Part 3 - Live with Megyn Kelly
Few weeks later, Bella was invited to Megyn Kelly's show, to be interviewed and also to be able to tell her story again on camera for first time. Matthew and his entire family except for children of his siblings of course, was also there to help and support her through this all and she was forever grateful for that.
Meanwhile most people bought the book including people of Forks town, and most were shocked and horrified of what they read in the book they bought and recognise who Isabella Spears truly was, and to hear she was going to be on Megyn Kelly, they all sat before the tv, with their own parents around it, and wanted to know what was going on, as they had hard time to comphrend what the book was about and wanted to hear from herself on TV.
So the day came, and behind the scene, Megyn walked over and talked few words with Bella and her family that was going to sit in the audience infront of herself, and Matthew would be invited to come forward too and tell his own story of when she told him her story of pain.
Bella was grateful for this chance to happen, and that she finally could tell her story on tv and get others to see her pain and hear her pain to become something that drives her forward to this day still and will always do so too. And also the audience and the viewers would get a surprise too, as she and Matt just recently found out to be pregnant with their first child, and she was really happy for this happening to her, she wanted to be a mother despite her own past pain.
So after that, Megyn went out and did her introduction, then she said
"And after some small break, I will then introduce you to the author that I invited in, for her story needs to be told and heard, as she has been silenced far too long, and it is time for us all to hear her story too, so no other women or men will go through what she was through, so after the break, this is who you will meeting."
And a segment of Isabella and her book was being heard, and that her story of pain, is a very true story and she is here to tell it and let people know how she was treated by everyone around her and who did not even meet her until what had happened to her in her teenage years and had their pre-existed opinion and how those hurt her.
So after five minutes break, Megyn then said
"So today we are going to meet Isabella Spears, the author of the book that lays in your laps today, after being published after the readers and critics were absolutely horrified and felt her pain through the book, while the critics were about the falseness of what she said about what a reporter called her in the papers. So welcome out, Isabella and her amazingly supportive husband, Matthew on the stage."
And hands clapping, the two walked out after the glasswall was removed before them, and held hands while walking up to Megyn, and after brief greeting of some hugs and kisses on cheeks, the two sat down on their seats.
"First welcome to your first tv-interview, and next to you sit one of your biggest supporter in this release of your very touching and very open book of what happened to you as teenager. But before I ask you some questions of the book itself, I also want to welcome your family who is also here to support you, or most of them at least, so this is who?"
Matthew took over and said, while holding Bella's hand in his;
"This is my mother, father; Mary and Patrick Sr, and next to them sits few of my siblings; Michael, Eddie, Lesley and Patrick Jr. You may recognise Michael and Eddie, for the two are very well-known actors across the world. The others of my siblings had other obligations so they couldnt despite wanting to be here too, but they are very supportive of my wife here and her story, you are right that needs to be told and heard for first time. For it is her story to tell after all."
Bella just smiled, squeezing his hand, while his family members were filmed one by one, and also wore a smile on their faces. Megyn then said
"I am so happy that you have them in your life, Isabella or as I know you like to be called Bella, as Isabella sounds so formal in a way at least in your ears. So Bella, how did this book come about in first place?"
Bella took a deep breath, then while Matthew held her hand, she said
"It began when I actually told my story to Matt, at the time we were just dating, and I felt it was time to tell him why he is not able to meet my parents or any friends on that matter. I will let Matt tell you what he felt while I told him my story. But right there and then, while speaking of it, the idea of writing a type of a self-biograph began to take plan in my head. And after I had tol Matt my story, he was more than ever on my side, and he helped me to get the book started by buying me a computer and few other materials, so I could begin, and also with help of my therapist at the time, also helped out with some details that I subcouniessly had began to forget for it took too much out of my energy and time to live my life as I wanted to have from the beginning of my journey."
Megyn smiled, as she then turned to Matt, said
"And you how did you react on what she told you, Matthew?"
Matthew took a breath, then he said
"I like many should have from the beginning, reacted with anger, disgust and most of all sorrow, but also so proud for my wife's bravery to tell me, on a date of everything, I was just so awed by her strength to tell me. I felt disgust not for what she been through, for it was never her fault in any shape or form, but how people that she thought would be on her side and not cause the harm to happen in first place, reacted and was like towards her. Even the police man who took her report when she went to the station was of disgust of her story, but he also did not do anything at first to help. And as you will read, Bella in the end, went to FBI as last resort to get the help for none was going to help her if she didnt do so. And luckily, the agents that met up with her after a plea of help and to listen, she got the help finally. (after a break and to drink some of the water.) I felt anger for none in the law enforcement was going to listen on her, especially her former father's own police force did not listen on her story when she came to them for help and report the crime of Edward Cullen. I felt sorrow for she went through it all on her own, no support of her parents or anyone else. Her parents I should say is now also in jail for it came out during the trial against Edward Cullen, that he got help from them and his own parents, to make this heinous crime against my beautiful, strong wife. She was all alone after that with herd of harrassing reporters who called her in the media a famewhore who cried rape. What she went through was the real truth and story. And I am so happy that she finally is able to do this and able to tell her story in good lights despite what she went through."
Many of the audience were entranced of his long speech including his family were. Bella just held onto his hand, as Megyn turned to their family members, and asked
"And when she told you her story, what was your reactions? Patrick?" Matt's dad, her father-in-law, said
"Thank you first for allowing us too to speak on this matter, Megyn. Like Matt, we too reacted with same feelings, but I also reacted with more anger behind doors, Mary, my wife, can contest to that I did, for I did not want to scare Bella nor make her go back in her recovery steps for what I reacted most was hurt and anger, for I felt who does something like that to their own daugther, just for she was a shy kid, how dare they even do so? Just for that, if it had been my daugther, whom is here, and she was like that, I would not pay a boy to rape her to get out of her shy shell, instead I would try to encourage to speak up when she sees something is wrong, and to know her voice matters. Just like Bella's voice which is a very beautiful voice too, she needs to be heard and that those who called her a whore, slut or famewhore who cried rape, you should known better to call her that, for she is and was far from being something like that. I am proud today, that she is my daugther-in-law and that Matt is the best man for her too, as I raised him with Mary with values of life and love matters. Nothing else is stronger than love."
Many were smiling with tears in their eyes, Megyn smiled too, as she turned to Lesley, said
"And what about you, Lesley was it, how did you react on what Bella told you?"
"At first when I didnt know it was her story, I was confused of why the author had the same name as Bella has, but when she then told us all in the kitchen of our parents', I could right there and then, see the pain in her eyes and the tears that fell from her eyes, and Matt holding onto her, holding her upright to be able to stand, it made me believe in her straight away, for that pain you cant fake that, if you do then you are psychopath or sociopath in the making, for no one is able to fake something like that, nor fake a story of a rape, for when we women and men too, has been raped, our trust in whatever sex that raped us, it breaks us, it makes us to not trust them for a very long time. So to see that Bella overcame that fear and actually married my brother few years ago, I am so awwed of her strength, for most of us knows with statistic that most victims of sexual assault has alot of issues to even to come that close of a marriage. Bella is the most strong and brave woman to overcome such pain and actually find love and new hope in my brother or any men who would be the same as my brother has been for her."
Many still smiled at this, and Bella mouthed thank you to her, and Lesley just smiled back. Megyn turned to Mary, and said
"And those of your children that is not here, I know they are younger and in school, how did they react on what had happened to Bella?"
"At first they were in shock, for they knew the birds and bees, and that sex is consentual art, and to hear that it can happen even not consuental, it was a shock to them to hear the word Rape, and that Bella had been through the biggest pain of losing not only her innocence in it but her childhood and dreams of a future was changed from that event that happened to her, around the same age my two youngest are right now. It made them more aware of such thing can happen to anyone, and due to that they are more aware of the signs of someone may be in pain or hiding something, so thanks to what Bella told them, as they told me just last night on the phone, they had helped a girl in school to report her own father of sexual abuse. And when I heard that, I was absolutely shocked of course but so proud of them to take such brave step and step up for this girl and help her to do the right thing and report her father of such heinous crime. I know those two aswell with my other children around me here, they will fight for women and men's right to say No, and that it is never Ok to force anyone into something they are not comfortable or want to happen for they are not ready mentally or psycially."
Many were shocked of her speech, and Bella had tears falling on her cheeks when she heard the part of what her younger brother-in-laws had done yesterday, as Matt just rubbed her back and gave her a tissue to dry her tears. Megyn said
"Wow what a bravery they did, well done boys. All crudos to them and to you also, Bella, as I know this part was hard on you to hear, as I can see the tears, are they of joy?"
Bella smiled, as she said
"Oh I am so proud of my younger brother-in-law's for their bravery and that they took down their own pride and stood up for another one and helped this young girl to report her disgusting father of his crimes against her. I am so happy that they did, and I can't wait to see them or meet this girl if she wants to of course."
Megyn said
"And I know despite of how hard it was not only to write this book, but now also talk about it, but I know that you have something else to tell us, as it what I heard something really good thing that has happened in your life."
Bella and Matt shared a look, then Matt said
"Well like we told our family just few days ago, now to you all, that this can lead to very happy things to take place in your life. For what has happened, is well why don't you say it baby?"
Bella just smiled, as she looked into the cameras;
"Just for I was a victim of a visous rape, doesnt mean I can't have a new and better life, for what has happened in my process of healing, is that I finally let my guard down around Matt, and we took the decision to start a new life together as wife and husband, and now also as mother and father to be, for I am now pregnant with my first child, that will be loved and cared for, something I never got to be by my former parents; Charles and Renee Swan, for they never raised me, only made sure I got to school and did my best, but they never gave any advise on what sex is, and due to that, I was raped by your hands and minds, for you with Carlisle and Esme Cullen planned with their bastard son, to rape me just for to get me out of my shy shell and get me married off with my rapist. That is not love, and never will either, for I do NOT love Edward Cullen, my rapist, I have nothing but hatred and anger towards him, to you all who was involved in this. I hope to the world that you will rot in jail and never be able to come out to this world, for the world is much safer without you in it and create more monsters to be around us. I am very happy now in my life and this book has healed me from what I went through by your hands, and I am so much stronger today thanks to my husband, Matt and his amazingly kind and supportive family in this journey I took on for almost 10 years ago, when I first began to write on my thoughts later became this book of my pain and truth of what really happened that september night of 2003 when Edward Cullen on your and his own parents demands to rape me and try to destroy me, but you never won, for I am the winner now, for you are where you are, while I am able to move on and become the woman I want to be today, and not only that, I am also able to become a mother myself, for I am pregnant with my first child with Matt, and he nor I will never become you, for that is not how a parent or parents should be. Ever."
Many were awed of her speech, then cheers broke out for the two, as Matt just kissed her softly. Megyn just smiled, as she said
"Wow, well congratulations not only to you two, but to your entire family, whom I know is a big one, due to how many siblings of yours, Matthew. Thank you again for being here, and coming here not to tell your story but to clarify things that was in limbo or just not truth. I hope and wish for all the best for you all. Thank you, and dont you all forget that you all will today get a copy of Isabella's book today. (She turned to Bella and Matt)Thank you both for coming and also thank you all of your family that could come today too. All the best wishes for you all, and good luck with your book and your pregnancy."
And with that it was now a commercial break, and the Spears family were once again thanked for their coming there and the audience clapped for them all as they left for backstage and to go home again. Bella was just pleased with the whole thing, that she fell asleep during the car-ride back home to South Dakota with everyone else around her in the big van they taken with them to ride all of them in it.
