keep mentioning?" he asked, his tone neutral.

"Good question. Your second step-sister is in the bathroom right now. So, shake hands with Maria, sit with us, and order something. I am sure you're hungry." Jin urged his boys.

After a sigh, Issei took a seat next to his father. However, Basara didn't. The younger twin needed a moment to really think about the whole situation. He isn't like Issei, who often goes with the flow. Basara likes to plan ahead, and if anything goes wrong, he needs time to contemplate. And right now, he had a lot of contemplating to do.

"I'll join you in a minute. I need to use the bathroom too." Basara politely apologized.

"Sure. The bathroom should be right around that corner." Jin pointed towards the far end of the restaurant.

And just like that, Basara left Jin, Maria, and Issei at their table. Along the way towards the bathroom, the gears in Basara¨s head already began spinning. He knows not all devils are evil… but it is hard to abide by that, when the devils he and Issei met all tried to kill him so far. This Maria looks innocent enough and judging by how their father spoke of Maria and Mio, they had it rough too. Basara really wants to be a great big brother to them, after all both he and Issei always wanted more siblings. Especially some younger ones they could play with. But… how can he be a good brother to a race which he and Issei fear and hate?

As Basara mindlessly walked towards the bathroom, he finally reached the doors to one of the toilet cabins. He briefly saw that the bathroom is shared, but that shouldn't be an issue. Locks exist for a reason. So he took the doorknob and tried to open it. And hold and behold, it was unlocked.

However, even when unlocked, the toilet wasn't empty. Right there before him, a slender red-haired girl with pink eyes locked eyes with him. To his misfortune, the girl was in the middle of putting her pink lacy panties back on. Both teens froze on their spots, redness going to their cheeks. Basara slowly turned towards the door he opened, trying to check if this really is a shared bathroom. The good news is, it was. The bad news was the message under the blue man and pink woman symbol.

"The lock is broken. Please knock before you enter."

Basara gulped loudly, turning back to the girl before him. The girl was starting to gasp repeatedly, and Basara already knows what will follow. Mainly because he finds himself in these situations quite often, to his misfortune. Before she could scream, Basara leaped into the bathroom and tackled the girl to one of the counters near the toilet.

"DON'T SCREAM!" Basara panicked and covered the girl's mouth, pushing the girl against the wall on the counter, all the while he stood between her spread legs, with her panties still down.

"I didn't mean for this to happen! It's-it's just an unfortunate accident! I forgot to read the sign!" he tried to talk to the girl who was flailing her legs and had a terrified look on her face.

"I am really sorry! I am no pervert! My brother is! So please, let's forget this ever happened and not make a scene okay?" Basara asked the girl, who by now stopped screaming into Basara's hand and slowly stopped flailing her legs. Even her eyes softened when she realized that Basara is no rapist.

"Uhm." The girl quietly muffled into Basara's hand and released her own grip on his hands.

Basara released a giant sigh of relief. "Oh, thank goodness. Thank you." Basara said as he released the girl. "You wouldn't believe how oft-"

SMACK

Basara received a huge slap across the face. In fact, the slap was so strong that it send him to sit in the toilet seat the girl was previously occupying.

"Ouch! Hey! Why did you do that?!" Basara rubbed his cheek.

Now that Basara saw the girl standing before him, he knew she was furious. She was cracking her knuckled, gritted her teeth with closed her eyes. "You have the nerve to ask me WHY?! YOU PEAKED ON ME IN A BATHROOM, THEN YOU FORCED YOUR WAY IN AND PUT YOUR HANDS ALL OVER ME WITH SOME UNBELIEVABLE EXCUSE! HOW DARE YOU TO TOUCH ME LIKE THAT!" the girl yelled raising her foot trying to kick this perv's head off with a quick right roundhouse kick. However, the girl forgot that she still has her panties halfway down, and when she tried to kick him, the panties stopped her. "Uhm?! Wait Wha-" The girl then stumbled forward, towards Basara, landing on him, her boobs enveloping his face, now suffocating the poor boy.

The red-haired girl sitting atop of him quickly pulled away. "You pervert! I am going to kill 100 times over!" she raised her hand ready to slap the poor boy again.

"O great…" was all Basara thought as he braced himself for another slap.

"Hey, kids. We heard screams. What's going on?" a voice of an older man rang behind them and the girl stopped the intended slap just millimeters from Basara's face.

"Oh no." Basara knew exactly who that was, and if he saw what he saw, he'll never hear the end of it. Basara and the girl both looked at the door and in them stood Basara's father. Maria peaked from behind Jin with an innocent expression to find out what is going on, and Issei followed suit shortly after.

"Dad, can't you read! You knock first!" Basara said though he failed to realize the doors were opened already.

"That's rich coming from yo- Wait! Dad?!" the girl sitting atop of him yelled.

Jin, Issei, and Maria all watched how dumbfounded the two teens seemed to be. That was until Jin saw that Mio's panties were halfway down and that she was sitting on top of Basara. To Issei's disappointment, Mio's skirt covered her bare bottom.

"Well…" Jin began clearing his throat. " I do not mind you two fooling around, but I expect you, Basara, to take full responsibility if you two manage to create something in the public restroom." Jin said, confusing Mio and Basara.

"Seriously little brother?! We weren't here even a day and you are already banging some smoking hot redhead in the public restroom?! How's that fair?! I wanted to bang a sexy chick ever since I knew dick is not only for peeing!" Issei internally, and externally cried out of happiness and sadness. Happy for his brother having this girl to fool around with, but sad for himself having none.

Mio's face turned completely red, and by now, Basara gave up on quieting her. Even if he did try, the muffled scream would be heard through whole Japan.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The walk back home was one of the most embarrassing walks Basara had to experience. After the incident in the bathroom, all members of the new Hyodou household sat around the table, ordered food, and talked. Basara had to repeatedly say that what happened in the bathroom was an accident and that nothing happened, to which Mio agreed and reassured them she could never do something like that with a perv like Basara. However, at the table, she quickly found out that Basara is very quiet, and Issei is the shameless perv. Not that it helped Basara. Mio still gave him a deathly stare whenever he dared to look at her.

Also, the girls were curious about Issei's red dragon hand, but every attempt at finding out why he had that ended up in an awkward silence which Issei had to repeatedly break with his happy to go lucky attitude. In the end, Mio and Maria both agreed to not ask further, when clearly none of them are ready to share that information with them.

At the table, it was decided that Maria will stay home, and will take care of the household when Mio, Issei, and Basara will be at school. Also, since Jin didn't expect two more people in the house when he bought it, Issei and Basara will have to share a room, and so will have Maria and Mio. Issei protested quite loudly, saying he can't jack off with his brother in the same room, upon which Basara suggested to do it in the bathroom. However, the bathroom option was quickly put down when embarrassed Mio stammered out she will bathe there and that she doesn't want any filth like that near that place.

So Issei was quite sulked down from that point forward. The two girls were walking in front of Basara and Issei on the sidewalk, but behind Jin who lead the way. They were talking about something, but Basara couldn't hear what it was.

So far, the two girls ïn front of them seemed like regular people. Chatting, chuckling, and all in all, enjoying the day. But… Basara is curious. And wary. Mio apparently has some great power everyone wants, and after today's events, it doesn't seem like she will tell them what it is any time soon. Plus, Maria will surely tell Mio about his and Issei's distaste and fear of devils. So establishing any good relationship with his new sisters will be a long way to go. On the other hand, Issei and he don't intend to share what are their own abilities with them too, nor what happened to them.

"Psst. Basara." Issei whispered.

"Hmm?"

"Did you get a peek under the hood?" Issei asked with a perverted grin.

Basara's face turned red. "What?" he yelled in a whisper.

"You know. With her panties down, you could steal a glance there." Issei said.

"Why are you even asking me that!" Basara quickly said back.

"Why not ask that? We share everything right?"

"Right…" Basara quietly said "Issei, even if I did see something, it'd be only for a brief second. Additionally, I think that this escapade has shut down any opportunities to see more than a deadly stare from her."

"So no… that's a shame." Issei replied sulked down and looked forward, at the back of their new sisters. "Hey, I think I'll give them a chance. They seem nice." Issei said, surprising Basara. Not even 2 hours ago, they agreed to be careful around them!

"I know you love boobs, butts, girls and all, but I think you are not thinking clearly. You are suggesting to get along with devils when we know how vile they are." Basara warned his brother.

"It's not just tiddies that convinced me." Issei began. "When I saw her, ready to kick you, I didn't saw a devil. She wasn't using her powers or had her wings out. What I saw, was a normal teenage girl who was caught in an embarrassing situation by a teenage boy." Issei explained. "We know how vile one devil is, alongside that the devil goons the attacker brought. And as father said, they suffered too." Issei pointed towards the girls in front of them. "If what dad said is true, and I sure think it is, I doubt they have any love for devils just like us. And if you still see them as a thread… that's alright. Someone probably should be on alert. I just… I want to have a normal family life, with the younger sisters we always wanted. And apart from this, I don't think there will be another opportunity because our father is as celibate as the pope himself." Issei said.

Basara stared at Mio's and Maria's back, as they walked through Kuoh. Out of all the moments he could make sense, he chose this one… it is so strange though. Issei doesn't hold grudges for long, so it doesn't surprise him that much that Issei wants to give them a chance. However, his father, that is another story. Jin always warned them about the supernatural worlds and how dangerous their inhabitants could be. The fact his father trusts these two girls so much… it has to mean something. However, that doesn't change the fact he still dislikes the situation. If anything, as Issei said, since his father and brother both let their guard down, it's up to him to monitor these two girls.

"I don't know Issei… I still see the day they attacked us, and it's hard to forget that day." Basara answered sadly. "The day I caused that thanks to those devils." Basara hung his head low, gently nodding towards Issei's dragon hand. Issei quickly slapped Basara's shoulder with his right hand.

"Hey! I said no sulking about that! We survived and that's all that matters!" Issei cheerfully said. And seeing a big grin on Issei's face, Basara couldn't help but smile lightly at his brothers' happy-to-go-lucky attitude.

"Thanks, Issei. You are the best, you know that?" Basara said to hi brother's eyes. Surprisingly, Issei blushed a little, not being very used to praise.

"T-Thanks bro." he rubbed the back of his head with his dragon hand. "Man, I just wish some of the girls held me in the same high regard like you do."

"You know, you can. Just stop with the constant peeking and porn watching. It's hard for strangers to see that under all of those perverted thoughts, you have a heart of gold." Basara suggested.

"Oh, hell you didn't just say that!" Issei burst out, completely ignoring the praise he received. "How can I not?! Have you seen how naked girls look like?! Those soft melon jugs, juicy peach-like rear." Issei dreamily began to drool, only to snap out of it shortly after. "I can never give that up! I need my daily dose of nude women pictures in my brain or I might go crazy!" Issei yelled at his brother.

Basara only chuckled. "I am starting to think you are some kind of weird, mad, girl junkie."

Issei groaned. "Once you'll understand the glory of the female form, maybe you'll understand."

"Sure, man. Sure." Basara waved it off with a laugh. Though, walking behind Maria and Mio, he couldn't help but notice some of the things Issei mentioned. And even through the skirt, Mio couldn't hide that nicely shaped bottom. Even Maria, though smaller, could make guys crazy with such a cute bubble butt under her gothic maid skirt.

Basara quickly shook those thoughts off. "Damnit… he has a bad influence on me."

Unknown to the family, except for Jin, they were being watched by a couple of Fallen Angels. As Jin was calmly smoking a cigarette in the front, he was thinking if he should scare these angels away or not. On one hand, he is fairly certain they don't have any good intentions. On the other hand, he can't always babysit his sons. He has work to do, and the kids may find themselves in tough situations similar to the one when the devil attacked their home. Though, these angels are nothing compared to the devil that attacked them. Jin turned his head and looked behind.

"Well… I think you all are able to defend yourselves against someone like them, even when you two are a bit rusty in terms of training. And this should prepare you for more tough battles ahead… After all, I won't be here forever." This should be a good test for his sons. As much as he wishes to be there for his sons, he won't be here forever. He, as a pure-blooded human, will die soon, and his sons will have millennia to live after his death thanks to the other side of their bloodline. They need to get stronger, and shielding them won't do that. And with Sirzechs under his thumb, his sons should make it all the way to a retirment age. It was deciced, he will not intervene unless his sons and now daughters are in danger of dying or being crippled for life. "Let's see if you four can handle four underwhelming fallen angels." Jin thought, as he watched the two sisters and two brothers chatting with their respective siblings, oblivious to the battles ahead.
