"Where are we going?" Nine heard Sasuke's voice the moment she turned left after she passed through Academy's gate. She knew that this road was not the way to go home. Nine wanted to checked out some books at the library but she didn't actually know its location. Nine thought that since she didn't see the building when she went to Academy in the morning, its location must had been on the other side of the village.

She then answered while leisurely walking, since the sun hadn't went down yet, the road was quite busy, 'I want to go to the library, where is it?'

'Library? What are you looking for?' He asked in a flat tone that other people probably wouldn't hear his thinly veiled inquirie if they didn't observe carefully.

'Books.' That was a straightforward question, she could anwer this right at the moment.

'No, I mean-... Nevermind then. You already passed through the intersection. Go back then turn left, you won't miss it. So, what type of book do you need?'

'Why do you ask so much question? You don't normally this talkactive.' She grumbled quietly inside her head.

'What do you know? You only know me for these past two days.' True, she didn't know much about him aside from the memory that was transferred to her a week ago.

Nine followed his instruction and turned back. She paid attention to several stores alongside the road when she remembered that she needed to buy some groceries. When she finally stepped into the library building she greeted the librarian then went to the public section first.

'This is public section, what exactly do you need? Maybe I can help you then we can go home soon after.' He seemed to be very curious, maybe it was the boredom. After all, he was stucked inside his own body and didn't have much autonomy.

'I need to a book to understand human behavior and general custom.' Nine finally relented after she swiped through the shelves several times without finding what she needed. Well, she found several books pertaining general custom from The Land of Fire but she didn't find any regarding human behavior.

'What's wrong with your behavior...?' He paused then said, 'Oh, I see.' What did he see.

'Well, do you know where I can find it? I have some important thing to do.'

'What do you need to do? I didn't see you doing anything special for these past two days.'

'Feed the fish.'

'...'

'So...'

'Maybe you'll get some luck if you search for it at the bookstore. This topic is not available at the Academy student section either.'

'Oh, then let's get going.' She didn't want to waste too much time here, definitely not her favorite place to be. She decided that she would read the book about custom the next time she visited the library, next weekend.

She left the library with a faint skip on her steps, 'Don't skips, I never walk the way you do.' She ignored him then entered the bookstrore that was located right in front of the library, very convenient.

Nine then once again looked through several book shelves, nill. She didn't find anything, 'I didn't say that you'll surely find what you need here.' Sasuke said after she had searched through the entire store.

'Then what use are you?'

'Why dont you just ask me? I am inside your head, you can reach me 24/7. Anyway, this topic is not widely discussed in the first place.' He countered, it's not like she didn't realize this but to depend onto others for this little thing didn't sit well with her. 'Why would you do that?' Nine asked.

'This is my body, if you make a fool out of yourself because of this small thing. The one that will be remembered by other people is me.' That was reasonable argument, so she said. 'Fair enough. Let's get out of this place, We need to buy some groceries. Since you volunteered yourself to help me, you can be my assistant.'

'I don't want to...' Sasuke grumbled quietly, Nine heard it clearly. 'What did you just say?' She then cheerfully asked him, he could clearly hear her smile from the tone she used. Sasuke didn't deign to answer her.

[Host, you want to buy something?] The system that was previously silent suddenly spoke. It saw that the host was walking towards one of the fruit stall and thought that the host wouldn't understand anything about this type of thing.

'Hm.' She answered while looking at the selection of fruits on the stall. Nine then heard Sasuke' and System's voice spoke simultaneously. It really was a challenge to not wince and maintained her expression.

'Just buy some apples and then we need to go to buy some general goods.'

[Host, why don't you buy some 'Life Skill Beginner Package' from me?] The system excitedly said. Nine ignored both of them then bought some apples. She didn't communicate with either of them but when she went to buy other groceries Sasuke still instructed her. Perhaps he was aware that she didn't want to talked too much when in the vicinity of other people.

Done with her tasks, Nine directly went back home following the road that she previously walked on when she wad finally discharged from hospital. Like usual, it was quiet, perhaps rather eerie. She could still feel the atmosphere of death lingering on the surrounding area. So many departed soul with unfinished business unwillingly left.

It was almost six in the evening, the orange sunlight bathed entire area warmly. Strangely she felt cold, nothing too unexpected that because of the recent massacre the entire clan compound was enveloped with a heavy yin energy.

Nine then heard a series of loud caw, she stopped walking then looked up to observe the entire area. Finally she found several crows perched atop the streetlight, they looked at her, she looked back. The moment their eyes met, they stopped their cawing. Found nothing amiss, she continued her journey home.

In front of the house she opened the gate then went straight to the backyard without forgetting to fetch the fish food. Nine then sat on the veranda, she scattered some fish food and watched them gobble it up. So lively. An hour passed by when she realized the darkened sky. There's no moon tonight, making the eerie atmosphere even more scary if you added the newly appeared fog into equation.

'It's already dark, you need to go inside.' Perhaps, Sasuke sensed the heavy atmosphere too even though he didn't exactly know what it was.

She stood up, then pat her hands together to get rid of fish food residue, 'Alright.' Nine entered the house then stared outside for a moment before closing the door. There are several people outside... watching.

'Annoying.'

'What?'

'Nothing. So, what should I make?' She skipped into the kitchen then poured out the groceries she that bought, 'Warning first though, I never cook.'

After an arduous task that was called cooking, Nine gave up. She can only cook rice and brew tea then finally after several failed attempts, she managed to prepare an omelette. Well, something that should have been an omelette at least. She brought her dish to the dining table then ate it, she honestly didn't know if her dish was good or bad so she only said, 'This is okay.'

'What do you mean okay? I think this is the worst dish I've ever ate. The only acceptable food you make was the rice... and tea' Oh, he sounded angry. Well, wait a minute, 'It seems like you can taste what I eat... Say, if I'm injured, will you feel it too?'

'Well, it seems so...' Nine then cleaned up the plates and took a shower. After that, she went to her bedroom upstair and opened up the window inside. The cold wind greet her, face scrunched up she took the blanket and wrapped it around herself.

'You know some knowledge about future.' She didn't ask, that was a statement.

'No, I suddenly woke up here. At first I thought this was merely a dream so I didn't say anything.'

'And now, you decided that this was a reality.' She said, then continued, 'If you don't have your memories, then what's the last thing you clearly remember?'

Sasuke didn't answer. Nine didn't mind it much then asked the system about the Life Skill Package it said earlier.

'System, what do you mean by lifeskill package?'

[Ah Host, you finally asked! You can buy lifeskill package with a point that you have!] It excitedly promoted, chattering nonstop then said. [Host with this, your cooking will be edible and not poisonous to other people!]

'What do you mean poisonous, this is slander. I don't want it, do I even have a points for you to try to sell this to me?' Points, what points. The system never mentioned this at all before.

[Don't worry Host, you're rich! So, will you buy it?] Rich? She didn't even know where she got these points. Anyway, she needed to ask something.

'No, just tell me. What else can I buy?'

[Uh, you just need to check the system store...] It answered, rather deflated.

'Well, open it up for me.'

The system then obliged to her order, Nine then saw one big panel in front of her filled with her information. Many of them were censored.

Name: -

Also known as: No.9 , [ ], Humanity's Greatest Sin, [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ].

Status: Immortal.

Origin: The Sinless World.

Residence: [ ]

Power: [ ]

History: [ ]

Points: 180,000,000 Ps

Nine examined the panel for a little while, not much information she could glean on. But this seemed to indicated something about the system's boss.

'Oh, your boss seems to know me very well.' She asked calmly.

[Of course it knows!] It proudly answered. 'Oh, is that so? Do continue.'

The system finally realized that Nine wanted to swindle some answer from it then belatedly shut itself up, 'So, you don't want to answer. Nevermind then, I'll find it myself. Just wait until I finish this world.' She paused, thinking for awhile then said. 'Hurry, open the store.' Nine didn't know where she get that much points from but she didn't care.

[Okay.] It then opened up other panel filled with different variety of sections, most of them were greyed and she was unable to select it.

'This is useless, most of them were greyed out.' Nine tonelessly said.

[No, the lifestyle section is available for you Host!] It then opened the only available section, she finally saw what the so called lifestyle section filled with.

[Host look! If you buy this Beginner Cooking Guide you'll instantly be able to properly cook for yourself! No need for failed attempts anymore!] She scrolled down the selection. It really filled with various lifestyle guide, you name it, cooking, cleaning, gardening, or even fashion.

'...' This was the first time she was speechless, what a bunch useless skill.

Noticing that Nine didn't respond, the system finally said. [Host, Host. Do you want to buy it??] So eager, she could practically tasted it in her mouth.

'No! Why the Ability section was greyed out?'

[Host, you're already powerful. What do you need a power up for? If you're too powerful and exceed this world limit, the world won't be able to contain you and you'll get ejected out of this plane like what happened to you the first time you were born.] It cautiously warned its Host lest she do something unexpected.

'Ah...' Nine said slowly, she gazed upon the night sky and thought. Her moment of birth huh...?

Not in the mood to talk, she closed the window and strided to her bed. Nine laid herself, pulled up the blanket, and closed her eyes.

Notes:

So about Sasuke personality, since here he doesn't remember what exactly happened with his brother and clan, he doesn't have any particular trauma. So I make him rather cheerfull like his younger self before the massacre if only a little bit taciturn sometimes.
