OP: Metamorphose feat. Ishida Yoko – Over the Testament (Shinmai Maou no Testament BURST OP)
(As the music begins, a flash of white light occurs as the camera moves upwards to depict a mural showing the entire universe like a tree, first starting with the Burning Hells and their masters, the Seven Evils, as they light up in red. Aidan appears first in a blue background with a bare chest before it cuts back to the mural moving upwards to the middle showing Sanctuary/Earth and all the other realms surrounding it, including the Underworld which light up in green. Then Rias appears in a red background, a bit further back than Aidan yet also naked before it reverts back to the upper portion of the mural, showing the High Heavens and their leaders, the Angiris Council, illuminated in a white glow. Akeno is the last show further back than Aidan and Rias, also naked and with a yellow background. The last image shows the entire mural illuminated in its respective colors.)
Over the Testament (The title of the show is revealed as Highschool DxD: The Prime Evil)
sabireta kono sekai ni habikoru (Aidan is standing on top of Tristram Cathedral, looking out to the sunset over the horizon before he turns briefly to his right to face away from the camera)
gizen to jiko gisei sore ga bigaku ka? (Rias is shown in front of the ORC Clubhouse before she turns around fully and then begins to walk forward)
honne o kakushita koduku na PIERO (The camera cuts to Akeno in her miko outfit at her shrine, her eyes closed before she opens them in a serious expression)
kyou mo kimi wa Poker face (Asia is shown in a church praying before she turns around to the light. The next image shows Kiba leaning his back against a wall, head down and eyes closed, with the spirits of his dead comrades surrounding him in comfort)
kamen hazushite saa kocchi ni kite (The Gremory rune is shown before the background turns black. Rias appears amidst the flames of the Burning Hells soon afterwards with the rune still present)
arinomama no kimi shiritaikara (Aidan's left arm, from his Sacred Gear that was holding Silentium, is corrupted as he activates his Balance Breaker, making him scream into the air as the shadow of Diablo appears above and behind him)
kagayaki ni tsutsumare yasashii kaze ga fuku (Rossweisse, fires a powerful blast of lightning from on high at a group of flying Demons. Xenovia was on the ground as she slams Durandal to the ground, creating a massive quake that topples the incoming Demons in front of her)
sonna sekai o misetakute chikai o koeta (Kiba charges across the rooftops with Sword of Betrayer in hand. The camera follows him where he was charging towards the towering Belial, Lord of Lies. He jumps up to dodge a blast from the Demon Lord before spinning in the air and cutting off one of Belial's horns)
arata ni kizamareru kibou e no ayumi o (Koneko is seen next running across the rooftops as the camera follows her, charging at Azmodan, the Lord of Sin. She lands roughly on one roof before jumping upwards, dodging Azmodan's attack before she runs across the Demon's left arm and delivers a swift kick to his head)
tsugi no PEEJI ni kakishirushi (Rias fires a powerful blast from her Power of Destruction, only to be caught in a blast herself by Azmodan, sending her flying away)
ugokidashita jikan wa New age (Rias is caught by Aidan who smiles at her to which she returns. Then the two lean in for a romantic kiss as they are enveloped in a red power, their clothes also dissipating in the process)
(Aidan is shown in his Balance Breaker, Primal Terror Vengeance, starting at the back as the camera steadily turns around to show him until the last shot shows his left demonic eye. Between each frame, quick-time images appear; the first one being Venalana Gremory, Lilith, and the angel Aurelia in her mortal guise but with her back facing the camera, the second Sirzechs and Grayfia, the third being the Student Council led by Sona Sitri, the fourth being Loki and Diodora Astaroth back to back, and finally the last one showing Sinestra as the Angiris Apostle with the Angiris Council members looking over her, including Tyrael as the Archangel of Justice and Malthael as the Archangel of Wisdom)
(The final image shows Aidan looking to his right at Sinestra in the air, ready to take part in the Eternal Conflict)
"To think that a mere fraction of my chi was all I needed to send for you to come to me," Kuroka said in a sedative voice, laying on her stomach upon a tree branch as she smiles down on her sister. "I'm glad to know you can still feel our sisterly bond."
Koneko attempts to remain firm despite the fact that she was now face to face with her sister, whom she had not seen nor heard in years.
"What do you want?" She asked in an angered tone. "My time is precious, so spill it."
"There is no need to be rude, little sis. I just heard it through the grapevine that a big party was going down. It caught my interest, but you know what they say about curiosity and cats." Kuroka waves her hand like a cat and winks.
Meanwhile, farther away from the two of them in the forest, Rias and Aidan run, seeking out Koneko. The former follows the latter as he uses his enhanced senses to feel for Koneko's power and presence.
"What do you mean Koneko's sister is here?" Rias asked in shock to her boyfriend.
"I can already sense two of them," Aidan explains, his eyes steely as he keeps running forward. "I recognize Koneko's presence but the other one is just like hers yet stronger. Which means the other cat must be…"
"Kuroka!" Rias realized. "Koneko's older sister!"
Once the two rally over to Koneko's location, they lie in wait behind the bushes, watching events play out and sticking to the shadows of the trees. Aidan glares up at Kuroka as the two Nekomata talked to each other. Kuroka's appearance as gorgeous served only as a deception since she was an enemy. If she ever took a single action against Koneko, Aidan would have no choice but to eliminate her, even if Koneko would plead for him not to due to the black cat being her big sister.
"What are you doing here, Onee-sama?" asked Koneko.
"Seriously? I came back for you, Shirone," Kuroka told her. "When things went south, I had no choice but to drop everything and run. I couldn't take you with me. And I have good reason as to why I did what I did."
However, Aidan's instincts were telling her that something was wrong. And he would be proven correct as he felt that Kuroka wasn't alone.
"Heyo~ kitty cat!"
Aidan's eyes glared as he saw Bikou, Vali's comrade who came to retrieve him after the peace treaty was signed.
"The Khaos Brigade," Rias whispered with a frown, crossing her arms across her chest.
With a slightly annoyed expression, Kuroka went from laying on the branch to sitting up, looking at her compatriot.
"What is it, Bikou?" She asked.
"Two rats are veiled in the shadows. You can perceive them, yes?" asked Bikou. Rias was a little shocked to see that Bikou figured them out. Aidan however wasn't surprised. "With our mastery over sage arts, we can easily detect interlopers by the mere flow of their chi."
Aidan and Rias look at each other. Knwoing that their cover is blown, they both emerge out of hiding. Koneko turns her head to and sees them in shock.
"Buchou, you're here?" She asked. "And senpai?"
"Kuroka…" Rias called out with her arms crossed as she and Aidan walk up to Koneko. "Koneko is a member of my household, and the Gremory Family always looks out for our own servants."
"Your household?" Kuroka asked in amusement before she looks down with a smirk. "Like that matters. She and I are sisters by blood, first and foremost. And I am not going to give her to you just because you claim it."
Aidan sharpens his eyes onto Kuroka. "Brave words. I'll be sure to put them on your tombstone once I've buried you six feet under."
Irked by his remark to her, Kuroka asks her companion, "Who is he?" She points to Aidan.
"That is the nephalem everyone has been speaking about," Bikou said. "The one whom Sinestra fought."
"Oh really? So this is the guy that the Khaos Brigade wants dead," Kuroka said, impressed as she looked up and down at Aidan's figure. "Quite the handsome man he is."
Ignoring her charms, Aidan asks Bikou, "Tell me. Where is Sinestra? Or has Vali heard nothing from her since what has happened as of late?"
Bikou however had a visible look of contempt and gave a warning. "Vali told me everything. That betrayer will get what is coming to her and those she works for."
"So, Vali told you, huh?" Aidan deduced. "Well, that settles that."
Kuroka soon looked at Aidan with a predatory gaze. "I like him. So gentleman-like for a nephalem. Tell me, do you intend to make the two of us your opponents? I'd like to see you try."
"I still don't get what you want," said Koneko, staring at her sister.
"I wanted to invite you to join Ophis, Vali, and me," Kuroka said, looking down at her sister. "After all, cutie pie, as my baby sister, you have the killer power in your blood."
Aidan soon steps in front of Koneko, surprising the Rook. "Sorry, but you're not taking her anywhere," He said with a determined glare. "She's one of us. Our friend and family. I'll give you one last chance to leave peacefully and never return or I'll feed your corpses to the forest creatures."
To his annoyance and anger, Kuroka and Bikou could only laugh. Aware they will not listen, he decides to let his dark power resonate from his Sacred Gear, allowing his black arm to turn corrupted as the Al'Diabolos Terror Claws appear.
"How very brave of you," Bikou said through his laughter. "But do you really intend to make me and Kuroka your opponent?"
"You misunderstand," said Aidan, getting the two's attention before his eyes turn red. "It wasn't a threat."
*SHIIING*
Without warning to either of them, Aidan unleashes a powerful red hose lightning at them. The Chinese armored Youkai barely had enough time to dodge the sudden and dangerous attack, just barely grazing his armor. The lightning hit the branch that Kuroka was on, surprising her but because of her cat-like nature, she leaps off of the broken branch and lands back on the ground.
All looked at the damage that Aidan caused. But that was just barely a tenth of his true power and what he was capable.
"You've had your chance," Aidan said.
Kuroka snapped out of her shocked, turned to Aidan, and smirked. "I guess we'll just have to take her from you the old fashioned way then."
"That was amazing! I can see why Sinestra was obsessed with fighting you," Bikou smirked before pointing his staff at the Devils. Like Vali, Bikou loved to fight but unlike Sinestra, he doesn't do it for ulterior motives. "This ought to be interesting, fighting a nephalem."
Rias' shocked expression turned to a questioning look and demanded, "You should leave before you get hurt. If you know Aidan, he is not merciful to those he deems as enemies."
"We decided to kill two birds with one stone, as the saying goes and thus lured your female friend out here. Vali asked us to escort a certain VIP to your quaint diplomatic meeting."
"Apparently he had a couple of issues with tonight's get together," Kuroka chuckled.
But that is when Aidan realized, "No…"
Meanwhile, back at the party, Akeno stood far away from the table the rest of her friends were at. She was rather enjoying herself, yet she noticed that someone was missing. Or rather, a few people were. She hasn't seen Aidan, or Rias as of late. Either they were alone in private for a romantic moment with one another or something was wrong. Whatever the case, Akeno couldn't shake off that bad feeling lingering in her stomach.
Seking answers, she returns to her friends and asks, "Hey, have any of you seen Aidan?"
"I haven't seen him in a while," Asia responded. "I wonder where he is?"
"Now that you mention it, Asia, Rias seems to be missing as well," said Xenovia.
"Ah, he is here," said Azazel, grabbing Akeno's attention. The pair soon saw what appeared to be an elderly man dressed in fine robes, with one eye missing. Behind him was his bodyguard, a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, complete with long straight silver hair and aqua-colored eyes who appeared to be in her late teens. She wore a simple business suit and skirt.
"It's an honor to have you here, Odin," Sirzechs said, bowing before the King of Asgard. Despite his status as an Ultimate-class Devil and a Satan, Sirzechs wanted to show an extra amount of respect, especially to Odin.
"The honor is ours, Sirzechs," Odin said. "Let me personally thank you for the invitation."
Serafall suddenly appeared before the Allfather and bows, "Lord Odin, you honor us with your visit in these uncertain times."
"Yes, but I expected more from you, Leviathan," Odin said, stroking his beard. This confused Serafall though as she straightens her back. "A pretty young thing such as yourself shouldn't be in drab clothing like that."
Everyone looked at Odin with raised eyebrows, questioning his intent on Serafall's look. However, the Satan in question looked down at her dress and for some reason, figured that Odin was right.
"Good point," She said. "Mirirun mirumiru spiral~!"
Suddenly as she chants some sort of spell, her clothes glow brightly before her outfit turns into her magic-girl outfit, posing in the process.
A few feet away, Sona tries to hide her face in embarrassment.
Odin however looked intrigued by the outfit, deeming it sexy and cute. "Oh my, what have we here?"
"Have you been living in a cave or something?" Serafall asked, still holding the pose, and still smiling. "This is a magical girl outfit. They're the new thing nowadays."
"Lovely," said the Allfather, stroking his beard. "How would you like to stroke my beard then?"
His bodyguard however was not having it with his revealing perverted nature. "Please keep in mind why we made this voyage, milord. You're here representing Valhalla," She scolded.
Odin sighs, "Must you always be the downer in the room? It's that kind of attitude that is preventing you from getting a man for yourself."
The silver-haired woman looked offended at first before it turned into one of depression. Suddenly, she bursts comically into tears and falls to her knees. "I may be an ugly Valkyrie who's never had a man, but at least I won't die alone, what with living in the Underworld!"
Her comical crying was heard by everyone in the room who looked at her with wide eyes. The Valkyrie, as stated in Norse Mythology, were some of the greatest female warriors in all of Asgard, serving the Allfather dutifully without question with valor and honor. But this woman was the exact opposite of that. Talk about role reversal.
"Sorry about her," Odin apologizes as the bodyguard wipes her tears away. "This ball of neuroses is named Rossweise. My highly capable but depressing assistant. That is why she cannot find a man."
Just then, Michael and his angels walk into the room.
"Allow me to apologize for keeping you waiting, Odin, Highfather of Asgard," Michael greets.
As Xenovia and the others of Rias' Peerage were watching from the table, Xenovia gasps when she saw a certain friend with Michael. Along their master.
"Irina! Master!" Xenovia called out.
Standing with Tyrael who retained his mortal form, Irina looked at Xenovia and gave her a wave.
"Did she and Tyrael come as part of Michael's entourage?" Akeno asked.
"Who'd have figured we'd run into her here in the Underworld?" Asia said.
Sirzechs soon steps forward on stage to commence his speech and commemorate the celebration. Everyone's attention is gathered onto the Satan himself.
"Fellow Devils, Gods, and Fallen Angels of the Grigori. I thank you all for coming here in these times of uncertainty. For many years have the hostilities between our races endured. Blood has been shed, enough or all of us to look back and see how far we have come and also how foolish we have been in the process. Due to recent events, I am here to confirm to you all of the one thing we have feared most: The Burning Hells have returned."
Murmurs and whispers from the crowd were audible as everyone turned to one another, confirming if it was really true. Turns out that even the gods are aware of the existence of the Burning Hells. And the threat of the Demons that pose unto them.
"We come together here now in face of this common enemy who have returned once more to sow terror, hatred, and destroy all that we love. In the process, the Khaos Brigade, the organization that seeks to prevent the alliance of all in the wake of this crisis, have also begun their move. Hell has come to these shores and threaten our way of life. With this alliance between the Three Factions and the various mythologies, we will bring a greater unity in our fight against this evil. To defend Sanctuary and its children from all threats. Starting today, the forces of Valhalla and Asgard are forever allies to us all."
Odin, approaching to Sirzechs' side, turns to him, with the Satan doing the same. They both reach out a hand to shake, as if symbolizing the unity.
"Let it be done," Odin said.
"Objection!"
A new voice then approached startled the crowd and they looked around to see where it was coming from. Odin however frowned and looked over his shoulder before grumbling.
"I'm surprised he waited this long," He muttered. "That arrogant fool."
A magical circle appeared and out of it came a handsome man with eyes like a delinquent. He had light blue hair that floated behind him with two small bangs. He also had a blue jewel on his forehead and yellow earrings. He was wearing a robe similar to Odin's except with slightly different ornate markings and was white.
"I am Loki, Prince of Asgard, Odinson, the Norse God of Mischief," Loki announced with a smirk. "My greetings."
Sirzechs glares at the God of Mischief, disappointed in how the trickster doesn't seem to fully comprehend the situation they are all in and the purpose of this summit.
"Lord Loki, you may be the God of Mischief, but that gives you no right to cause problems here," He told him.
"Seeing as how Odin, the Allfather, would mingle with lesser mythologies causes me to suffer indescribable torment, Sirzechs!" said Loki.
Rossweise places her arm in front of Odin to protect the Allfather, but Odin motioned for her to let him handle it.
"Leave, Loki," Odin demanded as Devil guards rush out to stand against the God of Mischief. "If you return to Asgard immediately, I will forgive you for this public affront."
Loki, however, looked amused. "Really? You can shove your forgiveness aside!"
"Oh great, another man without manners!" Rossweisse said, ready for battle.
"If he chooses to sign an alliance with the other mythologies, it would be incredibly difficult for me to set Ragnarök in motion!" Loki said.
"The lyrics are different, but the song sounds the same," Azazel grumbled.
Odin continues glaring at Loki. "Loki, long have I ignored your mischief and allowed you pardon. But I will not allow you to interrupt this meeting at this crucial moment, especially with the Burning Hells right on our doorstep. Would you allow all the Nine Realms to fall to the Demons just because of your desire for Ragnarök?"
"Anything that will allow me to commence Ragnarök is an act worth taking," Loki said before summoning forth a magic circle. "And if words will not dissuade you, only one thing will!"
Suddenly a blue flash of light bursts out and out of nowhere, serpentine figures jumped out and killed all of the guards.
Screams were heard next as some members of the crowd were being stabbed from behind by other members. This caught everyone totally off-guard but that is when their eyes glowed green and they revealed their true disguise in a burst of dark magic.
When they were shown in the light, they looked like humanoid snakes with sharp teeth and fangs, armored from head to toe. They wore a large helmet that covered everything but their jaws, yet they were still able to see. All of them carried a two-pronged spear. Their tails rattle like rattlesnakes, as was the sound coming off of them.
While it may seemed like these snake creatures were Loki's personal minions, the truth was far more alarming. They were in fact Demons.
"Deceivers!" Sirzechs saw.
These serpentine demons are Belial's favored servants, and he has granted them some of his skill in cunning and illusion. Deceivers will cloak themselves in the familiar forms of their enemy's companions and friends, waiting to strike when the moment is opportune. It is only then that their true forms are revealed.
But how or why Loki had them in his possession was an entire unknown.
Everyone in the room was shocked, except for Odin and Sirzechs who merely grit their teeth, realizing that once more, they had been played at by the Demons.
"Demons?!" Sona was absolutely shocked. "But how is this possible?"
"Loki…" A shocked Rossweisse saw. "You would conspire with the Demons of the Burning Hells? Have you gone mad?!"
"They are the only ones that would help me to let Ragnarök happen," Loki said with his smirk still up. "And if you are still intending to mingle with these lesser beings, then so be it. I declare for Belial, the Lord of Lies, as ruler of the Burning Hells and the Underworld!"
And with his true allegiance made clear before all, Loki unleashes Hell unto all those in his sights.
BACK IN THE FOREST…
Rias turns her head around with wide eyes of shock, realizing the deception.
"Something's gone wrong! The council's under attack!" She exclaimed.
Aidan grits his teeth, realizing that he had been had. Koneko was just the diversion to lure him away. Without the nephalem at the party, the Devils and the guests are rendered defenseless. He had to give props for Kuroka to set up this devious plot, but it made him all the more irritated.
Kuroka makes a small giggle as Aidan, Koneko, and Rias could feel a shift in the area. They were surrounded by gray clouds and fog that soon covered the land.
"You like it?" She asked mockingly with a hand on her hip. "It's a little barrier I put on the forest to keep us all trapped together for a bit."
Bikou spins his staff over his head.
"Okay, nephalem…" The staff extends and the monkey Yokai slams his pole to where the nephalem and the Devils stood.
*SHIING*
Aidan conjures his Armiger as his swords block Bikou's strike in a piercing formation, protecting the girls.
"Show me your power!" said the monkey Youkai as he disarms the Armiger with his staff in a spin. He goes for another strike, only for Aidan to summon the Warglaive Furies to block his strike. Breaking Bikou off of him with a show of strength, Aidan turns his attention to Kuroka and fires another Red Hose Lightning blast at the black cat. Rias in turn fires bolts of her Power of Destruction at Kuroka.
But just then, Kuroka's body glows blue for a second and blocks the attack.
Cursing to himself, Aidan narrows his eyes, seeing as to how he is at a massive disadvantage. With Rias and Koneko, he could not concentrate on two members of the Khaos Brigade at once. Before he could think though, a voice from overhead interrupts him.
"Mind if this old man joins you, nephalem?" The male booming voice asked.
"Tannin!" Aidan recognized it.
"I felt your presence nearby and figured something was up. Looks like you still have a lot to learn if you are ever going to live up to your reputation as a nephalem. And in the meantime, you attract all manners of trouble, huh?"
"The previous Dragon King?" Bikou exclaimed with a grin, looking up at the sky. "Now you've got my attention."
"Go on ahead, monkey. You know you wanna," Kuroka encouraged as she stares at the beast.
"Flying Nimbus!" Bikou summons a small grey cloud underneath his feet and takes off into the sky to fight Tannin. But Tannin, a dragon who has a few centuries of battle experience and training, easily dodges his attacks thrown at him by the Yokai, who was using his extended staff. Although Tannin fights back with such fury and ferocity, Bikou seemed to have taken it all in stride, laughing with excitement despite the close encounters of Tannin's fire.
But Tannin was holding back, for he definitely had enough power to snuff the life out of the primate instantly. He seemed to want to enjoy fighting the young monkey before incinerating him. Either that, or he was buying time for Aidan.
But either way, with Bikou distracted, it allowed Aidan to turn his full attention to Kuroka, who gave a bewildered smile on her face with a dark and ominous aura permeating from her whole body. Her intent to kill was clearly shown as was her intent to retrieve Koneko no matter the cost.
"Looks like the Monkey King and the Dragon King will keep each other occupied for now," said the black cat before turning her attention to the nephalem with a predatory gaze. "I won't ask you again, nephalem. Hand my baby sister to me and I will be out of your way."
"Not a chance," Aidan replied as he prepares his Warglaive Furies. "She stays here."
"Pity then," Kuroka said.
Tannin looks down below and tells the nephalem, "Nephalem, if you truly live up to your name, then show that pussycat why your kind are feared by even the High Heavens themselves!"
Aidan nods as he steps forward, allowing the influence and power of the Prime Evils to course through him via the corruption. Rias was at a crossroads in what to do, seeing what her beloved was doing to his power. Considering her situation with Koneko, she didn't want to fight Kuroka in front of her Rook, fearing that Aidan may do more than just leave her with a bruise.
"Stop!" Koneko suddenly blurted out. She gains her sister's attention, along with Aidan and Rias'. "It's okay, I'll come with you."
"No, Koneko!" Aidan denied.
"You don't get to decide that." Rias agreed with a frown.
But Koneko shook her head as her body began to shake. "My sister is too strong. I know what she can do better than anyone. And I don't want to lose senpai again."
Rias soon brings her arms around Koneko and hugs her from behind. "Don't worry. Aidan will fight to protect you with everything he has."
This made Koneko gasp in shock as she looks at Aidan's back, his focus on her sister.
Kuroka scoffs with a smirk. "Oh please. I understand Shirone's true potential better than you ever could. Now come back, little sister. And I will show you how to unlock the true power within."
Koneko then started to cry. "No, I don't need that power. Not ever! I don't want my strength to come from other people's pain."
Aidan then speaks to Kuroka. "You are a fool, Kuroka. Both as a nekomata and as an older sister to Shirone." Kuroka looks at him with raised eyebrows, a bit surprised that the nephalem used Koneko's real name. "You may have had a good reason for leaving her, whatever the case, but an older sibling always looks out for those they love and protects them no matter the cost. Considering your role today, you lost that right to ask her to come back or to even call yourself a sister if you don't even love her. You are nothing but a shameful failure to your race and to your family. Pitiful."
Kuroka's smirk was lost as she glares back at the nephalem, insulted at her pride being struck.
Despite his dark and cold tone to Kuroka, Rias was surprised for a moment as she holds her Rook in her arms gently.
"He is right, Kuroka," She said as she glares at the black cat. "Do you not understand how much you hurt your sister when you chose to drown in your own power, and leave her behind? When you ran away after murdering your master, this brave girl saw hell. When I first met her, having feelings was a luxury she couldn't afford. Koneko had been abandoned by you, betrayed by the one person she thought she could trust. And when the other Devils despised her, tried with all of their might to bully her into leaving, she was completely alone! Like what Aidan said, you've lost the right to call yourself her older sister nor demand anything from her."
Koneko, touched by Rias' words, began to cry lightly. "Buchou, thank you."
"That's the reason I've always tried to show her the finest things life has to offer," Rias continued saying to Kuroka.
Now touched by her words, Koneko declares this. "I'm going to stay. So leave, Onee-sama. I don't want to go with you, alright? My name is Koneko Toujou. I'm choosing to live my life with my master. And that's final!"
And with that, she declared her sibling relationship with Kuroka an end, the final thread cut from her. After hearing all that, silence roams in the air except for the sounds of Bikou and Tannin fighting.
Kuroka had a brief showing of a bitter smile.
"It seems she decided to stay on as my Rook, where she's loved," Rias said. "Because we treasure family in my house. And I will never allow you to lay so much as a finger on her."
Kuroka kept up her smile but Aidan could see in her eyes that she was in pain and hurting at the fleeing moment when she heard Koneko's decision. It was like a knife carving a deep wound into her chest.
"…So be it," Kuroka said.
Kuroka holds up a finger and starts tracing out kanji symbols in black before a thin mist-like veil springs up from her. It reaches the trio and covers the forest. One sniff of it was enough for Aidan to realize what it was.
"It's poison!" He realized.
He turns around to see Koneko and Rias cover their mouths, but it was too late as both fell to their knees, weakened by the purple mist.
"Kuroka, what have you done?" Aidan asked regarding Rias and Koneko immobilized.
"My magic is wicked effective against Devils and Spirits and such. Unfortunately, it seems to not work on nephalem though," Kuroka said with a smirk as she catches Aidan's glare. "Don't worry, I've watered down the poison, so they won't be killed anytime soon, plus it's a lot more fun to watch them die slowly."
Growling, Aidan conjures in his right hand a Bone Prison around Kuroka. Six giant bones spring out underneath her and entrap her. And just after she was distracted from her makeshift prison…
*SHABAM*
Kuroka is blasted by a Red Lightning Hose blast directly from Aidan, breaking her prison and sending her against a tree. A dazed Kuroka looks to see a dark and red aura surrounding Aidan, eyes turning demonic red in the process.
"You just made a grave mistake…" Aidan declared as he preps his Warglaive Furies.
Screams were heard from the guests who were cut down by the Deceivers. The floor was soaked with blood and littered with the dead bodies of Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angel guards that tried to fight back against the Demons but to no avail. Without proper training despite the knowledge of their existence and no experience of fighting them during the Great War, the guards were quickly overwhelmed. Guests were being evacuated but the process was slow as everyone was so desperate to escape the bloodbath. As such, they crowded and huddled together recklessly, which made only their demise that much quicker.
"Stay back!" Serafall shouts as she uses her magic to conjure a barrier to repel the Deceiver's blades. But it wasn't just Deceivers but also some Serpent Magi who use their magic to strike at the Leviathan Satan.
Serafall struggles to maintain her hold to shield the guests as the Demons bear down on her. Luckily for her, Ajuka Beelzebub arrives to assist as he uses his magic to fire a powerful beam that instantly wipes them away, giving Serafall room to breathe.
"I have more where that came from," Loki taunts as he snaps his fingers. Instantly, more Deceivers and Serpent Magi appear. They then turn their attention to the to the young Devils in the room.
"Everyone, get ready!" Sona shouted as she shoots out a Water Serpent at one of the Deceivers who charged at her.
The Deceiver brushes away the attack with its spear and attempts to stab at Sona, only for the Sitri heir to jump out of the way. But before she could counter, she was flung away from a powerful bolt of lightning from one of the Serpent Magi from her blind spot.
Sona lands hard on the ground before the same Deceiver rattles up to her, ready to thrust her with the spear.
*CLASH*
Thanks to Tsubaki's naginata and Kiba's Sword of Betrayer, they block the attack, with both the Queen and Knight struggling against the Demon's immeasurable strength.
Suddenly, the tongue of Saji's Sacred Gear wraps around the Deceiver's neck, making him pull it back. He soon pulls it hard enough for the creature to come flying at him before…
*POW*
Issei, in his Scale Mail armor, delivers a punch to the Deceiver, sending it flying against the Serpent Magi. Issei lands before he is soon bashed away by another Deceiver, coming from his blind spot.
*BAM*
"Gaah!" He crashes into a wall and his head was spinning before he shakes it off. He was then met by another Deceiver encroaching right in front of him, ready to impale him.
*BSSH*
Suddenly, the Deceiver erupts into flames and is burned to ash. Issei is surprised to see that it was none other than Ravel Phenex who was using her own Hell Fire magic. She then rushes over to the downed Red Dragon Emperor, getting on her knees.
"Issei-sama!" Ravel cried. "Are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah… thanks," Issei sits up with Ravel helping, but his expression was less than thrilling. "Shit! If only I was able to gain more power, we can kick this guy's ass and his Demons!"
That was when an idea suddenly popped into Ravel's head. Aware of the reputation of the Red Dragon Emperor and of Issei's perverted nature, a heavy red blush appears on her face. She was embarrassed, if not scared to try this new technique, as her very pride was now lying on the line.
But she wanted to help Issei in any way she can. Truth is, this was the man whom she had a crush on. While certainly not the same man who defeated her older brother, it was the same man who, according to accounts, managed to stand his ground against a deranged Aidan when he went mad in order to save her brother from being killed. The stories she heard about the Red Dragon Emperor later on during his tenure were a bit exaggerated if not appalling due to his lecherous nature, but Ravel soon came to admire Issei for his heart.
"U-Um…" Ravel spoke bashfully while turning her head away. "I-If you want, Issei-sama… you, you can… you can grope my breasts."
That totally caught Issei off-guard as he looks at Ravel. "…What?"
"I-I heard that in order to exponentiate your power, you grope the breasts of women. And from that desire, your power grows. Or… do you not find me attractive enough?"
"No no, No no no!" Issei said frantically. "I think you're cute, but groping you right now in the middle of a battlefield? Are you kidding me?"
"If you want to protect everyone whom you care for, then do it," Ravel implored. "If you don't feel you can shoulder that responsibility by yourself, then I'll carry it with you." This surprises Issei as he looks at the young Phenex as she looks away bashfully. "Or…am I not good enough?"
If this were not a battlefield, he would have gotten a nosebleed right about now. The temptation to just grope her breast ran through Issei's mind like wildfire. Though his perverted side said yes, his other side of a kind and caring high school boy said no. He didn't want to do this sort of thing in front of everyone, in the middle of a fight with Demons no less. Hell, he wondered what would happen if someone like him groped the breasts of the youngest member of the Phenex Family and her family heard of this. The thought of it would send shivers down his spine like crazy.
But time was of the essence. Issei wanted to be stronger. Strong enough to not be held back by everyone else and please his master Sona. Strong enough to rival Aidan, his Pawn rival and friend. Most of all, so that he may one day achieve the eventuality of his dream of being a harem king.
"A-Alright…" Issei hesitantly said as he reaches out with his right hand and gently caresses Ravel's right breast. It felt soft despite being covered up by her dress. By his estimation, Issei could only guess that they were about 85 cm for a bust size. Heck, this was the first time he even groped the breast of the opposite sex.
And it felt good. Already, he could feel his internal desire to grope her more skyrocket slowly. And with that, his power grows.
"Agh… Ngh…Issei-sama…" Ravel starts letting off some small moans. She didn't want to admit it, but she was kind of feeling erotic to the touch of it. And after only a few moments, "Ah.. Aaahh… AAAAAAHHHHH!"
*FWOOM*
A sudden red light shines onto Issei, enveloping him for a brief moment before he finally emerges into a Scale Mail armor of his Boosted Gear. With his left fist raised in the air, the green jewel embedded in the Boosted Gear glows bright.
[Welsh Dragon! BALANCE BREAKER!]
"Balance Breaker! Boosted Gear Scale-Mail!" The light show soon stopped, leaving Issei in his dragon armor. Two massive dragon wings sprout from his back, allowing him to take flight into the air.
[You've finally mastered your Balance Breaker. Congratulations! Or at least that is what I should be saying despite what you just did to poor missy Phenex there.]
Ravel looks at Issei in his new Balance Breaker, amazed at how her gamble had paid off. While she still couldn't fully appreciate Issei's perverseness, he at least now has a massive boost of power, enough to achieve a Balance Breaker.
The Red Dragon Emperor turns to a blushing Ravel and says, "Thank you, Ravel. I'll be sure to repay you kindly for this."
"O-Oh, yeah…" Ravel shyly looks away, her face blushing brighter as she appreciates the compliment.
"Alright!" He said. "Let's do this!"
Issei soon clenches his left fist, building up what appeared to be a concentrated buildup of power. It looked tiny though, hardly anything worth taking note of to the naked eye.
However, this was in actuality one of his signature moves. But now, thanks to rubbing Ravel's breasts, his power became enhanced and increased. And with all those Demons rushing towards him, this was the perfect time for him to test it.
"Dragon Shot Neo Bust Burst!"
*FWOOM*
In an instant, a massive arc of red light comes flying out of Issei's fist as he lands out a punch in the air. All the Demons rushing towards him were all but annihilated, burning their skin and turning them to ash thanks to Ravel's power that was a part of the enhancement.
A charred path of black destruction was all that was left. Such was the power of the Red Dragon of Domination.
*SLASH*
Xenovia comes in from on high and slices down two knocked out Deceivers with Durandal, killing them instantly. She catches her breath for only a brief moment before.
*BAM*
Xenovia is then thrusted aside from another Deceiver who emerged out of its illusionary magic, clashing its spear against her sword.
Soon the Phenex Maids, Tyrael, and the rest of Sona's and Rias' peerages tried to fight back against the Demons, but their numbers were endless, and their illusion magic made it all the more difficult. At this point, they might be joining with the rest of the slaughtered guests and Demons. Because they were caught off guard, they were on the defensive.
One Deceiver sets its sights onto Asia, slithering so quickly towards her. But no longer intent to hide away and rely solely on healing, Asia brings out An'Naresh, the Braid of Yearning, and grabs the Deceiver before tightening it. The runes on her braid glow as the Demon is engulfed in holy flames, turning to ash.
Asia was about to be ambushed from behind by a Serpent Magi who was about to fire a lightning bolt at her.
*ZAP*
But just then, Akeno's lightning saves Asia, killing the Serpent Magi and frying it to a crisp. Akeno unleashes more lightning, making the Deceivers dodge and distracted as Tyrael moves in to cut them down with El'druin.
*BAM*
Akeno was sent flying from her position by an incoming Deceiver and was sent into a pillar. She groans in pain only for less than a millisecond before gasping. The Deceiver came rushing at her ready to impale her and was about to do so when suddenly…
*BOOM*
A light spear suddenly emerged that struck the Deceiver, making it roar before more impaled it. That Deceiver then exploded; its vile blood sent everywhere as Akeno covers herself.
Once Akeno looks to see who her savior was, she was surprised to find Azazel standing in front of her with light spears at the ready. He was facing the rest of the Deceivers. It could just have been her but in that brief moment, Akeno saw an image of her father resonate in Azazel.
"Get up, Akeno!" Azazel implored to the girl behind her. Akeno, shaking off her brief vision, does so as she stands with her lightning at the ready.
The Deceivers growl as Loki looked amused.
"My exemplary servants, finish them!" Loki motions his right hand for the Deceivers to charge at Akeno and Azazel, before the two counter with their lightning.
*SHIING*
Suddenly, all the Deceivers and Serpent Magi were halted by a green barrier, stopping their attacks, and were now trapped in some sort of barrier that bore one of the Satan's symbols on the Devil King Magic Circles.
The Deceiver that was about to attack Kiba when he was defending Tsubaki on the floor, battered from the attack. The two traded blows when they were stopped by the same barrier, trapping the Demon.
The Serpent Magi engaging the Phenex Maids and Tyrael also froze in place
Loki gasped when he saw the Deceivers and Serpent Magi, but then saw that he himself was trapped inside that same barrier as well. Looking over to see who it was that cast it, it was Ajuka Beelzebub, his hands glowing with magic.
"That's quite enough," He said in a firm but peaceful tone.
"Ajuka!?" yelled Loki.
"It's time for you to have a timeout," Ajuka declared as he finishes his spell making the barriers disappear and taking their occupants with them, Loki included. "That will keep him trapped for a while."
The battle in the hall was over while another one remained off site.
BACK AT THE FOREST…
Aidan charges right into Kuroka with the Warglaive Furies, faster than Kurka could see. He zooms past her after he made a clean cut across Kuroka's stomach. However, after he made the cut, Kuroka's body vanished into smoke.
'A decoy? No. She merely shifted her essence somewhere else.'
"That was a good attack. I could almost feel that." Kuroka praises from within the forest as her voice echoes from the darkness. "But still useless."
Just then, multiple silhouettes of Kuroka were appearing from within the mist. Every single one looked real and Aidan couldn't exactly tell them apart by their aura alone.
"…If you can't read the flow of the spirit, you can't deal with genjutsu used by skilled practitioners," Koneko said while on all fours, still in pain.
With that in mind, Aidan knew then what to do. Looking at his left arm, he saw the corruption grow darker in color. The Sacred Gear was already entering into an ambiguous state in that he has reached a crossroad. One more push and all it takes is activation of his Balance Breaker. But whether that means he would lose control again is unknown.
Was it a risk worth taking if it meant sacrificing a part of his own lifeforce, or even his humanity to allow the Demon Lords control? That he did not know. A painful conflicted expression burned onto him.
"How lame," Kuroka said with a smirk of glee. "To think the mighty nephalem will die without ever activating his Sacred Gear. He doesn't have what it takes."
One of the Kuroka clones conjures a ball of pure blue flaming energy and hurls it at the immobilized Rias and Koneko.
*BAM*
"AAGGH!" Aidan appeared and took the brunt head on when he jumped in front of them to protect them. But even so, he stood on his own two feet despite the burn. To be honest, that felt more like a tickle compared to Imperius' Spear of Valor when he was stabbed with it and burned from within.
Aidan, after a quick recovery, readies himself for Kuroka as the black cat smirks slightly. She knew the nephalem to be strong and suited for close combat but did not think his stamina was this strong to the point he was able to shrug off a powerful attack. She narrows her hazel eyes on the nephalem's position. The powerful aura of his power that his body was releasing made her feel a little hot, making her lick her lips before taking a step forward.
Suddenly, she launches herself forwards towards Aidan. Aidan did not bother to dodge, thinking his physique and stamina would be enough. But that was an oversight on his part.
*POW*
Aidan was kicked in the face by Kuroka, sending him crashing through a few trees a few feet away, going through them like butter before they fell.
"Aidan!" Rias and Koneko shout in worry.
"Seems like for all his power, you're not that strong after all. Why Sinestra was so obsessed with you I have no idea. Nor do I understand how you managed to beat her." Kuroka then turns her attention to Rias and Koneko with a smirk. "Now then, it's time to go, Shirone—"
*BAM*
Kuroka is suddenly lopsided as she feels her head grabbed by Aidan from the side and slammed to the ground. She was then dragged and pushed across the ground, creating a large trench. Surprise and shock take over as she struggles against the tight grip.
The cursed nephalem lifts Kuroka up and throws her into the air before unleashing a Terror Blade with Silentium's swing. Kuroka's instincts kick in as her eyes caught onto the red arc of pure demonic energy. She twists her body just enough to avoid the arc before landing gracefully.
However, with the Terror Blade, much of the poisonous mist had been cleared away, irking Kuroka despite the fact that Rias and Koneko were still affected and couldn't move. But Kuroka was more annoyed of the fact that she got sidewinded and was slammed to the ground by Aidan, having not sensed his presence when he suddenly appeared.
His face was bruised slightly as compared to Kuroka's who had dirt and small scratches of blood. A simple kick like that though would not deter the nephalem. Since training with Tannin, he has grown accustomed to such pain that he was able to ignore it. Discarding Silentium and conjuring back up the Warglaive Furies, he prepares himself against the nekomata.
Glaring down at the nekomata with eyes intent on killing her, regardless if she was Koneko's sister by blood, Aidan rushes at Kuroka, taking off from his right foot.
Kuroka was surprised to see how fast the nephalem approached her, and only had a moment to do a split as she ducks under the swings of the warglaives. She attempts to sweep her legs out from under him, only for the nephalem to warp away. Kuroka uses her legs to swing herself around back onto her two feet, crouching like a tiger and launching herself towards Aidan.
She swings her hand at him to claw him with her sharp nails, making Aidan block her strike in a cross fashion before Kuroka goes on the offensive. She launches a fury of slashes at Aidan, making the nephalem back away.
'She's too fast. Not leaving me any room for me to counter.'
Aidan's back hits a tree trunk and he jumps just in time over Kuroka before she had the chance to skewer him. Her hand was embedded in the trunk, making it stuck as she tries to pull out.
Aidan takes his chance to take down the defenseless Kuroka as he rushes in, but one of her clones shows up to defend her, keeping him occupied for now. Kuroka eventually manages to pull her hand out of the tree and charge another sphere of blue energy. Four of her clones join in and follow her lead, summoning their spheres.
*SHING*
After cutting down the clone, Aidan turns to see the black nekomata and her clones ready to attack him with a playful smirk. "Time for you to take a nap," She said as she and the others fire.
But suddenly…
*DIING*
In a very surprising twist of turns, Aidan manages to deflect all five spheres with his Warglaive Furies. All of them are deflected away and explode on impact against the trees. Kuroka gasped in surprise, eyes widening to see how someone like Aidan manage to deflect a powerful attack so easily.
Aidan jumps high into the air and opens up his demonic wings. Then, an Armiger emerges as Aidan directs his phantom swords at Kuroka.
Unbeknownst to him was that the aura he portrayed caused Kuroka to grow lustful for him. If the legends were true to their fullest, then it is possible he could be the perfect mate for her.
Aidan launches his Armiger at Kuroka, sending the blades at Kuroka and destroying the small meadow in a blue fiery explosion. Soon after he lands, the dust cloud clears to show that Kuroka was nowhere to be found. Not only that, but their fight has taken them away from Rias and Koneko.
He couldn't see the nekomata, but he could sense her presence. And she was close.
Right behind him as he felt her hot breath.
Having caught wind, Aidan swings his Warglaives right behind him to take a swipe at the cat, only for her to jump away, landing a few meters and only two steps from the shadows of a tree.
Aidan could see that while Kuroka remained mostly unharmed, her clothes were shredded by the Armiger. There were cuts in her kimono that showed off her sexy legs and large breasts. There were some places that had cuts on her, making Kuroka have somewhat a savage look on her.
Aidan could not help but find her figure to be beautiful. For all her power hungering goals, she does indeed have a beauty to her that many men would fall in love with.
"I was sure that you wouldn't last for more than a minute. You've gone longer than most males," Kuroka said in her seductive voice before giving a playful wink. "I think I'll play with you a little more."
Aidan ignores her seductive attempts and prepares himself. Then the two clash once again, warglaive against claw. Nephalem against nekomata. While the outcome could be obvious to the naked eye as in who is more powerful, it all determines on one's will and training.
A few feet away, Rias and Koneko arrive at the scene after their bodies were rid of the poison. When they arrived, they watched Aidan and Kuroka battle in the forest, the nephalem fighting off the nekomata as she uses her speed to attack him and he countered her, cutting her up a few times. Despite landing a few hits on him, Aidan in turn repaid the favor with cuts on her skin.
Aidan swings his right warglaive at a diagonal strike, which Kuroka holds back with her left. He does it again with his left, which Kuroka holds with her right. Both were now deadlocked, glaring at one another as they struggle against each other's strengths. Kuroka then grins as she starts storing large amounts of power into her palms, charging up a large sphere of energy. Aidan in turn charges a Red Lightning Hose in his warglaives, widening Kuroka's hazel eyes.
The charge builds and builds on both sides until…
*BOOM*
The resulting explosion knocks the two of them far back, both letting out a painful cry. Aidan lands on the ground with a thud while Kuroka's back slams against a tree before landing on the ground in a lump.
"Aidan!" Rias cries out as she runs towards her injured and exhausted beloved, bringing him to a seated position. Aidan's breathing was ragged as his vision wavers. Blood trickles out of his mouth as he clutches his right side with his left arm. "What's wrong!? Are you alright?!" Aidan nods as Koneko looks at her older sister.
Kuroka's pants are heavy and hard as she stands up. Her legs were weak, her clothes were gone, destroyed by the explosion, and leaving her nearly naked with a few scrapes of it covering her nipples and her lower front. Groaning, she stands on her weak legs mentally cursing herself for not having anticipated this outcome.
With a deep breath, she straightens her posture and uses her powers to regain some of her lost energy.
"I have to admit, I'm impressed," Kuroka said. "I can see why Shirone would cling to you. You really to live up to the legends of old." She then chuckles a bit. "But it's not enough."
Aidan tries to stand back on his shaky legs but exhausted as he was, he collapses back to his knees. As he struggles, he contemplates Kuroka's words and realizes she is right. The main reason why he hasn't been able to incapacitate Kuroka or even kill her is because to do so would mean allowing the two Prime Evils control. He was trying to wave off their influence so as to not give in and become a Demon, but it was a challenging mental battle. At this point, he will be defeated.
Koneko then walked in front of him and places her hands on Aidan's shoulders, making him look up at her as she was softly crying.
"Throughout the legends told, nephalem had always put the lives of others before their own, even for those filled with greed in a lust for power." Aidan was surprised by the Rook's words. "It seems my sister follows their lead, the lead of those who are corrupted by the Burning Hells. And while those who followed them were granted untold power, they lost control and became Demons. But you're not like her, senpai. Compared to them, you are something they fear. Something they cannot understand." She then gave Aidan a gentle caring smile, one that melted his heart. "But we're so lucky to have you, so please don't become one of them. Don't given in to the Demons within your Sacred Gear. Continue being our nephalem."
Aidan looked at her with astonished eyes. But that is when he realized it. In all the times he has gained power in the past, he had nearly succumbed to the dark influence of the Prime Evils. But he was also reminded of another power burying deep within him. Something that displayed his true nature as a nephalem, not as one cursed by the Lord of Terror. It was a kind of power that responded to Rias, the love of his life whom he wants nothing more than to have a future with. A kind of power that bestowed upon him by his mother, the Elder Angel Aurelia, and blessed by the Ancients during his trial at Mount Arreat.
It was a power that will make him stand against the grim darkness of the near future. A rising tide that only he and the other nephalem can hold back.
And he was going to defend that future, no matter the cost.
Thanking Koneko affectionately, Aidan kisses her lightly on the head and whispers, "Thank you… Shirone."
Koneko blushes up a storm to herself as Aidan stands and walks up front of them, taking a few steps towards Kuroka.
"Somnus…?" asked a concerned Rias.
"So, back for more?" Kuroka taunts with a smirk.
Aidan's eyes narrowed as he asks, "Kuroka… what you did in the past… was all that really true? Did you really kill your master in a bid for power?"
The sudden question threw everyone off, including Kuroka.
The black-cat woman places a hand on her hip and tries to put up a deceitful smile, "Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answer? It was a small price to pay for power."
But Aidan chuckles if not scoffs. "Come now. You may be devious feline, but you are no liar." This surprised Koneko who was listening in. Kuroka didn't show it, but she was also shocked. "I've seen the way you act when Koneko chose to stay with us. I know the reason why you came was not just for her to join you, but to keep her away from the true threat over the horizon. A threat you faced the day you killed your master and did not tell Koneko about it because she wouldn't understand."
Koneko became further shocked while Kuroka grits her teeth a bit. Visibly, her expression of surprise started to show, as if she knew something she thought no one else knew.
"But it matters not," Aidan concluded. "You will not take Koneko away from us. For the crime of bringing harm to her and to my beloved, Rias, and for making the former cry, let's just say… Not even death can save you from me!"
In that moment, a sudden influx of power bursts within him. The rumbling of thunder startles the girls. Even Tannin and Bikou ceased their fighting to see what was going on. This was no natural storm, blessed ancestors.
*STAB*
Aidan soon stabs Silentium into the ground as he kneels.
His head lowered as if he was bowing. But then suddenly, seven essences appeared above Aidan, giving off an orange and white glow of flame and shadow. To the naked eye, they could be anything but power build ups. But to those that know of the true nature of Aidan's Sacred Gear, the number of seven bears great significance of all of the Burning Hells.
Seven Evils spawned of seven heads. Seven realms birthed from death. Infested, unending, cycles upon cycles.
Those essences soon fused together as one soon strike down onto Aidan, engulfing him in a dark vortex of power in a red and black color. A shockwave occurs that dispels Kuroka's mist and the barrier, shattering it like glass. Aidan struggles like he was standing his ground against a tidal wave but nonetheless remains standing as he feels the dark power course through him.
The voice of Diablo soon encompasses the area for all to hear.
[Lord of Terror! BALANCE BREAKER!]
"Balance Breaker! Primal Terror Vengeance Awakened!" The light stopped, leaving Aidan in his Balance Breaker, but this one seemed more controlled. More tuned. Rather than violent torrents of demonic energy sprouting all over from him, a more controlled energy flow emanated off of him, most likely due to his nephalem blood playing a part. Though it has retained its similar form as before, it emanated a dark power in the form of a black mist and a red glow gleaming from where Aidan's eyes would be, filled with nothing but the primal power of terror.
Then, out of nowhere, the voice of Mephisto spoke to him from within the Sacred Gear.
"At long last, you have finally mastered your Balance Breaker," Mephisto praised, odd for someone like the Lord of Hatred to do to a mortal he despises. "By accepting us and not resisting, we feed you our power. And you become one step closer to your destiny."
Standing still, mainly because of fear now gripping her heart, Kuroka stares at the power displayed off of the nephalem with wide eyes. But her fear is soon replaced with lust, enough for her to make her want him and making her lick her lips.
"Now things are getting interesting," She said. "Now say hello to my mix of sage and demon magic!" Kuroka summons a purple magic circle that was actually in the shape of a hexagon with circles on the corners. And from those spheres, she charges senjutsu balls of pure energy that start moving around to form a ring. "Try this!"
The ring is sent over to Aidan. However…
*SHIING*
Aidan holds up a hand to halt the ring, stopping it just in front of him. Kuroka was surprised, even more so when that ring was sent right back at her. At such speeds that she had no time to react.
*BOOM*
One explosion alter, the dust cloud sweeps away, revealing a badly wounded Kuroka on the ground, naked and bleeding. With hazy eyes, she looks to see Aidan approach her calmly, yet his footsteps were heavy, each thundering the ground as Kuroka felt the full weight of it. By the time his shadow looms over her, fear grips her hard as she was unable to look away from the dark glare behind the nephalem's helmet.
Aidan kneels and gives a threatening warning. "I will say this once: stay away from Shirone, for she belongs to me. Refuse, and I will kill you without hesitation, right in front of your little sister."
Koneko was able to hear Aidan's threatening warning from behind him. Yet instead of feeling a sense of protection and satisfaction from her power crazed sister, she instead felt something, a small knot in her chest at the prospect of Aidan's declaration.
And it made her tremble a bit.
Kuroka grits her teeth as she struggles to stand, getting on one knee and ready to continue fighting. "You…bastard…"
Aidan conjures up his sword Silentium and brings it up, ready to impale her and end her miserable life.
But then, to her surprise before she was even killed, Bikou sweeps in and grabs her.
"What're you doing?" Kuroka angrily asked. "The fight's going on back there-!"
"You've gotten so excited that you lost your perception," He said. "Besides, you don't stand a chance against someone empowered by Demons."
At first, Kuroka was confused, but after a moment she realized what he meant. "Loki's not here," She realized. "Why not?"
"It is because he has been defeated," A new unfamiliar voice spoke up. "Temporarily at least."
Aidan looks to see what appeared to be a young man with black hair and green eyes. He looked Caucasian and was about six feet in height. He wore a black short sleeved shirt with wolf décor, along with blue jeans and gray sneakers. His physique, oddly enough, was eerily similar to Sairaorg's. He carried with him what appeared to be an ulfberht sword, a type of Viking sword used in the 11th century.
Using wind magic to levitate himself, he rallies over to Bikou and Kuroka.
"Julian!" Bikou was a bit surprised. "Vali send you to get us?"
"Something like that," Julian replied. He then opens up a portal above the trio, one used to teleport them away. "This is merely a setback for all of us. We should leave while we can."
Julian then gazes upon the nephalem below him, his eyes meeting his with remote expression. Aidan, for once, never recognized this man for he was not with Vali during the summit between the Three Factions. Perhaps he was an old acquaintance of his?
The mysterious man then looks and sees in the distance, Issei and Ravel. And for some reason, his expression turned one to amusing interest, as he gazed upon the Red Dragon Emperor and the way he achieved his Balance Breaker just by rubbing Ravel's breasts. It was as if he was trying to note his growing power and perversion.
Then his gaze turned onto Aidan, catching the nephalem's eyesight with his before he smirks, similar to Vali's.
"Wanna use your Warg Dire Ulfberht to cover our escape?" Bikou took notice. "I'm sure you'll want to test it out on him."
"Tempting, but I'll pass," Julian said before he whispered something that only his two comrades could hear. "They should not know that I have an artificial Longinus in my possession. At least, not yet anyway."
"A fair point," Kuroka nodded. "I'm tired anyway from fighting. This cat needs her rest."
"Pardon the pun, but we don't have time to monkey around!" Bukou exclaimed back to his opponents as he flew up towards a magic circle. Julian follows after them before it disappears.
Koneko stares at the sky, still feeling confused and emotionally conflicted. Aidan powers down from his Balance Breaker and collapses on one knee, drained of stamina. Rias attends to him, seeing as how controlling his Sacred Gear and warding off the Demon's influence exhausted her nephalem. Still, she was proud that he did not lose control.
"So then, you fought his accomplices in the forest?" asked Sirzechs to his sister as Rias, Aidan and Koneko stood in front of him and Grayfia. Upon returning to the ballroom, they were shocked to see that the entire place was in ruins, filled with the corpses of Demons and fallen Devil guards. Asia was already working on healing many of the wounded while Sirzechs relayed to them the ambush by Loki and the Demons.
"Yes," Rias confirmed. "Bikou and Kuroka to be exact."
The man then looked to Koneko and asked, "And did they leave our Koneko unharmed?"
Rias looked down at the small Rook, standing between her and Aidan.
"She's in a bit of shock but mostly fine," She said, as Koneko looked down with a smile. "No surprise. Koneko is a member of my esteemed household after all."
"Then I made the right decision letting her to you," Sirzechs praised his little sister, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You've become a true master over your household, Rias. I'm very proud of you."
Rias smiles at that as she looks back down at Koneko, patting her head gently.
But as for Aidan, he walks over to one of the Deceiver corpses and kneels on the ground on one knee as if he were examining the corpse. In his mind, something about this attack felt off. Why the Demons would attack the Three Factions at this critical moment regarding the alliance of the other mythologies is beyond him. As far as he knew, the Burning Hells and the High Heavens have little to no interest with the other realms as they are seen as inferior to them. But despite having existed longer than the other realms and having such awesome power, the Elder Angels and Demons pale in comparison to some of the gods. In the end though, it was the nephalem who triumph over all, even gods.
Countless worlds and realms burned to the torch as the High Heavens and the Burning Hells waged war against one another for eons unaccounted. And wherever those worlds out in the universe burned, they shined their light like stars, hiding away the truth from the onlookers beyond their reach.
So many questions regarding Loki ran through Aidan's head. The God of Mischief's possession of the Deceivers, who answer only to Belial, the Lord of Lies and one of the Lesser Evils, was the one more disturbing. How or why Loki had them is unknown and it is unlikely he would've made a bargain with the Seven Evils considering how they would not trust him and would rather much kill him on the spot.
But if Aidan thinks about it, then perhaps Loki is not what he seems to be. Either that, or it is something much far worse.
LATER…
Later on, the female members of Rias and Sona's Peerage, including the Phenex Maids, were sitting in and around a large bathtub in one of the many bathhouses at the Gremory Estate. Everyone's wounds were all healed up, and now they were trying to relax after fighting the Demons.
"Well that's what I call a crazy day," Xenovia exclaimed with a smile as she sits on the edge of the tub. "After angry gods and Demons, it's nice to be able to relax for a change."
"And it was good to see Irina again," Asia said standing in the tub. "She seems to be doing well."
Meanwhile, Tsubaki asked Sona, "Are you alright, milady?"
Sona, who was washing her arm, looked at her Queen with a smile. "I'm fine, thank you. I must admit, though, those Demons were extremely powerful, having been right under our noses this whole time. And to think Issei achieved his Balance Breaker… in a disgusting way so to speak."
"Yes…" Tsubaki noted. "I guess there is nothing we can do regarding that though. I admit I too am surprised."
"That's unbelievably awful," Akeno said to Koneko, as the two of them sat next to each other on the edge. She looked down at the water with a sad look on her face as Koneko stared blankly. "It can't be easy looking at your sister as an enemy."
Koneko then had a small smile on her face. "Like it or not, you erase family when they betray you. I don't know why she really did what she did, but I've decided not to focus on it. I'll focus on getting stronger."
This made Akeno smile. "Good! That's the positivity I like to hear," She said cheerfully.
But then it went away. As she looks at the reflection in the water, Akeno could only stare at it as her mind was conflicted, regarding her father's current state. She wondered though, could she really reconcile with him after all she had felt for him all these years?
Xenovia then asked, "Say, where's Rias and Aidan?"
AT A PRIVATE BATH…
In a private bathtub that is usually reserved for Sirzechs and Grayfia, moans were already heard from Aidan and Rias. The nephalem sat in the bathwater with Rias sitting on his lap, her arms wrapped around his neck as she kisses him, their tongues tangling one another. The two pull one another close to have this intimate private moment for themselves.
Thank goodness the bathtub was rigged with noise-canceling runes just in case things get heated.
As for how the two had managed to have a private bath for themselves, well that was thanks for Sirzechs for allowing the two of them to have the bath for the day. Call it an offer of thanks for fending off Kuroka and Bikou, but it was an offer they could not refuse.
The two lovers keep kissing as their moans fill the air. Aidan's left hand gripped Rias' right butt cheek while his right hand gripped her left breast. Rias merely pulls him deeper into the kiss as she starts grinding her hips onto his, feeling something hard underneath.
They let go of their lips as they pant for air, staring into each other's eyes lovingly.
"Hey, do you mind…if I ask you something?" Aidan asked as she catches his breath.
Rias looked at him curiously. "Go on."
"How did you know that I was going after Koneko when I ran after her?"
To that, she smiles and places a hand on his chest. "Because I know you, my love. And it is my job to keep an eye on my servants, whether it be a Devil or my handsome nephalem."
Aidan smiles back in response as he and Rias share a tender kiss. "You always are looking out for us just as we look after you. Why don't I take you out for another date sometime soon? There's this nice island in the Caribbean that I know of where we can walk on the seashore hand in hand. It's uninhabited and has a nice little house that nobody uses."
Blushing brightly at the prospect, Rias smiles. "Of course, I would love to. But first…"
Rias soon feels Aidan's phallus rub against her honey pot, wanting to go in. "I can no longer hold back."
With that said, the two resume their passionate and lust-filled makeout session. Aidan wanted to just thrust himself into Rias right now like no tomorrow, and Rias wanted him to do just that. In their make out session, Aidan spins his body and Rias' around to where Rias laid on her back against the cold marble by the edge of the bath.
And from there, another intimate session between master and servant, Devil and nephalem, followed. Luckily for the two of them, nobody caught wind of their love making, not even the sound of loud moans echoing throughout the place.
Unfortunately, in the aftermath of their bathing, they were called over by the rest of the Four Great Satans later that evening. Upon learning the reason for the summoning, it was decided with a unanimous vote, Odin's included, that Rias and Sona's Peerage will have the task to finish what had begun earlier today.
To battle Loki, the Norse God of Mischief.
There is... not really much to say about this chapter other than one big ass battle with the Demons. Of course, there is Loki, who is now suddenly revealed to be aligned with the Burning Hells and declares for Belial, the Lord of Lies and one of the four Lesser Evils. But for every trickster god, there is more to him than one would think.
Kuroka vs Aidan. Nekomata vs nephalem. One a power hungry nekomata believing she is looking out for her little sister turned Devil, the other a cursed existence never to exist in all of creation. And we finally know the outcome of who came out on top. Do not worry. Kuroka is not going to be killed but she will be given a "scar" of fear for Aidan because of his battle with her.
One thing about this story that I feel has been bothering me is Issei, mainly of how much screen time he has which is practically almost none, save for a few bits here and there. So throughout this season, I am going to try and expand his character a bit more, even more so after the season is over to ensure he is not forgotten. He will play a big role in the Loki battle to come so that I am not discarding him. Nor Saji as well.
Oh and also, Sona is NOT going to be a part of Aidan's harem. As tempting as that is to make her, she's just going to be considered someone with a small crush and admiration for Aidan but will not bloom into love out of her respect for Rias.
Not to mention his Balance Breaker scene needed to be shown, along with how he achieved it. And for the record, Ravel is finally the first to want to be in his harem. Now we know at least that she has a crush on the Red Dragon Emperor and not the nephalem. Also, the rest of Issei's harem in the canon, excluding the ORC members, will appear and be a part of said harem.
By the way, the newcomer Julian is another OC created and collaborated with drakin6345. All rights and credits go to him for being given permission to create this new OC in my story. He will appear more and more later on as part of the Vali Team.
