"For nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart."
- Turning Page by Sleeping At Last
[A/N: I really recommend listening to this while reading this chapter ;)]

A slight breeze wakes me from my dream, and I turn to my right side, eyes still closed. My nose nudges against a warm a body next to me as I feel his hand wrapped around me, holding me closer.
That's when our last night's events came to me. Or rather the obvious ache between my legs makes itself know the moment I sift my feet just a little under the covers. But it was worth it as the corners of my lips rise at the memory.
Me and Lucifer where up until 2AM until one of us finally broke from exhaustion. Can't seem to recall who was it exactly.
Suddenly, I feel Lucifer sift on his side and I quickly make sure my eyes are still closed. I don't know why I do it. It might be because of the little habit I have since when I was kid. I would always pretend I was still asleep whenever my Dad or Mom would want check if I was awake, just so I could have a few more minutes of the comfy feeling in my bed.
Lucifer roles onto me, carefully between my legs as if he's checking to see if I'm awake and I bite my tongue to hold back any stupid giggles I may accidently let out.
A soft pair of lips press against my nose and my mouth immediately starts to twitch. And the sudden sensation of the tip of his fingers brushing against my bare stomach finally makes my lips turn into a smile, along with the giggles that were supposed to stay suppressed, erupt into laughter. Damn it.
"Good morning." He laughs, now pressing his nose against mine just when I open my eyes to see his beautiful brown orbs eyeing me intently.
"A very good morning." I murmur back to him, brushing his hair back with my hand. "You seem very energetic today." I tell him just when I feel him press his bare chest against my breasts.
"Kind of hard not to when it's you, Detective." Lucifer says, placing a kiss against my neck and letting it linger there when he purrs a question. "How are you feeling?"
"Sore."
A deep chuckle erupts from him.
"You're a total caveman in bed, you know that?" I slap his shoulder playfully right before he pulls himself slightly up so I can meet his gaze. The thumb of my hand instinctively brushes his perfect stumble in the proses. His left hand wraps itself around my right wrist. And that's when I finally notice it.
My lips fall apart at the sight of the eye-catching silver bracelet around my right hand.
"Lucifer." I mumble his name out loud, still in awe of what my brain is trying to register.
"Always." He says while I look at the bracelet and finally realize it's exactly what it says. Flipping it around I find a small word engraved behind the back of it.

I look up to meet his gaze as remember our last night's conversation. He finally answered my question. "We'll always be together."
He's so undeniably cute right now. I can't! And I love it!
"If that's still what you want?" He asks with those brown doe eyes I love so much.
In an instant, I trap my legs around him and flip us over, taking his lips as if they were my own. Lucifer slips his tongue inside to meet mine and I swirl it around him, making him moan in response.
Sliding my hands over his, I push them above his head. "What are you doing?" He says against my lips.
"Nothing." I pull at his lip, making it pop.
"No." He says as I push myself up a little as he continues to glare at me. "You have that look in your eyes."
"What look?" I smile back at him, making him squint his brows.
"That look whenever you're about to do something that I have no clue of."
"That's silly..." I defend as I glance to my right suddenly. "Hey, what's that?"
"What?" Lucifer immediately looks. "I don't see anything-" I cut off his sentence as I lean into the left side of his face and slip my tongue inside his ear, making him squirm underneath me.
"Q-Qu-QUIT IT!" He begs as I continue to tickle his sensitive earlobe by guiding my tongue all around the skin. "Stop it! That tickles!"
I give up quickly than I wanted to since I can't hold my chuckles that turn into full on laughter as I watch Lucifer's body shudder in laughter. "Too sensitive?"
Lucifer brushes a strand of hair behind my ear and nods.
And out of nowhere, I have this desire in me to prolong this wonderful morning before we have to go to work.
I slide off the bed and quickly find Lucifer's black dress shirt lying around and pull it on me while buttoning up just four at the bottom.
"What are you doing?" Lucifer asks as his lifts himself up with his elbows to eye my every move.
I strode over to him to grab both his hands to pull him out of bed. "Play me something."
Lucifer smiles at me, grabbing his red robe, I guide him down the steps of the bedroom, making quick steps as the cool titles tingle beneath my feet.
When we reach his precious piano, Lucifer sits on the bench eyeing me as I lean against the instrument. Waiting.
"Come here." He says sweetly and with a husky voice.
Moving to sit next to him, I hear him sigh just before Lucifer slides his arms under my thighs, lifting me up without much of an effort and places me on his lap.
I feel him blowing warm breaths on my neck while he places his hands on the keys.
"Put your hands on me."
I smile, doing as he instructs me and slide my hands slowly over his arms until they settle over him, my hands on his.
Lucifer's lips press against the skin of my neck just below my right ear and they linger there for a while as he starts to move his fingers with mine elegantly on the keys of the piano.
"I've waited a hundred years. But I'd wait a million more for you." He sings and I can't help but smile. "Nothing prepared me for. What the privilege of being yours would do."
Turning slightly, I press my lips against his left cheek.
"If I had only felt the warmth within your touch... If I had only seen how you smile when you blush." He says while rubbing his nose against the right side of my face, making my giggle. "Or how you curl your lip when you concentrate enough. I would have known what I was living for all along... What I've been living for."
The song reminds me of teen movie I can't seem to remember the name of.
"Your love is my turning page. Where only the sweetest words remain." Without breaking out of song, Lucifer still expertly manages to brush his stumble against the side of my jaw, making my toes curl at the sweet and yet very intimate gesture. "Every kiss-" Placing his lips against the corner of my mouth. "is a cursive line. Every touch is a redefining phrase."
As he continues to play the very beautiful song and sing so very soothingly, it makes me lean into him even more as my eyes start to squint when my gaze meets the balcony that welcomes the morning light of dawn inside the penthouse.
"I surrender who I've been for who you are. For nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart. If I had only felt how it feels to be yours. Well, I would have known what I've been living for all along... What I've been living for." A gentle kiss is placed right at the back of my neck. Like a strike of electricity, heat rises from my neck to my cheeks. As if making my heart start to drum to the beat of a storm.
"Though we're tethered to the story we must tell. When I saw you, well I knew we'd tell it well." My hands find their way around Lucifer's neck just when his head turn back to me. "With a whisper-" His hot breath blows against my face. "we will tame the vicious seas. Like a feather-" His lips finally brushing against my own. "bringing kingdoms to-" And connect with slow gentle collision. "...their knees."
Ever so slowly, Lucifer presses his lips against mine while wrapping his hands around my hips as my hands now find their way to his hair, brushing and gripping his dark locks with need.
Lucifer's tongue decides to slide from the corner of my mouth and agonizingly slowly over my bottom lip until it met my right corner, right before he slipped in. And sadly, out to which I pout.
"What do you want to do now?" Tilting his head, his hot breath at my neck. Feeling the bulge in his boxers press against my behind.
"What do you wanna do?" I say as if in a drunken haze at the sensation I feel just by being on his lap and in his tight embrace.
"How about we start in the hot tub?"
Needless to say, the rest of the morning continued as if in a hasty fever dream.
"Oh, my God, Chloe! That's beautiful." Ella squeals as she examines my bracelet on my wrist. "You're so lucky!"
I smile. I don't know if I was the one who was lucky. But I can't deny the way Lucifer makes feel.
Ella gives me a wink right before she heads up to one of the offices on the second floor. Lucifer's gaze not far behind.
"Hey, Daniel's here." Lucifer says as he eyes him near the staircase talking to someone. "I better go say Hi."
I pull at his arm to hold him back. "Lucifer, don't scare him." I hate to freak him out even more. Even Lucifer knows I didn't take the truth all that well in the begging. Dan's no different. "Give him some time. The man's seen enough as it is."
"Now that's where you're wrong, Detective. Imagine if he'd been here earlier, Daniel would have probably pissed himself a river in his boxers at the scene of a celestial fight." He laughs at the thought. Lucifer finally told me what really happened here while I was oblivious to everything. "Come to think of it, Mazikeen would have stopped hitting me and laughed herself into a coma if she saw that."
"Wait." Suddenly Trixie's voice comes closer as she finds us. Dan must have brought her to work. "You and Maze had a fight?" Trixie asks, voice filled with heartbreak as she hears that one of her best friends are in a fight.
"I assure you, it's quite common. Not to worry. She'll calm down." Lucifer knowingly smiles as if that wasn't first time. "Eventually."
Trixie frowns. "Maybe you should go and apologize to her."
"Me? Why should I? She's the one who almost stab-" Lucifer lets out small groan of discomfort as his sentence gets abrupted by my elbow in his ribs. There was no need to tell Trixie of the specifics of the immortal fights around her. And there was definitely no need to start now. "I mean... She started it." Coughing to clear his throat as he eyes me carefully just in case, I might do it again. Now he's being silly.
"It doesn't matter who started it."
I smile as I look at my precious Monkey giving Lucifer orders. When did she become so wise?
"Besides." Trixie crosses her arms against her chest. "Weren't you the one who kept a big thing from Maze in the first place?"
Confusingly, my gaze snaps to Lucifer's. As if something just struck a chord in his head. What exactly, I have no idea but seeing my daughter and Lucifer exchange knowing looks, means I'm clearly missing something.
"You." Lucifer suddenly breaths out, lips parted as he lets out a huff. "Well I'll be damned. She put you up to that."
Up to what?
Trixie simply smirks and then turns to me instead. "Hey, Mom, can I have five bucks for the vending machine, please?"
"Yeah, sure." I say a little slowly than needed but brush it off and give her the dollar bill.
As Trixie walks away to find herself a snack, I turn to Lucifer still caping like a fish out water. "What was that all about?"
"Did you know your daughter's a little deviant in disguise?" He asks somewhat with a hint of pride in his voice as we both walk to my desk.
My gaze lands on the new casefiles stacked like a skyscraper in front of my desktop. "What do you mean by that?" I ask while skimming through the files.
"Nothing. Just a PS game reference." Lucifer pulls the files from my grasp and makes me laugh at his eagerness to find the so-called most exciting one first. And funnily enough, I let him. "You would find it likeable."
"You're so sure, huh?"
"Well, yes." Lucifer says as he finally digs through the papers and finds the one that catches his eye. "A detective would love to play as a detective..., Detective." He lips turn into one of his biggest trademark smirks.
Can't help but roll my eyes and smile at him.
"I'll go check if that little deviant hasn't managed to empty the entire vending machine again." I smile while eyeing Lucifer's smug expression. "Wonder who taught her that?"
Lucifer's shoulders lift. "One of life's finest mysteries."
I snort at his response while heading to the coffee room. One of life's finest mysteries my ass.
Entering the room, my gaze falls down to the five-dollar bill that catches my eye. The one I gave Trixie just five minutes ago is left abandoned on the floor beside the vending machine.
I instinctively pick it up and I turn around to find Lucifer with me.
"Hey, I just-"
A cold shiver runs down my back.
"Lucifer." My voice caught in my throat and comes out like a whisper. As a mother, this is one of my worst fears.
Lucifer scans the room as well as myself and his eyes say exactly what I fear.
"We'll find her, Chloe." Pulling me against his side when my eyes keep being unfocused at the thin air all around me. The hauntingly distinctive memory of Malcom kidnaping Trixie still plagues my mind from time to time. This feeling is all too familiar, and I don't know if I could relive it again. "I promise you."
Anyone get the DBH reference? No? Just me? Ok. Anyway...
Wow the Season 5 part 2 was a rollercoaster of emotions. The actors where incredible and the scenes where shot and put together so good, that it made me wish I was in a movie theater watching this epic piece of art.
It's weird since I'm writing my own version of part 2 before it even came out and at least 3 or 4 things happened that I have already planned out as well. And biggest thing was well... Daniel.
Hey, all of you Lucifan writers! Did this sense of revelation happen to you too while watching it? If it did, let me know.
Love ya!
