Abhijeet received a call from Kabir sir. Unintentionally, he let out a frowning sound while clenching his mobile in his hand. He waits for a second, thinking about the possibilities for that phone call but his mind was already preoccupied. And by the time he tried to receive it, the call hang up. He waited for few seconds and sure enough, his phone started ringing again. He picked up and the crooked voice of Kabir sir pierced in his ear.
Kabir sir: (nearly shouting) itni der se phone kar raha hoon aur ab utha rahe ho tum.
Abhijeet hissed: Abhi tu main waise bhi duty se farigh hoon. Meri marzi hi ke main aap ki call uthaon ke nahi. (Kabir sir frowned at his comment) Koi kaam tha aap ko (stressing) Mujh se.
Kabir sir smiled sarcastically: Tum tu sab kuch mujh se pooch kar hi karte ho na.
Abhijeet: Tu aap chahte hain ke main aapse aise poochon ke "kyun phone kiya mujhe".
Kabir sir: Tumhein ye batane ke liye ke main tumhare suspension orders wapis leta hoon. (Abhijeet angrily clutched the phone in his hand) Aur main chahta hoon ke tum kal se duty wapis join karlo.
Abhijeet: (in a loud voice) Aap ne yeh sab koi bachoon ka khel samajh rakha hai kiya. Kabhi nikal do, kabhi wapis bula lo. (Trying to calm himself down) Aur Daya ki aisi condition ki wajah se main aap se waise bhi leave ki request karne wala tha. (In a low voice) Main nahi aa sakta.
Kabir sir: Main tum se pooch nahi raha hoon, Bata raha hoon. Kal tum mujhe bureau main chahiye ho warna yaad rakhna (in a warning tone) tum apne sath kayi aur logon ki naukri ko bhi khatre mein dalo ge.
Abhijeet: Aap ko yeh sab kar ke mile ga kya? Thori bahut izzat thi meri nazron mein aap ki who bhi aap ne kho di… And he cut the call immediately.
Kabir sir: Ab tum dekho main tumhein kaise din mein tare dikhata hoon. Mujh se panga lene wala aaj tak paida nahi hua.

Abhijeet made his way towards the hall where Salunkhe sir and Acp sir were already present. Dr. Anurag came from Daya's room. All three of them looked at him hopefully but the looks on his face were enough to guess the rest.
Dr. Anurag: Is mein time to lagta hai. Main aap logon ko jhoti tasali nahi dena chahun ga lekin Is sab mein 1 hafta bhi lag sakta hai, 1 mahina bhi aur shayad 1 saal bhi. (Looking at their hanging faces) Lekin amin apni taraf se puri koshish karoon aga. Ap log bilkul bhi pareshan na hoon. Mere bas mein jo hua woh main karoon ga.
Abhijeet: (turning towards Acp sir and Salunkhe sir) Mujhe aap log ko kuch batana hai.
Dr. Anurag excused himself and went to the guest room they prepared for him.
Abhijeet: Kabir sir ka phone aaya tah aur unhoon ne kaha hai ke woh mera termination ka order wapis lete hain or chahte hain ke main kal se hi bureau join karlon.
Acp sir: (sensing Kabir's intention) Main samajh raha hoon ke who yahan kiya karna chah rahe hain. Un ko soch itni giri hui bhi ho sakti hai maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha. (Taking a deep breath) Main jaanta hoon tum ye baat mujh se kyun kar rahe ho Abhijeet (Silently looking towards him) Lekin Head quarters ke faisle ke aage main bhi kuch nahi kar sakta. Agar unhoon ne tumhien aane ka keh diya hai tu tumhien jaana pare ga. Unhien tu is se koi farq nahi par…
Abhijeet: (Aggressively) Lekin mujhe farq parta hai. Agar Daya yahan is halat mein hai tu main wahan beth kar maze se kaam nahi kar sakta. (Standing up from his spot) Aur agar who meri baat nahi mane tu main har who kaam karoon ga jis ki unhien mujh se umeed bhi nahi hogi. Ta ke who tang aakar khud hi mujhe nikal dein.
Acp sir: Ab koi aisa kaam mat karna jo tum dono ko mushkil mein daal de. (Trying to make him understand) Tum ne dekha na kis tarah unhoon ne tumhari aik ghalti ko sare masle ki jar keh diya. Kis tarah unhoon ne apne laparwahi ko bhi ussi mein chupa liya. (Putting a hand on his shoulder) Ab who tumhare har qadam ginne gein ke kahin tum ghalti karo aur who usse cash karayien. Aur…
But his sentence remained incomplete as Abhijeet broke down in tears. He slowly sat down on the sofa while both Acp sir and Salunkhe sir came to console him. His silent cry was speaking more than his words could define. He felt so helpless that he now can't even choose a different way just because of his mistake. Oh yes, they called it a mistake because they couldn't see the love and care for each other.
Abhijeet silently went from there towards Daya's room. Salunkhe sir gestured for Acp sir to come behind him when they heard a knock on their door. They went to open it and it was clear from their faces that they weren't pleased to look at him.
