I do not own Fate/Stay Night or anything related to Type-Moon whatsoever, except only the OCs of the story. Also, spoiler warning: M is in case of sexual themes and stuff. Also, this is a preview of the story, so do not make a review to it. If you want to make a review, please do so on the latest chapter before this. Anyway, other than that, enjoy!
Chapter 10 Preview
Yuzuru's POV:
It was a new day today, and I was dressed in my casual clothes, with my now-fixed jacket, as I waited for Aimi to come and meet up with me at the meeting spot, which was at the park. Mirai-senpai and the others were out in Shinto Town to go back to the daycare center to find whatever more clues that they could find, while Saber was with Minna to watch over her for me. I looked around for a bit, seeing that Aimi hasn't shown up yet, before I took a look at my watch and saw that it was around 8:30 a.m.
"Huh." I thought, "Did I get here too early or…?"
"Hi!"
"WHAAAH!" I shouted, startled by someone sneaking up on me from behind, and I turned around with my guard up only to see that it was Aimi, who was smiling and giggling at my reaction from her sneaking up on me.
"Ah, that never gets old." Aimi laughed a little.
I sighed and said, "Aimi, please, don't do that again."
"No promises." Aimi simply smiled, "Anyway, shall we go now? We're going to investigate the location where the missing children are."
"Uh…yeah, right." I said, "Let's…do that."
"Hmm?" Aimi looked at me confusedly, "Is there something the matter, Shindou-sama? You look uncomfortable."
"Huh?" I said, "O-Oh, no! No! I-It's nothing! It's nothing, just…just a bit tired as all. Let's get going."
"Very well." Aimi smiled, "Let's go."
While Aimi proceeded forward, I stopped for a moment and thought about what Mirai-senpai said to me yesterday.
Yesterday:
"Remember," said Mirai-senpai, "Once you both arrive at the Kumagai residence and rescue the missing and surviving orphaned children who are held hostage and are likely being subjected and experimented there, go and destroy any sorts of tools and methods that they used for experiments to make them obedient slaves. Put an end to the Kumagai family and their experiments on children so that they would never use those methods again. This is the only chance that we have to save the kids and learn what we can about what happened to Asakura. And the only chance…for Aimi to confront her past, whether she's ready or not. So, Yuzuru…" Mirai-senpai brought out a piece of paper with the address on it and added, "I want you to go to this location where the Kumagai family are and help Aimi find out what truly happened to her and her parents in the past. Do so, and perhaps help Aimi find closer to all of it."
Now:
"Put an end to it so Aimi could have closer…" I thought, "Right." After enough thinking to myself, I hurriedly followed Aimi who was already ahead of me.
We both walked side-by-side on our way to our destination, to the Kumagai family residence. Though from my glances at her, I could see that Aimi has no idea that we were going to that location. At least, not yet. Aimi looked at me as if feeling my glances at her, but I immediately looked away and continued looking forward, and Aimi shrugged it off and we continued walking.
"Shindou-sama, if there's something bothering you, you can just tell me." said Aimi, "You've been giving me glances for quite a while."
"Oh, uh…sorry." I said, "I was just…thinking about some things."
"About what?" Aimi asked.
"Well, uh…a-about you." I said, "Well, about what your life was like before you met Mirai-senpai and the others."
"Oh, you mean my childhood?" Aimi asked.
"Uh…yeah." I said, "I-I mean, I HAVE been getting to know you guys better for the past few weeks. Well, Sayaka and Hiroko, but uh…I haven't exactly heard what your childhood was like." Well, that was obviously a lie since I already heard about her backstory from Mirai-senpai already, but I needed to at least give out a distraction for Aimi so she doesn't get too suspicious. Plus, I needed to make sure if Aimi really doesn't know what really happened to her.
"Oh!" said Aimi, before she smiled, "Very well then, if you insist."
I listened carefully as Aimi began her story.
