A/N: Sooooooooo sorry for not updating in literally forever. Lots of things going on in high school.
It's a homework sandwich with a little bit of mashed up homework, topped with some fried homework and sprinkled with inequalities from MathMart.
All put in between some lightly toasted and golden brown clauses from Enlglish Inc. Doesn't it sound absolutely lovely? Anyways, hope you enjoy this.
POV Jack:
I sat in the long green grass, almost hidden amongst the tendrils of the imaginary octopus. It was an amazing place, the warden.
I had to give the kangaroo that. I felt a nudge on my left leg and looked down to see a small, unpainted egg repeatedly running into it.
I picked it up and it turned in a circle twice before plopping down in my hand. Getting up, I walked it over to Bunny's painting stations.
Besides creating the best snow days in the world, I was also pretty good at art. Picking up a paint brush, I dipped it in a metallic ivory color.
The egg made no sound but seemed to giggle as I swiftly coated it in the paint. I held the egg under a flower that blew out warm air and waited for it to dry.
Next, I grabbed a finer brush and walked over to a small stash of paints that I hid in Bunny's warden previously.
He doesn't use black because he says it's not "Easter-friendly". I just smirked and painted a dozen of his eggs completely black.
I mean, I guess I see his point. Black is a dark color.
As I sat there painting snowflakes and frost patterns on the little egg, a sudden thought occurred to me.
Black. Black is a dark color. And so is Pitch. I'd just made the worst mistake possible.
I'd opened a gateway for Pitch to take. As if on cue, the warden's walls began to shake, the vibrations sending my black paint jumping.
The egg jumped out of my hand and ran into a small crevice under a rock. I stood and took stance.
A swirl of black ink rose out of the jars, taking the form of the one and only boogie man.
"Hello, Jack. Did you miss me?"
