Jake was very relieved that he didn't find anything he felt he needed to erase. At most his comments came off a little cringey or edgy, but at least he didn't post any rants or spam anything. He didn't post much, but what he did were they were either pretty dumb questions or whining about something, so he deleted those.

His friend list was full of people who he had basically zero conversations with, and when they did talk it was well over a year ago, so he purged them. There were about six total people who he held actual conversations with.

WolvenSk8tr, his bio stated he was a boy, liked skateboarding, and went to Arcadia high. They had met in a Verses Thread, the opponents were two nearly unknown Capes so they're wasn't a lot of people commenting, but they had gone back and forth arguing on who they thought would win. After a few hours they left the thread and kept in contact, they even occasionally played FPS games together, he had sounded like a teenage boy and not a man in his thirties, so he could stay.

Ju5tinXD, their bio was left blank, and when they talked to Jake it was only ever about Cape gossip. They were always asking questions or spreading rumors to him. They were probably casting a wide net, fishing for information from strangers. 'I probably got caught up in an information network.' Who was behind it all he couldn't guess, they might be a hero, villain, rogue or just someone who wanted to be in the know. Whatever they were, it was fine to keep them as an online friend.

Forgrgrgra, this guy had accidentally messaged Jake while he was shot up on something. Jake had tried to tell him that he was talking to the wrong person but they didn't understand. The next day the guy had begged Jake to keep his mouth shut and not call the cops on him and other things, Jake decided to keep talking to the guy until they became friends. He wasn't such a bad person, just a junkie, but he had never tried to bring Jake into the fold of whatever he was doing, so he was fine,

Shygurl16, Jake felt like smacking himself upside his head as he read their conversation. This person had claimed to be a girl and was looking for a boyfriend, and he had foolishly believed that so he messaged her. They had been talking for a few months and were practically internet dating by now, and for a while they had been pestering him to share a photo of himself. He didn't because he was self conscious about his body and face, but he felt he had to after receiving a few photos of a girl in skimpy clothing.

"Just how dumb was I to fall for this shit?" Jake couldn't help but ask aloud. He knew that he had been craving love and attention, but this was obviously garbage. At least he hadn't done sent any pictures yet, that was a relief to him.

Jake didn't remove them from his contacts, if he ever needed a guinea pig he would know where to find one.

Kosmic_Voyager9, he almost rolled his eyes as he scanned through the messages. He almost thought they were another pedo, at least until his memories caught up. Kosmic was a real girl and he had met her in person.

When he was searching for a job, he ended up asking around on PHO because he was dumb and didn't know where else to ask. He was almost confused for a Cape, but after explaining his situation his thread went silent, but before it was removed from the board, he was messaged by Kosmic. The place she was working at was looking to hire, and after an impromptu interview and a few meetings, he was hired.

Luckily Jake was too nervous to send her anything remotely embarrassing, and only ever talked about work with her. Kosmic, truly named Stella, as a person was very cheerful, and Jake had brought that she was very beautiful. She was cute, her skin was clear and fair, her eyes were a soft blue and her hair was silky black. Lloyd's was her uncle's place but she still worked hard. Even though they went to the same school, although she was a year ahead of him, Jake hadn't mustered up the nerve to talk to her outside of work. She could stay for now, he still needed a job while he was building a business.

And well, Jake could agree that she was pretty cute, not that he was looking for a relationship. However if he ever needed a cover girlfriend, he wouldn't mind choosing her.

Moving on, the last person in his friend list made him question if this world was just a joke.

XxVoid_CowboyxX, also known as Greg Veder. Jake smacked his head against his desk the more he read. The longest conversation between them was about workshopping a comic about Scion's secret son.

"Connections were good." He told himself as he fought the urge to remove Greg from his friend list.

Aside from that, they also talked about the local Cape scene and their theories and ideas. Greg was also trying to introduce Jake to the niche world of Anime and Manga.

Jake left the conversation and went to the local board, hoping to find something to distract himself with.

There was a buzz regarding the sudden influx of powered thugs, people were confused on how they all shared the same power. Guesses and theories were tossed about, and it wasn't long until the PRT gave an official statement. They had captured and interrogated a thug, and he had told them everything.

'That sucks, I was hoping to fly under the radar for a while. At least it's free advertising.'
