Hello, it's been a while. I've been thinking about how I'll continue this story, and well most of my ideas were garbage.

So I've decided on a reboot. The basic premise will remain the same, but I have different ideas now.

You can skip this chapter, it's not important to the real story.

Old Summary: With the memories and body of King Arthur, our protagonist brings a Peerage of Servants with him to a world with Dragons and Devils. He's pretty confident that there lies no danger ahead of him, but most of that comes from vague memories of DxD fics, the story he finds himself in isn't as kind as he thinks it is.

Beginning (Part 1).

[Select Your Position! King! Queen! Rook! Knight! Bishop! Pawn!]

I don't remember how I got here, I don't even know where I am, or who I am. I was in a void with nothing around, except for those words. I could understand them, and something told me to just go with it. Those were chess words, but I didn't think that was all it was, information came to my mind. Gamer Fics. High School DxD. Oh, well now I'm no longer worried, let's hurry this up. I choose King.

[You have 50p. Select Your Body!]

A long list fell down, on there was a name that caught my eye, Artoria, then information about the Fate franchise was right in my mind. Well, now I knew what I was going to select.

[You've Selected 'King Arthur Pendragon' for 10p. Are You Sure?]

Yes, I am. Next came selecting the rest of my Peerage, it took me some of my time before I was satisfied with it, but I really just wanted to get it over with. I just blitzed through the rest of the selections, not really dwelling on anything. After I finished selecting everything, the words disappeared, and the void I was in exploded into colors and sensations. The life and death of King Arthur played through my mind. I lived and died as King Arthur.

Then I woke up in my selected starting location, the abandoned church, that was previously the base of a few rogue Fallen Angels and Exorcists. I looked around, at the chunks of wood and stone, at the holes in the wall that let in the midday sun, and at the spots that were visibly cleaned of blood. Then I looked down, and saw my body, I had the body of Arthur. I was Arthur. I was dressed in black shoes, black pants, a white button up shirt, a big blue cape, and to top it all off, a golden crown that sat on my head.

On my waist, Excalibur rested inside Avalon, and on the ground by my feet, lied a spear, a book, a pair of glasses, and fifteen glowing chess pieces. My Peerage. I took a moment to examine my body again, my living, breathing body. My body that had the Magic Core of a Dragon. After the moment passed, I gathered the chess pieces into my pockets, and carried the spear, book and glasses down to the basement, where I carved a summoning circle into the stone ground with a glowing Excalibur. Then I stabbed my shining sword into the ground to illuminate the room.

I left my things on a chair and took out my chess pieces, I lined them up, but kept out one pawn piece. "I should get you out of the way first." I whispered to the Pawn, as I placed it in the middle of the summoning circle. The circle was filled with my intent and Mana, it shined brightly and kicked up air. And when the air died down, I saw what I summoned. A wand made out of bone, flesh, and Magic Circuits. This was one of my Pawns, Shirou Emiya, Bad End #20. I really appreciated this one, because now I could equip my Peerage and still be able to get my sword and scabbard, but I didn't want to summon it in front of anybody.

I picked up the Unlimited Blades Wand and moved it over to the rest of my things, I grabbed the rest of my Pawns, and took the pieces to the circle. I decided to start with the more troublesome ones. The process of shining light and swirling air repeated itself again, but when it stopped, there were two girls instead of a wand standing in the center. Both of them looked confused, most likely because there was no Grail provided information about their summoning.

"Hello, I am the one that summoned you two." I brought their attention to me, they sized me up, before noticing that they weren't alone, then they both jumped away from each other.

I tuned them out as they went through the hostile motions of being summoned, questions, threats, getting prepared to fight. Before one of them noticed they were missing their knives.

A few minutes later, after no one died, they finally decided to listen to me explain the situation.

"Great, okay, so I am King Arthur Pendragon, I was chosen to slay a Beast that threatens this world, and I was given the choice of summoning other Servants to assist me in this quest. The thing about this Beast is that I don't know where or what it is, so I selected Servants that could help in more than direct combat. And this world doesn't have a Grail System, so I had to use the closest thing in this world, long story short, I'm a King, and you two are Pawns,"

"I suppose I could lend you aid, for as long as it suits me." The No Name Assassin said.

"Well, I guess I don't mind helping, but only if you promise to help me find my Mommy." Jack the Ripper said. "And give me back my knives!"

"Excellent, and just one moment." I picked up the UBW and tossed it to Jack. "Just picture your knives in your mind and pass your Mana through the wand." I instructed her as she caught it with one hand.

Her scarred face scrunched up and she held to wand up to her forehead, then six knives fell out the air, she dropped the wand and caught her knives. She made happy noises. The No Name Assassin picked up the wand and shot me a look, if she was someone else, I would be expecting her to ask about the materials of the wand, but as she was, I just nodded at her. And she closed her eyes. A few dirks appeared midair, then disappeared into her robes.

"Okay, you two can go upstairs and watch the perimeter, I have to summon the rest of my help."

As they left, I heard Jack try to start a conversation, but I had more important things to focus on. Two more Pawns were placed inside, and two men stood in the places of the pieces when it died down.

"Greetings, Asclepius and Paracelsus von Hohenheim!" I gave them the same bullshit quest story I gave the Assassins, they were way easier to handle, especially after I told them I wouldn't get in their way of creating whatever they wanted. I told them about the other Pawns, and handed them the UBW. I had a little issue getting it back, I had to promise a look at it later. Asclepius left to find a cleaner place to set up shop, and Paracelsus stayed to watch me summon the rest.

I placed the rest of my Pawns in the circle, and lights, air, Servants!

"Where am I?" Jeanne D'arc asked while looking around, then at her hands, then at me.

"I ask you, are you my Master?" Diarmuid Ua Duibhne asked as he knelt.

"My King!" A female Galahad exclaimed when she saw me. I don't know why it wouldn't just let me select Mashu, but I didn't want Male Galahad, so this is good enough. And she was female in Arthur's memories.

I raised my hands as I gestured to them to relax, and gave them my cover story. They were all very happy, because they had more to do for God, a King to follow, and were reunited with an old friend. I passed around the wand, they ignored how it looked, Jeanne just made her flag, Diarmuid made two sword and two spears, and Galahad made a sword, but I made the roundtable shield for her. I excused them to leave, but they refused.

"Jeanne, could you go tidy up the church upstairs, please?"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" And she ran up the stairs.

At least I got rid of one of them, I placed both of my Bishops into the circle, and the process repeated itself. In the circle stood a woman and a girl, both with purple hair and pointed ears. I greeted Medea and Medea Lily, I explained, the older one reluctantly agreed to help while Lily cheerfully agreed. I handed them the wand, Medea recognized her work but didn't bring it up and Lily didn't even take a second glance at it. I told them to help create a territory around the church

Now my Knights, Asterios and Cú Chulainn, both of them didn't need much convincing, and after Cú made his spear, and a back up, he convinced Diarmuid to fight him outside. "Stay away from the city." I called after them.

I forwent choosing a Queen, so the only pieces I have left are my Rooks, Medusa and Heracles. I jumped forward as the light dimmed and shoved the pair of glasses onto Medusa. "Mystic Eye Killers." I explained, then I told both of them what I told the rest. Neither one of them spoke a lot, only single word questions and small nods as answers. They each took a turn making their weapons, and then sat down, I got the feeling they were waiting for me to give them orders.

Well, now that I was done summoning, it was time for a question. "Who wants to be a Devil?" I mentally asked everyone. "I could reverse the process at any time, and being a Devil gives you wings and a few other benefits."

Out of all my Servants, only Jeanne was against the idea of trying it out. I loosened the quality of my Mana output to everyone but Jeanne, and I felt the influence of the Evil Pieces grow in them. While they were testing it, I mentally informed everyone about how I was acting as a Master, how I had to use something from this world to anchor their existences here, and what I used Reincarnated them as Devils, but because of their connection to me and Avalon, I could resist the negative aspects of the anchor. As I finished explaining, I noticed Paracelsus reading from my book. "Put it down as soon as your mind aches, I still need you to be sane." I told him.

His eyes darted up to me, then they relaxed, he slammed the book made from human skin shut and let out a soft sigh. "What an interesting read." He said with a small smile.

"I would appreciate it if you could help repair this church, create lodging and any other facilities we need." I told him as he put the book down and stood up.

"I'll see what I could do." He responded as he glanced at the shadows.

"If you could, please make four rooms that connect back here so the other Casters can have their own workshops, preferably before they make a hut in the forest." I urged him.

"I'll get right to it." He said as he summoned floating flames that banished every shadow in the room.

"Thank you." I said, as I gathered my things: spear, wand, book and sword. Then I turned to the other four still down here: Galahad, Asterios, Medusa, and Heracles, as they poked at their Devil wings. "Galahad." I started, and she snapped to attention. "Make sure they feel comfortable here." I finished with a smile.

I tuned out whatever she responded with and walked up the stairs, in the Nave I saw Jeanne screaming and praying as she was being chased by Jack and Lily as they flew around her, laughing. Normally, prayer would hurt Devils, but I hadn't let the Evil Piece get that far in. "Sorry, Jeanne, but prayer won't work on my Devils." I told her, and witnessed her stop, pick up her flag, and jab the air to keep them at bay.

I felt a Pawn piece lurking in the shadows, the No Name Assassin was watching them. I could feel the rest of my pieces outside, Cú and Diarmuid we're flying and fighting, I wasn't worried about either of them dying, I would feel it and simply supply them with some healing from Avalon. They had my Mana flowing through them.

I could feel Asclepius and Medea, they were close to each other, talking. "Go to the basement and inform Paracelsus about how you would prefer your workshop."

I stepped down from the Altar area and walked up another set of stairs, into a small room that had no furnishing. I closed the frail wooden door that barely hung onto the rusty hinges. I dropped my spear, and took a moment to admire it, this was the Holy Spear Longinus. The moment passed and I dropped off Excalibur next to the Spear, and I took off my cape and crown and sat them down. Then I allowed Avalon to be absorbed by my body as a concept, it was warm. I stayed like that for a few minutes, before I came to my senses.

I used my wand to create a cross necklace, two rings, and a small dagger, all of them Mystic Codes. The necklace was able to resist curses, completely unnecessary, but flashy. The rings were able to transform into brass knuckles, again, unnecessary, but cool. And the dagger was imbued with Holy Magic, not entirely unnecessary, a good scare tactic.

Then I used the wand to make a Mystic Code in the form of a black jacket that was enchanted to handle extreme temperatures, unnecessary, but it looked pretty good. I tucked the dagger into my waist and got into the jacket, it was really comfortable, and dropped the wand next to my cape. I could feel my Mana flowing through everything I put down, so I wasn't worried about them getting lost or stolen.

I practiced Reinforcement and Mana Burst until it felt like breathing, which with a lifetime of memories, wasn't the least bit difficult. Then I ventured downstairs, I saw Jeanne again, and now she was reciting holy morals, while holding a tattered copy of the Bible upside down, to Jack and Lily, and I could feel that the Assassin was noticeably closer to them.

Asclepius and Medea had made their way down and were in areas that were previously solid earth, so Paracelsus had made headway in making the workshops. "I'll be out, everyone, I'm going to do some reconnaissance." I got a few farewells, a god be with you, and the rest didn't bother to respond. "Come with me, Assassin." I told her and walked out the church, in the distant night sky, I could see both the Lancers fighting, and I could feel Assassin stick to the shadows as she followed me into Kuoh Town.

Beginning (Part 2.)

Before we exited the forest surrounding the church, I warned Assassin to avoid Familiars, then I explained what they were to her. My reconnaissance mission was just an excuse, well, not entirely. I was going to explore the town, but it wasn't for any strategic reason, I just wanted some time to myself and to have some fun.

I got more than a few looks as I entered the town square, but I didn't pay them any attention. I just focused on a succubus cosplayer handing out flyers, I knew that she was actually the Familiar of Rias Gremory, and I didn't do anything with that information. I watched the people get charmed by her looks and mindlessly take a flyer. I waited until someone who took a flyer, threw it away after leaving the Familiar, when it finally happened, I picked it up and went into a back alley.

In the back alley, sound from the town was muffled and light barely reached the ground. I held up the flyer, and pumped it full of Mana, the red symbol on it glowed brightly, bathing the alley in it's light. I want money, at least a hundred thousand Yen. I thought my wish. It was the only thought that passed through my mind.

The glowing red symbol on the flyer appeared on the ground a few feet bigger. Crimson lightning crackled and crawled along the lines of the ground symbol as the light intensified, a few white particles started to gather in the center. And a black haired Devil started to float out of the symbol. As her whole body exited, she stood with a demure expression and holding a briefcase.

I knew that Rias was sleeping at the Hyoudou house right now, snuggled up to Issei Hyoudou, so that left Akeno Himejima as the most competent member of her Peerage available. I could tell that she was ready for a fight, but was willing to act courteous for as long she needed to.

Before she could say anything, I spoke up. "How about the truth about the reason I'm here, would that suffice?" I asked her. Part of making a Deal with the Devil was compensation, the Devil would help the Human and get something in return. I didn't have any materials goods worth a lot of money, so either my truth was cheap or unimportant. Either way, no harm could be done by learning it.

"Very well." Was the response I got from Akeno.

"Let's see, I'm not here to kill or harm any devils, nor their possessions, no one sent me to this town, and I didn't have any of the local currency, so I summoned a Devil." My claims were wholeheartedly true, I honestly didn't care about devils, as long as they remain uninvolved in my business they could do whatever. That was mostly because my current business was just setting up a base, I didn't have anything planned beyond that.

The crimson light around us surged then dimmed, the contract was almost formed. Akeno didn't look completely satisfied, but still held out the briefcase for me to grab, I smiled as I took it from her, as soon as it left her hands, she disappeared and the alley went dark. I didn't move from my position, but I had to do something.

"Don't confront me out here. The Devils are watching me." I told Assassin. The entire time I spent talking to Akeno, my Assassin had been raging. Her righteous fury stemmed from the simple fact that there was a Devil in front of her very eyes, and she didn't kill it. Although I knew about her radical devotion, I also knew that while under my command, she would only kill those I told her to, but right now she was beginning to have a change of heart. "Please calm down, I understand how you feel, but we have a target. We must focus, if we eliminated that Devil, it would only provide us with enemies, when right now he need information."

I could feel Assassin settle down, and then I heard in my mind. "My apologies. I'm still immature." I could almost taste the disappointment in her words. I had used her one of her flaws against her, that was her inability to critically process excuses made by those in charge. She would only think about how she failed to realize that, and strive to make herself better. Which in her past life, made her the most versatile Assassin and yet she never held the title of Hassan-i Sabbah, because her growth and piety had frightened her elders.

I opened my new briefcase, inside were rows of stacks of cash. I pulled out a few bills and pocketed them before making my away out the alley, my first stop was a small shop that had wallets for sell. Afterwards I went to the shops and market surrounding town square, I made sure to buy clothes that would fit my human looking Servants. When I summoned them, they were only dressed in their most mundane outfit, and without weapons or armor, those were reasonably priced. However, I had spent most of my points on my weapons, so they started with nothing aside from their skills, and enough clothes to remain decent.

After clothes shopping, I took a break at the Game Center, and left with bags filled to the brim with plush animals. Then I bought a few cardboard boxes and visited a book store, I purchased books about the history, mythology, the modern world, and school textbooks. My last stops before heading home were fast food places, I filled up two more cardboard boxes. I got many stares as I left the town square, arms filled with bags and carrying a cardboard pillar that towered over my head.

As I got near the forest entrance that contained the path to the church, I could feel the air buzz with magecraft. A few strong Bounded Fields had been erected around the entire forest, neither Assassin or me had any issue crossing it. After climbing the path, I saw the changes that had been made in my absence. Illuminated by magical fire held in small cages, the new white walls of the church glowed, the broken old windows had been replaced with beautiful mosaics, and a few more rooms had sprouted up.

As I walked up to the front door, I thought about where I was going to go from here. They had made more progress that I anticipated, and soon they would want to make progress in the quest. If my memories were correct, then a staple of DxD crossover fanfiction is the main character being transferred into Kuoh Academy no matter how illogical it seemed. If I were to follow along with the formula, then I should think about which Servants I'll be able to transfer in with me.

Heracles and Asterios are an immediate disqualification, they couldn't even be allowed in public in their current forms. Medea, Diarmuid and Jack, were also disqualified, their current appearances would draw too much attention, Medea and Jack might be able to blend in with illusions, but Diarmund and his Love Spot couldn't make it. Medusa, Cú Chulainn, Paracelsus, and Asclepius, could pass as normal people, but their behaviors would set them apart, they were a little too mature and wild to be students. All that was left was Jeanne, Medea Lily, Galahad and Assassin, they could easily pass as students, if only Jeanne could read, if Lily wasn't a love sick psycho, or if Galahad could not treat me as her King, and if Assassin had a name, wore human clothes, or acted remotely human.

Now if we were talking illogical, then I'll have the Devils enroll Jeanne, Medea Lily, Galahad, Assassin, and Jack. That group failing to fit in, sounds like a fairly amusing experience, there'll need to be a several safety measure in place for Jack though.

I opened the door, and announced to all my Servants. "I've returned with information and gifts, everyone please gather in the main room." Entering from various doors, they all arrived a few moments after I made my request, three of my four Casters taking the longest. Heracles and Asterios used a door big enough for a truck.

I dropped the bags and boxes on the stone floor, then I walked up to a where the Altar and secret entrance used to be, but was now flat tile. "I mentioned before about why I chose you all, and a little bit about your anchor, and now I'll give you a better explanation. I am King Arthur, and I was warned by a voice that a Beast would destroy this world in the future, I wasn't told any further information. After accepting this mission I was given the chance to select my equipment and allies, I chose the thirteen of you." I paused and met the eyes of my Peerage.

"As you no doubt noticed," I resumed, "when you were summoned it was without equipment, my solution was the fourteenth Servant I summoned. In life he was a poor Magus with the heart of a hero, who ultimately met a cruel fate. He possessed the unique ability to recreate any weapon or armor he had witnessed in any form, these are of a slightly lesser quality than their original, but now they can be replaced should anything happen."

"As for how I summoned you all, in this world exist Devils, and they found a way to transform members of other races into Devils. They use something they call Evil Pieces, it came in a set of sixteen pieces, designed to resemble chess pieces. One King." I gestured towards my body. "And Queen." I produced the Piece from my pocket and held it up. "Two Rooks." I looked at Medusa and Heracles. "Knights." Then I looked at Asterios and Cú Chulainn. "And eight Pawns." I looked at Galahad, Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, Jeanne D'arc, Asclepius, No Name Assassin, Paracelsus von Hohenheim, and Jack the Ripper, I was glad none of them were particularly prideful. "By using the King Piece, I am linked to all the other Pieces and can regulate the influence it has on your Souls by flooding it with some of Avalon's essence."

I gestured to the bags and boxes I left in the floor. "I took the liberty of verifying the existence of Devils, and gained some of the local currency, with that I bought various things I thought would be of use to us. I don't know when we'll encounter the Beast, but until then, we'll need to remain in this world. That is all."

I tossed the Queen Piece to Medea Lily. "Make sure everyone shares." I told her as she smiled, soon she was surrounded by the other Casters. I waved for Jeanne to come over, she told Jack something before leaving her with Medusa.

"Yes, your Majesty?" Jeanne asked me, she was still dressed like she was about to be burned at the stake, so I made sure to buy her some clothes.

"In those bags are outfits for the people that wear normal clothes, hand them out, then get dressed and come to my room. Oh, and address me as Arthur in public settings." Then I waved Diarmuid over to me.

"Yes, my Lord." He asked me.

"Those boxes are filled with food, make sure everybody eats something. We'll sort everything out later, but for now that's what I bought."

I ascended the repaired stairs and opened the door to my room, it was definitely better off than when I left. I took a seat and spent a few minutes trying to decipher the words in my book without losing my mind. Right as I started to hear whispers, someone knocked on my door. "Enter." I responded and closed the book.

Jeanne walked in dressed in her new outfit. "Hello."

I stood up and walked over to my spear, I went into another big speech, this time about how Christ was killed and how this was the spear that stabbed him. I finished the speech off by telling Jeanne that I wanted her to use it. I used my UBW to project a copy of it and told her to spar with the Lancers until she was comfortable.

After she left with a conflicted expression, I sat down against a wall. I had a few things to think about, I am King Arthur Pendragon and some random person with no memories. In the world that I'm in now, there exists a person named Arthur Pendragon, who is the descendent of this world's King Arthur. I don't really see the point of hiding my identity, especially since I already told my Peerage who I was.

In this world, Excalibur was forged by alchemists who reached the realm of the gods, and was broken in battle, the shards were then reforged into seven separate swords. It wasn't like the Excalibur in my room, this one was created by Fairies using the crystallization of mankind's wishes, it was supposed to be returned to the Lake after Artoria accepted her death, but now it's here. I suppose I could always hide its identity under Invisible Air, or I could project Caliburn until I need to reveal my trump card.

Caliburn, the Sword in the Stone, and often confused with Excalibur. The one I can imagine is just a strong sword, but in this world it is one of the strongest Holy Sword, currently wielded by the Arthur Pendragon of this world.

Well, nothing really changed after thinking about it, but now I know my plan, I'll leave thinking about an imaginary Beast for another day. I'll sleep now.

Beginning (Part 3).

As I slept, I dreamt I was on a quest for the Holy Grail, was slowly becoming a monster, was born a monster, I killed monsters, performed a resurrection, shared my knowledge, was betrayed, forced to fall in love, killed my child, disgraced my lord, was condemned by law, not good enough, searching for warmth. I killed my sisters, my wife, my children, my brother, and those I wanted to be my mommy.

I was King Arthur, killed by my kingdom, killed by my son.

And yet I wasn't, I was nobody. A Nameless Nobody, I had no memories I could call my own, only information. I could have been anyone, I had no gender, race, nationality, or age, but I chose King Arthur. That was my identity, and I didn't have his mind or heart.

I felt something burn, and I suddenly became unbearably hot. A burning city, I was surrounded by cursed fire, rubble, corpses, and people begging for help. I was in the memories of my fourteenth Servant, Shirou Emiya. He was a young boy whose mind was burned away, and he survived thanks to Avalon, turning him into a sword, yet he wanted to be a hero. The flames around me changed colors and washed over me, then I was in a twisted barren wasteland, stitched together by magical threads. A field of weapons continued on endlessly.

Golden flames surrounded me, then expanded and as they moved across the Reality Marble, life sprouted. I could feel something resonate inside me, Avalon. I realized something I had overlooked, Shirou Emiya had an Avalon implanted in his soul, and I was proving him my Mana, slowly he was being healed, but for all the things it did, it couldn't repair the mind. Two Avalons existed, but they costed different, was something else I realized. In a blink of an eye, everything around me disappeared. I didn't exist, except for my perception, but there was nothing to perceive.

The glitched text didn't wait for my response before it dropped the wall of Selectable Servants and Equipment in front of me. I looked through it and all versions of Shirou Emiya were gone. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this, the information I received on DxD fics show a trend of giving overpowered characters more overpowered equipment. I probably had enough points to buy all the Servants, but I only had fifteen slots available. I'll Select later. I told whatever entity or system was in charge of my Selection.

Then I lived and died again, female Merlin acted a little more odd throughout most of it.

I was alive, and I woke up in my room, still slumped against the wall. I could feel my Evil Pieces, so I knew they were still here, and I could still feel Avalon inside me. I could also feel a Brave Saint Card, something which I was mentally informed about, so I knew it wasn't supposed to exist yet. Looking down at my feet, I saw twelve more Brave Saint Cards, and another set of Evil Pieces, King included, and my Pawn. While yes, I did think it was excessive, I thought that the fact that I could feel Unlimited Blade Works exists in my soul and a shop in my mind was what was truly excessive.

"Good news everyone, I just had a dream and the voice that gave me this mission just gave me a angelic anchor. I assume it would help boost any Divinity with any of your blood. I'll be swapping out your anchor if it'll help our mission, but I don't see the point of doing it if it doesn't change anything about your circumstance."

I dumped the other set of Evil Pieces, my spare Pawn, and my Equipment into UBW, and made my way downstairs. Halfway down and I met an eager Jeanne, I held up an Eight of… Rings, odd choice but whatever, and shoved it into her chest. As my hand sunk in her soul, I grabbed the Pawn piece and pulled it out. "Hope that helps." I told her as I stepped past her, leaving her to bask in the holy warmth.

I walked around switching out Pieces for Cards. Jack of Rings went to Medea, Ten of Rings went to Asclepius, Nine went to Heracles, Seven went to Asterios, Six to Cú Chulainn, Five to Medea Lily, and Ace of Rings went to Galahad. I threw my spare Pieces and Cards into UBW, it only costed Mana to open it. Now I had eight Angels and five Devils. I then upgraded Diarmuid to a Knight Piece and Jack to a Rook Piece.

I informed my Caster team that my Wand was taken back in the process of getting the new anchors, but I now had the spell and I lived through their memories in my dream, I then handed them a Rook, Knight, Bishop and Pawn from my original set, along with my Two of Rings.

I was disappointed, I had selected a Knight Medusa to see her speed, a Rook Heracles to see his strength, but I suppose them being closer to godhood was good enough. It should definitely help Asclepius with his work. And knowing I could summon a total of thirty more Servants helped erase most of my disappointment.

I spent the rest of the day walking around the refurbished church, talking with my Servants, and scrolling through the list of possible summons. I narrowed it down to a handful, and decided to wait until after we settled in to Select them. To pass the time I practiced flying and read from my book.

After nightfall, and rain started to pour, Medea Lily let me know that two people in white robes were approaching the forest, I thanked her and got ready to start the plot. I Selected some of Alter Saber's armor and wore it over my royal blue outfit, and I told Jack to come with me to meet our guests.

Before the people in white robes could reach the forest, a thick mist spilled out the trees and swallowed them whole. I watched them jump back before it reached them, but they were too slow to escape. I had told Jack not to make it too poisonous, how well she listened to me I didn't know. Outside of the fog. "Go ahead, but don't kill them immediately." I told Jack. She smiled as her green eyes glowed red and she flew into the fog.

Without a line of sight, I had to feel the Rook Piece inside Jack to understand the flow of combat. She darted around at incredible speed, and used her wings to fly over a certain area. After a few moments of combat, I was pretty sure I knew where the Exorcists were in the fog because Jack would constantly cross over two shifting areas. When Jack stood still in the mist, next to those areas, I told her to drop the fog.

As the fog dissipated, I saw Jack standing over the collapsed and bloody bodies of the two Exorcists. "Thanks Jack, return home, I'll handle it from here." I told her while providing her with some of Avalon's essence, to heal the cuts and slices across her body.

She smiled brightly and jumped into the air. "Okay, Mommy!" And she took off.

It was unfortunate that she saw me as a Mommy, but it wasn't really a concern of mine. I took a moment to inspect the Excalibur Fragments wielded by the Exorcists. It was an odd feeling, recalling the history and experiences of the fragments that they accumulated over time, I saw an incomplete picture of Excalibur. And the full picture of the fragments, their creation, uses, and wielders. Excalibur Destruction, Xenovia Quarta, Excalibur Mimic and Irina Shidou. I Projected a copy of the two swords and swapped them out, I dropped the originals into my Inner World.

Then I projected two of the staffs carried by Medea Lily and used Pain Breaker on them. Magical energy gathered and surrounded the two Exorcists. In the blink of an eye, their bodies returned to full health, completely unscathed.

They were slow to wake up, even though their bodies were healed, the mental exhaustion was still there. Xenovia was the first to notice me, and she jumped on to her feet and away as she held up her fragments of Excalibur. Irina noticed Xenovia's reaction and swung her fragment as a whip in my direction from her position on the ground.

I caught the bladed whip with a black gauntlet, and stared at both of the drenched Exorcists. The sound of falling rain and howling wind filled the silence between us. I let go of the whip and spoke. "Greetings, I am Arthur Pendragon, and I came down here to greet you two." I tried to be polite and warm. "What is your purpose here?"

Irina took a moment to shorten her whip back into a sword and she stood by Xenovia, who decided to answer me. "We are here to retrieve the stolen Fragments of Excalibur. If you are who you say, then you should know that they are property of the church." Her tone was hard, and she still held up her sword.

"Well, I was asking about here, in front of this forest, but thanks for informing me about your mission." I said while gesturing to the surrounding area.

Irina spoke up next. "We were looking for a place to stay, the church is supposed to be abandoned."

"Sorry, it's occupied at the moment. Just a moment though." I made a show of digging through my pockets and I pulled out a bundle of Yen, I tossed it to them. They jumped back and it splashed harmlessly against the ground. "That should cover a few nights at a hotel. Stay safe." I waved them off.

I continued to wave as they shuffled away, Irina using her sword to grab the cash. When they were out of my reinforced range of vision, I flew over the town, and saw a white and black blur race across rooftops. I closed in on the speeding figure, and took a moment analyzing the fragment of Excalibur in their hands. I projected a copy of it and of a pair of chain daggers, I threw the nail-like dagger through the gap in the sword's blade and pulled.

Excalibur Rapidly was torn free of Freed Sellzen's hands, and he went tumbling over a building. He fell down five stories and collided with solid concrete, he bitched as he stood up and turned upwards to look at me. I lowered myself to just a few feet above him, holding his stolen sword in my hands. "You know people are looking for these?" I stared down at him.

He sneered at my Devil wings. "Two shitty Devils in one night, must be a sign. A sign that there are too much Devils alive! Why don't you do me a favor and let me kill you!" He shouted up at me as he pulled out a gun and shot holy bullets at me. I let one impact my arm and I dropped the Projected copy of his sword.

He ran forward and leapt off of a wall to grab as it fell, as soon as he landed, he raced towards me. I flew higher up and then I returned home. Satisfied with my work.

The next arc will be treated differently, but this is just overpowered characters finding a place in this setting. That said, any ideas for which Servants could make good Devils or Angels, or what Mystic Code / Noble Phantasm should be bought. I appreciate any advice. I have a few ideas, but I want to know if I'm missing any obvious ones.

Chapter 4 would be from the perspective of the Devils. Akeno would explain to Rias the strange person who summoned her, the Exorcists would explain their mission and mention the person who calls himself Arthur Pendragon. They would say he's at the church, and they believe he has Excalibur Nightmare. They believe the fog was an illusion because they were unharmed when they woke up. Devils will explain the whole Fallen Angel and Asia ordeal that went down there.

Fun Facts For the Future. Fate King Arthur is born from the Essence of Albion, who is both the Red and White Dragon. There is a limit on Evil Pieces produced by Devils. The church had produced an Excalibur Replica.
