As they started walking up the mountain Naruto sported a lot of signs along the mountain read most of them saying beware or attention monsters, he started to see it was getting dark and of course Leorio complaining about how hungry he was and that there was no way that this was a 2-hour walk that was until his older brother Kurapika mention that they were already here and in the clearing was an old wooden house. Naruto looked at the surrounding and of course, his brother also noticed how quiet the area was, Naruto didn't like it and he felt that something was very wrong but he noticed that his older brother commented that they might the only ones that have made it this far and because of that he started to relax even a little.

Leorio started walking up the house and Naruto started to feel uneasy again but he wasn't about to say anything as Leorio knocked on the door it didn't seem that anyone was about to answer the door anytime soon so Naruto looked at Leorio and said " just open the door and let's go inside" Leorio nodded and as soon as he opens the door everyone froze there in the centre of the house was a badly injured couple and a very large monster inside, Naruto swore as he saw the monster and knew that he shouldn't have trusted his gut but of course, he relaxed because he took what his older brother said to heart. Naruto and everyone else was quick to pull out there weapon but before they even had a chance to attack it, the monster ended up attacking them first and Naruto watched as the monster ran off.

Naruto didn't even bother to wait for his brother and his newly founded friends as he went after the monster, Gon and Kurapika watched Naruto go and Gon quickly went after him as Kurapika was about to follow them he told Leorio to make sure that he took care of the wounded. Naruto and Gon kept running towards the forest until Naruto sense the monster and turn to Gon who nodded his head to confirm that he also sensed it, Naruto just smiled with pride when he saw that Gon also picked it up and they ran after the monster in Naruto mind he couldn't believe that someone so small can pick up the monster very quickly but he wasn't the only one impressed it looks like his older brother was also very impressed by Gon being able to find something so quickly.

As they ran after the monster they had managed to catch up to it and Gon looked at it before shouting " release her!" Naruto looked at the monster as it growled but then all the sudden Kurama started talking to him " Kit that monster isn't normal I sense that something else is wrong here" Naruto blinked as he listened to Kurama before asking "What you mean?" Kurama just sighed and said that " Kit keep quiet for now but I think this is another test" Naruto eyes widen and then something inside him clicked it made sense doesn't it, after all, they are going for the Hunter licence maybe Kurama was right, Naruto just smirked and didn't say anything as he heard the monster tell them to try and get the girl back by themselves and of course Gon just had to get excited about the fact that the monster could talk. Naruto just facepalmed himself before telling Gon " Gon there might be a chance we can talk to it" Gon understanding Naruto thinking nodded his head before shouting at the monster and hitting it on the head which in return made Naruto sweatdrop, Naruto shaking his head noticed the girl and went after her to make sure that she was okay.

Naruto landed next to her and looked her over before he noticed the tattoos on the girl's body and then hen turns to his brother but before he could say anything he saw what seem to be like Leorio walk over to them, as he was about to say something Kurapika threw his weapon at it and Naruto watched as it transformed into another monster. Naruto turned and looked at the girl before growling and saying " who are you?" he made sure to have his Chakra Blade close to him and he watched as the girl smiled turned into something a little sinister for his liking, as he watched her reaction closely he completely forgot that Gon had after the monster by himself and when he finally realised he couldn't move as there was no way he was living his older brother with this thing, he was about to say something to his brother but then stop himself deep down he wanted to protect Gon but even he knew that Gon can handle himself and he shouldn't interfere even if he had wanted too.

In the clearing a little further away Gon spotted the monster again and this time the monster turn to look at him and said " You are fast for a kid and to hit me like you did I will make you pay" he started charging at Gon and was just about to attack him before Gon looked at him and said " who are you?" the monster stopped and looked at Gon before Gon looked back at the monster and said " your not the monster I hit before" the monster looked at him confused and asked Gon how he could have figured it out as it wasn't easy to do so and Gon with such easiness told him that they looked nothing alike, which made the monster laugh with joy before shouting out " hey Tochan com here, I have something to show you" It didn't take long before everyone comes out including the other monster.

Naruto looked at Gon with a raised eyebrow before the monster explained that Gon could tell them apart which confused everyone else including Naruto who alongside Leorio couldn't see the difference between them at all, the girl then to Naruto and smiled before saying " If someone who doesn't know ancient history then they will not understand the tattoo after all this tattoo is given to young girls from the Sumi clan to wear in witness of a promising marriage" Kurapika turned to look at his brother and smiled proudly because no matter what the people in the village of Konoha said Naruto was actually pretty smart as he figured it out all by himself that it was impossible for them to be Husband and wife. Naruto saw his brother smile and he smiled back before the monster looked at them and told them that they well be happy to take them to the testing site which everyone agreed too even though at first Leorio wasn't so sure about riding on top of a monster, Naruto getting a little annoyed at him grabbed him and throw him onto the monster before he climbed on and said " to the testing sight" which everyone laughed and smiled about before they headed off.
