Summary: Izuku born without a quirk, Born to the minority. Couldn't be a Hero. Only... every person is the Hero of their own story even if only one person calls you a hero.
What's up everyone. So I was looking at the harem again and I'm thinking that i'm going to drop Mina and Setsuna. I like them both, but in truth I could see Mina and Setsuna as something akin to teasing 'big sisters' to Izuku. Besides that there are two charecters I think I want to put in the harem, but I digress. The harem will go though at least another 2 revisions before it's finalized.

A10riddick: There's nothing special about the title. It's actually a referance to the Intro theme song to Yu Yu Hakusho. Smile bomb. One of the Best Anime Intros of all time. Top 5 with Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha season 1 beating it out.
Bastidaswilliams2005: not Sure about Momo yet. I know she's the second or third (tied with Himiko) as Izuku's potitntail girlfriend, but I honestly think that Momo is a bit overrated and is only a match for Izuku in the brains department.

Chapter 3: Melissa Shield and Entrance Exam

Not really the first thing you want to wake up to after a very hard- down right torturesess 4 hour training session with a woman who could clear 100 meters of beach. Izuku groaned in pain as he slowly rose from his bed. Not only did his muscles hurt, but so did his spirit. Apparently Genkai and his mother had watched the news and have both been quite upset with him and his actions. Because his mother didn't really believe in punishment she left it up to Genkai. Who grinned. Over the last 10 months his mother and Genkai had become something akin to Mother and Daughter.
Anyway Izuku's punishments had been a very tough workout learning the limits of his 'Sword' ability and other such things. Izuku had gotten his sword to three minutes, but this effectively used up three bullets. So he had to be careful. He was just lucky that Genkai gave him the rest of the week off as the U.A entrance exams were that Saturday and she had basically told Izuku that the only form of excurise that he was allowed to do was meditate. One of the few ways he was able to strengthen his 'spiritual body' Personally with Izuku effectively being 'grounded for the week he decided that he would just got to the Beach and just hang out there.
As he looked around the now clean beach he noticed that a girl was there just looking at the rising sun. As he looked at her Izuku couldn't help the blush that came to his face as he looked at her. The girl was probably the same age as him. She was slightly taller then him and fairly curvy with a slender waist, Large chest and thick thighs. wavy blonde hair which reaches halfway down her back, two shorter pieces she leaves over her shoulders, side-swept bangs that frames her face, aqua-blue eyes, wearing a navy blue long sleeve shirt with E=MC2 on the front, tan capri pants and a pair of brown boots, a brown coat, around her neck was a pendent, and a pair of oval glasses.
Izuku took a breath and walked over to her. He had never really talked to a girl before, but no guts no glory right.
"Not many people come here," said Izuku.
The girl jumped slightly and let out a small scream before turning and throwing a kick at Izuku. Izuku managed to catch her heel and had to fight a wince at the power behind the impact. She was A LOT stronger then she looked.
The girl blushed as she lowered her leg. "Sorry about that. I'm not use to people sneaking up on me," said the girl blushing and looking away.
Izuku blushed. "Yeah. Sorry about that. I'm Izuku. Midoriya Izuku," said Izuku sticking out his hand.
The girl smiled. "Hello Izuku-san. I'm Melissa. Melissa Shield," said the girl.
Izuku raised a brow at this. "American?" asked Izuku.
Melissa nodded. "Yes and No. Yes I'm a descent from the Americas, but For the last 3 generation my family has lived on I-Island," said Melissa.
Izuku gasped looking at her. I-Island was basically it's own country the amount of money that went into the functioning of the Moving Island itself was in the Trillions. Izuku had hoped to visit the island one day.
"So what brings you to Japan?" asked Izuku.
"I'm here to take the U.A entrance exam. Although I would have been more then happy to go into the Support Course.
"Support?" asked Izuku.
Melissa smiled. "You don't spend your life living on I-Island without having some serious skills in inventing. However my uncle wants me to try out for the Hero course. He said that my quirk would be perfect for it," said Melissa.
"What's your quirk?" asked Izuku pulling out a small notebook without realizing it.
Melissa raised a brow but didn't say anything. She was prone to doing the same thing. "My quirk is nothing special really. It's 'Percentage Release'. You've heard the myth that humans only use 10 percent of their brain and body right? Well in my case it's true. My body is limited to 10 percent output at all times when my Quirk is not in use. Anything past that is actually numbered. My full power goes to 110 percent when i did my limit break test on I-Island. In fact that kick I throw was only about 5 percent of what I can safely access to at the moment," said Melissa.
Izuku wrote all this down , all the while drawing Melissa as well as uses for her ability. "Interesting... Since you told me about yours I'll tell you mine," said Izuku.
Before long Melissa and Izuku wasted several hours just sitting and talking. Before long the two were exchanging stories and just laughing about anything.
By the time noon rolled around Melissa got a call from her 'Uncle' asking where she was while Izuku was getting spam calls from his mother. The two exchanged before leaving to met their respective guardian. Only halfway to both their homes did it dawn on them.
"I GAVE MY NUMBER TO A CUTE GIRL/BOY!"

Izuku walked up to UA with a smile on his face. He took a step to began his journey... only for someone to touch his shoulder. He turned and found his new friend smiling at him. Izuku smiled back at Melissa. Over the last two weeks the two had gotten to know each other quite well. The two had quickly gotten over their nervousness around each other and quickly found themselves meeting each day just to hand out. While they didn't really do anything other then talk and go out to look at a few bad movies. While they weren't 'best friends' they still had someone they could relate to.
"Melissa how's it going," said Izuku.
"Good. How bout you Izuku?" asked Melissa.
"Good. Mom nearly had a heart attack when she heard us talking the other day," laughed Izuku.
Melissa laughed. "Same with Uncle Yagi. He's been insisting on meeting the boy who 'stole my heart,"
Before anything could else could be said between the two Bakugo shoved past Izuku and Melissa.
"Get out of the way Deku!" growled nearly sending him to the ground if it wasn't for a girl touching Izuku's shoulder making him 'float' in the air. Izuku righting himself and looked at the girl who stopped his fall. She was actually pretty cute. She was much shorter then Melissa was, but also as curvy and not as thicc,She is fair-skinned with a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes are large and round a warm auburn brown color, with rather thick upper eyelashes, Shoulder-length brown hair that was styled in a bobbed hair cut, a very promonet blush on her checks
"Are you okay?" asked the girl
"Yeah I'm fine," said Izuku.
The girl breathed a sigh of relief. "That;s good. I was afraid that you would be hurt before the exam starts," said the girl as she released her quirk by touching her fingers together.
Izuku landed on the ground as the girl took off. Izuku looked at the girl and was blushing the entire time. Melissa raised a brow at her friend, but didn't say anything about it. Honestly Melissa was a scientist at heart and knew that biologically the brown haired girl was quite attractive and a regular boys hormones and primitive desire to breed would find the girl an great partner. Although Melissa knew that she was a much better partner. Melissa instantly froze as this though crossed her mind. She shuck her head. Izuku was just a boy. A handsome boy, a kind boy, a funny boy, a very strong boy, but a boy nether the less. It was just her own hormone driven teenage brain talking. It would pass.
She hoped.
About 20 minutes later everyone was seated in the UA auditorium as they prepared for their orientation. Izuku and Melissa sat next to each other close to the middle of the nearly 200 students. The lights of the auditorium dimmed significantly as the lights on stage came up. Standing there was the Voice Hero: Present Mic a tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a huge tuft behind his head, and a small brown mustache. He wore a black jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He sports tan shoulder pads and a red belt and elbow pads, all studded, and black finger less gloves. His neck is always obscured by a directional speaker a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" written on the headband and a pair of orange-tinted shades.
Izuku had the biggest smile on his face seeing Present Mic on the stage. He regularly toned in to his Talk show and Pod cast. While Mic had never been able to break into the top 10 he was still ranked as one of the stronger heroes. With 36 being his Current rank.
"What's up Listeners!?" yelled Present Mic with a smile on his face.
"A few people who were hardcore fans as well as Izuku all cheered for Mic, before he calmed them down.
"Welcome to UA entrance exam listeners. The Exam is divided into two parts. A written exam and a Practical Quirk exam. You;ve all done written exams before so I won't bore you with the details. The Practical exams will go as follow you will all be divided into two groups. Group A and Group B and then dumped into 2 Square Kilometer radius. You will be battling robots to gain points. Each robot is worth a specific number of points ranging from 1 to 3," said Present Mic
"That seems a little to straight forward," whispered Izuku to Melissa.
Melissa nodded. "I know. From what Uncle Yagi told me things at UA are never that cut and dry."
A hand shot up. "Excuse me!" yelled Someone.
"Yes Listener Number 123?"
"In the pamplats handed out it stated that there were 4 villain models, but only three are displayed. I find it highly unlikely that such a prestigious school would make such a mistake. And you two, if you want to flirt then go somewhere else,"
Izuku and Melissa blushed at his words, but glared at him never the less. He the hell was he to say what he just said!?
"Good catch listener, but no we didn't forget about that thing. The fourth Villain is worth 0-points. So it would be a good idea to avoid it at all costs," said Mic with a rather ominous tone to his voice.
The Written exam went by fairly quickly being only 30 minutes long. While everyone present was hoping to get into the Hero course- was that an explosion by a pink haired girl yelling about babies?- The written Exam was to allow others into the General Studies, Management, and support Courses. Finally everyone was given the chance to change into clothes that would allow them to do their best.
Although one thing that sucked was that Izuku and Melissa were not going to be in the same group. Izuu was going to be in Group A, while Melissa was going to Group B.
"Good Luck Melissa," said Izuku
Melissa smiled at Izuku. "You to Izuku. Don't make me come and save you," said Melissa winking at Izuku. Making him blush.
The pairing wished each other good luck with a fist bump
They went there separate ways.

Place: Battle Ground A
Time: 1120
Izuku stretched as he looked around the other students around the area. He managed to see the girl from before as she looked like a nervous wreak. Izuku felt bad for her and wanted to calm her down. As he walked her way he was stopped.
Izuku turned around and saw that it was the guy from earlier. He was giving Izuku a look of disappointment.
"Can I help you?" asked Izuku.
"Can't you see that she's trying to concentrate?" asked The boy. "Or were you planning on sabotaging her. For a hero prospect that is rather villainous.
Izuku bristled at the accusation. "You know it's rather rude to jump to conclusions like that," said Izuku throwing the other young man's hand off of his shoulder.
"AND START!" yelled Present Mic
Izuku heard this and dashed forward and into the city. He rounded the courner and saw two 3-pointers and four 1-pointers. Izuku pulled his fist back and charged Energy to it.
"SHOTGUN!" yelled Izuku throwing his fist forward unleashing six 'bullets'. Each bullet flew true and struck the robots destroying them.
He would have to think Genkai-sensei later for suggesting that he learn to split one of his bullets into a AOE attack. Of course it was only natural that the attack was so much weaker then a regular bullet but it was fine. He planned on using his passive strength saving his bullets for closer to the end.
"That's 10," said Izuku as he creaked his knuckles as the sounds of battle began to go off around him. "Looks like I'm on the clock now,"
Izuku saw a two pointer and charged it. It was about to be a long ten minutes.

Melissa leaned backwards avoiding a punch from a two pointer. She righted herself, before jumping and stomping on it's head, before bounching off and spin kicking a three pointer. Landing on her feet she rolled as a one pointer attacked where she was. She spun around to attack it, but missed her chance as it went up in an explosion.
"Out of my way!" yelled the angry pamaranian,
Melissa glared at Bakugo and Jumped up before punching the robot that appeared behind him.
"Your welcome asshole!" yelled Melissa as she jumped away to find another Villain-bot.

Place: Entrance Exams Grading Zone
Time: 1128
The observation room had sevreal heros reviewing the performance of the Kids in questions. While they didn't know it. Each kid had a several nano cameras following them so the heros could anilize what the kids did. Yagi was looking at Melissa and Izuku. Melissa because she was like a niece to him and Izuku because the boy intriged him. And not just because Melissa talked non stop about her new 'best friend' who happened to be a 'boy'.
"The green haired one... Candidate 192... Midoriya Izuku. He seems to be quite the power house. Ten points right out the gate and... oh Tackling another student out of the way, even if it cost him that three pointer," said The only Female in the group.
"He's already in first place in Villain points as well as rescue points," said a man who wore a gas mask.
"I'm more interested in Miss Shields. Child of one of the worlds smartest men. And her quirk Percentage Release is quirk. Her fighting style leaves a lot of opening, but nothing that experience and training can't fix," said a hero with messy black hair.
"What about the explosive child... Bakugo Katsuki? Excellent Grades. Powerful Quirk. And quite the hot head," said a man who had a dog head.
All powerful children in their own right and each has made more then enough points to get into the hero course, but does their heroic spirit end at just fighting fodder or can they made the hard sacrifice when needed?" asked a rather small... Dog... rat... bear... thing.
"Then let us find out," said Yagi hitting a big red button.

Izuku panted as he looked at the last bot he had hit. He had managed to get 51 villain points. He didn't know if it was enough, but he hoped that it was. Especially with 2 minutes remaining. Maybe he could get a few points. He was about to take off in a random direction when the entire area began to shake.
"That can't be good!" thought Izuku.
He was about to take off as he heard a scream. A girl with Pink skin, yellow horns, and black eyes was on a building scoping out for bots when the shaking began. Losing her balance she fell and braced herself for impact. Izuku took a running start and jumped upwards catching her in his arms at the 3rd story, before he turned and hit the ground back first. Izuku let out a yelp of pain as he skid along the ground and stopped.
"OMG! Are you okay?" asked the girl still in his arms.
Izuku grimaced. "I'm fine. What about you Miss?" asked Izuku.
"I'm good. Thanks for the save," said the pink skinned girl.
Izuku rose to his feet and let the pink girl down as several people began to run past them. Izuku and the girl looked up to see a Large Robot that was easily 10 stories tall stomping towards them.
"what the hell is that!?" asked Mina.
"That's the Zeo-pointer!" yelled Izuku."We got to get out of here!"
Izuku and the girl turned to escape to a safe location so as not to deal with the larger Bot.
"HELP! I'm stuck!" yelled someone catching their attention.
It was the girl from earlier. Izuku let out a small grunt It seemed like he was destined to save girls today. Izuku did a quick check and found that he had enough energy for two bullets. He charged at where the girl was and grabbed the rock she was trapped under as he lifted it off her. The Pink skin girl rushed over and grabbed her under her armpits and pulled her out. He dropped the bolder and turned to follow after them. Only to see a large shadow looming over the Pink girl and the brown haired girl. They weren't going to make it.
Izuku followed after them and channeled his energy into his finger.
"SPIRIT GUN!" yelled Izuku shooting out a single compressed bullet that ripped though the arm of the villain, but Izuku wasn't finished yet. "DOUBLE SHOT!"
Following his initial blast Izuku unleashed his second shot that flow and hit the Villain in the head area blowing it up.
"Amazing," said the Pink haired girl.
"Wow!" said the brown haired girl
"AND LISTENERS THAT'S TIME!" yelled Present Mic.
Izuku looked at the sky as the pieces of robot rained down around them, before he snak to his knees in exhaustion.
"I got to stop over doing it," thought Izuku as his world turned black.

Melissa wiped her brow and looked around at the destruction that had happened. Fire could be seen from some of the buildings as well as rushing water. Apparently collateral damage was not an issue for some people. If they were so ready to cause potential harm to civilians then what was the point of them being heroes?
"53 should be good enough to get into UA," said Melissa.
She was about to take off down the main road and see what else there was do. With two minutes left and a field of dwelling bots there wasn't much she could do. That;s when she felt it. A tremor that shuck the earth.
"What the!" yelled Melissa as a Large Bot appeared.
Before Melissa could make heads or tails of it a Large explosion appeared at the base of the bot, along with a scream of DIE! Melissa managed to look at the edge and saw the Pomeranian going crazy with his attacks. Hid attacks did damage, but not enough to destroy it. Clicking her teeth in annoyance. Melissa pushed as much power as she could into her legs and jumped into the air above the bot.
Focusing her power into her right arm she aimed downward. "GEMMA SMASH!" yelled Melissa! (2)
Melissa's strike was true and broke though the Villain's head, destroying it with ease. With the bot stopping Melissa sat on top of it and sighed as she looked at her arm. It was bruised, cut and bleeding in places, but it was fine.
"AND LISTENERS THAT'S TIME!" yelled Present Mic.
Melissa smiled. She wasn't worried about failing. After all she the ultimate shield didn't fail, ever.

1: UA might as well be a freaking city with how big it really is. And if I was to compare it to any academy in all of Fiction I would say Totsui Academy from Food Wars and probably half the size.
