"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The maniacal laugh of the Joker echoed through the skies of Gotham as the Clown Prince of Crime fell to this death. Batman fell after the demented criminal through the clouds with the Joker having anticipated that Batman would try to save him.
Only the Joker had no intention of making it easy for him.
Batman had to stay clear of the bursting balloons the Joker hurled at him. They certainly packed a wallop. Batman kept out of the way by moving in circles, dodging the smaller projectiles the Joker threw.
"Come on, Bats!" The Joker howled as they fell. "You can't say this is not what we've both been waiting for!"
The Joked aimed and fired his gun, forcing Batman to angle his body and use his cape to glide out of the way. Of course, as possibly expected the Joker's gun jammed and he batted at it to start working. Taking this chance Batman flew in and delivered a punch to the Joker's face.
"Ooh!" The Joker winced from the feeling of the Dark Knight's fist hitting his face but got his gun working.
He aimed and fired but Batman grabbed the gun and redirected it just in time. Both he and the Joker growled as they grappled for control of the gun. Letting go, Batman slugged the Joker in the face again. This time the Joker let go of the gun but pulled out a knife, stabbing the Dark Knight in the shoulder.
"Gah!" Batman grunted as he felt the knife puncture through his suit.
"This is the moment we've dreamed about it!" The Joker cackled as he grabbed Batman by the neck, angling down to the streets of Gotham that grew closer with each second. "You and me, Batsy! Both going out in a splat for everyone to see! Don't you just love a happy ending, Bats?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
Batman grunted as he held out one hand and spoke with choked breath. "Ha-ha…"
Joker spotted his own brand made buzzer in the Dark Knight's hand, having swiped it from him. He grabbed the Joker's face before he could react and this caused a burst of electricity that shocked the Joker, stunning him into unconsciousness. The Joker let go of Batman and fell straight down to the streets. Batman was slightly dazed from the Joker holding his neck and cutting off is air supply but the sound of the Batplane roaring overhead caught his attention.
Shaking it off, Batman aimed down and dove after the Joker as they fell past the tallest buildings of Gotham. He reached with one hand and grabbed the Joker just as they were coming up on the street and fired his grappling gun at the Batplane as it flew above them. The cable wrapped around the wing and the Batplane aimed back up into the sky. Batman retracted the line that pulled him and the Joker up and into the cockpit.
With Joker secured in the back co-pilot seat Batman took control and armed a missile. The Batplane came upon the blimp as it came down from the clouds, the highlighted insignia for Joker card flashing to everyone who the blimp belonged made for the perfect target. Batman pressed down on the firing button, releasing the missile which hit the blimp right into the insignia. The Batplane crashed through the blimp as it began exploding.
Batman struggled to keep control for second before the Batplane crashed out the other side, leaving the blimp to burn up as what left of it exploded into a giant fireball.

A guard dollied to the special cells of the villains in Arkham Asylum.
First was Mr. Freeze who shooed at the guard.
Next was Poison Ivy as she blew a kiss.
Harley Quinn watched nonchalantly at a picture of the Joker she had been given.
And finally the guard came upon the Joker laughing hysterically as the guard focused on what appears to be a plush Batman doll hanging on a noose.

Commissioner Gordon stood on top of Gotham Police Headquarters, calling Batman via the Batsignal.
He didn't have to wait long as Batman landed behind him. "Commissioner."
Gordon turned to face him. "Batman, thanks for coming. I wanted to apologize. We found Harley's fingerprints on the Batarang that hit me."
"Good." Batman simply said.
"It's strange." Gordon crossed his arms. "I somehow feel safer knowing the Joker's alive. A living lunatic as at least human. But dead? He's the stuff that nightmares are made of. How did you know he-Batman?"
The Dark Knight had vanished from sight once again, leaving only the Batsignal to shine in his place.

Where did Batman go?
He landed onto of the same perch he had been on from the beginning of the plot, looking out across Gotham as the Batsignal ignited behind him.
He stood up, standing victorious but ready to continue his war on crime.

I know his lines were short in the game but I also make this chapter as a tribute to Bob Hastings, the voice actor of Commissioner James Gordon as well making this story to other voice actors who are no longer among us such Efrem Zombalist Jr, the voice of Alfred Pennyworth. As the voices of all the characters of Batman: The Animated Series you were all a big part of my childhood and the childhood of so many others. Thank you.
