Pain

There was some lingering pain somewhere on her body. This statement itself was worrying because as long as she had lived she never experienced what it felt like to hurt.

Eyes

There was something wrong with her eyes. She was trying to open her eyes only to realized that she was lying on a puddle of unknown liquids. Blood? Was it hers? Impossible. She tried to move her line of sight and gaze upward. She was lying under the moonlight. Why?

Her consciousness was starting to dwindle when she heard a commotion around her, quite far away.

"There's one survivor." Someone landed beside her body trying to pick her up.

"The suspect's younger brother?" Another voice was coming.

"Bring him to the hospital."

Then, she couldn't hear anything.

As soon as she regained her consciousness she felt a blinding ray of light on her face. Opening her eyes, she felt an unbelievable sensation. Softness of some material against her skin. Fabric. Her mind supplied. She turned her head and looked at the source of light. Sun. She never saw it in this perspective, so far away.

She turned her head and looked at the place where the sound came from. The movable panel opened - door - and revealed a woman in a white uniform holding some papers. The woman looked at it for a few moments before her sight locked onto hers. "Oh great, finally you woke up." She walked towards the patient then spoke.

"It's been a few weeks since you were admitted in the hospital. How do you feel? Do you feel uncomfortable or in pain?"

Silence was her answer. She looked at herself and found out she was wearing hospital garb. Her reduced limbs, they looked small and short. Human child. This vessel, she never descended into the human realm as long as she had been living.

She rubbed her forehead and frowned slightly.

The situation is unclear, stay calm.

She heard the woman kept talking on the periphery of her sight. Right, she didn't remember exactly what happened, only that she inexplicably arrived here, in this child's body. Ah! There's that system that keeps bugging her for quite some time.

[Do you understand what I explained?] The system asked.

"..." Understand what? You never explain anything to me.

[Did you forget what I explained some times ago?] Yeah, what did you say?

[Nevermind, I'll tell you later. You need to deal with the current situation first. Answer that woman or you'll look like a catatonic person. Just a hum is enough]

She looked at the woman again, the woman had been frowning for quite a while when she didn't receive a response. What should she do?

"Fine." She answered carelessly, she didn't even hear what the woman had been saying this entire time.

Hearing a response she let out a relieved sigh.

"Good. I'll report to the Hokage that you've woken up. Sasuke-san you need to stay here for awhile."

Yes, yes. You can go. The woman walked out and closed the door.

So who are you again? She needed an explanation and it better be good.

[Host, you've been selected to experience a human life full of an emotional roller coaster. You'll experience something that you never got as a god!] The system excitedly said, it spoke like this was a good thing for her.

No, I don't want it. Can I decline? Why do you have a dominion over me anyway? Who exactly are you and how did you put my consciousness in this body?

[No! Host, you can't. You need to finish this world to go back to your body.]

Finish this world...? By destroying this world you mean? Don't think I don't notice how you skip my questions.

[Host, I can't answer. I only follow my programming line and please cease your extreme thoughts… You only need to follow this world's storyline. It won't be long, only for a few decades for a maximum of human life! Host, can you put aside several decades of your uncountable years of life? Just take it as an entertainment okay?]

What it said was not wrong, several decades was a short fleeting time for a being like her. She didn't even remember how she came to be. The first thing she saw when she regained her consciousness was a mass of gas that shone so bright, humans called it a star.

It doesn't matter even if this only happens for a short time, I simply don't like being controlled and what happens with my body?

[Host, don't worry, your body is fine! You only need to follow the basics. You only need to complete this body's storyline and avoid some OOC behavior in front of this body's acquaintances. Okay? Host, this is easy for you. You only need to act in front of some people that personally know the host to avoid suspicion!]

I haven't even agreed yet. Say... what do you think will happen if I forcefully try to exit this body?

[... speechless]

[Host, don't do it. I'll get recycled…]

Hm, since you said it so pitifully I'll deign to receive your request.

[Thankyou Host… It thinks that it's the most pitiful system to meet this type of host.]

So, about this body.

[Finally you ask! I'll give you his basic information, you can examine it and try to act as him when it is required.] Its voice sounded again, childish, peaceful, and somewhat adrogynous. She couldn't determine its gender.

Her head was filled with this body's information. From his birth to the current event that caused this body's hospitalization. This body was called Uchiha Sasuke, an eight years old child. He was part of the Uchiha Clan, one of the founders of this body's village. Until a few weeks ago, he lived a normal life of an eight years old inside a ninja village when suddenly his brother murdered the entire clan except him. Yeah, one night and Uchiha Clan was no more.

She never understood humans, their emotions, and their brain's twists and turns. She never understood and she was never interested enough to try.

The door that was previously closed suddenly opened and an old looking man with a big hat came in. He wore a white robe with a red accent on it. He approached her and asked her some questions regarding this body like was he okay, how did he feel, did he remember what happened that night, and asked her about what she was going to do. She answered with a perfunctory statement, just enough not to arouse suspicion.

"I'll continue to stay in my house." That was her answer to this old man's last question. She refused to stay in the new allocated apartment - what was that?

The old man looked silently at her and finally gave her an affirmative response. He spoke about some other things related to him and finally left after saying that she could be discharged after three days of bedrest.

Three days later she was finally discharged and could return to this body's house. She walked towards Uchiha Clan compound by relying on this body's memory. The entire time she heard various gossips and rumours. The most frequent topic was about the Uchiha Clan massacre and what a tragedy that was. A genius clan heir killed his entire clan and only left his little brother as a sole survivor. She could practically feel dozens of eyes on her with some pitying statements thrown in.

When she reached the compound, there's no sound around. Only some animal and insect sounds. Very quiet. That was her initial opinion regarding this place. She liked this, away from the bustling sounds of other people and activities.

As she walked into the depth of the compound, the quieter it was. Following this body's memory, she finally arrived in front of his house. Without hesitation, she opened the gate and came in. She subconsciously took off her footwear and looked around the living room. Clean. No trace of blood to be found. The cleaner obviously already did their job. She walked to the backyard and found a koi pond, it had been weeks since they were last fed. She walked again into his house and found some koi's food. Sitting on the wooden floored veranda while swinging her newly obtained legs she fed them.

She sat there for awhile, the moment she realized that she was hungry, the sun had long been replaced by the moon. Right, she was in a body of a human and needed to eat to live.

[Host, you need to eat. It will be embarrassing if your vessel dies because of your forgetfulness.] The system suddenly spoke again, it had been three days long of silence without the other voice inside her head.

Then, what do humans need to eat? She honestly didn't know.

[Host, just buy it from the convenience store.]

I don't know what it was!

[Host, what did you do for the past three days? I thought you reviewed this body's memories. Host, I think you need to carefully examine his memories lest you get questioned because of your lack of common sense regarding general knowledge.] It sounded exasperated. It forgot that doing nothing for three days in human time was common for the host. It thought that it needed to constantly remind the host from now on.

Fine, I'll look at it carefully. Don't disturb me, I'll call you when I need something.

She already absorbed the knowledge but she couldn't honestly say that she wouldn't make mistakes in the future. Human daily life was alien for her. It wouldn't be easy to adapt, she would just act like she understood them in front of other people. Fake it till you make it, they say.

The last topic that was discussed by the system. Food. She now understood its significance.

She was about to going out of this body's house when she found some warped food directly out of her door. Someone placed it here, probably from this body's watcher. She took it, she knew they wouldn't kill her so there was nothing wrong with accepting this offering.

She ate, she showered, and she prepared to sleep when the system suddenly appeared again.

[Host, you only have three days to familiarise yourself with the academy's curriculum and the body's ability.]

Uhm, I got it. Don't disturb me.
